Chapter 2 Chapter 1 Sun Wukong - The Mystery of Life and Death

Sun Wukong is the most important role in the whole book, and it is also the only one that runs through the whole book. The author believes that Wu Chengen created this role to imply his own ideals on Sun Wukong, and the process of Sun Wukong from life to death is actually It is the process of the author's ideal from birth to death. Perhaps, many people will ask, isn't Sun Wukong immortal and immortal? How could he go from life to death?when did he die? Don't worry, everyone, and listen to the author one by one. Sun Wukong is different from ordinary creatures. He has no father and no mother. He comes out of rocks and turns into a monkey shape with the wind. This legendary way of birth was unprecedented and unheard of, but it happened to be the birth of Monkey King! The birth of Sun Wukong represents the birth of an absolute free power, no king, no father, no mother, no ancestors, no brothers, no brothers, so he will not be bound by any secular ethics, the three cardinal principles and the five constant principles, he is free in himself!

As we all know, the author lived in the Ming Dynasty, the Han Dynasty, Tang Dynasty, Song Dynasty, and Ming Dynasty. These four dynasties were built by the Han people and were most sought after by later generations, and the Ming Dynasty was the most severe of the above four dynasties. During the dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang peeled day lilies, Zhu Di became bloodthirsty, and in the middle and late Ming Dynasty, factory guards ran rampant, and eunuchs came and went one after another. It was an era when the subjects of the world were extremely restrained. Whether it was body or mind, the entire Ming government was almost It is a huge secret service agency, and the invisible shackles are always shrouded in thousands of people.

Wu Cheng'en, who lived in that era, created the image of Monkey King, completely pinning on his own ideal of liberating the mind and body. This is the reason why Sun Wukong was shaped. Knowing this, it is not difficult for us to understand what Sun Wukong did. When Sun Wukong was the Monkey King, he once said: "Although today is not under the law of the king of men, and he is not afraid of the prestige of beasts, in the future, he will be old and bloody, and he will be in charge of him secretly. Once he dies, he will live in the world in vain. Live in heaven and man for a long time?" From this, he went out to sea by boat, traveled all over the world, found the art of Master Subhuti, and later made a big disturbance in the netherworld, canceling the book of life and death. All these actions are completely to get rid of the restraint of death ; And when he went to the Heavenly Palace, it was not because Sun Wukong was greedy for fame, wealth and wealth, but because there was an emperor in heaven who was in charge of him, and he was dissatisfied and unhappy. The sky is as high as the earth, the same age as the earth, no restraint, life and death, this is the real pursuit of Monkey King.

Further analysis, the freedom that Sun Wukong pursues is not personal freedom, but the freedom of the whole people, absolute freedom!First of all, he wrote off all monkeys from the life and death book of Yan Luodian; second, he wanted to break the original ruling system, trying to drive away the Jade Emperor and take turns to sit on the throne; , Regardless of their status, they are all called brothers and sisters. This is the freedom of the whole people and absolute freedom that Sun Wukong yearned for, and it was these that caused the great panic of the ruling power at that time. Therefore, Taoist ancestors and Buddhas dispatched together to strangle Sun Wukong in the cradle of absolute freedom.

Therefore, if Sun Wukong is alive, he must be free, and if he is not free, he must die! Sun Wukong, who was born free, fought hard for more freedom, and making trouble in Tiangong was the pinnacle of Sun Wukong's life. The decaying power of Tiangong was vulnerable to Sun Wukong. , the Jade Emperor panicked, the gods vanished invisible, and the Buddha of the Western Paradise rushed over. The rulers of the Three Realms either resented, feared, or admired Wukong, but no one could tolerate his existence! It can be said that Monkey King was finally eliminated step by step by Tathagata, and Tathagata eliminated Monkey King through three processes.

In the first process, the great magic power was exerted, and the mountain crushed Wukong's body.Tathagata used five hundred years of restraint to wear down Sun Wukong's will, so as to let Sun Wukong understand that absolute freedom is impossible, you can have relative freedom at most, a little more freedom than ordinary people, the body is not rotten, and the spirit is always there. For others, the grades are still there, and the dignity is still there. In this process, Monkey King's will is super strong, even five hundred years of oppression, it has not shaken his pursuit of freedom in the slightest! He was still rebellious, and when he saw Avalokitesvara, he dared to scold the Tathagata; he was still unruly, and after worshiping Tang Seng as his teacher, he killed the six thieves!A little reprimanded by Tang Seng, he immediately quit. When he was put on a magic spell, he almost killed the master he had just worshiped. It can be seen that at this time, Sun Wukong was not dead in his heart, and he was still daring in the eyes of the ruler. Stubborn.

In the second process, the magic spell was invented and locked on Wukong's head.Tathagata sent Avalokitesvara to find the disciples of the Buddhist scriptures, and taught the mantra to Avalokitesvara, who then passed it on to Tang Seng. When Tang Seng put the mantra on Monkey King's head, Monkey King's inner death officially began. During this process, Sun Wukong was extremely angry and unbearable to be bound by the curse. When he was in a hurry, he almost wanted to kill Tang Seng who rescued him from the mountain, but later he became afraid and even gradually got used to it.It can be said that Tathagata bound Sun Wukong's heart with Tang Seng, and bound Sun Wukong's body with a magic spell. Sun Wukong walked towards the realm of body death and heart death step by step without knowing it or having nothing to do.

In the third process, Tathagata exerts coercion, and Wukong eliminates the demons. The exact time of Sun Wukong's inner death is the moment when he completely succumbed to the ruling power, and that moment is also the moment when he killed the six-eared macaque. In the author's opinion, the six-eared macaque is actually Sun Wukong's heart, that is, the heart ape mentioned by Wu Chengen all the time throughout the book. Regarding the six-eared macaque, the author will describe it in detail later in the article, so I won't elaborate too much here. Now that the life and death of Monkey King has been clarified, the author will further analyze the relationship between Monkey King and Tang Seng. The author believes that the relationship between Monkey King and Tang Seng is essentially a "father-son relationship".

Why do you say father-son relationship?Sun Wukong is a born stone monkey, without father and mother, and was weathered into a monkey-like appearance, but fate has given him a master, and this master can almost be said to be his father. Since Sun Wukong was crushed by Tathagata to the foot of the Five Elements Mountain, his tragic fate began. He lost his freedom. He was once the Monkey King, and he will soon be forgotten by people. If Sun Wukong wants to be reborn, he must break away from the shackles of the Five Elements Mountain and regain his freedom! Therefore, for Sun Wukong, whoever gives Sun Wukong freedom is the reborn parent of Monkey King!

This great, glorious and challenging mission was finally completed by Tang Seng after Jin Chanzi's tenth reincarnation. Let me ask you a question first, how many years does it take to reincarnate in the tenth life? A thousand years, you might think. It won't be that long. In ancient times, a person lived to be fifty or sixty years old. Normally, five hundred years in the tenth life would be great. Sun Wukong was suppressed at the foot of the Five Elements Mountain for exactly five hundred years. Therefore, Jin Chanzi's reincarnation and Sun Wukong's being suppressed under the Five Elements Mountain were at a very close time. Therefore, the author boldly speculates that Jin Chanzi's reincarnation is not accidental, but someone can arrange it, and it can even be speculated that Jin Chanzi brought him One of the missions is to liberate Monkey King.

After Tang Seng liberated Monkey King, he became the moral father of Monkey King. And Tathagata finally succeeded in trapping Monkey King's body and mind with the magic spell and Tang Seng. On the way to learn the scriptures, Monkey King never gave up on Tang Seng and never left voluntarily (the first time he killed the robber and ran away angrily, it can only be said that he was angry for a while, Monkey King was just playing with his temper and had a drink in the East China Sea The wine came back), and Tang Seng expelled Monkey King twice, and Monkey King was able to re-convert in the end regardless of the past. This kind of deep affection almost "father and son" is of course derived from the release of Liangjie Mountain.Sun Wukong, who had no emotional fetters at first, began to have a relationship worthy of ties. He treated Tang Seng like a son to his father. He is Tang Seng's real apprentice. Zhu Bajie, Sha Monk and Xiaobailong are not. They are for atonement, or they may have other plans. The only time Sun Wukong wanted to kill Tang Seng was because Tang Seng restricted his freedom again - tricking him into wearing a magic spell. This is equivalent to Tang Seng rescued him with his own hands, and then killed him with his own hands. This made him psychologically unbearable, so he became angry for a while and wanted to kill Tang Seng. But after not killing this time, Monkey King never wanted to kill Tang Seng again. This is not because he is afraid of Tang Seng chanting the magic spell. He has too many chances to kill Tang Seng. It can be said that it is easy. He can use a method without knowing it, such as invisibility, such as body fixing, to kill Tang Seng. An old monk with a mortal body and no strength to restrain a chicken. Monkey King didn't kill because of his gratitude. He restrained himself with gratitude. From then on, Monkey King became an independent Monkey King. Under absolute freedom, Sun Wukong is almost invincible, as the defeat of one hundred thousand heavenly soldiers and generals is an example. However, on the way to learn the scriptures, Monkey King's performance can only be said to be unsatisfactory. Sun Wukong's actions were not as clean and smooth as the Havoc in the Heavenly Palace, and he even moved rescuers many times, constantly displaying intrigues and tricks. There are five reasons why Sun Wukong behaved like this. First, the bondage of the curse. The curse not only restrains Sun Wukong's freedom, but also restrains Sun Wukong's mana, because this is the magic weapon of Tathagata.Tathagata wants to use this to bind Monkey King's body and mind. Since he wants to loosen Monkey King's body and mind, it is impossible for Monkey King to kill without any scruples. Therefore, Monkey King's mana will be greatly reduced under the shackles of the curse. Second, the bondage of Tang Seng.Sun Wukong's character is jealous of evil, and he will do everything possible to get rid of evil, but Tang Seng is compulsively comfortable with Sun Wukong's personality. When Sun Wukong killed the robber twice and beat the bone spirit three times, Tang Seng not only showed great dissatisfaction and indignation, but also almost cursed Sun Wukong to death twice, which made it impossible for Monkey King to be unscrupulous in fighting. Third, psychological constraints. In the past, Monkey King usually had no worries when fighting, but once he was concerned, it was easy to reduce his combat effectiveness. When the Heavenly Palace was in trouble, Erlang Shen sent his grass-headed soldiers to arrest Monkey King's monkey grandson everywhere, so that Monkey King could not concentrate on fighting with Erlang God. This is one example. On the way to learn Buddhist scriptures in the Western Paradise, Sun Wukong also had a psychological burden. In addition to worrying about Tang Monk being cheated, frightened to death, captured, and eaten, he also had to worry about the safety of the two pussy juniors. Can use 50%.So Sun Wukong often said to Zhu Bajie and Monk Sha that as long as you can protect Master well, I can kill the monsters. Not afraid of enemies like tigers and wolves, but a helper like a pig, but Zhu Bajie is a pig. Fourth, the consideration of learning from scriptures. The keynote of the whole learning process is to go through disasters, and Sun Wukong is very clear about this. That's why Sun Wukong said to Zhu Bajie that the old monk suffered disasters every step of the way, and he was in trouble everywhere. Without my grandson, he would not be able to go to the West Paradise. Therefore, it is impossible for Sun Wukong to use thunder methods to kill the heavenly soldiers and generals like he did in the Heavenly Palace, and then walk. Fifth, scruples about the ruling class. Most of the monsters that Sun Wukong met on the way to learn the scriptures have a deep background. Whenever Sun Wukong is about to kill him, someone always comes out and says, don’t hit him, he is my pet, he is my apprentice, and he is my relative! How can this make Sun Wukong feel embarrassed? Therefore, when Sun Wukong fights monsters, he is often full of contradictions. Whether he should fight or not, he feels uneasy. Sixth, away games.I don’t need to say much about this point. There is an old saying in China that “a strong dragon does not overwhelm a local snake”. Sun Wukong’s confrontation with all the monsters on the road to learn the scriptures is an away battle. The monsters are in their own territory. You can eat when you are hungry, drink when you are thirsty, dig traps if you have nothing to do, and hide in caves if you have something to do, the chances of winning will naturally increase greatly. Therefore, there is no doubt that when a person is restrained by various subjective and objective factors, his ability will often be greatly reduced. Sun Wukong's experience tells us that no matter what your background is, no matter what legendary experience you have, even if you are wise, extraordinary, even if you are amazingly capable, you will not have absolute freedom to chase after you. Under the environment, rules must be spoken and rules must be obeyed! You are a living being, not a savior. One person cannot save the public, and one person cannot change the environment. If the edges and corners are too sharp, they will be smoothed out sooner or later. Even if you are as powerful as Sun Wukong, you must know that your leader or your boss will definitely be as powerful as Taishang Laojun or Xitian Buddha. Don't easily challenge the authority of the leader, and don't become a different kind of existence in the eyes of the leader, otherwise the world's magic spell is designed for you, and you will wear it, and you will suffer from body and soul until your heart dies. Another point, you can always remember that when your opponent is strong enough to destroy you, when he hits you to the ground and humiliates you wantonly, but has no intention of destroying you, please don't get up immediately, let alone Don't stretch your ideals and strength, you are neither capable nor qualified, yielding and forbearance is the best choice.Han Xin knew this, so he could get into the crotch of a rascal; Liu Bei knew this, so he nestled in the garden to grow vegetables; Cai E knew this, so he fought crickets and went to brothels. But Sun Wukong, who doesn't know this way, has been suppressed under the Five Elements Mountain for more than 500 years. Sun Wukong is dead, and what remains is just another successful self-cultivation fighting against Buddha. There is no more the soaring arrogance of the Monkey King outside the Water Curtain Cave under the Huaguo Mountain, and no more the arrogance of Sun Dasheng in the Lingxiao Temple above the Nine Layers of Clouds! There are only the heroes of the past who have gradually drifted away after traveling west...
