Chapter 14 Chapter 14 Eternal suspense says thick black

Confucius' Analects? In the chapter "Li Ren", there is such an unsolved case through the ages: The Master said: "Shenhu, my way is consistent." Zeng Zi said: "Only." When Zi went out, the disciples asked, "What do you mean?" Zeng Zi said: "The Master's way is nothing more than loyalty and forgiveness." This story, like a small drama, is full of humor and confusion. Confucius said to his disciple Zeng Shen: "Zeng Shen, you have to remember that your teacher and my theory have a core." Zeng Shen nodded: "Teacher, I understand."

So Confucius nodded in satisfaction and left. The rest of the disciples rushed up and surrounded Zeng Cantuan: "Tell us quickly, what exactly is the core that the teacher just mentioned?" Zeng Shen replied calmly: "The core of what the teacher said, there are two, one is loyalty, and the other is forgiveness." Zeng Zi's answer made subsequent generations of learners fall into the fog of Wuli. Here, Confucius clearly mentioned one core, but Zeng Shen explained that there are actually two. Could it be that Confucius missed one?Or did Zeng Shen say one more thing? In fact, this issue also involves the evil side of human nature, while Confucianism tends to be bright.Whenever we encounter dark places in human nature, we hide them deeply and keep them secret.Unless you think hard, study hard and ponder, you can find out the final answer. You must know that the darkest part of human nature is most afraid of being exposed. Once it is revealed, a kind person who is originally a law-abiding person may have a strong evil impulse. And if you spend your time studying this issue, you will think through the issue thoroughly, which will generate powerful spiritual power and enable you to successfully resist the temptation of darkness and evil.

In front of this big oolong that Confucius put for us, generations of researchers want to cry but have no tears, and they don't know what to do with themselves. This is because researchers habitually believe that Confucius' Confucianism is built on the basis of the inherent goodness of human nature, but these people don't think about it. If Confucius really believed that human nature is inherently good, then he still spent so much effort. What to educate the people? If Confucius' views are based on human nature and kindness, why is there any need to dodge and make a big mistake?

So what kind of oolong did Confucius and his disciple Zeng Shen put up here? Let's superimpose the words of Confucius and Zeng Shen together, and study them carefully: the way of the master is consistent, and it is just loyalty and forgiveness. Let's first take a look at what this loyalty means. Is it the loyalty to the emperor in our traditional history? No, in fact, Confucius himself was most opposed to being loyal to the monarch. He mentioned it more than once in his poems: if the state has the way, the valley; It means that when the ruler understands the truth and cares about the people, he should serve him and let the people live a prosperous and decent life. When the ruler tries to defeat the people and treats the people like a bandit, then let them leave. After all, intellectuals are incapable of fighting against violent groups. Keeping the fire of thought and passing on the fire, sooner or later the tyrant will be in fear. Among them are cast aside by the people.

It can be seen from this that the loyalty mentioned by Zeng Shen is by no means loyal to the emperor as understood by later generations. Its most appropriate interpretation is to be loyal to one's own life beliefs, to the supreme interests of the nation, to the conscience of intellectuals, to the innermost The pursuit and desire for ideas, knowledge, and truth. Once you persist in this kind of loyalty, you will find that you need a very thick skin to deal with others' incomprehension of you.At the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, the troops of the Yuan people were destroyed and went straight to the Southern Song Dynasty. The small empire of the Southern Song Dynasty was about to be wiped out. At this time, the national hero Wen Tianxiang stepped forward and called on the people to unite and jointly resist the invasion of the Yuan invaders.

The Yuan people discovered that Wen Tianxiang had great influence among the Han people, so they had a plan and spread rumors that Wen Tianxiang had surrendered to the Yuan people. The public didn't know that the news was false, and when they found out, they were furious. When they saw Wen Tianxiang, they threw bricks and tiles, and they kept calling him a traitor. Soon, Wen Tianxiang returned again and set up a banner to save the country, but in the end he was outnumbered and captured by the Yuan people, and he died heroically. Let's take a look at Wen Tianxiang's road of blood and tears. He wholeheartedly saved the country for the people, but was misunderstood by the people. After suffering such a great grievance, Wen Tianxiang still remained infatuated, remained loyal to his own nation, and refused to surrender to other races. This kind of loyalty can be said to be shocking and weeping ghosts and gods. It is the nourishment of Confucianism that has created such a great spiritual power for our nation.

But looking at it from another perspective, Wen Tianxiang was so misunderstood by the people he was loyal to and suffered such humiliation, yet he still stuck to his beliefs. It is a thick word that tells the truth. If Wen Tianxiang's face was a little thinner, he would not be able to hold on any longer.I have good intentions for you people, but you beat me and abuse me, and I still want to be loyal to you...Why?If he thinks this way, if he loses his perseverance, he will also lose his inner faith. Let’s look at Zeng Shen’s “forgiveness” again. If it is said that loyalty and loyalty have the same origin, they are both an attitude towards life and an unshakable belief in perseverance, then forgiveness is synonymous with black, and both refer to the way of treating others.

However, Hei is obviously unscrupulous and ruthless regardless of the consequences, while Shu is completely opposite to Hei, asking for tolerance, understanding and gentleness towards others. They are obviously opposite things, how can they be said to be synonyms? In fact, we only need to think about it to understand it.If it is said that black is "unforgiveness", then forgiveness is "not black", but whether it is "unforgiveness" or "not black", its foothold is black. If you don't have dark feelings in your heart, how can you generate great thoughts of forgiveness?

Now we finally understand that, whether it is forgiveness or blackness, they are the awakening power when we face the dark part of our hearts.Without the comparison of Shu, the value of black cannot be reflected, and without the contrast of black, the greatness of Shu cannot be shown. If you didn't have black thoughts, then your actions can't be called forgiveness at all.If you have the idea of forgiveness, it must be after black thinking. Black is the black of forgiveness, forgiveness is the forgiveness of black, black is not known without black, and there is no forgiveness without black.Blackness and forgiveness are actually two sides of the same coin. If you turn it over, you will be black, and if you turn it over, you will be forgiven. The more you forgive each other, the stronger the dark power in your heart will be.Unless you can hack to a certain extent, you can't forgive to the extent you want.

During the Three Kingdoms War, Cao Cao defeated Yuan Shao at Guandu. After Yuan Shao died, his son Yuan Shang fled to Gongsun Kang in Liaodong for help.Cao Cao's generals, fearing that Yuan Shang would join forces with Gongsun Kang, eagerly urged Cao Cao to pursue the poor bandits with his remaining bravery, and not to be known as the overlord, but Cao Cao refused: Xiahou Dun quoted everyone to report: "Gongsun Kang, the prefect of Liaodong, has not obeyed him for a long time. Now Yuan Xi and Yuan Shang are going to vote for him again, which will cause future troubles. It is better to take advantage of the fact that they have not moved, and go to conquer them quickly, and Liaodong can be obtained." Cao Cao said with a smile. : "Don't bother you, Lord Huwei. A few days later, Gongsun Kang sent the head of the two Yuans here." All the generals refused to believe...

No wonder the generals refused to believe it. It stands to reason that if the broom does not reach, the dust will not go away automatically. If you don’t beat anything that is reactionary, it will not fall.Cao Cao didn't say to Yuan Shang to quickly plow the courtyard to sweep the hole and clear it out, but he generously "forgave" him. What's the reason for this? Xiahou Dun and Zhang Liao reported, "If you don't go to Liaodong, you can go back to Xudu. I'm afraid Liu Biao will be angry." Cao Cao said, "When the second Yuan leader arrives, he will even return to the army." Everyone laughed secretly.Suddenly it was reported that Gongsun Kang of Liaodong sent people to send Yuan Xi and Yuan Shang's heads, and everyone was shocked... On this occasion, we suddenly realized that Cao Cao's so-called generosity of forgiveness was just that he was too insightful into the weaknesses of human nature, knowing that wherever there are people, there must be disputes.Yuan Shang went to vote for Gongsun Kang. If Cao Cao was too dark-hearted and rushed to kill him, it would arouse the hatred between Yuan Shang and Gongsun Kang, and they would join forces to deal with him.On the contrary, if he forgives each other generously, Yuan Shang and Gongsun Kang will kill each other instead. In the end, just as Cao Cao expected, Gongsun Kang killed Yuan Shang and even sent his head to Cao Cao. From this story, we can find that the so-called forgiveness is just another level of black heart.Loyalty means thick, forgiveness confirms blackness, so needless to say, we also know what Confucius' consistent thoughts are.
