Chapter 72 Do not use troops evenly in battle

(August 22, 1946) Liu Deng[1], and told the heads of state: (1) Liu and Deng Maxu [2] reported by telegram.Celebrate your great victory in annihilating two enemy divisions[3]. (2) Hope to concentrate the main force of at least 18 regiments to rest and reorganize in the north of the road to replenish recruits so as to facilitate another battle. (3) At the beginning of the battle, you must prepare to fight seven or eight major battles within three to four months, and all supplementary rest should be aimed at this. (4) Don't fight any battles you are not sure of, because you will surely win if you fight; in every battle with a recalcitrant regular army, you must use superior forces against the enemy in each battle. The ratio is preferably four to one (four thousand against one thousand, four 10,000 people against 10,000 people), at least three to one, wipe out one part, then another, and then the third, defeating each one.I hope to use this to educate cadres and overcome the concept of underestimating the enemy (this concept exists among many cadres) in campaigns and battles.
