Chapter 6 05 We are all disaster victims

Are you happy? 白岩松 12441Words 2018-03-18
When a person reaches middle age, there will always be some changes compared with when he was young, such as his attitude towards sunshine and warmth. When I was young, probably because I was from the north, I always liked cold winters. The sun in my hometown is always abundant no matter whether it is winter or summer, so I didn't pay much attention to it. However, as I grow older, I find that my preferences are quietly changing. My preference for cold seems to be giving way to warmth. At the same time, my expectation and love for sunshine are unprecedented.Every morning, open the curtains, no matter whether it is winter or summer, if it is sunny, the rest of the day will be a good time.

In the spring of 2010, I was particularly shocked. Winter lingered and spring was always far away. This was almost the coldest spring I had ever encountered in Beijing, or in other words, it was the longest winter. And the sun is also extraordinarily stingy. One morning after another, the curtains are opened again and again, the sky is always gray, and the mood is also slowly declining this spring. The coldness of the season was enough, but the blow of parting from life and death came again.Perhaps, none of us thought that the tragedy could be repeated, the tears would fall again, and the blow would be repeated.

In 2001, I was next to the ruins of the "9.21" earthquake in Taiwan, and I seemed to use a cross to mourn the victims.Unexpectedly, seven years later, he faced the pain of Wenchuan. On April 14, 2010, a strong earthquake hit Yushu, Qinghai, and the lives of thousands of compatriots were fleeting. At this time, there were less than 20 days before the opening of the Shanghai World Expo, and the Chinese were silent in grief.I believe that most people, after the Yushu earthquake, thought of the "5.12" earthquake in Wenchuan less than two years ago, and thought of their feelings during that period of time.

In the spring of 2010, because of the Yushu earthquake, it became colder and more painful, and the feeling of pain was even stronger than it was two years ago.In the past two years, two major earthquakes have left every Chinese with nowhere to hide, no matter where they are.In fact, we are all disaster victims, and we all have to face the blow and pain together. From mid-April to early May 2008, I spent nearly 20 days in Japan twice to conduct interviews and reports. Especially in the last ten days, President Hu Jintao visited Japan. The media called it a "warm spring trip". A lot of commentary and reporting are done in Japan, very busy.

One late night in early May, between one o'clock and two o'clock, I was awakened by a strange "squeak" sound when I was just asleep, and found that my bed was hitting the wall next to it. Emitted when squeezed. I know it's an earthquake.Because the last time I produced "Iwasong Watching Japan", I made a special episode on Japan's earthquake prevention and disaster reduction and experienced the magnitude of the earthquake. Therefore, when I woke up from the dream, with limited experience, I felt that the earthquake would not be too big, and it would be above magnitude 3. , should be less than level five.

The phone rang, and a colleague called: "There's an earthquake, hurry downstairs..." I didn't go downstairs, I just turned on the TV and watched the reaction of the Japanese media.Sure enough, the subtitles flew up on the screen. Different magnitudes of earthquakes in Tokyo and surrounding areas flew across the screen over and over again, which was similar to the magnitude of the earthquake I felt. Because I lived on a high-rise building, the moment of the earthquake was a physical shock. I didn't feel good about my physical and mental health, but for some reason, not only did I not go downstairs, but I fell asleep quickly.A peaceful night.

The colleagues who called me actually ran downstairs, stayed up all night, and walked until dawn. That night, in fact, it was not us who were really nervous, but the people in Japan and China who were responsible for the safety of President Hu Jintao and other Chinese dignitaries.Chairman Hu and his entourage also live in this building, and it is higher than ours. Based on the magnitude of the earthquake and my body feeling, the leaders are likely to be awakened by the earthquake, and the earthquake occurred when the head of state of China visited Japan. Of course It's a big deal. After the earthquake, preparations for the transfer of leaders were quickly launched downstairs, and everything was put in place quickly. But it is estimated that the frequency of earthquakes of a considerable scale in Japan is extremely high, so it can be quickly concluded that there will be no more danger, so the Chinese VIPs did not move their residences that night.

The next morning, we were a little worried. According to the visit itinerary, the day was full, but the earthquake last night would make the leaders very tired? One agenda after another unfolded one after another, and everything was normal, as if nothing had happened. At noon, President Hu visited the Qingshui Ballet. When he was leaving the house, he saw me in the car who was doing a report next to him. He smiled and waved at me. I smiled back. affect anything. After all the reports were completed, I returned to Beijing from Japan at about nine o'clock in the evening on May 11, 2008.A moderate earthquake was not even part of the memory during the trip to Japan. However, what is unexpected is that just one day later, in Sichuan, China, there will be a major earthquake that will make all Chinese people feel heartbroken.

The great earthquake, after thirty-two years, once again created an unforgettable sadness in China. At the moment of the earthquake, I thought it was just a tiny shaking Since the first night had just ended two interviews and reports in Japan that lasted more than 20 days, I planned to take a few days off as planned. On the morning of the 12th, I flew to Yunnan to participate in an exchange activity related to local youths. I also took the opportunity to adjust myself, otherwise I would be physically and mentally exhausted. In our TV station, there has always been a saying: "plans are not as fast as changes, and changes are not as fast as phones." It is used to describe the changes that media people are used to and the new topics that are always sudden. However, this time, it is not the phone that comes suddenly. , but the face of nature.

At 2:28 p.m., I happened to be in the terminal of Kunming Airport. At that moment, I felt an obvious shock, but the intensity was similar to the one I experienced at night in Japan a few days ago, or even weaker. At that time, I didn't feel anything, just said to the people around me: "It's like an earthquake, but it's okay, the magnitude is not big." At the Kunming Airport at that time, many people only had a small suspicion for a moment, and their faces quickly recovered. smile. Unlike the Japanese, the vast majority of Chinese people don't feel much about earthquakes. After they pass, there is no danger, so they just find it interesting.

However, not long afterward, there seemed to be something wrong in the crowd. At first, people who just thought that Yunnan experienced a small earthquake, gradually realized through mobile phones and other means that the real earthquake did not occur in Yunnan. At first, everyone contacted friends in Beijing and knew that the earthquake was felt strongly in Beijing, so they thought that was the epicenter. Thinking about it this way, it's a little scary, then in the north, Kunming will feel the earthquake after the earthquake, what a big earthquake it will be!But through the phone, it seems that there is no big problem in Beijing. So, what went wrong? Soon, the TV at the airport was locked on the CCTV news channel, and really soon, the screen began to play: A big earthquake happened in Sichuan!Circumstances unknown, but communication has been lost... From this moment on, it was difficult to move the eyes away from the screen, and one after another, fragments of news came from the front of the screen: the press conference of the Earthquake Administration, the Prime Minister is going to Sichuan... Combining all the information, I understand: China before the Olympics really had a big event, almost certainly a tragedy, a human tragedy. While watching the live broadcast of the news channel, I also searched Sichuan TV station every once in a while. For a few hours after the earthquake, Sichuan TV station had been broadcasting normally. Although there were news related to the earthquake, there were not many. There are also TV dramas, such pictures even make me hopeful: the worries of everyone are just worries, and the actual situation is not that serious? At the same time, I was also sending messages and calling my colleagues. One of the meanings was: We don’t have the detailed information of the disaster yet, and it will change at any time. We should pay attention to the confirmed facts and remind the anchors in the studio , don't draw conclusions lightly, especially on the number of casualties, this must be a dynamically changing data. Early the next morning, when the originally scheduled exchange activities with local youths began, I suggested that the young people at the scene stand up and observe a minute of silence for the victims of the Sichuan earthquake.I don't know if this minute's silence was the first after the Wenchuan earthquake, but I clearly remember expressing my worries and hopes to the teenagers present: I hope the casualties will not exceed a thousand! In fact, at that time, I myself could not believe my expectations. After the exchange, all other follow-up activities were cancelled, and I was ready to return to Beijing that day, and started the earthquake report that lasted more than a month that I hadn't thought of at the time. After the live broadcast started, what I have been thinking about is: earthquake relief, what can the media do, and what should they do? In the middle of the night on the 13th, I entered the live broadcast studio. What I faced was still incomplete information, and saving lives was the most important mission. At this time, most of the reporters arrived in Sichuan, but in some hard-hit areas, not to mention reporters, even the troops could not reach them. Therefore, any information from the front is precious, and it is also what the audience in front of the TV eagerly wants to know.At that moment, as the host of the live broadcast, I had already clearly felt how many viewers there were in front of the TV. Even late at night, my attention would not decrease. In the early morning of the 14th, when I finished a segment of the live broadcast and turned on my mobile phone, a number quickly displayed proved the pain and concern of the audience. I received hundreds of text messages on my mobile phone. The sadness and anxiety that comes is easily felt.On the second day, after the live broadcast ended in the early morning of the 15th, the volume of text messages reached a peak. This situation has never happened in my more than ten years of live broadcast experience.I know that on the other side of the phone, there are one follower after another. What they send is not text messages, but anxiety and helplessness and pain when they think of on-site rescue but cannot. Before the live broadcast on the evening of the 14th, I seriously thought about what the media should and could do at this time. My answer is: In the emotional expression of grief and cheer, it is necessary to promote and help the entire disaster relief to move in a more correct direction more efficiently. In grief, if we can also give some space to rationality, our loss may be less. On the evening of the 14th, in the first half of the live broadcast, the guest in the studio was Wang Zhenyao, Director of the Disaster Relief Department of the Ministry of Civil Affairs. During the interview with him, I also expressed three meanings.First, this disaster relief will not be a short-term challenge, but will probably be a long-term challenge, so we must be prepared; second, it cannot be accomplished by the government, and we must allow civil organizations and NGOs to develop their capabilities; third, , We must pay attention to the rescue of the disabled, the elderly and orphans caused by the earthquake, and at the same time, psychological assistance must be launched as soon as possible. These ideas were quickly agreed and supported by Director Wang who was present. When he was about to leave the studio, he said something like this: A lot of our information even comes from your live broadcast. It has a great impact on our decision-making. And judgment is very important, thank you... Faced with such a sudden catastrophe, this time, from the very beginning, we never thought of hiding, hiding, or concealing the truth, but quickly and transparently let the media participate in it, and not only the Chinese media, but also media from all over the world, This is an improvement. In the midst of great tragedy and suffering, China has taken a big step forward firmly. Saving lives requires common sense; disaster relief requires "life and death" In many places in the disaster area, roads and communications were cut off at first, forming isolated islands, and even the army could not enter quickly. Self-help became the choice of many isolated islands. This earthquake was named the Wenchuan earthquake, but Wenchuan was one of the original isolated islands, and the outside world could not be contacted. Therefore, in people's minds, the situation must be critical there, so the urgency of attention, attention, and opening of the road is higher; In fact, Beichuan was the area that suffered the most losses in all counties and even the entire earthquake.Since people were unable to make correct judgments in time, the people in Beichuan had to rely heavily on self-help to cope with the initial tragedy. In the live broadcast in the first few days, through the information on the scene, we realized a problem. There are a lot of self-help behaviors, many of which are just instinctive rather than professional; There is a general lack of adequate knowledge about rescue and rescue. However, if common sense is lacking, sometimes the rescued person will be disabled or life-threatening.Therefore, in the first two days of the live broadcast, I asked medical experts who did not know where to help. Whoever has common sense of first aid, the shorter the better, the easier it is to operate, the better, and the more useful it is in the disaster area, the better. When I made such an appeal in the live broadcast for the first time, in just ten minutes, I took the opportunity to watch a video on my mobile phone, and I had received only ten sentences from Ling Feng, a famous Chinese neurosurgery expert. A very important jingle, which contains common sense of first aid.I quickly handed over the text message to my colleague, and a few minutes later, we played this jingle many times with subtitles.Early the next morning, the "Liberation Army Daily" also quickly published this first aid common sense jingle, common sense entered the disaster area in many ways.Maybe it can't be known to too many people in the disaster area who need it immediately, but it is an important reminder to spread it to ten or ten to hundreds. In the next few days, we fully emphasized the importance of common sense around the aspects of first aid, epidemic prevention and post-disaster psychological support.Wang Lixiang, Director of the Emergency Center of the Armed Police General Hospital, and Tao Ran, a psychologist from the Beijing Hospital, entered our studio many times to provide common knowledge that people need in different rescue situations in a short but easy-to-understand way. During the live broadcast for a few days, we have realized the pain of the audience in front of the screen, and the resulting anxiety and psychological problems. Many viewers stare at the live broadcast of the earthquake every day. Those plots and pictures often make them burst into tears, and even if they don’t look at the screen, they will feel guilty.Considering this situation, I have been doing TV for so many years, and for the first time in a live broadcast, I emphasized: Please don’t watch TV for a long time, and take a break after watching it for a while, otherwise no one can handle it.Only by taking good care of our bodies can we do more for the disaster area. At this time, Chinese people have fully devoted themselves to the process of disaster relief, but in different ways. Some went to the disaster area to do their best with their hands and bodies, and more outside the disaster area, they prayed for them with their hearts and tears. It may be such a national characteristic of sharing weal and woe that made the song "Life and Death Inseparable" so fast. hit the hearts of every Chinese. On the morning of the 14th, I woke up and turned on my phone. Among the many text messages, there was a poem from Wang Pingjiu called "Life and Death Are Inseparable". Wang Pingjiu is a key member of the large-scale activities department of the Olympic Organizing Committee. Since I participated in hosting almost all large-scale ceremonies of the Beijing Olympic Games, such as slogan release, mascot announcement, and torch starting, etc., I was in charge of this with the Olympic Organizing Committee Wang Pingjiu has dealt with him for many years. This time, Wang Pingjiu, who has always been working desperately, saw the live broadcast I hosted the night before, and quickly composed this poem "Life and Death Are Inseparable" to release his inner pain. When I saw this poem in the morning, when I read it to my wife, tears were streaming down my face. My tears told me: This is a good thing.During the live broadcast at night, this poem had already been printed on a cardboard. When I picked it up and wanted to read it, I couldn't control the urge to cry.Although I told myself a long time ago that in the face of sadness, a news anchor must hold back tears, but it is really difficult.I had no choice but to say this sentence first to the audience: I hope I can read it without crying. This sentence hinted and helped me, I did it, read it all without tears, and called for composition. However, many viewers in front of the TV could not control their tears. Overnight, "Life and Death" spread like wildfire. After the live broadcast that night, I received a lot of text messages and calls. Some recite on important occasions, and some make public welfare short films. That night, the melody had been composed, and Jackie Chan and Tan Jing overcame various difficulties and entered the recording studio unconditionally. Twenty-four hours later, in our live broadcast, the song "Life and Death Are Inseparable" has been broadcast. In the following months, it became the main theme that accompanied the Chinese people through that difficult time. For this melody alone, there are three versions by Jackie Chan, Tan Jing, and Sun Nan, and for the other composers, there are versions by Shi Peng and others. During the entire earthquake relief period, "Life and Death Are Inseparable" became the most important and most widely sung song. I believe that after a long time, as long as the melody of this song sounds softly, people will quickly bring their thoughts and memories back to that special period. In the days of black and white pictures. This is the power of a song.Unfortunately, less than two years later, this song sounded again for Yushu. Therefore, I should thank Pingjiu for allowing us to be accompanied by sincere singing in our sad moments, and we have gone through the most difficult days together. On the 16th, when we were still live broadcasting, we received an assignment that CCTV would broadcast a large-scale disaster relief show "Dedication of Love" live on the evening of the 18th. Obviously, this is a quick plan. Even on the 17th, there are still too many unknowns about how many people will come, how long it will be broadcast, and the order of the programs. In my impression, such a thing happened once before, that is, in 1998, when there was a big flood in both the north and the south of China. On the night when it was decided whether to divert the flood in Jingzhou, CCTV broadcasted a large-scale disaster relief party live. At this time, no one talks about the difficulty and difficulty. In fact, everyone knows that at this time, it is not necessary to have an artistically impeccable and professionally perfect party, but only a stage where the true feelings are revealed, and it takes a few hours to convey a concept: In the face of disaster, we Together, life and death are inseparable. At this time, as the host, it is natural to face a challenge: to interview guests from the disaster area. Some of them are bearing the pain of losing their loved ones, and some are still in shock. It seems that we should not disturb them at this time, but as a party that wants more Chinese people to join the disaster relief team in various ways, we also Had to. During the rehearsal in the afternoon, I knew that I was going to interview the beautiful policewoman Jiang Min. In the earthquake, she lost her daughter and mother, but she still sticks to the front line of work.I met her in the afternoon and chatted briefly but attentively for a while without touching her scars, but I felt that her physical condition was not very good. So, in order to protect her, the director and I suggested that Jiang Min should not rehearse this part, so as not to make her sad twice, let's pass it once at night! This is of course a risky decision, but the director and leaders readily agreed. I came back and told Jiang Min, go back and rest. You are a monkey, and I am a monkey. I am older than you. Let me be your big brother. In the evening, my big brother will go on stage with you. In the live broadcast at night, the atmosphere was unspeakable. In the backstage and the audience, there were tears and sobs. As the host, we walked through the tears and had to control our inner emotions.Sometimes, only you know how hard it is. When it came to Jiang Min's section, I went on stage with her. However, when she stood on the stage, I felt her sadness and fragility. She was as light as a leaf and could be blown away by the wind at any time.I had to hug her shoulders tightly and grab one of her hands to give her a support. After asking two questions, I decided to give up the last two questions. At this time, it was not only her who was suffering and unable to support, but also me. "Stop talking, let's stop talking." Jiang Min's simple narration and her pain instantly touched too many people. Amid tears of applause, I quickly ended the interview, almost hugging her, and She sent backstage. And once I got backstage, I handed her over to my colleagues, and I couldn't control myself anymore, ran to the corner, squatted on the ground and began to cry bitterly.Just when I was about to completely release my emotions, Zhu Tong, the director of the Art Center at the time, walked over quickly. Of course he saw my tears, but he didn't comfort me. He just said a simple sentence: Xiao Bailin's father has been found, you Check it out now and get ready to go on stage... After he finished speaking, he turned and left. Remember the "salute doll" in the Wenchuan earthquake? After he was rescued, the picture of him lying on a stretcher and not forgetting to salute his uncle in the People's Liberation Army became a touching bright color in the black memory. On the stage of the "Dedication of Love" disaster relief party, the uncle of the People's Liberation Army who rescued him came, and his parents also came with him. It turned out that the father who saluted Baby Frog was a policeman, which taught him to salute since he was a child. One word stopped my tears, and for that I am forever grateful to him.I am afraid that at the time, this was the most effective consolation. It turned out that Xiao Bailin, a female student who was interviewed on stage just now, told the audience that she was separated from her father, and his father's life and death are still unknown. In the disaster area, at a temporary resettlement site of a police station, policemen and Xiao Bailin's father were watching television.Seeing Xiao Bailin looking for her father, the comrades at the police station immediately called and told Xiao Bailin that her father was safe and rest assured. This is good news, not only for Xiao Bailin, but also for all the audience in front of the TV. It is a great comfort and a kind of confidence. In the midst of my great grief, I must immediately settle down and take the good news with Xiao Bailin to the stage. On the stage, the excited Bai Lin burst into tears, but she was very clear-headed. She was also shaking, but it was just excitement. When I couldn't free my shoulders, I could only lightly bump her head with my head and tell her: We are together. At the end of this passage, the weeping Xiao Bailin said to her father who was far away in the disaster area: Be a volunteer, help more people, and be grateful... This is live broadcasting. A script with its own essence without writing in life is always better than a carefully written script behind closed doors.A disaster relief party prepared in two or three days has achieved the greatest effect, which is not only reflected by the record-breaking 1.5 billion donations.More importantly, in the future, let more people regard Sichuan as their hometown, regard distant places as their close neighbors, and love like a tide on a larger scale. And the fast broadcast of this evening show also has another value-if you don't do it, it will be too late. From the second day onwards, there will be three consecutive days of national mourning. For the first time, the national flag of the Republic is lowered for the lives of ordinary citizens. Apart from the sounds of crying and mourning, there is only our common heartbeat. The party is no longer on such days. More appropriate. Two years later, we held a similar disaster relief party for Yushu, and the donation amount exceeded 2 billion. Behind this astonishing figure, there is also the foundation laid by the disaster relief party two years ago.Not long afterward, because of the disaster in Zhouqu, Gansu, the national flag was lowered for the third time for the deceased citizens, and people were capitalized! The pressure of the earthquake live broadcast is of course great, because the audience chooses to refuse tolerance because of pain... At the beginning of the daily live broadcast, I was under tremendous psychological pain, and the pressure mainly came from this pain and unknown. However, as the live broadcast continued and the expectations of the audience increased, the pressure increased and became more complicated. The pressure at this time is not only the physical requirements day after day, and the unknown and unexpected live broadcast requirements at any time, but also the mental pressure. In the ten days after the earthquake, people's pain turned into a strong focus on the live TV broadcast. This kind of attention contains an emotion of intolerance caused by pain. It stands to reason that if you often walk by the river, how can you not get your shoes wet, not to mention the unprecedented live broadcast of a major earthquake that is full of variables, and there are many young reporters who lack live broadcast experience. However, slips of the tongue or words that are easily misunderstood often make journalists the target of attacks, or even violent attacks, within a certain period of time. For example, not long after the live broadcast started, a young female reporter quickly became the target of attacks and human flesh searches. One of the reasons was that she went back to the hotel to do online reports, which people could not tolerate. But in fact, in the disaster area at that time, the communication was extremely unstable, especially the mobile phone connection was very unreliable. Generally, reporters were asked to find a landline phone to connect to the live broadcast. However, the audience didn't care about this, and the reporter was inexperienced, so they didn't explain the reason. So after the live broadcast, she was "accused by thousands of people". Step away and focus on the work off-camera.Think about it, she is just a little girl in her twenties. I remember that Zhang Yu and I explained the reason for her who I didn't know, and it caused a lot of scolding. There are many things like this, and the psychological pressure on the reporters and hosts involved in the report is even heavier. Any small negligence or slip of the tongue may be immediately characterized as unsympathetic or not loving. In the face of this pressure, you can't complain about the audience. Perhaps the audience expressed their deep concern for the disaster area through this way of amplifying their sensitivity and expanding their harshness.Although this harshness is a bit excessive, it must be understood and faced. When the three-day national mourning day came, the pressure reached its peak. Everyone tensed up, for fear of saying the wrong thing or expressing the wrong emotion. However, at that time, I comforted my nervous colleagues: "Don't worry, believe in your inner feelings, they really exist. You have true feelings in your heart, and the expression on your face and language must be correct..." This is what I said to others, and I also do the same. If you are not afraid of making mistakes, you will make no mistakes and make fewer mistakes. The more you are afraid of making mistakes, the more mistakes you will make. This is already a golden rule in live broadcasting. The same is true for live broadcasts of major earthquakes. At the later stage of the live broadcast, the atmosphere was still depressing. However, the Sichuan people in sadness have taken the lead in showing their unique sense of optimism and tragedy. one side. After the "9.11" in the United States, not many days later, in the midst of grief, Giuliani, the mayor of New York, said this sentence: When the first person around us appeared to tell a joke again, at that moment, the city Will slowly stand up again. In the disaster-stricken area of Sichuan, such touching "jokes" actually began to circulate in the form of mobile phone text messages within a few days, and one of them is very classic.Because many foreign rescue teams participated in the rescue at that time, after being rescued by the Russian rescue team, an old lady looked at the blond foreigner and said: Guizi, the earthquake was so fierce that it shocked me abroad! After hearing this story that has yet to be verified but truly reflects the character of Sichuan people, I decided to tell it on the live broadcast. Two days after the mourning day, I really did this, including the three words "turtle son", and said it in the live broadcast. This plot is told to pay tribute to the heroic Sichuan people. They not only have sadness in the face of disasters, but also endure, take responsibility and a kind of surprising optimism. People seemed to understand the joke and the meaning and respect I told it. Almost no one scolded me. Instead, the next day, many networks amplified and reproduced this joke passage.Obviously, everyone coincidentally, also began to choose to show the richness of the character of the disaster area more diversely, and did not just choose sadness because of sensitivity or pressure. Life and vitality are slowly recovering. As a reporter, of course, I hope to be able to quickly arrive at the disaster area to participate in the report. It is not that it is not important to live broadcast in the studio. On the contrary, the host in the studio is very important. The inner understanding and comfort of the people in the disaster area and the audience need to be carefully implemented. However, in Beijing, amidst the daily busyness, pressure and emotional torment, there always seems to be an inexplicable sense of guilt. things may move slightly. After repeated applications, after three days of mourning and two days of live broadcasting, our "News 1+1" team's plan to live broadcast the "Disaster Area Watch" series was finally approved. I live-streamed in Beijing until midnight the first night, and flew directly to Mianyang, Sichuan with my colleagues the next morning. After arriving, my first task was to take a helicopter to the construction site of Tangjiashan Barrier Lake diversion channel. On the first day I went, a helicopter crash occurred during the rescue, and the pilot and crew were all missing. Therefore, on the day I arrived, Taili issued an order that no more helicopter rides were allowed. However, I can only violate the rules. The reason is very simple. All the construction officers and soldiers on the top of the mountain will be evacuated that night, and blasting may be carried out later to eliminate the hidden danger of the barrier lake. The helicopter I will take is to pick up the commander-in-chief and construction officers and soldiers on the top of the mountain. A news moment that may never come again. So violations are inevitable. Arriving at the airport, before boarding the helicopter, it is impossible to say that I am not nervous, but when the helicopter takes off, the tension disappears instantly, not because I am strong, but because I saw the disaster area from the sky The tragic scene immediately evokes all your professional sensitivity as a journalist. Our reporting and filming have already started on the fly. There are broken houses and broken mountains and rivers everywhere. During the flight, there is a detailed picture that highlights the ruthlessness of the disaster due to the dramatic composition. On the winding mountain road winding up the cliff, a huge truck stopped on the way. The road was cut off by a landslide in front, and the road was also cut off by a landslide in the rear. Between two piles of fallen boulders and sand, there were only two or three Ten meters down the road, the well-preserved truck was parked there.Looking at this scene, I immediately thought, at the moment when the earthquake happened, all the vehicles in front and behind were swallowed up, and this car was lucky to stop, but there was a cliff up and a deep valley down, and there was no way to look forward and back. How should the driver rejoice first and then despair? And how did he escape after that? Before I could come up with an answer, the helicopter arrived at the destination. In that small space, I only had forty minutes.I quickly measured the diversion channel with my height, tasted the smell of the officers and soldiers who have not showered for many days and have been working hard with my nose, and asked questions to find the dangers and challenges of the barrier lake, and then reported to the audience this possible disappearance with words. on site. From then on, we began our journey to the disaster-stricken areas. Compared with the usual reports, in the disaster area, the heart is tense every day, and at the same time, the mental pressure and physical exertion are different from the past.We have two meals almost every day, one is breakfast before departure, and the other is after all interviews for the day, usually between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm.First, finishing the interview early can save more preparation time for the live broadcast that night, and second, you can hardly bear to eat with the interviewees in the disaster-stricken area. And if you go out to find lunch, depending on the traffic conditions at the time, you may not be able to find it, not to mention time-consuming.I remember that when interviewing the temporary county party committee station in Beichuan, the secretary of the county party committee invited us to have instant noodles for lunch. This was considered a big meal at the time, and of course we refused. But these are nothing, the key is that the emotional and inner shocks and ups and downs in the daily interviews are too great, and this is the real pain. During an interview at the Mianyang Gymnasium, I saw an elderly couple in their fifties and sixties living in a temporary tent with their grandson less than one year old in their arms. After chatting with them, I found out that on the day of the earthquake, the three of them, including their son and daughter-in-law, went to the hospital to see a doctor for their grandson who suffered from congenital heart disease. After seeing the doctor, the son and daughter-in-law asked the old couple to wait in the yard with their grandson in their arms, and the younger couple went to pay the bill in the building. At this moment, an earthquake happened, and the son and daughter-in-law were buried by the collapsed building and never came out again. Grandparents and grandchildren in the yard survived.A simple wait turned into a white-haired person sending a black-haired person; what is even more difficult is that the old couple has to take on the role of parents again. Grandpa said: After a while, they will be stable, and they have to go out to work to earn money, otherwise , a family of three, what to eat? What I am looking at is a "person tracing wall", which is located next to the gate of the Kyushu Gymnasium in Mianyang where the victims are housed. The earthquake tore many families apart. With broken hopes, people posted missing person notices one after another, willing to believe that their loved ones were still alive and only temporarily separated. However, how many people can do so?Everyone will be moved when they see this "person-hunting wall" one after another. When interviewing the firefighters who participated in the rescue, a young firefighter told me that he rescued the upper body of a little girl on the first day and the lower body on the second day. A confession from him, and this seemingly meaningless rescue also made him take the same risk. There are many such stories in rescue. Beichuan has long been closed, so there have been no cameras and reporters entering the old Beichuan county after the closure. After fighting for it, on that day, because the Secretary of the Beichuan County Party Committee was going to accompany the Deputy Minister of Construction into the old county to prepare for the future Earthquake Museum, we were able to enter Beichuan to follow the filming. However, this is definitely a trip that you will never want to look back on.
