Chapter 12 postscript

"Records of Strange Cases in Ming and Qing Dynasties" was published in the 1980s.After the publication of this book, it has attracted widespread attention.Yanshan Publishing House and Foreign Languages Publishing House successively printed it four times, and then translated it into foreign versions in English, German, and Western languages, and distributed it overseas. The reprint in newspapers and periodicals and the adaptation in film and television have been favored by all walks of life. For more than 20 years, many friends have praised and encouraged this book, and I am deeply moved by the love for readers.

Since last year, several publishers have asked me to make some revisions to this book, and he will publish a quintessential version with a better format and less corruption than 20 years ago. However, due to busy work, although I am grateful for their kindness, I have not been able to revise it. In January of this year, I had a little more time, so I had the opportunity to reread the old manuscript. After carefully reviewing the published editions, I found that the edition more than 20 years ago was overcrowded in layout and dense in fonts, which made it inconvenient to read. From this, I feel that it is necessary to revise, review and republish. So I re-examined some historical materials, carefully reviewed the original book, corrected a few typos, and corrected typos in the original version, making it a more complete manuscript than the original.

Li Shuxi, the president of Guangming Daily Publishing House, is my close friend. After reading the whole book, he encouraged me a lot. With the help of Mr. Li, he sent the publishing house to re-typeset the design, making it clear and beautiful, and adding artistry. On the occasion of the reprint of this book, I would like to express my sincere sincerity to the readers who care about this book and the friends who support this book. Although I have been studying history for more than 20 years, after all, I have little talent and learning, and mistakes in the book are inevitable. I have deeply learned scholars from all walks of life, and I will not hesitate to give them advice to make this book more perfect. I would like to thank you in advance.
