I do the same with the eggshell fragments left over from my childhood. I find it ridiculous, disgusting, and nostalgic. But what really keeps me in my memory and recollects it again and again is the moment when I peck the eggshell, the fresh air, the dazzling sky, and the feeling of stepping out of the eggshell that makes me feel ashamed and ecstatic.
