Chapter 23 truth

full moon 林清玄 421Words 2018-03-18
Someone came to ask me about the "truth", which made me lost and unable to answer. From the point of view of Buddhism, the truth is the real body of inaction, which is used to compare with those in the secular world. If this statement is true, then there is truth everywhere in the clouds that come out of nowhere, in the wind that floats freely, in the flowers that bloom beautifully, and in the birds that fly over the wild. Buddhism also said that there is neither birth nor death, neither existence nor non-existence, and the original nature of all dharmas is the truth. , then in the blue sky and ocean, in the fragrance of grass floating in the air, in the mountains where the snow has accumulated and melted, and in the green mountains and forests in spring, summer, autumn and winter, there are also truths.

However, can we experience and perceive the truth that is manifesting everywhere? The truth is eternal, and in the accidental flash, only those who can experience it can reflect it, just as a farmer looks at the lightning in the sky and knows its meaning. The truth is inaction, hidden in the appearance of things, only those who can perceive can get it, just like the traces of bamboo shoot farmers and observers can find spring bamboo shoots. The truth is not hidden, and those who have the heart will find it. I said to the person who came to ask: "I can't interpret the truth either. The only thing I know is that the truth must come from experience and awareness, and it must be my own. Anyone who relies on or doubts is not."
