Zhu Ziqing's Prose Collection 朱自清 1768Words 2018-03-18
Liu Yunbo Female Physician Liu Yunbo is a female obstetrician and gynecologist in Chengdu. She has been practicing medicine in Chengdu for ten years. She opened a Hongji Hospital by herself, and during the Anti-Japanese War, she also served as the director of the obstetrics and gynecology department of the Chengdu Central Military Academy Hospital, and also served as the director of the obstetrics and gynecology department of the Chengdu Municipal Hospital. After the victory, the military academy hospital was demobilized to Nanjing. She couldn't go there separately. Last year, she also served as the principal of the Chengdu Advanced Medical Vocational School. I wrote this series of resumes and saw that she was a busy person. It's not uncommon for a busy person to be busy, but it's rare that she never does anything in public; she is really busy with work, not with entertainment and so on.She is not sloppy because she is busy, but she has to fulfill her responsibilities everywhere.Busy people are the easiest to put on airs and look down on others, but she doesn't have airs, so she is popular--because she is popular, she is more busy.In the past ten years, many Chengdu people have approached her, but we have never heard anything dissatisfied with her.She is popular, of course; what is more important is her meticulous care for patients. She is not fulfilling her responsibilities coldly, and it will be over when she fulfills her responsibilities; she is "ready".

Dr. Liu and his wife were classmates in middle school, and they were very close to each other. After the Anti-Japanese War, my wife returned to his hometown in Chengdu, and was even more happy to meet old friends. My wife has lived in Chengdu for six years with her three children, during which she has helped a lot, especially in medicine. They kept going to her hospital to see a doctor, and all four of them had been hospitalized for a long time. I also admitted that she gave her 24 injections to treat the duodenal ulcer. We are familiar with her hospital and know her well. She is indeed a kind and good doctor. She studied medicine at the University of Jena in Germany and lived there for ten years. In her own hospital, besides obstetrics and gynecology, she also sees other patients, but her main and busiest work is delivering babies, and she is the most sought after. She made an appointment to deliver the baby, and when the due date came, she would keep an eye on the phone even when she went to bed at night. When a phone call came, or someone came to invite her, she immediately got up and left in a chartered car.Once a patient who didn't make an appointment sent someone to invite him in the middle of the night. The family was scattered in the suburbs, and they never invited her to see the maternity, nor did she have anyone to introduce her to.She resolutely agreed to go.The chartered car stopped at the edge of a field, and the person who came to invite him said that he had to walk a few ridges to get to the house. At that time, the night was as dark as ink, and there was no one looking around, she thought, could it be a scam by the kidnappers? But I had to be brave enough to bite the bullet and follow along. After receiving this false alarm, she did not say that she would not accept invitations from people she had never met in the suburbs in the middle of the night. She felt that it was her duty to deliver the baby.

Her sense of responsibility is passionate. She is always concerned about the patients living in her hospital because she is close to them—I always see her telling the nurses to greet them like this and that.Especially for those patients with serious conditions, she sometimes couldn't sleep thinking about it.She is not married, and often tells her wife that she regards the patient as a lover. This is by no means a beautiful sentence, she loves her patients seriously. She is a loyal Christian with a big heart of love, which can also be said to be a "motherly heart"-these four words I used to write a horizontal drape for her.She does not ignore the poor patients. The patients in her hospital, no matter how poor or rich they are, she always tells the nurses to be the same kind, and no difference is allowed. If she finds a difference, she will teach her a lesson mercilessly. The poor families in the neighborhood went to her hospital to see a doctor, and she often waived their fees, and she also went to these poor people's homes to deliver babies for free.It is naturally thicker for friends. One year, all three of our children developed rashes, the two-year-old daughter developed scarlet fever, and the two boys developed pneumonia. I was in Kunming at that time, and my wife had to take care of these three serious infectious patients alone.Fortunately, Dr. Liu allowed the little girl to live in her hospital. She tried her best to treat their illnesses, using the most effective medicines she had in stock, and those medicines were extremely rare in Chengdu at that time.Seeing that the little girl couldn't survive, she finally came to life in her hands. She really picked up a life out of thin air!She knows that teachers are poor and don't want us for a penny.Later, she saw a doctor and took medicine for us, but she never charged us a single cent.

As for us, we only gave her a pair of "Scholar's Favor". The text reads "Life and death are as flesh and bones, protecting the young is like saving the people", and we specially asked Brother Ye Shengtao to write it; this is our sincere heart.Of course we are grateful to her, but what is more admirable is her enthusiasm and sense of responsibility for treating patients as lovers. Doctor Liu is the second daughter of Mr. Liu Wanhe in Suining.Mr. Liu founded Liu Wanhe Silk Cloth Shop in Chengdu, which is still one of the largest shops in Chengdu.Mrs. Liu is a kind, diligent and thrifty old lady. Her family education is healthy.Dr. Liu loves these two elderly people.Unfortunately, the old lady passed away early, and the old gentleman also passed away a year before the Anti-Japanese War, leaving behind many young people.Dr. Liu received his Ph.D. from the University of Jena. He wanted to study for a while, but he hurried back home and took on the important task of educating his younger brothers. She loves her brothers, but disciplines them very strictly. Now that the younger brothers are all adults, she is taking care of the nephews and nieces again. This is also the expression of her enthusiasm and sense of responsibility. She was born in a rich family. People from rich families can be mean and generous. Her generosity is not unusual. What is truly rare is her tireless sympathy and tireless service.People from rich families often only know how to seek ease, and it is rare for people like her to cause trouble for themselves.Besides, it's good for ordinary doctors to be calm and serious, but it's rare for her to be kind to any patient like her!
