Chapter 34 Brief chronology of major events in this book

In 618 A.D., Li Yuan proclaimed himself emperor and established the Tang Dynasty; Emperor Sui Yang was killed and Sui died. In 621 AD, Li Shimin pacified the Eastern Capital. In 626 A.D., Emperor Taizong came to the throne after the Xuanwumen Incident. In 630 AD, the Tang Dynasty destroyed the Eastern Turks.The emperors of all ethnic groups respectfully called Tang Taizong "Tian Khan". In 649 AD, Emperor Taizong died and Emperor Gaozong ascended the throne. In 655 AD, Emperor Gaozong of Tang Dynasty named Wu Zetian as empress. In 660 AD, Wu Zetian began to get involved in politics.

In 683 AD, Tang Gaozong died, and Wu Zetian came to court.Tang Zhongzong Li Xian was deposed as King of Luling, and Yu Wang Li Dan ascended the throne as Tang Ruizong. In 690 AD, Wu Zetian proclaimed himself emperor and changed the name of the country to Zhou. In 705 AD, Wu Zetian abdicated and died in the same year.Tang Zhongzong Li Xian was restored. In 724 AD, the Empress Wang of Tang Xuanzong was abolished. In 733 AD, Li Linfu became prime minister. In 737 AD, Concubine Wu Hui died. In 740 AD, Yang Yuhuan entered the palace. In 752 AD, Li Linfu died and Yang Guozhong became prime minister. In 755 AD, An Lushan rebelled, and Yan Gaoqing and Yan Zhenqing sent troops to resist. In 756 A.D., there was a mutiny at Mawei Station.Tang Suzong ascended the throne. In 757 AD, Zhang Xun and Xu Yuan guarded Suiyang; Guo Ziyi and others recovered Chang'an and Luoyang. In 761 AD, Wang Wei died. In 762 AD, Tang Xuanzong died.In the same year, Tang Suzong died.Li Bai died.

In 763 AD, the Anshi Rebellion ended. In 770 AD, the poet Du Fu died.
