Chapter 26 The Subconscious Method: Ask the Little Ghosts for Help

What I want to talk to you today is this little ghost hiding in the depths-the "subconscious mind". Many successful people know how to use their subconscious mind. When others only use "conscious" thinking, they add more "subconscious" help, as if they have half a brain more than others. For example, Bertrand Russell, the great thinker who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1950, clearly stated in his memoirs how he used the subconscious mind. He said that when he was young, every time he faced a problem, he doubted his ability to solve it, and even became a little nervous. But gradually I found that thinking about it hard is often just a waste of time. Instead, it is better to think hard about the topic for a while, then put it aside, and think about it in the subconscious.Think about it after a while, and the problem becomes much easier.

Russell also said that the advantage of doing this is that he can use the time given to subconscious thinking to do other things. Einstein also said that he "was often so dizzy from thinking so hard that he had to hide for weeks." But that wasn't really hiding, it was thinking in the subconscious mind.So in Denis Brian's "Einstein: a life (1897-1955)", it is said: "(the day before he discovered the theory of relativity), Einstein went home disappointed, and wanted to go back to the world. It is impossible to find the truth in the known facts... But when he woke up the next day, he was very excited, saying that his head seemed to have experienced a big storm, and the answer was found. He finally opened the wisdom of God, Solved the mysteries of the universe."

Another example is German chemist Friedrich August Kekule von Stradinitz. Do you know how he discovered the molecular structure of benzene? Like the scientists at that time, he thought about it all day long, but couldn't figure it out.Until one night, he dreamed that there were many atoms spinning around him, those big and strange long chains, twisting like snakes.Suddenly, a snake bit its own tail and turned into a ring. Kirkul seemed to be awakened by lightning, and then published the ring structure of the benzene molecule. Why does he have such miraculous dreams? It's very simple, because when he thinks "consciously", he also puts the problem into the "subconscious mind".Even if the "consciousness" gives up the "subconsciousness" is still working secretly.

I also had a profound experience myself.I found that when I concentrated on writing the "Affectionate Series", everything I read could be associated with love and became lyrical prose. But another day, when I concentrate on writing a novel, no matter whether I watch TV or flip through the newspaper, there are always vivid stories that jump into my eyes. So I would say in "Whispers from the Firefly Window": "If you want to catch the lark of inspiration, you must always have your net ready." Not only do we think about it every day and dream at night, but when you think about it for a while, like Russell and Einstein, and then let go of that thing, but secretly suspense, it enters the "subconscious mind".It can also be said that when you take "it" and run on the road in your mind for a while, you can put it into the grass blades on the roadside, let it find its own way, and run in the wild trails in the deep mountains.

I am not talking nonsense.According to research, our left and right brains can think independently. We can even think about one thing with the left brain and another with the right. I also remember that when your grandma had a cerebral hemorrhage, the doctor said that there were many roads in the brain. When the area was destroyed and the roads became impassable, the brain would automatically think of ways to detour and open new roads.Because of this, many people who have cerebral hemorrhage to the point of being unable to speak or walk can recover gradually. And the roads in your mind are big and small. If you don’t use those small roads for a while, weeds will grow. On the contrary, the more you use them, the smoother they will be, and you can turn the small roads into big roads, thinking faster, remember better.

When you can't figure it out and make yourself anxious, it's better to let go and do other things to let the problem simmer in the subconscious. But watch out! You have to make it a big deal before you can drive your subconscious mind.If you don't care, or "let go", Just "put it all down", without suspense at all, it is impossible to let the subconscious mind play a role.
