Chapter 19 The fifth plan is to take advantage of the fire

The enemy's harm is great, and he takes advantage of the situation, and he is firm and soft. When the enemy is in a serious crisis, he must take the opportunity to send troops to win the victory. This is a strategy performed from the hexagrams. If the enemy has internal advantages, he will seize his territory; if the enemy has foreign troubles, he will plunder his people; if the enemy has both internal and external troubles, he will annex his country. When the crabs and rice were all dead, he planned to attack the state of Wu, and finally took advantage of Fu Chai, the king of Wu, to go north to Huangchi to form an alliance with the princes of other countries. When his country was empty, he attacked the state of Wu and won a complete victory.

The core content of this plan: from the crisis and predicament of others.profit from disaster; attack an enemy in chaos. The earliest source of the words of this plan is in the Zhanghui novel written by Wu Chengen in the Ming Dynasty, so it leads to the first story of this plan. It is said that Tang Monk Tang Xuanzang left the Tang Dynasty and went to the west to get the "Mahayana Sutra". One night, Quan and his great disciple Sun Wukong came to a temple to stay. After entering, the old abbot of the temple ordered people to serve tea. During the chat, he learned that Tang Seng had a treasure of the Tang Dynasty—the cassock. The abbot wanted to open his eyes, so he asked Tang Seng to take it out. However, I couldn't stand the abbot's begging, so I took out the cassock I brought and showed it off to the monks. When I unpacked the burden, I saw the room full of red light, full of color and auspiciousness, which is really rare My precious cassock!

When the abbot saw it, he suddenly thought badly. He immediately knelt down on the ground, with tears in his eyes, and begged Tang Seng bitterly, "I am old and weak, and my eyes are dim. I really can't appreciate the treasures. Can I take it to my room to have a closer look?" Tang Seng's heart softened for a moment, so he agreed to the old abbot's request. After the old abbot took the cassock to the back room, the more he looked at it, the more he loved it, and the more he looked at it, the more he wanted to take it for himself, so he discussed with his monks how to get the cassock.A monk named Guangmou said: "Why don't you set a fire and burn down the meditation hall, so that the master and the disciples will be burned to death. I don’t dare to do anything about it. It’s nothing more than giving them some money.”

The abbot thought this plan was very clever, so he called all the monks and surrounded the meditation hall airtight with firewood. Wukong was not asleep at this time, when he heard the sound outside the door, he turned into a little bee and flew out of the meditation hall. Seeing that the four circles of fire were suddenly harvested, the monk who set the fire was still laughing triumphantly while holding a torch. In a rage, Wukong turned over to the Nantian Gate and borrowed a "fire shelter" from King Guangmu.Go back and cover Tang Seng's white horse, then recite the mantra again, and blow it over in one breath. In an instant, there is a strong wind, and the fire spreads to the surroundings. Zen Hall was spared.

In front of the conflagration, the monks ran around with their heads in their arms, crying and howling, and now they were the ones who got burned and reaped the consequences. Unexpectedly, the praying mantis was catching the cicada, and the oriole was behind. The fire alarmed all the beasts and ghosts on the surrounding mountains. There is a mountain 20 miles south of Guanyin Temple, called Heifeng Mountain, and there is a hole in the mountain, called Heifeng Cave. There is a monster in the cave, called Heifeng Monster, who has a long history of friendship with the abbot. When he saw the fire in the courtyard, he hurried to rescue him. When he went to the temple, he saw the splendid cassock in the abbot's room, and recognized it as a Buddhist Zhibao suddenly became greedy, so he stopped fighting the fire, picked up the cassock, took advantage of the fire to rob, and drove a black cloud, and went straight back to its cave.

The word "take advantage of the fire" is here. There is such a story in the Bible. One day, Jacob was cooking red bean soup at home, and Esau came back from hunting. After a day of traveling in the mountains, he was tired and hungry, so he said to Jacob, "My stomach is rumbling with hunger." Call, give me some red bean soup." Jacob nodded and said calmly, "That's easy to say, but I want to give me your birthright." Esau replied, "Look, I'm starving to death. Why do I need the birthright? Well, I'll give you the birthright." Jacob stood up suddenly and said urgently, "This is not a joke, you have to swear before God."

Esau said disapprovingly, "Okay, I swear." After Esau finished his oath, Jacob gave him some bread and red bean soup. Esau devoured it, patted his butt, stood up and left. . Unexpectedly, it was this joke that made Jacob replace Esau when he inherited his father's throne, which caused Esau to suffer a series of inhuman ordeals. There is such a sentence in the "Bible": "Esau so despised the rights of the firstborn." From what we see today, when Jacob returned from hunting and was exhausted, he used a portion of red bean soup to induce him to give up the birthright. This is also an act of robbery, but this kind of robbery is not so blatant That's all.

There are two ways to take advantage of the fire to rob, one is to see the fire and take the opportunity to rob, and the other is to set the fire first. To rob when people are frightened to fight the fire, whether it is taking advantage of the fire or arson, the ultimate goal is to rob. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, the rebel army led by Li Zicheng captured Kyoto. Emperor Chongzhen ran to Meishan and hanged himself on an old locust tree. Li Zicheng proclaimed himself emperor. Looting the treasures of rich and noble families, searching and arresting the emperor's relatives and other party members, made people panic and restless. After Li Zicheng proclaimed himself emperor, he snatched Wu Sangui's concubine Chen Yuanyuan from the Ming Dynasty, and then imprisoned Wu Sangui's old father Wu Xiang in order to coerce Wu Sangui to surrender.

Wu Sangui was a famous general of the Ming Dynasty. He commanded hundreds of thousands of horses to guard the border and resist the invasion of the Manchus. Returning to surrender, at the time of replying to the official letter of surrender, the fleeing family children came from the capital. Wu Sangui asked: "How is the situation at home?" The family boy said sadly: "The old master has been sent to prison." Wu Sangui said disapprovingly: "It doesn't matter, the old man will be released from prison immediately after I receive this letter." Wu Sangui asked lightly again: "Where is Madam, where is she now?"

The house boy stopped crying immediately, murmured and couldn't speak. When Sangui saw this, he felt restless, and shouted sharply: "What is going on with her, you can tell the truth, I don't blame you, if there is even half a lie, I will definitely not forgive you." The family boy said tearfully: "It's not that you are useless and failed to protect the wife. The wife was snatched by the rebels half a month ago, and the current situation is being held in Li Zicheng's palace." "I'm pissed off too!" Wu Sangui burst into anger, jumped up, and drew out his sword with a "whoosh". "Choke Lang" split off a corner of the memory case.

"The hatred of taking his wife and the hatred of his father, if he does not avenge this hatred, he will live in vain. If he does not kill Li Zicheng, he will not be a human being!" Wu Sangui tore up the letter of surrender that had already been written, and then re-rolled the paper. In his letter to Wu Xiang, he wrote: "A father cannot be a loyal minister, but can Er'an be a filial son?..." At this time, Wu Sangui had already put the great cause of the country behind him, and all he was thinking about was how to avenge his family's private revenge. While training his men and horses and preparing to go back to the army to attack, he secretly deployed and planned. It was rumored that Chuang Wang had more than 400,000 strong soldiers, fierce generals like clouds, and counselors like rain. He had only more than 100,000 troops. Opponent, what should we do? Wu Sangui, who was tormented by the flames of hatred and lost his mind, turned his rescue eyes to his former enemy, the Manchu Qing army who he had been fighting with for a long time. At that time, Emperor Shunzhi of the Manchu Qing Dynasty came to the throne. Because he was only 7 years old, the Regent Dorgon was in charge of all major military affairs. Dorgon saw that the Central Plains was constantly fighting, and the Ming Dynasty and the Taiping Army were fighting each other. It's just that Wu Sangui's 100,000 elite soldiers guarded the border, so he never dared to act rashly. On this day, Dorgon heard that Wu Sangui was visiting, and he also had a general idea of what happened in the Central Plains, and guessed Wu Sangui's intentions, and he was overjoyed.Immediately send an order to be summoned as a guest. Seeing that Wu Sangui's brows were tightly frowned, Dorgon asked knowingly, "General Wu is here, what advice do you have?" After a painful ideological struggle, Wu Sangui finally made up his mind: rather than being infamous forever, he must first relieve the hatred in his heart, so he said bluntly: "The Ming and Qing Dynasties, the World Communication was repaired, and the Qing Dynasty was self-sufficient. Invasion of each other, I also sent troops to help each other in the Ming Dynasty. Today, the Ming Dynasty is unfortunate, thieves are rampant, and the capital must not fall. , Why is it that the generals are so few that it is difficult to be a mob, if the Qing Dynasty still cares about the friendship of its neighbors, it should also send troops from the whole country to help me." Dorgon wanted to invade the Central Plains for a long time, but he suffered from the elite soldiers at the border. Now, not only have the passes in front of him been eliminated, but he has become a righteous teacher. : "In your domestic turmoil, it is said that you should do your neighbor's rescue, but our country's small soldiers are weak, and the dinosaur rescue cannot help. It will not help the matter. In the future, you will suffer from it and you will be notorious through the ages. This matter is beyond our capabilities. It is really difficult. If so, I ask for your understanding, General. Wu Sangui begged bitterly: "Although there are many thieves, they are all mobs. As long as your country is willing to send troops to help, they will all succeed." But Duo ErGun is not easy to let go. Talk like this.In the blink of an eye, it was already half a month. Although Dorgon had never said that he would send troops, he had already started to prepare for the battle in secret. After everything was ready, Dorgon said hypocritically: "Since the general has repeatedly begged, this commander has also been moved by the general's loyalty. No matter how difficult our country is, we will take the difficulties of our neighbors as our own and decide to send troops." Help." Wu Sangui was overjoyed when he heard the words, and immediately came back to pack up the soldiers and horses, joined forces with Dorgon's Qing army, and marched across the Shanhaiguan Pass to the Central Plains. Traveling to a place full of rocks, the Qing army and the Chuang army met. The two sides fought fiercely. As a result of the battle, the Chuang army was defeated. After the Qing soldiers took over the capital, they completely put aside their original promise of assistance, and became emperor generously. After the Chuangjun led by Li Zicheng was pacified, the Qing army swung their spears at the officers and soldiers of the Ming Dynasty and slaughtered Yangzhou for seven days, killing all the old and young in the city. The survivors were either bought or killed, and the people of the Central Plains suffered terribly, so many sacrifices, and heavy casualties, which are rare in history. At this point, Wu Sangui saw that the great crime was committed, and it was too late to regret, so he had no choice but to become a pawn of the Qing army. , let him settle down and be his local snake. In Dorgon's letter to Shi Kefa, he said: "The country's peace and control of Yanjing is obtained from trespassers, not from the Ming Dynasty." In the history of our country, this is the most typical case of taking advantage of the fire.
