Although the current laws are all set by the Kuomintang, they do not abide by them.For them, the law is just a tool of rule, not to restrain themselves.For the law to be obeyed, there needs to be a strong force behind it.Why do people outside the party need to abide by the laws of the Kuomintang, while the Kuomintang can not?The reason is simple, because only the "state" can have power - the police, secret agents, the army - are all controlled by the KMT.What we have to work hard now is to take back the power of the police, secret agents and the army from the hands of the Kuomintang and return it to the people.When these powers are in the hands of the people, can the Kuomintang not abide by the law?

——Hsieh Chang-ting read my talk and refuted me in the "Democratic Politics" weekly. He said that he tried his best to help Chen Shui-bian, but I called it a deliberate attack.He also said that I was alienating my friend's feelings.He wishes he could live in a society free from suspicion. The sentence pattern I used to speak was "a good faith suspicion is...a malicious suspicion is...", I wonder why Xie Changting cares so much about the second half of the sentence, but ignores the meaning of the first half.In the first half, I said: "The good-natured suspicion is that he (Chang Ting Hsieh) doesn't fully understand the possible political benefits of expanding the Penglai Island case outside the party, and he doesn't want his friends to go to jail..."

Regarding this matter, my understanding of Xie Changting is as follows (many of his close friends also have the same feeling): he is sincerely helping Chen Shui-bian, because Chen Shui-bian impulsively said that he would not appeal, and he wants to make amends. When the interests of friends conflict with the interests of the people, they should choose the interests of the people without hesitation and abandon the interests of friends.Without such sensitivity, political prospects will be very limited.

——Chen Wenqian is the most observant person outside the party. She read my conversation and said, I am strict with Xie Changting, Shi Xingzhong and others, but I am lenient with Chen Shuibian.This is against the impartial position of the political commentator. I am indeed more polite to Chen Shui-bian.When I criticized Chen Shui-bian for making mistakes, I thought that each of us grew up with constant mistakes, and I naturally felt sympathetic.Chen Wenqian is right. We can understand that Chen Shui-bian, like ordinary people, also makes mistakes, but why hasn't he admitted his mistakes until now?Why are they still arguing and covering up the facts?

But Hsieh's first support action raised doubts about his motives—he mobilized eight city councilors to jointly send a letter to the prosecutor, asking the prosecutor to take the initiative to file an appeal.A good-natured suspicion is that he doesn't fully understand the possible political benefits of expanding the "Penglai Island case" outside the party, and he doesn't want his friend to go to jail.The malicious suspicion is that he is worried that after this incident expands, Chen Shui-bian's political status will rise rapidly, and he will not be able to catch up in a short time.At present, Chen and Xie's political status outside the party is generally considered to be comparable.

At that time, the theoretical “masters” outside the party should be more active in persuading the family members not to appeal.Since the family members have the ability to make independent judgments and decisions, the reason why the support club still supports them is that the defendant did not release water and apologize in the newspaper. They just changed the way of fighting. They still need support. I personally think that this case is not the defendant’s personal In terms of morality and overall interests outside the party, we must continue to support them. □After the family members appealed independently, the support club was criticized by some people outside the party. Do you think these criticisms are pertinent and appropriate? ■This time everyone realizes the importance of time for criticism. On the one hand, the lawsuit is still pending, and we need to provide opportunities for the defendant to perform later. Therefore, there are not many superficial criticisms outside the party.In this issue of "Qianqiu Commentary", Li Ao put forward the concept and specifications of political struggle. He set out a 100-point direction to see how far we can achieve, and let us review at any time during the process; as a political public figure, this kind of Criticism is acceptable.However, there are also people who are suspicious of personal motives, saying that I want my family members to appeal, and I am afraid that Chen Shui-bian's reputation will outweigh my expectations. Doubts have bad motives, and any behavior can be cast under this model to be suspicious. What's more, saying this, at this time, has the side effect of provoking and dividing Chen Shui-bian and me. Those who said it should have thought of it.The last sentence Lin Yixiong said in the military court really impressed me very deeply. He said: We are looking forward to a beautiful society. It only appears in terms of identifying what is the "supreme good".The common shortcoming outside the party is that the training they believe to be "supreme goodness" is weak. What really hurts people outside the party is not that people outside the party don't do "goodness", but that people outside the party don't do "good things".People outside the Party only think that what they do is "good", that is, "kind and noble behavior", but in fact this is not enough.
