If you claim that he is obedient because you have cared for him, he will think you are preemptive, and will understand that you mean that your nurturing of him is a debt, in a contract he never signed. The contract kidnapped him.It doesn't matter if you say that everything you ask him to do is for his own good, because anyway, you're asking for something he never agreed to.You would think it unjust, too, if a down-on-his-luck man accepted money pretended to be offered to him, and accidentally found out that his name was on the draft roll for it, without knowing it, and you would think it injustice. Wouldn't it be more unfair to demand obedience from your students for reasons, even affection, that your students don't receive?
