Chapter 5 Not to fix the phenomenon, but to fix the cause

"It's not the time to correct the phenomenon, but the reason to correct it!" The first time I said this sentence was in several books 20 years ago: "New The Wealth of Nations", "Heisei Restoration", "Heisei Restoration PART2 ", "New · Omae Research Report".In this book, I have further added the recently analyzed data, hoping that all Japanese citizens will reach a consensus: the "treatment" of the Japanese government must be accelerated.Based on this wish, I took up my pen and completed this book with all my energy.I don't care if someone says "Dai Mae is a broken drum".Because the evidence is overwhelming, the facts are out there, and the government needs a complete overhaul, so I can't just pretend I don't see the problem and talk nonsense.

Even if the government is playing whack-a-mole, Mr Koizumi has demonstrated that bold reforms never before seen are possible, and this is the latest evidence. It is precisely because of this that Mr. Koizumi was able to build a stage with national support. That being the case, the government should take a step forward - "write a script starting from the national point of view". If Japan can actively devote itself to building a "national sovereign state", "it can improve the quality of life and reduce the cost of living", this is my consistent proposition for 10 years.I think young people today probably haven't read my early works!I thought at the time that "if Japan cannot complete a series of reforms before 2005, Japan, which has entered an aging society, will fall into a situation where it cannot reform itself."After entering the Heisei era (beginning in 1989), the Japanese called all reforms "Heisei Restoration".Specifically, it is not just the constitution, but new laws that meet the needs of the 21st century in all aspects, so that Japan can become a truly "national sovereign state."

The concept opposite to "national sovereignty" is "the thinking logic of the provider".Everything in post-war Japan is made up of the thinking logic of the provider. This is the need of the times, since all material things are scarce. As long as the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries can continue to fill the stomachs of the people, it will be fine. The Ministry of Health, Welfare (Department of Health and Social Welfare Bureau) uses the thinking logic of doctors, and the Ministry of Education (Ministry of Education) promotes the thinking logic of educators. As long as they can improve the quality of services they provide, government departments have fulfilled their responsibilities.

But in the late 1980s (Showa period, 1926-1988), the logic of these providers obviously did not actually make the citizens feel that their lives were fuller and richer.Although the numbers are pretty bright, compared with before, the quality of life of the people is low, even stagnating at the level of developing countries. The reason is that the government pays more attention to the industrial foundations such as public works and social foundations than the people's living foundations. That is to say, the provider's logic is overkill. It is because I have these "talking evidence" that I urgently appeal to the government to devote itself to building a model of "national sovereignty".
