When you try to persuade your students to obey, your persuasion is mixed with coercion, threats, and perhaps worse, flattery and bribery. Therefore, they are either lured by interests or coerced by violence, but pretend to be persuaded by reason. They are as quick as you to discover the advantages of obedience and the disadvantages of rebellion. However, it's not always pleasant to do what others want, and everything you ask them to do is unpleasant to them. Therefore, they learned to hide in order to act according to their own will, thinking that as long as they are not discovered, they are not at fault, and if they are discovered, they will admit their mistakes to avoid suffering. At their age, they do not understand the principle of responsibility, and no one in the world can make them understand it.However, the fear of punishment, the hope of being forgiven, the repeated coercion, the unanswerable questioning, the endless demands of their confession, the thought that you have convinced them, when in fact you can only tire them or scare them.
