Home Categories Chinese history Don't laugh, this is the official history of the Qing Dynasty 2. Fighting the world
Speaking of Kangxi's expedition to Russia now, it is a disgraceful thing, and it is really unbearable to mention it. How is it an embarrassment? You know, in this battle, Kangxi mobilized all the troops in northern China to fight a few homeless people in Russia. As long as we mention the comparison of strength in this war, we will be able to make it clear. In this campaign, the Qing army, excluding the backup and supply troops, counted only the combat soldiers involved, a total of 18,000 people. The number of troops on the Russian side was 826 bums. Let's look at weapons. For the Qing army, 150 field artillery pieces and 40 siege artillery pieces were invested.

On the Russian side, there are 654 Mausers and 18 short guns. Judging from the ratio of the number of people, more than 20 people on the Qing court beat a tramp violently; from the perspective of weapons and equipment, the Qing court almost used a cannon to a Mauser. If you don't want to win this battle, it is definitely not something ordinary people can do. Therefore, the Qing army's expedition to Yaksa has become extremely boring due to the lack of suspense. In fact, this war is nothing more than a military diplomacy. Moreover, this military diplomacy was achieved through Kangxi's unimaginably huge concessions.

During the Sino-Russian negotiations, the Qing court unprincipledly gave up the de facto border with Nerchinsk as the Sino-Russian border, but voluntarily retreated to the Ergun River. So much land area was sacrificed that the negotiating minister sent by the tsar almost breathed a sigh of relief because of excessive excitement. Because the Czar took advantage of the huge advantage and got 240,000 square kilometers of land for nothing, he was overly excited, but Kangxi's side was also a very cost-effective deal. Where is this bargain? Galdan! There are more than three million square kilometers of land in this guy's hands, which one is more important?

All wars, no matter how they are fought, are in essence nothing more than a transaction. Historians and all patriots gave Kangxi unlimited support in this matter.Because after the signing of the treaty between China and Russia, Golovin, the Russian governor of Siberia who had a close personal relationship with Galdan, was immediately transferred away, and the checkpoints on the Russian border received orders to prohibit the export of arms to Galdan. Galdan has been placed in an extremely dangerous situation. Just at such a juncture, the living Buddha Yiraguk III, who was in charge of Buddhist affairs in Beijing, came to Galdan and conveyed to him the edict of the fifth "Dalai Lama", ordering him to immediately raise troops and force Kangxi to hand over Tuxietu Khan and Jebtsundamba Living Buddha.

At such a juncture, even if Galdan had a little bit of foresight, he would have heard that this "sacred decree" was obviously wrong. Galdan is indeed not short of mind. He just doesn't have enough eyes. This sealed his ultimate fate. March of the twenty-ninth year of Kangxi (1690).
