Chapter 50 withered beauty

full moon 林清玄 383Words 2018-03-18
Sitting in an upstairs coffee shop on Renai Road, watching the leaves of the linden tree on the road, saying goodbye to the branches one by one, falling down, sometimes when a gust of wind blows, the linden leaves are flying and dancing all over the sky. In the withering, there is a kind of beauty of freedom . Several linden trees that fell early have grown new leaves. The young leaves of the linden trees are between light yellow and pink. Under the sun, they are as beautiful as the water moon and transparent as glass. In front of the crystal-clear floor-to-ceiling windows, seeing the zero adjustment and new leaves of the Bodhi tree reminds me of a poem by Master Han Shan:

The world is as bright as the moon, The body and mind are as bright as glass. But seeing the bottom of the ice disappear, I don't know the flowers and branches in spring. This withering and new life are originally the same world. The ice and snow at the bottom of the stream melted, and it was the same beauty as the flowers blooming on the branches in the spring scene.Or, the snow in the stream is the rain and dew that have nourished the flowers; or, the brilliant flower face is brilliant after sucking the milk of ice and snow! It is natural for all karma to melt and freeze, or to sprout and bloom. We can't stop a flower from withering even if we try our best.We try our best, but we can't make any fallen leaves return to the branches, so we must treat the silent presentation of the earth with respect and affection!
