Deep works.But I have heard rumors about how it is a pity that Baike did not continue to study at Peking University.That made me think he was the perfect choice for this column.

The past with Baike has never been close.He graduated from a master's degree and came to the newspaper to apply for a job. I happened to be one of the interviewers that time.Question: Did you read China Youth Daily in the past?Baike smiled kindly, but without any shyness, replied: I haven't read it much, because I can't find this newspaper around me.Before I knew this, Baike had taken an exam in the photography department of the newspaper, and it was said that he was the first in the written exam.But when the director of the photography department asked him: Have you ever taken news photos in the past?The answer was: no.Ask again: Why do you want to work in the photography department?Answer: I heard that the photography department of "China Youth Daily" is the best in the photography circle.

Others don't know what to think of this kind of answer, but it is a bonus for me anyway.Baike later stayed in the interview center as a reporter, and we became colleagues.Although there is no direct business cooperation, I still want to read what he writes.Soon the reporters from his group were sent to the local reporter station to exercise. When Baike arrived, there were not many things written below, and the portraits disappeared.I didn't think of him until "Freezing Point Weekly" was launched and when the newspaper was recruiting new recruits. The column "Gou Shen" is positioned as a deceased scholar.Some have passed away for a long time, and some have passed away not long ago, but most of them are the group of scholars who came from the Republic of China.Those scholars lived in a very different era: the alternation of the old and the new, the collision of China and the West, and the meeting of wind and cloud, thus forming a demeanor, temperament, mind, knowledge and taste that are completely different from today's scholars.Their personalities may be pedantic, clumsy, idiotic or crazy, and they may be described as thousands of faces, but inside they are full of character, witty or elegant, basically guarded by the word "scholar".All in all, they are a group of "tough" but also "fun" and "interesting" people.

Once the tone is set, most of the editing work is almost done. The rest of the work, from the selection of people, selection of materials, conception, to digging through piles of old papers, and searching for relevant interviewees, is all done by Baike.I'm giving up.One or two days before the imposition every week, open the manuscript library, and "Hou Shen" will be waiting there.For the first few articles, I still needed to "deliberate" on the text, and later, Baike didn't even leave me room for "deliberation" on the text.He is a man with standards. From the day when "Bingdian Weekly" was first published, Baike provided "Gou Shen" with a text of about 1,600 characters every week. It took nearly two years to write without a break, and hooked up more than 70 articles from old papers or people's memories figure.Some of these characters are a little familiar to us, but what stands out is often his little-known side.There are also some characters, if Baike does not write, I am afraid that they will be completely obliterated and forgotten by time or era.These scholars with different attitudes, personalities, viewpoints, and fates have gathered together to form this book.As the original editor of these texts, when I re-read this manuscript today, I became in a daze for a while: Is this the "hooked" text edited by me?Although I had planned to publish a book in the future when I set up this column, the feeling of reading one article every week is quite different from reading it all at once.This is probably the so-called "the whole is greater than the sum of the parts" truth.

Baike has already gathered a group of niche readers through "hooking and sinking". This young man, who is not yet 30 years old, is often mistaken by fans to think that he has already passed the age of forty. And he has indeed started " The novice in the "Hook Shen" column has become one of the core figures of today's "Freezing Point Weekly". I believe that Baike has done a meaningful thing, and the Central Compilation and Translation Publishing House has made this meaning important.
