Chapter 2 how to get love vol 1

Kamasutra 奥维德 22158Words 2018-03-18
If there is someone in our country who does not understand the art of love, he only needs to read this poem, and he will understand it when he reads it, and he will love it.It is art that makes ships go fast with sails and oars, and it is art that makes chariots go lightly; and art should rule over Cupid.Automedon was good at the chariot and the soft bridle; Tifes was the helmsman of the ships of Hymonia. And I, whom Venus once called me the teacher of her little Cupid; people will call me Tifes and Automedon of Cupid. He is stubborn by nature, he often resists me, but he is a child, at a tender age, he obeys orders.Phileira's son educated Achilles with the music of the harp, and tamed his wild nature with this quiet art. This man, how many times has he terrorized his companions and his enemies. It is said that he was seen trembling before a decrepit old man; his hands, which weighed heavily on Hector, would be stretched out to be punished when his master told him to take them out.Chiron was the teacher of the grandson of Aeacus; and I am Cupid's.Both are fearsome children, both are sons of the Goddess. But the proud bull drives the yoke of the plow after all, and the brave war horse chews the bridle that controls it in vain.So do I.I surrender to Cupid, though his arrows wound my heart, and wave his bright torch before me.The sharper his arrows, the hotter his fire, the more he arouses me to avenge my wounds.Apollo, I will never pretend that the art I teach is from you; it is not the song and the quiver of the birds that teach me this art; when I was herding sheep in your valley Askra At that time, I didn't see Greo and Ge Lio's sisters.Experience is my teacher: listen to the poet who knows.Truly, this is what I will sing: Help me, Cupid's mother!Away, thin sash, token of chastity; and you, sweeping gown, half cover the slender feet of our ladies! We shall sing of joy without danger and pilfering of sanctioned pilferage; there is nothing in my verse to reproach.

Those who are willing to vote under the banner of Venus, first, you should pay attention to finding the object of your love; second, you should pay attention to attracting the woman you love; third, you should make this love last for a long time .This is my field; this is the field on which my chariot runs; this is what it ought to be. When you are free and can go wherever you want, you can choose someone who can say to her "Only you make me love".She won't be blown down from heaven on a fair wind; the beauty that pleases you should be sought with your eyes. The hunter knows well where he should cast his deer nets; he knows well in what valley the boar's lair is.The fowler knows where the woods are good for his rods; and the fisherman is not ignorant of the waters in which there are the most fish. The same is true for you. If you want to find a long-lasting love object, you should be the first to know where you can meet many girls. To find them, you need not sail in a ship, nor travel far.Perseus From blackened India so many young beauties; Cupid's mother has taken her dwelling in the city of her dear Aeneas. If you are obsessed with young and developing beauties, a truly flawless girl will please you; if you like older, thousands of young women will please you, and you will have a choice It's difficult. But maybe a middle-aged experienced woman is extra interesting to you, then, believe me, there are more of them.

When the sun touches the lion's back of Hercules, you only have to go for a slow walk in the shade of Pompeus' gate, or to that loving mother to add to her son's gift, so that Walking by the magnificent monuments of exotic marble, do not forget to visit the gallery full of ancient books, called Livia, which is the name of its founder. And don't forget the verandah where you can see the granddaughters of Perus who murdered their unfortunate cousins, and their cruel fathers with swords in their hands. Not to forget the festival of Adonis, which Venus lamented, and the great festival held by the Jews of Syria on the seventh day of every week. Not to shun the cow, the shrine of the sackclothed goddess of Egypt: she makes many women imitate what she did to Zeus.

Even the market (who would believe that?) is also in Cupid's favor, and as much as he makes a fuss, a ray of passion is born from it.Under the temple dedicated to the marble of Venus, Abias shot into the air with flying springs. In that land there are many jurists who are bound by Cupid, and those who can secure others cannot secure themselves.Often, in this place.Even the most eloquent man lacks rhetoric: new interests take hold of him, and he is compelled to argue for his own.Nearby, Venus smiles awkwardly in her temple; who a short while ago protected, now wishes only to be protected. But cast your net especially in the theater and its semicircle: these are the places richest in good opportunities. There, you can find someone to seduce you, someone you can deceive, someone who is just passing by, someone you can have a long-term relationship with.Like ants carrying their food grains to and fro in long formations, or like those bees, when they have found their prey herbs, flitting lightly over fennel and flowering branches. The same is true for the women, dressed in heavy makeup, busy going to the theater where the crowd is walking; their number often makes it difficult for me to choose. They are to see, but they are especially to be seen; and this is a dangerous place in chastity, which you started, Romulus, who mixed your troubles with amusement, and plundered the Shapinians A woman shall be the wife of your warriors.

Then the curtain was not yet adorned with marble theatres, and the saffron juice had not yet stained the stage.Ribbons of leaves plucked from the trees of the Palatine were the only decorations of the humble theater. On the sectioned grass seats, people sat, their hair covered with leaves. Each one looks around him, noticing the girl he desires, quietly circling thoughts in his mind. When a madman stumbled three times on the flat ground amidst the sound of the horn, and amidst the cheers of the people, Romulus issued a signal to his men to seize everyone's prey. With a sudden cry of intrigue they rushed forward, and laid their greedy hands upon the young maiden. As a flock of cowardly doves flee before the eagle, as a young sheep flees at the shadow of a wolf, so trembled were the women of Chapiny. When they saw the savage warriors rushing towards them, they all paled: for they were all frightened, though the fright was different. Some were pulling their own hair, some sat on their seats and fainted; one wept silently, the other called her mother in vain; the rest were either sobbing or stunned; Standing, some want to run away.People led those women, and many of the prey destined for their marriage beds became extraordinarily beautiful because of their panic. If there is a woman who resists too much and refuses to go from the one who snatches her, he will hug her up, press her passionately to his chest, and say to her: "Why do you spoil your beautiful eyes with tears? What your father did to your mother, I will do to you." O Romulus!Only you can properly reward your soldiers: for such a prize I would gladly throw myself under your banner. This is for sure.Faithful to this ancient custom, the theater has set traps for beauties even now.

Not to forget the racetrack for the horse races. There are many opportunities in this arena where countless people gather.Gestures are not used to express your secret, and nodding is not required to indicate that it has a special effect. You go and sit next to her, the closer the better, it's okay; the narrow position makes her squeeze you very tightly, she can't do anything, but you are very happy. So you find a reason to talk to her, and at first say a few common words to her. When a fine horse enters the arena, you rush to ask her the name of the owner; whichever horse she likes, you immediately agree with her.But when the long procession of the Sailors comes in, led by a battle of warriors, you applaud her protector Venus with joy.If, by chance, a speck of dust flies to your beauty's breast, you brush it away with your finger; Is her dress trailing on the floor? You uncover it so that nothing can soil it.For your gallantry, she will without anger reward you with the favor of looking at her legs.In addition, you should pay attention to the spectators sitting behind her, lest the overstretched knees and ankles may touch her shoulders. It is these little things that captivate their lithe souls: how many amorous men succeed beside a beautiful woman because he has carefully arranged a cushion, fanned her, or placed a foot-hold on her under the slender feet. All of these good opportunities for new love can be found in the arena and in the market where feuding worries turn to worry.Cupid often takes pleasure in fighting there. There, the man who looks at other people's wounds feels wounded himself; he speaks, he bets on this or that sumo wrestler, he just touches the other's hand, he sets out to ask who wins, Suddenly a swift arrow pierced him; he gave a cry; and what had been a spectator at the fight now became one of the victims himself.

Caesar, not long ago, showed us the sea-battle, where the ships of Persia and the sons of Cyclopes fought, and youths of both sexes came from everywhere to see it; and Rome seemed then It's a world rendezvous. In this crowd, who has not found a love object?ah ah!How many people were burnt to death by a ray of passion in a foreign country! But Caesar is ready to unite the whole world; and now, O Far East, you shall be ours.Baldi, you are about to be punished.Crassus rejoices in thy grave; and you, banners wretched in the hands of barbarians, your avenger has marched; he was heroic when young, though still a child, He has commanded an army beyond the reach of the boy.Cowardly men, do not count the ages of the gods: among the Caesars bravery outlives years. The genius of their gods is angry ahead of time, impatient with slow growth.Still a little babe, the hero of Tirens had strangled two snakes with his hand: he had been Zeus' son from childhood. And you, ever-child-faced Bacchus, how great you are, when defeated India trembles before your pine stick!Child, it is under the protection and courage of your ancestors, you will lead the army, and you will overcome others under the protection and courage of your ancestors: a beginning like this can be compared with Your name matches.Today's young prince, one day you will be the speaker of the Senate.

Belt of Venus You have many brethren; avenge the insult done to your brethren. You have a father: stand up for your father's rights. It is the father of the nation and your own father who entrusts you with military power; only the enemy will usurp your father's throne. You wear the sacred weapon, and he wears the oath-breaking arrow.People will see, before your banner, holy justice walks.Originally succumbed to reason, of course they succumbed to military strength!May my hero bring the riches of the East to Latium. God Mars, and you, God Kaishan, help him when he sets out, because one of you has become a god, and the other will become a god in a day.Yes, I predicted, you will overcome, I made a wish to make a poem for you, where my mouth will find the fluent tone for you.I will describe you in all your garments, and encourage your soldiers with an ideal speech.I hope my poems are worthy of your valor!I shall describe the Baldi turning his back, and the Roman pursuing with chest out, shooting arrows from his horse as he pursues his foe.O Balti, you want to retreat, but what is left of you after your defeat? From now on, O Balti, Mars will only give you bad omens.Fairest of all men, one day we shall see you, clothed in gold, returning to our city on four white horses. In front of you, walk the enemy generals with chains around their necks; they can no longer escape as before.Young people and young girls will be happy to participate in this grand event, and this day will be very happy; if a young girl asks you the name of the defeated prince in the picture that people carry on their backs, where, what Xiaochuan, you should be completely Answer her clearly; and tell her without waiting for her to ask; even if there is something you don't know, you should say it as if you are familiar with it.This is the Euphrates, the one with the reeds wrapped around his forehead; the Tigris, the one with the dark blue wig; those who come by, say they are Armenians; and this woman is Persia, whose first king was Son of Dana love; this is a city in the valley of the sons of Achaemenes. This prisoner or that prisoner is a soldier; if you can, you can name them one by one after their faces, at least to suit them.

There are also excellent opportunities at banquets, where people find more than drinking pleasure. There the red-cheeked Cupid wraps Bacchus' arms in her slender arms. When his wings were soaked with the wine, the heavy and flightless Kovita remained motionless. But soon he shakes his wet wings, and woe beth those that have this scorching dew on their hearts.Wine sets the heart in tenderness and makes it easy to burn; cares are all taken away, quenched by drunkenness. Then there is laughter; then the poor man takes courage, and he is confident that he is a rich man: there is no more pain, no restlessness; expelled. There, the hearts of young people are often bound by girls: Venus, drunk, adds fuel to the fire. But trust not the deceitful light: neither night nor wine are good judges of beauty.

It was daylight, Paris saw the three goddesses, and said to Venus: "You are better than your two enemies, Venus." The night erased many stains and hid many defect. At that time, any woman seemed beautiful.Others judge gemstones and red silk in the daytime, so judging the lines and appearance of the human body must also be in the daytime. Shall I count the confluence of all the beauty hunters?I might as well count the sand in the sea.Shall I speak of the leaves, the banks of the leaves, and the baths of the smoldering sulfur springs? When they came out of the bath, many bathers were wounded in their hearts, and cried, "The water that is praised is not as hygienic as others say." Not far from the city of Rome, It is the temple of Diana, shaded by trees. This sovereignty was bought in exchange for red blood and fighting.Because she is a virgin, and because she is afraid of Cupid's arrows, this goddess has wounded many of her followers, and will wound many more.

Where do you choose the object of your love, where do you cast your web?So far Thalia on a chariot with unbalanced wheels has directed you.Now what I want to teach you is how to win over the one you love, and this is the most important part of my lessons.Lovers everywhere, take heed to me, and may my promises find a smooth oratory. Apollo loves the daughter of the river god First, you have to believe that any woman is available: you will get them; just cast your net.If women would not tolerate the teasing of men, there would be no birdsong in spring, no cicadas in summer, and hares would drive Menarus' dogs away. You thought she was unwilling, but in fact she was already secretly willing in her heart.Secret love is just as interesting to women as it is to men: but men do not know much about affectation, and women conceal their feelings very well.If the men don't strike first, the subdued woman will immediately strike. In the fragrant grass, it was the cow that called the bull affectionately, and the mare neighed again when she approached the stallion.Among us human beings, enthusiasm is more restrained and less unrestrained: the flames of human beings will not go against the principles of nature, shall I say Peebrys? For her brother, she burned the flame of sin, and then hanged herself, bravely punishing her own sin.Meera loved her father, but not with a daughter's love for her father; now she hid her shame in the bark that wrapped her.She became a fragrant tree, shed tears to make spices for us, and kept the name of this unfortunate woman. In the glen of Ida, covered with thickets, there is a white bull, the glory of the herd.It has a small black spot on its forehead, and only this spot, between the two horns, the rest of its body is completely milky white. The cows of Gnossus and Kidonaia both contended for the honor of being carried on their backs. Pasiphae longed to be his mistress, and she hated those beautiful cows. This is a proven fact; Crates, who has hundreds of cities, and specializes in deceit, cannot deny this fact.Others say that Pasiphae, with unfamiliar hands, picked fresh leaves and young grass for the bull herself, and that, in order to keep him company, she did not even think of her husband: a bull is better than a bull. Minos.Pasihua, why are you wearing such luxurious clothes?Your lover does not know your splendor. Why take a mirror when you're out on the hill to meet the herd? Why do you keep combing your hair? How stupid! At least trust your mirror: it tells you that you are not a cow.How you longed to grow two horns on your brow!If you are of Aminos, don't go for a lover, or, if you are going to cheat your husband, at least have adultery with a "person".But not so.The queen abandoned the dragon bed, and ran through the woods like a dancing goddess excited by the god of Avonia. How many times has she cast that envious look on a cow, and said, "Why should my beloved please? See how she dances in the meadow before her! Surely the fool The earth thought it would be more lovely that way." And at once she ordered the cow to be led out of the herd, or to bow her head under the yoke, or to lay her dead on the ground of a dishonest sacrifice. under the altar; and with joy she took the heart of her rival in her hands. She killed her rivals many times, presumably to appease the wrath of the gods, and took their hearts and said: "Now go and entertain my lover!" Sometimes she would like to be Europa, sometimes she envied Io's Destiny: Because one is a cow, and the other because she was carried on her back by a bull. But seduced by the image of a wooden cow, the king of the herd impregnates Pasiphae, and the fruit she brings reveals her shameful initiative. If that other Cretan woman would not have loved Thyestes (how hard it is for a woman to love a man!), one would not have seen Phibus stop in his midway , turned his chariot, and steered his horse eastward. The daughter of Nisuth, in order to cut off her father's glorious hair, was transformed into a monster with many vicious dogs around his waist. The son of Atreus, who escaped Mars on earth and Neptune by sea, was at last the unfortunate victim of her wife.Who has not shed tears on the flames of Glauc, who loves Ferra, and on the blood-stained mother who killed her own child?Phonyx son of Amintor lamented the loss of his eyes.Steeds of Hippolytus, in your horror, break your master's body to pieces!Phineus, why do you goug out the eyes of your innocent children? That retribution will be repeated upon you. Such is the unbridled passionate debauchery of lovers: hotter and wilder than ours.Be brave and go into battle with a winning heart.Among a thousand women, not even one can resist you.Let them tolerate it or refuse it, they always like others to offer; even if you are rejected, this kind of failure is not in danger for you.But how can you be rejected?A man often finds joy in new intoxications: what is other people's is always better than our own.The harvest in the other family's fields always feels extraordinarily plentiful, and the neighbor's herds are always extraordinarily fat. You are the first to make acquaintance with the handmaid of the woman you are courting: she is the one who gives you the door.To find out, indeed, whether her mistress fully trusts her, and whether she is a loyal accomplice in her mistress's secret pleasures.Wishes and entreaties are all necessary in order to buy her; then she will give you whatever you ask for.All for her pleasure. She would choose a favorable time (doctors watch out for it too); a time when her mistress was easy to talk, when she was most seduced. At that moment, everything smiled at her, and joy shone in her eyes, as Jinsui did in Toyota. When the heart is joyful, when it is not bound by sorrow, it opens; then Venus slips softly in.It was a happy day when Ilyon was in distress, and his armies were against the armies of Greece, when the wooden horse that hid the warriors entered the city. You should choose the time when she weeps when she is insulted by her opponent, so that she can ask you to be her revenge. In the morning, while she was having her hair cut, the maid offended her.For you, she took advantage of this to sail and paddle, and whispered, while sighing: "I don't believe you will be able to distinguish between gratitude and hatred." So she talked about you, she said a heartwarming word for you, she said You will die for love. But you should act hastily, lest the wind die and the sails fall.Anger is like thin ice, it is digested as soon as you look forward to it.You're going to ask me: Is it useful to win the maid's favor first? This approach is very accidental. Some maids use this method to make her more enthusiastic to help you, but some are not enthusiastic: one takes care of her mistress's kindness for you, but another keeps you for her own benefit. The bold prosper: even if this saying will help your courage, in my opinion: it is good to avoid it.Because I don't look for my way to the cliff. Those who ask me to be their guide will not go astray. But when the maid passes letters, her beauty is no less attractive than her enthusiasm, you must first get the mistress; the maid will naturally come later; but your love should not begin with her.Only one advice, if you have any confidence in my lessons, if my words are not blown into the sea by the wind, don't risk it, or you have to make it through.Once the maid has half of the affair, she won't betray you.A bird with lichen on its wings cannot fly far; a wild boar struggles in vain in the net that encloses it; once a fish is hooked, it cannot escape. That which you have teased, you need to press quickly and not let go until you are victorious. But you have to hide it well!If you keep your intelligence well hidden from your handmaidens, nothing your lover does will be a mystery to you. birth of venus Those who believe that only farmers and sailors should care about timing are making a great mistake. To attack a beauty all day long is no more reliable than to sow year round in a field that deceives us, or to launch a boat from time to time into a blue sea.Waiting for a good opportunity, people are often well achieved. If you rejoice on her birthday, or the day that Venus rejoices to follow her love Mars in the almanac, when the amphitheater is no longer adorned with statuettes as it was, but with the spoils of defeated kings, you It has to stop. Then came the dreary winter, then came the Baileyades, and then the gentle goat sank into the ocean. That is a good time to rest, whoever goes to sea without his ability will destroy his ship, and even his life will be in danger. To the day when so many tears were shed, the Aria was stained red with the blood of the Latins, or the Sabbath celebrated weekly by the Syrians at Palestines. You have to be very careful about your friend's birthday, and you have to treat those days when you have to give gifts as taboo days. It's vain for you to escape, she'll get some of your presents: a woman is always good at the art of collecting her passionate lover's money.A merchant in robes will come to your lover's house, she is always ready to buy, and he will spread out his wares before you as you sit.So she, to give you a chance to show your taste, asks you to look at it for her, after which she gives you a few sweet kisses; then she begs you to buy some. She'd swear it's been enough for her for years; and today she's getting it; today's an opportunity. It is useless for you to say that you do not have money with you: she will ask you to issue a ticket, and then you will regret that you are literate. What about when she's packing a treat for a gift from you, as if for a birthday—and that birthday is made every time she needs something? What happens when she assumes something is missing and comes to her sadly, complaining that she has lost a jewel in her ear?Lovers are always asking you for things, which they say will be returned to you soon; but once they are in their hands, you will never want them to return you.Even though you have suffered such a great loss, others do not appreciate you at all. First write a gentle brief post on a few polished boards to explore the way.Let this first letter let her know how you feel.Written with courteous eulogies and affectionate words; and never mind your position, you add the humblest entreaty. The reason why Hector's body was returned to Priam was that the old man's plea moved Achilles' heart. The wrath of the gods is moved by the soft voice.Promise, promise; it's worth nothing; anyone is permissible. That hope, when faith is added to it, endures: it is a deceitful goddess, but useful. If you give your lover some presents, you will find no bargain: she will have nothing to lose if she cheats on you.You always have to look like you're about to give her something, but never give her.So often does the unhealthy field deceive its master's hopes; so does the gambler keep pumping out in the hope of never losing again, while chance chance tempts his greedy hand. The most difficult point, that delicate work, is to be favored by beauty without a gift: so, in order not to waste the value of what she offers, she cannot refuse.Send out this brief post full of tenderness, to explore her heart, to open a way.A few words written on the apple deceived the Chidipé, so that the ignorant maiden was bound by her own words as she read it aloud. Study of beautiful women, young Romans, I admonish you not only for the protection of the trembling accused: as the people, the stern judges, and the senators elected from among the people, so women are subject to eloquence. But you have to hide your method of seduction very well, and don't reveal your babbling all at once.Do not use any pedantic phrases.Who but a fool writes to his lover with the tone of an orator?A bombastic letter is often the cause of a distaste.Your style should be natural, and your words and sentences should be simple, but tactful, so that when others read your letter, they seem to hear your voice. If she rejects your post and sends it back to you without even looking at it, you hope she will read it, and you have to follow through. The unruly calf is used to driving the plow after all, and the stubborn horse is restrained by the bridle after a long time. After constant friction, an iron ring will still wear out, and continue to scratch the ground, and the curved plowshare will eventually wear out.Is there anything harder than stone and softer than water? But the soft water dripped through the solid stone.Even that Penelope, if you stick to it, she will yield to you in time.Bergamos held for a long time, but was finally captured. For example, if she reads your letter but does not want to answer you, that is her freedom. You just have to keep her reading your love letters.Since she is willing to read, she will soon be willing to answer.Everything came in order. You may first get a letter back that doesn't go well, in which she asks you to stop pursuing.Just when she's begging you to leave her alone, she's terrified that you'll follow through, and wants you to follow through. Pursue, and soon you will get your wish. If when you meet your lover lying on her When you were in the cot, you walked by, as if by chance; and, lest your words be overheard by an unwary person, you conveyed your meaning with ambiguous gestures as best you could. If she walks under a wide vault, you should go up and walk with her.Sometimes he walked in front of her, sometimes behind her; sometimes he stepped faster, sometimes slower.Don't you be shy about stepping out of the crowd, from pillar to pillar, to cling to her.Don't let her sit alone in the theater: there, her bare arms will be an emotional spectacle. There, you can gaze at her, admire her leisurely, and you can gesture to her and make eyebrows and eyes.Applause to the mime player who plays the girl; more applause to the lover who plays the role. She stands up, you stand up; she sits, you sit still; you must know how to spend your time according to your lover's mood. Zeus and Io But don't burn your hair with a hot iron, or rub your skin with a pumice stone.Let these things be done by the priests who hum in Phrygian rites to the goddess of Mount Pelaius.A kind of unadorned beauty is suitable for men: when Minos' daughter was taken away by Theseus, Theseus did not pin his hair to his sideburns.Hippolytus was loved by Phaedra despite his unadorned appearance.Adonis, the wild guest of the forest, finally got the heart of a goddess. You must love cleanliness; don't be afraid to tan your skin by exercising at Mars Field; keep your toga in good shape and free from stains.Don't leave a little tongue coating on your tongue, don't leave a little tartar on your teeth.Put not shoes that are too large for your feet; let not your badly cut hair stand upon your head; but hire a skilled hand to trim your hair and beard; let your nails be neatly cut Well and clean, in nostrils let no nose hair show; let not that foul breath come out of a stinking mouth, beware of the ram's stinky smell. The rest of the grooming, you let those young Mei Niang or those men who unnaturally seek a man's attachment to do it. But here Liber calls his poet, who also protects lovers and blesses those loves which he himself burns. The children of Naxos wandered frantically on the deserted beach, where the isle of Dia was washed by the waves. She just came out of sleep, wearing only a thin skirt, her ankles exposed, her brown hair fluttering wildly on her shoulders, crying to the voice of Theseus to the wave that could not hear her. Cruel, and tears were overflowing on the delicate face of the poor girl. She cries and cries, but both cries and cries are worthy of her; her tears make her more charming. The unfortunate man patted his chest and said: "The wicked man has deserted me; what shall I do?" There was also the sound of drumming with hands. She frightened, and her voice stopped; she was unconscious. Here comes the shaggy-haired Mymalonides; here comes the swift Satyrus, heralds of the gods; On the mane of the donkey below, it almost fell off. When he was chasing the dancing gods who were escaping from him, and when the clumsy knight hit the long-eared beast with a wooden club, it suddenly slipped and fell headlong. Those slayers shouted: "Hey, get up, old man, get up!" At that time the god sat on the chariot entwined with vines, and drove the tame tiger with a golden leash. The maiden lost the color, the memory of Theseus, and the voice at the same time. How pitiful! People's hearts are different, each as its face.
