The patriotic movement to increase production that is developing on the industrial and agricultural fronts is a new atmosphere in our country that deserves celebration.After realizing land reform in the countryside and democratic reform in factories and enterprises, workers and peasants have great enthusiasm for developing their patriotism and increasing production, and have the possibility of improving their material and cultural life.As long as we are good at uniting, educating and relying on the workers and peasants, there will definitely be a generally high patriotic movement to increase production in our country.

On the cultural and educational front and various intellectuals in our country, a campaign of self-education and self-reform has been widely carried out in accordance with the policy of the Central People's Government. All facts prove that our system of people's democratic dictatorship is extremely superior to the political systems of capitalist countries.On the basis of this system, the people of our country can exert their inexhaustible strength.This kind of power is invincible to any enemy. The great struggle to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea is still going on, and must go on until the U.S. government is willing to resolve it peacefully.We don't want to invade any country, we just oppose the imperialists' aggression against our country.Everyone understands that the Chinese people would not have fought against the U.S. military if the U.S. military had not occupied our country's Taiwan, invaded the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and hit our northeastern frontier.But now that the American aggressors have attacked us, we have to raise the banner of anti-aggression. This is absolutely necessary and just, and the people of the whole country have understood this necessity and justice.In order to continue this necessary and just struggle, we need to continue to strengthen the work of resisting U.S. aggression and aiding Korea. We need to increase production and practice strict economy to support the Chinese People's Volunteers.This is the central task of the Chinese people today, and therefore also the central task of our meeting.

We stated very early on that the North Korean issue should be resolved by peaceful means.It still is.As long as the U.S. government is willing to resolve the issue on a fair and reasonable basis, instead of using all kinds of shameful methods to sabotage and obstruct the progress of the negotiations, the Korean armistice negotiations may succeed; otherwise, they cannot succeed. In the two years since the founding of the People's Republic of China, we have achieved great victories in all fields of work.We have won these victories by relying on all possible united forces.Domestically, we rely on the solid unity of all nationalities, democratic classes, democratic parties, people's organizations and all patriotic democrats under the leadership of the working class and the Communist Party.Internationally, we have relied on the solid unity of the peaceful and democratic camp headed by the Soviet Union and the deep sympathy of the peace-loving people of all countries in the world.Thanks to this, we have won great victories in all fields of work, which our enemies did not expect.Our enemies believe that the newborn People's Republic of China faces many difficulties, and they use aggressive wars against us. It is impossible for us to overcome our own difficulties, and it is impossible for us to fight back against the aggressors.Unexpectedly by the enemy, we were able to overcome our own difficulties, counterattack the aggressors and win great victories.Our enemies are short-sighted. They cannot see the strength of our great domestic and international unity. They cannot see that the era of foreign imperialism bullying the Chinese people has ended forever with the founding of the People's Republic of China.Nor can they see that the era of imperialist domination of the world has already been established by the socialist Soviet Union, by the founding of the People's Republic of China, by the founding of the people's democracies, and by the treaty of friendship, mutual assistance and alliance between the two great countries, China and the Soviet Union.
