Respecting teachers is a fine tradition of the Chinese nation. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Mr. Cai's teaching and the 70th birthday, some of us who have been taught by Mr. Cai publish this commemorative collection. First, we would like to express our congratulations to Mr. Cai and thank him for his careful training; Mr. Cai reported our research results and used them to promote research and academic exchanges on China's secret society issues. Entrusted by Mr. Cai and fellow students, the two of us undertook the organization and part of the editing and review work of this manuscript in our spare time.The secret society problem is an international academic research topic, and it is also a real social problem that has received a lot of attention.Regarding the issue of our country's secret society, the academic circles, especially the older generation of scholars, have conducted pioneering research and made remarkable achievements.However, there are still many theoretical and practical issues that are still being studied and explored, and there are different academic viewpoints and opinions.It is normal for researchers to put forward different academic opinions on the issue of secret societies in our country from their own perspectives, which will help deepen the research on this issue.There are also some researchers who, out of their sense of social responsibility, put forward suggestions for governing secret societies.Some opinions and suggestions may not be mature yet, but they show the concern of the younger generation of researchers for social issues and have certain reference value.Based on this understanding, in the process of editor-in-chief, in line with the principles of academic freedom and self-responsibility, we fully respected the academic views of each author and did not make any changes. We only adjusted some articles from the perspective of text.In addition, although several articles do not belong to the scope of research on secret society issues, they are also commemorative works, so they are included together.Because most of the articles deal with the issue of China's secret society, the whole book takes its title.This needs to be explained.
