Chapter 20 Chapter 6 Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva—If I don’t go to hell, who will go to hell?

In the Buddhist scriptures, the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is highly respected, and even once held a high position in place of the Buddha. However, the author is not writing a textual research, so I only use a book as the basis for the argument. In the book, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's status is very low, not among the twelve Bodhisattvas at all, and even in the long list in the last chapter, his name does not appear. What exactly does Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva do?It is said in the book that he is the "Lord of the Underworld", but this is not worthy of the name. The real power figure in the Netherworld is the Ten Kings of Hades. This point can be clearly seen, when Sun Wukong made a big fuss in the underworld for the first time, he, the leader, did not show up for such a big event, and the suing Sun Wukong was also the king of Hades who sent a note to heaven, and there was nothing about Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

But the first appearance of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was in the fifty-eighth chapter—but it was said that the two walkers yelled behind the Yin Mountain again, scaring the mountain ghosts into trembling and hiding. One who ran first crashed into the gate of Yinsi, and reported to the Senluo Palace: "My lord, on Beiyin mountain, there are two great sages equal to heaven who can fight!" King Chujiang in the third hall, Emperor Song in the third hall, King Biancheng in the fourth hall, King Yama in the fifth hall, King Pingping in the sixth hall, Taishan King in the seventh hall, Urban King in the eighth hall, Official Official King in the ninth hall, and Wheel-turning King in the tenth hall.Turning from one hall to another, in an instant, the ten kings gathered together, and people flew to report to King Ksitigarbha. All in the Senluo Hall, gather Yin soldiers, and wait to catch the real and the fake.

When a big event came, the younger brothers first reported to the ten kings of Hades, and only after the ten kings of Hades had gathered together did they send someone to find King Ksitigarbha. This can explain three points. First, whether Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva will appear or not depends entirely on whether the Ten Generations of Hades will approve or not; Can wait for the notification; third, the place where Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva lives is very closed, the news is very poor, and it can be said that it is almost isolated from the world, so it is necessary to report everything. This tells us that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva has little power and little effect, even negligible.

Then why did he appear in the Netherworld? The author believes that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is the victim of Tathagata's political interests. Isn't there a saying that goes like this, if I don't go to hell, who will go to hell?Who said this? It was said by the Buddha. The Buddha said that he would go to hell to experience the greatest suffering in the world and wash away the sins of all living beings. Of course, he said this to reflect the great compassion of my Buddha, but my Buddha also wants to control the entire Lingshan Mountain As a result, the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, the image spokesperson of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, took up his post and went to the Cuiyun Palace in the Underworld.

Therefore, only Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is qualified to shout: "If I don't go to hell, who will go to hell?" But here comes the question again, why did the Tathagata Buddha let Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva go to hell? The ten kings of Hades in hell are accompanied by bull-headed and horse-faced judges and impermanent beards and horses. In the underworld, they say the same thing, and each is in charge of a fat job. Life and death in the three realms are controlled by them, and the small life is very comfortable. , and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva? It can be seen from the text that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva lives in the Cuiyun Palace in the Netherworld all day long, and he seems to be accompanied only by the divine beast of Di Ting, and he does not participate in major activities, such as Monkey King making troubles in the underworld, canceling life and death I didn't see his shadow when I wrote the book, and I didn't see his shadow when Li Shimin was in the underworld. He closed his eyes and listened, and was in a daze. It can be seen that the bodhisattva's entry into hell is not a good job, but equivalent to being confined.

Why did such hardships fall on Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva? After studying the novel carefully, the author has to say that I don’t blame the Buddha for being cruel, but rather that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva’s ability is too weak. It can almost be said that his wisdom is not enough, his mana is not enough, and his way of dealing with the world is not enough. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva may belong to the kind of person who immerses himself in the study of Buddhist scriptures and only recognizes the principles of death. For this kind of person, academic research may be passable, but they cannot please the leaders. It was him that came to mind.

So what evidence does the author have to prove that Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's wisdom, magic power and way of dealing with people are not up to standard? It was the first time Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha appeared, and when the real and fake monkey kings made trouble in the underworld. Chapter Fifty-eighth - Lords of Yin each held their wats, and said to the traveler, "Great Sage, since there is no name to search for in the Netherworld, you still have to go to the Yangworld to find out." Bodhisattva's opinion) was speaking, only to hear the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva saying: "Stay! Stay! Wait for me to listen to you to find out whether it is true or not." name.If he lies down on the ground, in an instant, between the mountains, rivers, shrines, caves and blessed land of the four major continents, naked insects, scale insects, caterpillars, feather insects, insects, heavenly immortals, earth immortals, immortals, human immortals, and ghost immortals can reflect good and evil. , Listen to the wise and foolish.According to Dizangjun's order, the beast fell prostrate on the ground in the garden of Senluo. After a while, he raised his head and said to Dizang: "Although there is a strange name, you can't reveal it in person, and you can't help to capture him." The goblin has a vicious hair and disturbs the palace, causing unrest in the Underworld." He asked again, "Why can't you help us capture it?" He listened and said, "The spirit of the goblin is the same as that of Sun Dasheng. The god of the nether world has so much magic power, so he can't capture it. Ksitigarbha said: "How can we get rid of it like this?" Di Ting said, "Buddhism is boundless." Ksitigarbha has already realized it.

In this situation, the most outstanding performer is not Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, but his divine beast, Truth Listening. At the very beginning, Lord Yin has already told Sun Wukong who is true and false, no one in the underworld can tell which of you two is true and who is false, you should go to Yangjian to find another master. This is because Lord Yin doesn't want the real and fake Monkey King to be entangled in the underworld and ruin his own territory, so he wants to send the two monkeys away quickly.Anyone with a discerning eye can see this idea, but Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva quit. The two monkeys were about to leave, but Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva shouted: "Stay! Stay! Wait for me to listen and talk to you." You've heard the truth." Doesn't this mean exposing Yinjun's lies to his face? The Yin Jun who was slapped by this slap was red-faced and extremely embarrassed. Just imagine, if you were the Yin Jun, what would you think of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's way of dealing with people?

Next, Di Ting has already heard which of the two monkeys is the real Sun Wukong, but Di Ting is far smarter than Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, but he didn’t say it out, but Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva couldn’t think of that much, and asked Di Ting three times—why didn’t he say it? come out?Why can't you beat it?So what to do?This is almost an idiot's performance. In contrast, Di Ting is very calm, wise and resourceful. The last sentence "Ksitigarbha has already awakened" is simply a great irony. This is the manifestation of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's ignorance. The strength of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is reflected in another sentence of Di Ting - "The spirit of the demon is the same as Sun Dasheng. The god of the netherworld has so much mana, so he cannot be captured." It can be seen that in Di Ting's own mind, The strength of his own master Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is almost negligible in front of such a powerful person as Sun Wukong.

This also makes it clear why Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was sent to the underworld to be a political victim of the Tathagata.Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva has no ability. He has been in the underworld for so long, but he has not developed a single eyeliner. For Lingshan, he cannot provide any important information. If you see Lingshan, you will be angry if you see it. If you don’t go to hell, who will go to hell? So in the end, the Lingshan organization simply crossed off his establishment, and he was directly removed from the Twelve Bodhisattvas, so you can stay in the underworld forever.
