Chapter 11 chapter Ten

Three days later... "Hey, Pierre, you can tell a joke," said Bastien Fabre. The tall, muscular man's reddish mane was as unkempt as ever.He knelt in front of an open oven in which a piglet was simmering.Bastian is buttering the piglets. If a small blister formed under the suckling pig's skin, Bastian popped it immediately with a needle. At that time, Bastian only knew Thomas as Pierre Hunnebert, and he taught this cooking method. There were two other gentlemen besides Bastian in this little kitchen.Thomas and Major Bush.Bastian always thought that Thomas was long dead. When the old friend reunited, he hugged his old friend and cried like a child: "I'm so happy, cough, I'm dying..." After everyone calmed down, Thomas explained the reason for his visit.Introduced his situation.Bastian was laughing all the time, with tears in his eyes. Then everyone unanimously decided to have a good snack the next day.Now the three of them are standing in the kitchen.Bastian was keeping an eye on the cooking of the suckling pig, and Thomas was making a kind of crab chowder. The Englishman was cutting cheese for an after-dinner snack.Thomas said: "I need you as a good assistant, Bastian. Do you remember the situation on the Spanish border well?"

"Pierre, it's okay to talk in your sleep! I've bought all the people in the Spanish border!" "That's great," said Thomas. "Then you'll be our guide. We've got to take this gentleman to Lisbon. Mr. Bush, would you please cut the cheese smaller? Bastian , Do you have any ketchup?" Bastian opened a cupboard and took out a bottle. When I took out the bottle, something fell out with a bang.At first glance, it turned out to be a toy locomotive.Bastian picked it up from the floor and said: "Look, Pierre. Remember? This is the only locomotive left on my electric railway. You used this The locomotive made a strange dish. I have been carrying it as a talisman since then, so that I can recall memories..."

"I know," said Thomas Levin softly. He was thinking of Santa Tessier as he stirred the crab juice. When he thought of this person, his heart ached.Ah Santa. If you were still alive, if you could be with us now... At this moment he heard Bastian say: "One more thing, that bald head is still there." Marseille's bald head?" Bastian bit his lip and nodded. "That bastard, he disbanded his gang. Became a spy in the security department. The whole city of Marseilles was afraid of him, everyone trembled at the mention of him. Of course he is a little scared now. But... "Hearing this, an unknown fire burned in Thomas's chest. He gritted his teeth and said, "This bald man is still alive! The guy who killed Santa Tessier is still living in Marseille!" Thomas felt dizzy and couldn't stand upright.Thomas said, "Mr. Bush, you have to go across the border alone with my friend. I have some business to attend to here." The Englishman was about to protest, but Thomas shook his head vigorously and said, "Don't you It's a waste of time. I'm staying here. I'm going to settle with a villain. At any cost, even if it means losing my head..."

On June 14, 1944, Thomas drove the British officer and Bastian Fabre in the command car of the Security Service all the way to the Spanish border. "Take care, Major, think about that conversation we had in the sleeper car." The Englishman bowed silently.Bastian's eyes filled with tears again as he hugged Thomas. "You have to come back immediately." Thomas said to him: "We will meet again in Marseilles. The war here is about to end." Thomas owed this confidence to the radio station in his command car.Every day he listened to German and Allied radio broadcasts.Thomas formulated his own action plan according to this space news.He returned to Marseilles to watch the bald Dante Villefort day and night. But Thomas was in no hurry to act. He's waiting, he knows what he's waiting for...

On June 26, the Allied forces captured Cherbourg, and on July 9 the town of Cain.On July 20th the Hitler murder took place. On August 3 Wren fell into the hands of the Allies.Nine Days Le Mans fell.Nantes fell on the 10th, and the Roval line of defense collapsed. All this was heard from Thomas Levin in his command car.But he still didn't make a move. Then, on August 15th, the British and Americans landed at Rivera from the city of Niapal.Grebel fell on the 23rd.Now is the time, Thomas Levine said to himself. On this day, he came to the security office of Paradise Street. Before entering the door, I saw thick smoke billowing in the yard. It turned out that the Gestapo were burning their documents and files.Thomas said to the panicked Lal: "Why panic, dear. We will definitely drive the Americans back to the sea. According to the order of the leader of the Imperial SS, everything here is still under my command. You want to escape Bar?"

"Where... where, don't move the captain." "I hope so, and now you send me two reliable men. Take your guns. It seems that you will be shot. That fellow is the most dangerous traitor in Marseilles, Dante Villefort." "Villefort, but this man is..." "Traitor, haven't I already said it! Do you dare to doubt the urgency of my mission, Mr. Lal? Do you want me to go to Berlin to sue you?" "My God, I don't dare. It's all understood, don't move Captain." On September 21, 1944, a man named Paul Martin told the officials of the 145th Counterintelligence Task Force of the U.S. Army in Europe the following situation. Noisy. An older Hanoverian told me: "We have an individual leader who is an important official in Berlin. He captured a traitor and nicknamed him Bald. The bald is now chained up in the basement below." ’” I knew the bald man’s name was Dante Villefort. He was indeed a traitor, but a traitor to France. He's a detective from the security department! On August 27, the Gestapo fled and slipped away.We yelled and slammed on the door.Useless! On the morning of August 28, the door of my cell was opened, and a well-dressed man stood outside the door. He said to us in fluent French: "Now you are as free as all your comrades in arms. In a short time The Confederate troops will be here in a few hours. Please keep watch over this house and the prisoner in the basement below until the Confederates arrive. Many of you know him. His name is Dante Villefort. He is a murderer and a detective of the security department. Because of his informant, countless of your compatriots have been killed." After finishing speaking, the man left.We watched Villefort, and later turned him over to a committee of Confederate armies. The committee immediately imprisoned him.And the man who freed us was never seen again.

On the morning of August 28th, Thomas moved out of the hotel and left a suitcase at the train station. There were sporadic fighting in the suburbs of Marseille from time to time, but it was not too intense. Marseille was liberated on the afternoon of August 29th.Thomas tore up his various Security Force IDs and pulled out another series. These documents played a very good role in the fight against the Kerozhang guerrillas... On the night of August 29, 1944, a British airborne agent who claimed to be Captain Robert Armand Effie came to the Americans. He said he had parachuted down over France and asked to be flown back to London immediately. The Americans warmly treated this brave Confederate soldier who looked exactly like Thomas Levine, treated him to whiskey and a good meal. When Marseille was liberated, French troops and partisans swarmed from all over the south also participated. Two days after the victory, it was celebrated with great fanfare at the Hotel de Noai, which was occupied by the Americans. All present were singing the French national anthem, and Captain Robert Armand Effie was among the crowd. He was singing vigorously when he felt a hand rest heavily on his shoulder. He turned around and saw two burly American military policemen and Colonel Jules Simon standing behind him. "Arrest this man!" Colonel Simon now changed into a beautiful uniform. He bellowed loudly: "This man is one of the most dangerous German spies of the war. Hands up, Herr Levin, you have gone too far. Your game is over!"

On August 25 General de Gaulle entered Paris together with the Americans. On September 25th, for the second time in his life, Thomas Levin was imprisoned in the Frèsnes prison, not far from Paris. The first time it was the Gestapo who locked him in, this time it was the French who locked him in.Thomas sat in his cell for a week, fine. Two weeks passed and still nothing happened. This time, he was really calm and composed when he was in the classroom. He often used the philosophy of life to comfort himself. He often thinks this is not a matter of course, is it okay not to sit in the classroom? You should sit down.In these dark ages, haven't I also made an alliance with the devil, made a treaty and made a deal?Who wants to eat at the same table with the devil, then he must take a long spoon! On the other hand, I have so many friends here and I have helped so many French people.Yvonne Desang, Feroud the banker, Madame Bage.I saved the lives of many people, and they will come to save me now.How long will I have to squat in the classroom this time?half a year?Well, that's okay. Can stand it!In half a year, oh God, in half a year I'll be free! Then I will finally be able to go back to England. After wandering around for many years, I can finally live a peaceful life.Wash your hands and never do any secret activities of secret agents and spies again!Never go on an adventure again! It was possible to live as before, living off the money that Eugen Weiert had kept in his bankbook in Zurich.

While meditating, the sound of leather boots outside the prison door came from far to near. The key rattled in the lock, and the cell door opened, and two French soldiers stood outside. "Pack up!" a soldier yelled. "It's finally here." Thomas said while putting on his shirt: "I've been waiting for a long time, and I'm not being interrogated until today!" "What interrogation, it's nothing!" Another soldier said, "Pack up your things and prepare to be shot!" The dark blue sky was cloudless. On July 7, 1945, the weather in Baden-Baden was very hot. The residents of this city were walking around the streets with yellow faces, skinny faces and ragged clothes. When it was almost noon, a tea-green command car drove quickly to the intersection of Leopold Square, and a two-star general was sitting in the car.Directing the traffic here is a French military policeman. There are all French cars coming and going.Baden-Baden is the seat of the French military government.Germany has 30,000 inhabitants. There are 32,000 French soldiers and management officers, including their families. "Stop it," said the general. The driver stopped the car.The military police gave a military salute very casually. If he met a German general, he would definitely give him a severe reprimand. However, the German generals stopped swearing these days, or it was not their turn to open their mouths to swear again.

The two-star general rolled down the glass window and said, "I'm not a local. You know the situation here. Can you tell me which annual market has the best food?" "General, don't go to the annual market to find something to eat! Go to the War Criminals Hunting Office to find Captain Clermont." The military police pointed out the route for the general to get there. "Okay, let's drive." The hungry general said impatiently, and the car drove forward quickly.Passed by the Atlantic Hotel and the Wellness Hotel, and past the Pleasure Casino.Ah, what a dreary sight!I think this place once gathered rich men, rich wives, and expensive prostitutes! Now, it is full of devastation and scorched earth. The costly furniture of health hotels and casinos was piled up in the open air like broken firewood. The command vehicle stopped outside the door of a very imposing villa. It was the headquarters of the Gestapo until the end of the so-called thousand-year empire.Today it is the French Office for the Hunting of War Criminals. The general went into the villa and asked the people there about Captain Clermont.

In a few moments the man who called himself René Clermont arrived, a middle-aged man of about thirty-five, wearing a well-cut uniform.Of course, despite his uniform, he still had the air of a commoner. The Captain, whose real name was Thomas Levine, was a very long time ago a prosperous private banker in London, and now he shook hands with General Two Stars and said, Your Excellency, General." What is going on here?Since two soldiers took him out of Fresnes prison on October 3, 1944, ordered him to pack up his things and be shot, how could this Thomas Levine be killed again on July 7, 1945? Acting as a war criminal hunt for France in Baden-Baden... What?shot?Thomas thought in amazement. Two soldiers tied him down into the dark, dank prison yard, and pushed Thomas into a stinking car with its windows open, where he crouched. He didn't know where he was, and when the car drove into a gloomy courtyard in Paris, he let the two soldiers push him roughly forward, and pushed him into a building. He felt dizzy, and everything around him spun.He was panting hard, only heard someone talking, but he couldn't understand what they were saying. He dimly saw a man in the uniform of a French colonel sitting behind the desk. The man had a sunburnt face with gray temples.A pair of kind eyes.Watching Thomas felt his blood boil in his temples. He knew he was saved. It was Colonel Debra of the Second Division, a friend of Josephine Barker, whom he had saved his life in Lisbon.Colonel Debra was so secretive that no one could see that he knew Thomas Levine. "Go over there!" he yelled at Thomas roughly. "Sit down! Don't talk!" The two soldiers uncuffed him and demanded a signature and stamp to prove that they delivered the prisoner here. , After dawdling for a long time, I finally left. Now only Masi and Debra are left in the office.Debra smiled slightly and said, "Josephine sends you hello, you poor wretch." "Thank you, thank you. Where is Madame...?" "In Casablanca. I'm the commander of the city, as you know." "really interesting." "I was in Paris on business at the time, and I learned by chance that you had been arrested." Thomas gradually regained his spirits. "It's all the work of your colleague, Colonel Simon! I was singing the Marseillaise and celebrating the liberation of the country. I should have stayed in the hotel instead of singing outside. If I had, I would be in London by now." Looks like singing the national anthem isn't going to end well!" Debra said, "I know you very well. I know what you've done against us. But I also know what you've done for us. This The last time I was in Paris, I heard someone talking about your fate. I am no longer there. I am now in the office of war criminals. Because of this, I put your name on my list of war criminals. I am very grateful to them I'm going to bring you up and have you shot. Otherwise, I have no access to you. Only by this ruse did I manage to get you out of Fresnes prison in my hands. It's a coup. ?” "It's wonderful. But the nerves are a bit overwhelming." Thomas said, wiping the sweat from his forehead.Debra shrugged. "It's been like that all our lives, Levin. I'm telling you I hope you don't think too much. I hope you've guessed what I'm trying to get you out of?" "I'm afraid I already know." Thomas said dejectedly. "I guess that means I'll have to do things for you again from now on, Colonel Debra!" "That's what it means, right." "One more question, who told you in Paris that I was arrested?" "Ferud the banker." Thomas asked after a pause, "What are you going to ask me to do, Colonel Debra?" Josephine Barker's friend looked at Thomas gently and said, "You can speak Italian." language, right?" "correct." "In 1940, when the Germans attacked our country, the Italians declared war on us. One of the most hated villains who terrorized the South of France at that time was General Luigi Contanelli. He promptly Changed into common people's clothes... disappeared like most generals and gentlemen. According to the information we have, it is near the city of Niapal." Forty-eight hours later Thomas Levin reached Niapal. On about the eleventh day, Thomas arrested General Cantanelli in the village of Kefano, northeast of Niappal, and Thomas returned to Paris with the famous prisoner. In the evening, I sat in a comfortable and refreshing bar and told Colonel Debra what happened. "It's actually very simple. The American Special Forces have helped me a lot. They're nice guys. The Italians are pretty good too. They don't like generals or marshals. But the Italians don't seem to like Americans very much either. .What a pity!" One evening Thomas and Colonel Debra were sitting in a cozy bar in Paris talking.Colonel Debra said to him: "Levin, you are a German, and we need you to go to Germany now. There are many real villains and gangsters there. No one knows the difference between the villains and the gangsters as well as you. You After we go, we can hit the real culprit firmly and firmly. Are you willing to do this work?" "willing." "You have to wear a uniform anyway in Germany." "No!" "I'm very sorry, but it's a rule. We'll have to give you a French name, and a rank. Captain, okay?" "My God, what kind of uniform is going to be worn?" "That's your business, Levin. Go find it yourself." So Thomas went to find a tailor in the city and chose some clothes for himself.Gray aviator pants, a beige coat with two pockets and a long center slit in the back. The belt is matched with a shoulder strap and a boat-shaped hat.Three stars embellished on the cuffs.Everyone likes this set of military uniforms invented by Thomas.Soon it became the official uniform of the War Criminals Hunting Office.Thomas returned to his homeland as Captain René Clermont with the advancing Confederate troops. He furnishes his offices in the former Gestapo headquarters on Kaiser Wilhelmstrasse. On August 2, 1945, Thomas experienced a shocking experience when a skinny man entered his office. His hair was already grey, and his emaciated face showed that he was malnourished.Clothes are old and wrinkled. The man came in, took off his hat and said the following: "Hi, sir. My name is Werner Helbricht. You're looking for me. I used to be district captain." Thomas stared at the skinny white man. The man with the hair asked: "Why did you come here?" Helbricht replied: "Because I realize that a terrible crime has been committed in my country. I will repent and do everything you want me to What I did. I sincerely regret having served that sinful government. I believed their words. But I was wrong. I should have believed less and thought more independently." Thomas stood up. "Mr. Helbricht, it's already one o'clock. Before we go any further, a question if you would like to come with me to lunch." "What? Eat? With you? Didn't I tell you that I'm a Nazi!" "That's all right. Because you said it all automatically and sincerely." "Then I have a request. Come with me into my yard. I want to show you something, by the path in the forest, just behind my yard." Mrs. Helbricht made them a meal with wild vegetables such as geranium and dandelion. She looked as pale and haggard as her husband. The courtyard was dilapidated, the window panes were all broken, and the door locks were battered by bullets. The stables were also empty.Everything in the room was looted by foreign workers. "It can't be their fault." Helbricht said with a wry smile: "We looted them first. In their country..." Mrs. Helbricht, standing in the empty kitchen, said: " Mashed potatoes and roasted fruit after the soup. Allotment. Sorry, nothing else." Thomas went out to the yard, opened the trunk of his car and took out a half pound of butter, a jar of cream , a can of gravy and a can of corned beef. "Okay, let me do it now, Mrs. Helbricht," Thomas said. "Oh, God," cried Mrs. Helbricht. "Corn beef! How many times have I dreamed of it before!" Helbricht said: "And now there are those who gloat watching other people starve, those who are responsible for our suffering. Mr. Captain, I am not a whistleblower. But there are I have to tell you something, that in the woods, under the moss, there is a food cellar." "Who dug it? When did it dig it?" "It was the autumn of 1944, and the aide-de-camp of the leader of the Reich Peasants came to me, Dr. Zimmermann, the head of the Gestapo in Karlsruhe. He said they were going to bury something, said yes Reserved for... for the Führer... said to be reserved for the most important people..." The worried Mrs. Helbricht said sadly while filtering her breast: "It is precisely because of this that we invited you here The food has to be dug up, so many people are starving... We have a shelter. We can survive. But the homes that were bombed, the refugees, the children..." So starting from August 2, 1945, two things were going on intensely and secretly. On the one hand, a huge food cellar was secretly dug out, thousands of cans, lard, meat, jam, artificial honey, coffee, tea, chocolate, glucose, flour, vegetables, fruits, all these treasures were handed over to the On the other hand, the elite personnel selected by the War Criminals Hunting Office monitored the forest behind the yard day and night. In the early morning of August 11th, the sky was not yet bright.Thomas was on duty when a man crept up from the woods path.He looked around with an empty pocket on his back and a cross spade in his hand.Thomas recognized the man by his pale face, the man in the hunt photo.Seeing that there was no one around, the man began to dig. He dug faster and more urgently. It was too late when he realized there was a noise. "Chief Zimmerman of the Gestapo!" Thomas pointed his pistol at him and said, "You are under arrest." Thomas told the sentinel: "Anyone who comes here to dig the ground is a big boss, and you must be arrested immediately!" During the period from August to October 1945, seventeen Nazi leaders were skillfully captured in this way. In the first autumn after the war, people suffered from hunger, lack of clothing and clothing, and suffered from the disasters caused by the war.In the French-occupied zone, the relationship between the occupying forces and the residents of the occupied zone became more and more tense. On the surface, the city of Baden-Baden did not appear to have suffered serious damage during the war. However, what is far more serious than the superficial damage is that the morals here have been corrupted. There are fights everywhere, and stabbings are everywhere to vent personal anger and revenge. The soldiers were looting and stealing everywhere in this area, shooting and killing people at every turn.Thomas knew perfectly well that a captain named Valentine was one of those gangsters who had made their fortunes by the meanest means. However, months passed, and he never caught evidence until November 3, 1945.Thomas had heard the day before that the young captain was planning another secret raid on the house. When Valentine left Baden-Baden in a jeep with two soldiers on the afternoon of November 3, Thomas jumped into another jeep and followed them closely. He was very cautious and kept a certain distance. They drove all the way to Spielberg. In this village there is a dark ruined castle surrounded by high walls.Thomas carefully drove the car into a bush, took a shortcut on foot and hurried up.It was a huge palace-style villa, with lights burning in several windows.Thomas saw a figure moving inside and heard someone talking excitedly. He walked quietly around the house, looking up the front wall.He saw Captain Valentine go up to the flowerpot by the window and pull out the flowers one by one. Why?What's the use?Puzzled, Thomas waited patiently.Until Valentine led the two people he brought out of the house. After they were gone, Thomas went to knock on the door. The heavy door rattled and was opened by a panicked servant. "Who lives here?" Thomas asked. "Count von Waldau." "I'm Captain Clairemont, you go and report." Earl von Waldau, Thomas remembered this person.A member of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a party member, has committed serious crimes.Thomas interrogated the man twice in Baden-Baden.Then he came out, haughty on his bony face, and blazing in his eyes.He shouted: "You are here too, Captain Clairemont! You want to steal something from me? Silver pieces? Oil paintings? Your colleagues have already taken all the good things." !" "Count," Thomas said calmly, "I came here to find out what happened here just now." "Don't you know that?!" Waldau roared, "You are all thieves! You are all pigs!" "Shut up!" Thomas said what had just happened. The count froze, trembling all over, and began to talk, slumped in a chair... He said that he buried his most expensive jewels in those pots, under the roots of the flowers and plants. "All the jewelry in the family is buried there! A relative gave me an idea. This vixen! At that time, only she and I knew, and now I understand..." At this point, the count's eyes showed a look of fear .He looked at Thomas and said, "Please forgive my offense just now, I now believe that you are not one of them..." "Go on." "You know, I'm a guilty man. I've always been afraid that someone would rob my house. We're alone, there's no one around, and it's pretty deserted. A relative of mine came to see me a month ago, she's an English People. I guess she was doing spy work, and at the Hannover headquarters, she told me to hide things in flower pots..." "Count, tell me the name of this lady," the count told him. Two days later, a Captain Clermont of the War Criminals Hunting Office in Baden-Baden came to the headquarters of the British Intelligence Service in Hannover. He had come here in search of a slender blond beauty in the uniform of a female second lieutenant who had an office on the third floor of the building. This lady is holding a magnifying glass and carefully examining a precious bracelet.Hearing someone knock on the door, she quickly hid the magnifying glass and bracelet: "Come in!" The lady called out, and the man who just called himself Captain Clermont walked in.The lady behind the desk screamed when she saw him.Her face suddenly became as pale as paper, and she covered her face with her hands, dumbfounded, and whispered in her mouth, "Impossible...Tommy...you?" Thomas bit his lips. Staring at the beautiful and unrestrained Princess Vena, she was the mistress of the Nazi black market dealer La Cule that he had met in Paris a long time ago.His Princess Vena, his charming mistress. This wolf in human clothing, this shameless man, this guy in Paris who would do anything for money. "Tommy, what a delight! You're with the Frenchman now." She said something incoherent and came to hug Thomas.Thomas pushed her away. "You shameless woman, you vile bastard. Since when did you get involved with that dog Valentine?" "I don't understand at all what you're talking about, baby," the princess answered him with a smile. "If you dare to repeat your words again, I will beat you." Thomas warned her through gritted teeth. But Wei Na still followed the instructions. With a bang Thomas slapped her across the face.At this moment, a fierce and silent struggle broke out in the offices of the British Intelligence Service in Hannover, and the two wrestled into a ball. After five minutes, Wei Na sat in the chair and calmed down a little.Thomas also calmed down, pacing up and down in front of her, wanting to enlighten and educate this rare member of the German nobility: "You are too irresponsible and shameless." She stretched like a cat: "Nonsense Tommy, come to your little Vina again! Go back to my throat as before!" "Are you going to be beaten again?" Thomas said. "What you have done is the most shameless and despicable thing in the world... Is Count Waldau your relative? Isn't it!" "So it's this guy! This old Nazi!" Wei Na laughed. "Don't laugh! Two days ago your good friend Valentin went to raid the count's house. To be more precise, he stole the flowerpots in his house, because these flowerpots are the ones he kept in this big house. The only thing of interest. Stop laughing! It's outrageous! Whose idea is this? Is it you?" "Of course Valentine's not that smart." Thomas stopped in front of her, and said with his hands on his hips, "Smart! You're as bad as a Nazi!" "Shut up your tricks! What's the point here? Just to make a point of morality to that Nazi swine Waldau! Didn't he just get all these gold, silver and jewels in the Third Reich!" "It's possible." Thomas said, "Since Waldau was tricked into it, it should be handed over to the country, but it's definitely not yours!" "My God! You're so charming...so rough...so much ideal, Tommy, you know? Come to me. I have a nice house here, and there used to be an old Nazi in it too Pass!" "Did you really think I'd walk over your door?" Thomas said sarcastically. It is indeed a very comfortable house.Thomas and the princess had the same plan in mind that night, and each wanted to crucify the other.Wei Na took out a bottle of whiskey first, and the two drank each other, Wei Na secretly thought that he would always be drunk.Thomas was also thinking that she must be drunk. As a result, both of them were drunk. And then three hours later... three hours later, our fair-haired princess was uncharacteristically tender. And Thomas also seemed to show a little affection.Drunk Thomas then made a terrible mistake. He talked about his future plans and about the bank account he had opened in Zurich under the name Eugen Weltry. "Your name is still Eugene Weiertley?" Wei Na asked with a chuckle, "ah, it's so beautiful...there...is there a lot of money in the account?" This question should have woken him up.But he didn't.He drunkenly cursed: "You are really crazy about money, aren't you? You know money!" They drank some more wine and fell asleep after a while. On March 15, 1946, except for the disappearance of Princess Vena, Valentine and his accomplices were removed from all positions in the army and sentenced to many years in prison. One day Thomas opened the drawer and took out his fake passports. He counted them and they were all there. He ordered it again, and heck, it was one short! When Thomas realized which passport was missing, the brow was sweating, the beautiful Swiss passport aliased as Eugen Weltry was lost. Not only that, two things that had been in the drawer disappeared, the passbook and bank credentials of the Swiss National Bank, and Thomas collapsed on the chair with a sigh. "what?" "certainly." it's him! "what about me?" "Understood."
