Chapter 78 23. China spans five continents

When people talk about China and China's population, they usually mean the number of people on Chinese territory that should be counted.By 2033, China's population will reach 1.5 billion, which is not a small number! However, if we look at China's influence areas around the world, China's actual population is far more than this.Adding the countries influenced by China and Chinese people all over the world, we can see a world "Greater China" that transcends national borders. In fact, the Chinese are scattered across five continents, covering 130 countries and regions.

Before the beginning of this century, the Chinese left the embrace of their motherland, rushed to various parts of the world, and began to emigrate overseas. Now, more than 10 million Chinese have formed various networks, which is an invisible and incomparable force.Settling in every corner of the world, these Chinese constitute the largest and most powerful ethnic group in the world.Overseas Chinese were first concentrated in Southeast Asia, but in recent centuries they have gradually dispersed across the globe. These overseas Chinese built a "peaceful kingdom".In the initial stage of China's modernization process, they invested from overseas to their hometowns and played a decisive role.

In every country, the Chinese control some companies of different sizes in various industries: food, catering, services, real estate, tourism, banking, finance, retail, stocks, media, Internet, telecommunications, transportation, housing construction and Public works and information engineering. But there are more companies that have formed powerful business groups. In the past, the cost of Chinese emigration abroad was heavy: uprooted, exiled, far away from the motherland and family. These peons serve as cheap labor in some outer islands, distant lands or western countries. Since 2000, most of them started from the southeastern coastal areas of China, especially Shanghai, the only large open port city, on the grounds of doing business. They were the victims of xenophobia, racism, and even the Holocaust. This may partly explain their saga of making fortunes overseas and the separation of their economic development from some important Chinese groups, whether in North America or elsewhere.

Then, in the last dozen or so years, Chinese emigrants started from the coastal areas and all over China. With unprecedented cultural, economic, and financial power, this huge group has formed a new multipolar balance body. The global spread of Chinese groups has the following characteristics: concentrated in Southeast Asia, scattered around the world, rich in social and economic diversity. The characteristics of the Chinese are so well-known that we can regard them as signs of the Chinese: low-key, industrious, business-savvy, successful in business, law-abiding, and adaptable to the receiving country. The Chinese world has woven a huge international humanities network, forming a collage map of China around the world.

Today, these Chinese who have settled overseas are engaged in various social industries, including: laborers, students, cadres, engineers, technicians, scientists, researchers, artists, farmers, traders, businessmen, financiers, business people, journalists and civil servants. That doesn't include the tens of millions of Chinese tourists who travel to other countries around the world to enjoy the sights. Among the Chinese, some people play a very important role in charge of domestic or international business activities. Before many people understand the situation, the overseas Chinese have already mastered the countermeasures to adapt to various situations and the super high ability to deal with personnel affairs. This is mainly due to the advantages and experience they have gained in the process of trade modernization. They have established a powerful cultural, economic and financial communication platform between Chinese and Chinese.

They are not necessarily all Chinese, but they are part of the "Chinese".Considering the diversity of Chinese nationalities, the list listed above is not complete and cannot accurately estimate the population. If we add to the list the territories recovered by China, that is, the former colonies (wealthy Macau and powerful Hong Kong), plus Taiwan and other areas of influence, the influence of the Chinese cultural circle in the world, whether in terms of quantity, economy, Both culturally and financially they are incredibly powerful.China develops economic and financial relations with its numerous circles of cultural influence.

This is mainly related to economics, kinship or interests. Therefore, a high-speed railway linking China and Singapore is under construction. Regardless of nationality, the "Chinese cultural circle" with a population of nearly 1.4 billion constitutes more than 20% of the world's population. Admittedly, we are still far away from the world population of 9.2 billion (estimated in 2075), and the future population of China is not very clear. The population should remain stable, but at a United Nations meeting on the development and changes of the world population in the next 300 years, relevant experts predicted that the world population will have alarming changes.

According to these experts, by 2300, the world's population may decrease dramatically to 2.3 billion, or stabilize at 9.2 billion, or the world will usher in a population explosion, and the number will surge to 36.4 billion. What a bold idea this is!
