Chapter 18 Chapter Fourteen Who Is the Master and Who Is the Guest——The Story of Lu Long's Rebellion

...here again. The unknowable and irresistible force led Mr. Liu, Lulong Jiedu envoy, to walk in a remote and unfamiliar space until he walked into a quiet noon many years ago. At that time, there, the extremely brilliant noon sun was divided into pieces by the cracks in the father's sleeping tent. The flakes of sunlight, as well as countless fine dust flying in the sunlight, filled the entire space.Every speck of floating dust is an unreasonable babble whispering in his ears. The various granular sounds are integrated into a moor like a piece. In the dimness, Mr. Liu saw a person with his back to the couch secretly mixing a handful of powder into a bowl. The white powder quickly melted into the white buttermilk and became invisible. The man turned around tremblingly, walked to the couch, and handed the bowl to his father Liu Ji.Liu Ji with a sickly face was reclining weakly on the couch, like a half dead tree, lying there without any activity. He wanted to reach out for the bowl. However, the hands that were handed over were shaking so badly that several drops of buttermilk splashed into the palms of my hands.Liu Ji raised his head in surprise, but didn't say anything.

What a haggard, sickly face it was. Mr. Liu saw his father Yu Si's face so vividly, with deep wrinkles engraved on his shriveled face.It had been a long, long time since he had looked at his father up close. But he is familiar with these wrinkles, just as he is familiar with the palm lines on his own hands.According to legend, when his father was born, the room was filled with darkness. The midwife and maidservant suddenly saw a giant snake coiled in the black air, hissing and spitting snake letters like will-o'-the-wisp.Amidst the screams, a baby fell to the ground. That is Liu Ji.This hero reincarnated from a long snake was once full of vigor and power, but now he is tortured by illness and worries.

A pair of eyes that had almost lost the brilliance of life were staring at Mr. Liu with doubts—his heart tightened suddenly: the person who poisoned the buttermilk with his back turned to his father, the person who handed the bowl to his father, It is himself! There is no record of what happened after that.Only the blood stains on the skirt of the robe, like clusters of scarlet durian flowers, blooming in the darkness without boundaries. Can't avoid it.The face that had been blurred for many years suddenly became clear again, and it became hideous—it was the face of his father who was twisted in pain after being poisoned, dangling in front of, behind, above his head, and under Mr. Liu, like an ancient bell in Xiaosi Temple. , in the wooden swaying, swaying, swaying reveals a blindly detached and mundane indifference...

The same dream has been done dozens of times.A leaden nightmare firmly suppressed Mr. Liu in his sleep. Even when he was struggling in vain in sleep, he could clearly experience the suffocating weight of this nightmare. However, as soon as he closed his eyes, he returned to the noon when death was flying around many years ago. There was never a time when Mr. Liu didn't turn over with a shrill howl, and fell back from the terror in his dream to his never-warm bed.Still in shock, he sat down in the never-extinguishing candlelight. But the faltering flames couldn't bring him even the slightest bit of anger.A small cold snake swallowed a dark brown letter and swam silently along his spine, meandering through the densely packed ice-like sweat beads on his back, and finally coiled into a church in his heart. A circle of heart palpitations—the father, and the elder brother who was killed by him with a basswood stick, took revenge on him cruelly after death: erratic ghosts haunted and haunted Mr. Liu's dream after he closed his eyes. The night after opening my eyes is endless.

The torment of the nightmare made Lu Long Jiedu make Mr. Liu's remaining time lifeless. He didn't expect that the heinous crimes he committed in the fifth year of Yuanhe ruined the peace of the rest of his life forever. In the fifth year of Yuanhe, Li Chun (Tang Xianzong) crusade against Chengde Jiedu envoy Wang Chengzong for the first time. After receiving the edict from Chang'an, the surrounding towns rose up one after another.Lulong Town is adjacent to Chengde. After learning the news of Chang'an's conquest of Chengde, Liu Ji immediately summoned his generals to discuss the southern expedition to Chengde.Unexpectedly, the general Tan Zhong asserted on the spot that the emperor would never recruit Lu Long's army, and Chengde would not prevent Lu Long from going south. After hearing this, Liu Ji scolded on the spot: Why don't you just say that I colluded with Wang Chengzong and rebelled against the court!

In a rage, Liu Ji ordered people to throw Tan Zhong into the prison. Unexpectedly, the news that the scouts brought back to Youzhou proved what Tan Zhong said was true: on the border with Lulong, Chengde had no defenses at all.Chang'an's edict was also sent to Youzhou the next day, ordering Liu Ji to "specially protect the northern border" and not to go south. Surprised, Liu Ji released Tan Zhong from prison, wanting to ask for clarification.Tan Zhong told him that it was Zhaoyi Jiedu envoy Lu Congshi who was sowing discord. The villain at both ends of the first mouse wrote to the court, claiming that Lu Long and Cheng De had colluded with each other. The emperor misunderstood the slander and refused to let Lu Long send troops. In this way, Wang Chengzong avoided the dilemma of being attacked by Lu Longjun and the imperial army from the north to the south. The cunning Lu Congshi flattered Wang Chengzong and impressed the emperor with loyalty. But Liu Ji was in a dilemma-the emperor and the people of the world thought he was in collusion with Wang Chengzong; but Wang Chengzong only accepted Lu Congshi's love.

After listening to Tan Zhong's analysis, Liu Ji suddenly realized, and immediately marched south with an army of 70,000, to prove his loyalty to the emperor and the world. Before leaving, he appointed his eldest son Liu Wei as the deputy ambassador to stay in Youzhou. When the army went south to Yingzhou, Liu Ji fell ill.His second son, Liu, is always the governor of Yingzhou, so he naturally had to do his filial piety at his father's bedside.Mr. Liu has long been dissatisfied with serving as the governor of a state under his father and brother. But for many years, no matter how diligent he is, Liu Ji has always adhered to the dogma of establishing a family to grow up, and has no intention of changing course. The disappointed Mr. Liu secretly found his confidant...

Soon, a person falsely claiming to be from Chang'an came to Liu Ji's camp.He told Liu Ji that because Lu Long's army was sluggish and delayed the war opportunity, the imperial court had appointed his eldest son Liu Ji as Jiedu envoy. This is fake news full of flaws. But Liu Ji, who was sick, was in a daze, and remembered what Tan Zhong had said not long ago.It seems that the performance of beheading thousands of levels and sieging cities and villages in the past few months has not won the trust of the emperor. After cleaning up Xichuan Liu Pi, Xia Sui Yang Huilin and Zhexi Li Qi, is Li Chun going to attack him?It happened so fast and so suddenly.Liu Ji was in chaos, and he never thought that this was his son's conspiracy.

Under Mr. Liu's arrangement, new news reached his father the next day. This time, people told Liu Ji that the festival rewarded to Liu Ji had been sent to Taiyuan, and he would soon cross the Taihang Mountains and enter Hebei.Jingjie, which symbolizes the authority of Jiedushi, will legally give power to Liu Ji's eldest son.The news of Yishuai before the battle came one after another, and the whole army was terrified.Liu Ji was furious. He suspected that Liu Yu, who stayed behind in Youzhou, conspired with the imperial court to usurp his position while he was away. conspiracy! This is a conspiracy!

In Liu Ji's eyes, dozens of generals who have been close to Liu Fu are all participants in the conspiracy. They didn't know anything about the matter on the surface, but they were all grinning secretly, calculating, waiting to welcome the new Jiedu envoy Liu Wei.Liu Ji killed them frantically, leaving no one suspicious.Outside the camp, dozens of corpses were lying in disorder. However, that didn't stop the dire news from arriving on the third day.Liu Ji was disappointed to learn that the new banner issued to Liu Ji had passed Daizhou and was about to be sent to his barracks. All because of Liu Wei.The person who is supposed to replace him must be summoned immediately for interrogation.Mr. Liu lost no time in recommending his confidant to his father to stay in Youzhou instead of Liu Yu.

After receiving his father's order, Liu Yu handed over Youzhou without hesitation, and flew south to Yingzhou. Liu Wei is coming. The lie is about to be exposed. But Mr. Liu is not afraid. He knew that the time had come for the picture to show up.From the moment the fake news was released, he methodically proceeded to meet this final moment. When those who supported Liu Fu were executed one by one, and the order to recall Liu Fu was also sent to Youzhou, Mr. Liu knew that his father was no longer of any use.He couldn't let Liu Ji realize suddenly after seeing Liu Ji. On that sunny noon, Mr. Liu handed his father a bowl of buttermilk... At this time, Liu Yan and his party had just arrived in Zhuozhou. Before he could see his father in time, he fell into a pre-arranged trap.Liu Yan was told that his father was unwilling to listen to any explanation from him. When he was stunned, two ferocious executioners had already stood in front of him.Looking at the basswood stick, Liu Wei, who didn't know the inside story, closed his eyes in pain. After hearing that Liu Ji and Liu Yu's father and son died suddenly, Chang'an ordered Liu Zong to succeed him as Jiedu envoy. "New Book of Tang" says Mr. Liu is "a cunning thief, especially treacherous", and he is a very scheming person. He carefully concealed the truth of the matter, and pretended to be a fairly obedient courtier in front of the heroic Li Chun.Perhaps Chang'an was not ignorant of the tragedy outside Zhuozhou. However, Chengde still has the stubborn Wang Chengzong, Huaixi also has the arrogant Wu Yuanji, Ziqing also has Li Shidao who dared to send assassins into Chang'an to kill the prime minister... In this era of ghosts and monsters flying in the sky, the emperor really has no energy to pursue the truth of the past. Youyan's murder case also has no strength to lightly start a war against Lu Long while attacking Chengde and Huaixi. Not only did Mr. Liu not pay the price for his sins, but his official status soared, he was named the Duke of Chu, and he gradually became the inspector Sikong... Li Chun didn't expect that his son would follow Mr. Liu's example and show his father his white teeth in a few years. I imagined myself standing on the city wall of Youzhou, leaning on the battlements, watching owls flying up and down in the cold air at the southern foot of Yanshan Mountain. In the springs I described, those owls with or without feathers flew around against the gray background of the times from beginning to end.Li You (Tang Muzong) himself is an owl who rebelled against his father! In the Yuanhe Palace Change, he killed his father and opened a door to hell for himself. Not only Li You, but the entire dynasty will step by step towards the abyss of eternal doom. History will record Li You's nightmarish life, as well as Mr. Liu's nightmare of Lulong Jiedushi who committed the same crime as him. There are lingering memories and haunting ghosts in every nightmare—justice that cannot be administered by human beings is finally enforced by ghosts. Hundreds of monks hired with a lot of money replaced the armored warriors and formed a human wall around Mr. Liu.It seems that only they can protect Mr. Liu's creepy soul surrounded by ghosts.Even the sound of chanting scriptures could not relieve the murderer's nerves for a moment. The troubled and tortured Mr. Liu knew that it was time to give up.Everything in the world of mortals is tainted with bloody smell that cannot be washed away.If you can't wash it off, you have to give up.For penitents like Mr. Liu, the Chinese religion has long reserved a decent way out for them: Buddhism. The illogical Chinese religious teachings always allow a frivolous and casual attitude to replace deep reflection and repentance of real sins.In front of the mountain gate, all kinds of sinners lightly brush off the dust of the secular world on their robes, and they also shake off all their sins-"How many sad things in life, don't let them go to the empty gate."Putting on black clothes, they knocked on the wide and boundless mountain gate, entered the hall and entered the room, seeking spiritual comfort in front of the ancient Qingdeng Buddha. Chang'an received the memorial from Mr. Liu.He begged Li You to let him become a monk.He wants to exchange everything in his hands for a night of deep sleep. The eunuch in Chang'an brought Mr. Liu a purple monk's uniform, the talisman of the Tianping Jiedu envoy, and the edict appointing him as a servant. One patricide generously allowed another patricide to choose any of the three options: becoming a monk, becoming an official in another place, and entering the court for the elderly. However, before the edict was sent to Youzhou, Mr. Liu had already become a monk. The pale man couldn't wait to escape from the city surrounded by the undead. After hearing the news, Mr. Liu's mansion was surrounded by many soldiers. They wanted to keep Mr. Liu. In the eyes of Youzhou people, the retribution of ghosts is just a kind of illusory myth, and it is impossible for people to give up such a beautiful enjoyment in this world for it.They don't care about Mr. Liu's evil deed of killing his father and brother. What's this?Didn't An Lushan and Shi Siming, the spiritual idols of the three towns in Hebei, all die at the hands of their sons? After brutally killing several soldiers who prevented him from leaving, Mr. Liu rode alone and disappeared from our sight forever, leaving a long series of heavy hooves in the night. In the world of mortals, there is one Jiedu Envoy named Mr. Liu missing. In the Hongye Temple, there will be an extra Baihao monk named Dajue. Before retiring from the world, Mr. Liu had a comprehensive consideration of the political situation in Youzhou.According to his arrangement, Lulong Jiedushi's jurisdiction will be divided into three. Mr. Liu chose Xue Ping to manage the prefectures of Lingping, Ji, Gui, and Chan.He is the great-grandson of Xue Rengui, the legendary general who "fixed Tianshan with three arrows".Grandfather Xue Na was also a famous general in Weizhen West Frontier.Xue Ping is the real queen.More importantly, he has a very deep background in Heshuo. His father Xue Song is the historical prototype of the protagonist in the novel. When he was young, Xue Song was "heroic and heroic, unwilling to make profits, riding and shooting himself with physical strength", and defected to the tent of Anlu Mountain. In the rebel army, he was as famous as Tian Chengsi, Zhang Zhongzhi and other Hebei heroes, and he was a famous general.Unlike Xue Gang in the folk novel, Xue Song did not become the final winner. With the death of An Lushan and Shi Siming one after another, the rebel army that had lost its core fell apart, and the sun was dying, so Xue Song had no choice but to surrender to the court. However, anyway, the later Xue Song changed his old appearance, "sincerely serves his post, and has a good reputation", which is quite different from the arrogant and domineering Wei Bo Jiedu envoy Tian Chengsi. The legend of the Tang Dynasty tells the story of his confrontation with Tian Chengsi: At that time, Tian Chengsi of the leader Heshuo had always wanted to annex Xue Song's territory. On a moonless and starless night, Xue Song's servant Hongxiannv sneaked into Weizhou and stole a gold box from Tian Chengsi's bedroom without anyone noticing. After getting the gold box, Xue Song repaired a letter, attached the box to the letter and returned it to Tian Chengsi. The cunning Tian Chengsi certainly understood Xue Song's subtext: This time my people can enter your bedroom and take the gold box, and they can also take your head next time.Tian Chengsi had no choice but to temporarily dispel his ambition to covet Xiangxi. As the son of Xue Song, Xue Ping was very loyal to the court and had a long history with Heshuo.Let him manage Lingping, Ji, Gui, and Chan states, which can be said to be suitable for people and places. In Mr. Liu's plan, his wife Dang Jingzhao Yin Lu Shimei can serve as the observer envoy of Ying and Mozhou. As for the Youzhou headquarters, Mr. Liu recommended Zhang Hongjing, the envoy of Hedong Jiedu, to the emperor. Zhang Hongjing's grandfather was Zhang Jiazhen, a famous prime minister during the Kaiyuan period, and his father Zhang Yanshang was also a prime minister. When he was still a teenager, Zhang Hongjing, who was born in the Zanying family, was appreciated by many people for his extraordinary demeanor.Legend has it that one day, young Zhang Hongjing was traveling with Ma Sui, Li Baozhen, Lu Qi, Lu Zhi, and Li Fan, and met Prime Minister Du Hongjian.Du Hongjian, who is good at identifying talents, carefully looked at the juniors in front of him, and came to a conclusion: From now on, these energetic young people in front of him will all appear in the future. The poet Du Mu's grandfather, Du You, was a veteran of several dynasties, and he also admired Zhang Hongjing very much. He had long asserted that he would be the prime minister. When he was in Chang'an, Zhang Hongjing showed a simplicity and sophistication that his father could not match.Just as those old officials predicted, he will soon succeed his father and ancestors and become prime minister. This is what the poet extolled, "The family occupies the first peak of Zhongtiao".The Zhang family in Hedong was named "Three-phase Zhang family" for this reason.Zhang Hongjing's mother Miao was the daughter of Taishi Miao Jinqing. In "Tang Kingdom History Supplement", Li Zhaozhong said that the Miao family "is the most expensive woman in modern clothes, and there is no one like this".Just because her father, father-in-law, husband and son successively became prime ministers. What is even more admirable is that she ignored the objection of her husband Zhang Yanshang and chose Wei Gao, who was just a poor and humble scholar at that time, as her son-in-law.This wise choice made her well-developed network of relationships even bigger.Later, Wei Gao was granted the title of King and Taiwei of Nankang County, and Weizhen was in the southwest for more than 20 years. It is said that from then on, no one of the famous family dared to despise his poor son-in-law. In the 14th year of Yuanhe, Zhang Hongjing, who was then Minister of the Ministry of Officials, served as the Jiedu envoy of Xuanwu, and later transferred to the Jiedu envoy of Hedong. The former Xuanwu Jiedu envoy Han Hong severely punished and tyrannized the government, and the former Hedong Jiedu envoy Wang E was greedy for money, and the people of the two places complained a lot.But after Zhang Hongjing took office, he quickly won the hearts of the army and the people with his honesty, sincerity, tolerance and generosity. Hedong and Lulong are only separated by a mountain, Mr. Liu has long heard of Zhang Hongjing's reputation. He very much hoped that the former prime minister's elegant demeanor would exert a subtle influence on the rebellious Yanzhao warriors. Despite the above arrangements, the experience of living in Youzhou for many years still tells Mr. Liu that the unruly Lu Long will never bow to the court easily.Since the Tianbao period, it has been used to doing things on its own.In addition to dividing Lulong into three parts and selecting suitable candidates to lead the three regions, Mr. Liu also sent a domineering general like Zhu Kerong, who is known as the soldier and horse envoy, to Chang'an.This is another move he arranged to play: to separate the arrogant soldiers from the brave generals, and eliminate hidden dangers invisible. If those tough soldiers wanted to make waves, they couldn't find a suitable leader to serve as their leader. From Mr. Liu's heart, he also hopes that the imperial court will treat Zhu Kerong and others with courtesy. After the Anshi Rebellion, Hebei and Chang'an were like enemy countries, and they were very separated.Perhaps, Zhu Ke's integration into the DPRK gave the two sides a chance to reconcile. The gorgeous red and purple clothes will cover up the bloody memories brought to both sides by fighting on the battlefield in the past few decades.Chang'an can use high-ranking officials and generous salaries to win over heroes from Hebei, shorten the psychological distance between Chang'an and Hebei, and re-cultivate Hebei's sense of identity with Chang'an. We can't help but be impressed by the appropriateness and thoughtfulness of Mr. Liu's plan - this is the last good deed of a Xie Xiao.Behind him are Lu Long's tens of thousands of restless tiger and wolf troops and a not too bad situation. A few days later, people found Mr. Liu, no, the body of the monk Dajue in Dingzhou. When news of Dajue's death reached Chang'an, Zhu Kerong was once again trudging his way up the steps of the Zhengshitang under Zhongshumen. This former titan can't remember how many times he has been here. When he walked through the well-dressed civil servants with a dull face, he knew in his heart how different he was. They thought that a martial artist like Zhu Kerong was ignorant, stupid as a pig, and couldn't feel all this. But he actually has a very sensitive heart. In Youzhou, there is not so much red tape to cover up the contradictions between each other. All competition for survival is carried out in a bloody way.Today, you may be surrounded by fronts and backs, and you may be majestic, but tomorrow you may be cut to pieces because of a disagreement.Life and death are just moments.Zhu Kerong remains sensitive to hostility at all times. In Zhu Kerong's eyes, Chang'an is decadent, coquettish and bizarre. In the final analysis, he also looked down on the well-dressed people in Chang'an.Compared with You Yan's Jiu Jiu Wu Fu, they are so weak from body to soul, they have not been baptized by the wind and snow in the frontier. The unscrupulous young knight-errant in Beijing rides a five-flowered horse and a three-foot sword at his waist, but he only knows "clear songs and dances before falling flowers".The majestic city wall of Chang'an blocked the cold north wind for them, and also limited their vision, so that they could not see the magnificent scene of geese falling into the sky. But now, he, Zhu Kerong, has to bow down to the arrogant Chang'an bureaucrats cautiously, with smiling faces, hoping that they can give him an errand. On the eve of being sent to Chang'an, Mr. Liu vividly described the infinite prosperity of Chang'an to Zhu Kerong. Now, Zhu Kerong also has to admit that Chang'an has towering palaces and magnificent city walls that cannot be compared to Youzhou. But he is just a stranger living in it.Du Fu recalled his life in Jinghua and wrote:
Zhu Kerong can't express his feelings in verse. But the bitterness in my heart is no less than that of Du Fu.He has been detained in the capital for many months, and there is not much money left from Youzhou, but the courtesy that Mr. Liu described for him is still a mirror image.Zhu Kerong had to run around in Youye, begging for a job to make ends meet.Such a negligible hope was ruthlessly crushed. The high-ranking prime ministers prevaricated him coldly. In their view, Zhu Kerong is just a warrior who doesn't know a lot of Chinese characters. He doesn't understand the rules and regulations, and he doesn't have the necessary elements of fame and family status to get involved in Chang'an officialdom. There is no place for him in Chang'an. Today, when Zhu Kerong pushed open the door of the Political Affairs Hall without much hope, he found that the situation was different from the past. The prime ministers told the indifferent general in a cold tone: You can go back to Youzhou. Zhu Kerong was a little taken aback.Behind the indifferent expressions of the prime ministers, there was a kind of unconcealed relief.Zhang Hongjing, the new Jiedu envoy sent by the imperial court to Youzhou, has officially assumed his post, and there has been no disturbance or any disturbing signs. In the eyes of the prime ministers, with Zhang Hongjing taking over Youzhou, the problem has been solved: this feudal town that has been making waves for decades is submissive to the imperial court. It seems completely unnecessary to keep Zhu Kerong. These borders will be as rude and dishonest as barbarians. The chancellor did not at all regard them as serious colleagues, nor as opponents who had to be dealt with seriously. Come from there, go back there—Zhu Kerong was carelessly driven back to Youzhou like a lost dog. After leaving the Zhengshitang, Zhu Kerong went back to the lower place, packed his luggage briefly, walked through the neighborhood of Chang'an hungrily, and quietly walked out of the city. This is the last time he wandered the streets of Chang'an.At the moment when he stepped out of the Chunming Gate, a trace of regret flashed through Zhu Kerong's heart. "If you don't see the grandeur of the imperial residence, you will know the dignity of the emperor" - Chang'an is the most beautiful place in the world. But Zhu Kerong knew better that this beautiful city did not belong to him.In Chang'an's Luhuaixiangmo, he slowly developed a feeling of despair. Zhu Kerong's grandfather, Zhu Tao, understood this decades ago. At the end of the Anshi Rebellion, Xue Song, Tian Chengsi and other old Anshi generals divided up Heshuo.Youzhou belongs to Li Huaixian's territory. Both Zhu Tao and his elder brother Zhu Xi were partial generals under Li Huaixian's command.Together with Zhu Xicai, they murdered Li Huaixian. The imperial court sent former prime minister Wang Jin to replace Zhu Xicai. But it turns out that Youzhou simply cannot tolerate a bureaucrat from Chang'an.Three months later, Zhu Xicai drove Wang Jin away.He didn't stay in the position for long, either.Zhu Xi replaced him as the new Lulong Jiedushi. He sent his brother Zhu Tao to go to Chang'an with three thousand soldiers to participate in the autumn prevention in the west of Beijing. When the autumn is high and the horses are fat, the Hu people often invade the frontier, plundering the rich women and the crops that are about to be harvested. Therefore, whenever the golden wind blows, the imperial court will conscript all troops to attack the Hu cavalry who invaded the bandits-this is "anti-autumn".In the hundred years after the Anshi Rebellion, Tubo cut off the Hexi Corridor connecting Chang'an and Anxi.As the poem says: "Usually there are thousands of miles of borders in Anxi, but today the frontier defense is in Fengxiang."The Tang Dynasty had to prevent autumn in Fengxiang, a short distance from Chang'an, to prevent the Tubo people from driving straight in, burning, killing and looting. The Hebei Fanzhen surrendered to Chang'an on the surface, but never participated in the autumn defense.Youzhou dispatched three thousand troops this time for the first time, which made Tang Daizong (Li Yu) secretly happy, and specially summoned Zhu Tao.However, Zhu Tao knew very well that his world was not in Chang'an.For a general born in Hebei, it is difficult to do anything in Chang'an, which values family status and Jinshi background.Zhu Tao didn't want to pin his future on the emperor's temporary favor. After the end of the autumn defense, he left Chang'an without hesitation. After returning to Youzhou, the cunning Zhu Tao coaxed and lied to him, urging his elder brother Zhu Xi to also appreciate the scenery of the emperor's hometown at the foot of the emperor.Impressed by his brother's rhetoric, Zhu Xi went west to Chang'an with great interest. As soon as he walked away, Zhu Tao immediately found an excuse, killed more than 20 generals, and cut off his brother's wings.Knowing that Zhu Bian was in Chang'an, he had no choice but to acquiesce to this fact. For him, the best ending to return to Youzhou is to act as his brother's puppet. In view of this, Zhu Xi had to stay in Chang'an. Since then, the two brothers have embarked on different paths.Zhu Tao of Youzhou held great power and called the wind and rain. Together with Wang Wujun and Tian Yue, he usurped the throne and became the leader of the three towns in Hebei. The clouds in the sky have changed their shapes for Zhu Tao, who is infinitely beautiful. The famous general Ma Sui said bitterly that Baiyun was ignorant and dared to create auspicious omen for the rebels. But Zhu Xi was trapped in the shallows of Chang'an like a dragon out of water. The imperial court gave him an official rank, but not real power. In Chang'an, he had no subordinates, territory, relatives or political partners. This determines that Zhu Xi can only be frustrated in the temple. He later got involved in the Chang'an rebellion inexplicably, and finally died in the rebellion shamefully. The completely different experiences of grandfather and uncle are undoubtedly a great inspiration to Zhu Kerong. He quickly put his disappointment aside. The hunger and cold in front of him could not change Zhu Kerong's ambition, but only made him full of resentment towards Chang'an and the people in Chang'an city.Li Bai's sentence "Laughing up to the sky and going out, how can I be a fluffy person in my generation" may be the best portrayal of Zhu Kerong at this time.Walking out of the gate of Chang'an City Wall, I imagined that this ragged Youzhou warrior would face the long road to the east and the long sky at the end of the long road, and let out a long and sharp howl... The whole process can only be summed up in four clichéd but appropriate words: Zonghuguishan. Like Zhu Kerong, the new Zhang Hongjing also came to Youzhou, which he was not familiar with and could not adapt to. After Zhu Kerong's uncle and grandfather killed Li Huaixian, the imperial court appointed Wang Jin, who had served as a prime minister, to succeed Lu Longjie. degree to make.He was a descendant of the well-known Taiyuan Wang family and the brother of the poet Wang Wei.But Wang Jin was quickly pushed out.Except for Wang Jin's short three months, only Zhang Hongjing was not born in Youzhou and became its leader-this is the first case in nearly a hundred years and the only case in two hundred years. Under the surprised eyes of the Youzhou people, Zhang Hongjing sat on his shoulders and entered Youzhou City. This is a majestic city with nine miles from north to south, seven miles from east to west, and ten gates. Like a fierce tiger at the southern foot of Yanshan Mountain, it opens its huge mouth to the sky, and blows in the wind from all directions. The Yongji Canal dug by Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty and the 3,000-mile Royal Road that started in Yulin converge here, forming a channel that radiates in all directions with Youzhou as the center. As the eastern edge of Huma's southward route, Youzhou has an incomparably unique position "with Hutuo in the front and easy water in the back, with mountains and fertile fields stretching thousands of miles".During the Kaiyuan period, the imperial court set up ten Jiedu envoys on its long border. There are only 490,000 elite soldiers in the ten towns. The Fanyang Jiedu Envoy (later renamed Lulong Jiedu Envoy) stationed in Youzhou had 91,400 people, the most among all towns. An Lushan, a mixed race of Hu and Turks, took this as his lair and swung his south finger, trying to overthrow the Chang'an dynasty in one fell swoop. According to Yao Runeng's records in "The Deeds of Anlu Mountain", during the Anshi Rebellion, the rebels "took Fanyang (Youzhou) as Yanjing,... set up Tianhua and other gates, the Shuyamen Building as Tingzheng Building, and Jiedu Hall as Ziwei temple".Therefore, Youzhou is the epitome of Huhua Hebei, the core of the separatist forces, the source of the rebellion, and the first city outside Chang'an. But in the eyes of Zhang Hongjing on the shoulder, Youzhou is just a deserted city on the border. The road has pits and hurdles, which are suitable for horses and hooves, but not for exquisitely decorated incense cars; the houses are simple, and the Jiedu Hall, which was once called the Ziwei Temple during the rebellion, cannot compete with Chang'an or even those luxurious ones in Taiyuan. Compared with the palace yamen. The only thing worth seeing is the majestic Jibei Tower.Compared with Chunming Gate and Yanxia Gate in Chang'an, the skeletons of tall buildings in Youzhou are magnificent but rough. What Zhang Hongjing couldn't get used to even more were the people from Youzhou. When Jianyu passed slowly through the path flashed by the crowd of onlookers, he could clearly feel that there was a disturbing light in the countless gazes.surprised?hostility?Yes, all right, but not quite right.People in Chang'an, Taiyuan, Bianzhou, and even other places outside of Hebei do not have such sharp eyes. They would not stare at their parents so unscrupulously. That is not advocated by Confucian etiquette, and it is also not allowed by the court law.If it was in Chang'an, Jing Zhaoyin, who suppressed the local area, would have used a long whip to disperse the onlookers with such gazes. What made Zhang Hongjing more uncomfortable was the contempt for legal authority and hierarchy contained in his presumptuous eyes. This is true for the little people at the bottom, let alone the soldiers, horses and vanguards who are sitting on heavy troops. When Jiu Jiu warriors lined up to visit the new Jiedushi, what Zhang Hongjing saw was rough behavior, what he heard was noisy human voices, and what he felt was frustration.Rough palms and rough faces formed his impression of Youzhou people.Everyone is so different from those elegant talents and descendants of prominent families in Chang'an! Facing the iron horse Shuofeng's Yanshan Pass, Zhang Hongjing was "thinking of Chang'an at this time of year, when a hundred flowers bloom in the deep alleys of Zhumen".He sincerely missed the scenery of Chang'an "covered with crowns" and the young and golden hairpin guests with green temples. The haggard feeling of being in a foreign country is like smoke and mist, lingering in the heart, and it is difficult to dispel for a long time. This made it impossible for Zhang Hongjing to enter the state quickly like he did in Bianzhou and Taiyuan. When inspecting the military camp, receiving generals, and other tedious government affairs, he asked his staff to show up, and he only showed up in the Jiedu Hall for about ten days. The ascension to the board of directors once every ten days is also hasty, more like a ceremony that has to be perfunctory. In this way, Zhang Hongjing can avoid contact with those rude generals as much as possible. Most of the time, he would rather lock himself in the mansion alone, flip through books, and write. Zhang Hongjing's grandfather, Zhang Jiazhen, was a collector of calligraphy and painting, and his own big characters "are not because of learning from others, but they are majestic in nature".His father, Zhang Yanshang, is also good at calligraphy and painting, and he is known as "Miaohe Zhong (Zhong Yao) Zhang (Zhang Huaiguan), with ancient ink marks".Zhang Hongjing himself has "three changes in calligraphy style, which is called by the times".Only in this small space, can Zhang Hongjing find a long-lost elegant atmosphere from the famous brushes and inks hanging on the four walls and the shelves full of scrolls—— A closed door separated Zhang Hongjing and Youzhou into two worlds. Youzhou people were surprised by Zhang Hongjing's performance. In Heshuo, power is associated with force, not procedure. In the desert, toughness is the only basis for power. For many years, the Jiedu envoys of the three towns in Hebei were supported and deposed by the army, and the imperial court had little say in personnel replacement. Taking Youzhou as an example, Li Huaixian, the first Jiedu envoy after the Anshi Rebellion, died at the hands of brothers Zhu Xicai and Zhu Xi.Tang Daizong (Li Yu) wanted Prime Minister Wang Jin to be the Jiedu envoy, with Zhu Xicai as the deputy Jiedu. But Wang Jin became familiar with the unspoken rules of power in Youzhou in three months, and wisely gave up the position of Jiedushi to Zhu Xicai, rewarded the army by himself, and then returned to Chang'an.Unruly Zhu Xicai forgot that the basis of her power is the support of her subordinates, so her arrogance and lawlessness made the people of Youzhou unbearable, and she was killed by her subordinates soon.People all recommend Zhu Xi as the queen.Zhu Tao later replaced him. After Zhu Tao died of illness, the army promoted Liu Pang as Jiedu envoy.Because when he acted as an agent for the Jiedu Mansion, he won the hearts of the soldiers.Liu Tong died of illness after only three months in office. His son Liu Ji took over as Jiedushi under the support of everyone—— This is also a kind of "democracy", an alternative democracy that votes with knives and guns instead of paper slips. Therefore, Jiedu envoys must mingle with their subordinates.Like the Hu people, the Youzhou people agree with a relatively simple way of life, and they do not deliberately emphasize their rank through details of life such as clothing, carriages and horses. They have become accustomed to Jiedushi who smelled of sweat and smell like them, a Jiedushi who stood up on the battlefield and danced with spears and clubs, and a Jiedushi who looked no different from them in appearance. Jiedushi. But the Zhang Hongjing in front of them has a graceful and solemn demeanor, a lofty and arrogant look in his eyes, and a reclusive demeanor—he is incompatible with Youzhou, and even the whole of Hebei. The judge Zhang Hongjing relied on most was Wei Yong. His history is not recorded in the history books. However, the fact that Zhang Hongjing, who had been in officialdom for a long time, favored this "young and frivolous man" and appointed him a judge showed that he probably had a superior family background. Most of Zhang Hongjing's shogunate were descendants of aristocratic families.Li Deyu, who is famous all over the world, was once his aide. The surname Wei is most expensive in the south of Chang'an City, and "Yong" is the ancient name of Guanzhong.I guess, Wei Yong is very likely to be born in the noble "Jingzhao Webster". If it was in Bianzhou or Taiyuan, Zhang Hongjing would definitely not indulge his staff like this. However, in Youzhou, a border town where Hu Feng was prevalent, he felt unbearably lonely. There were no elegant gentry or great bureaucrats living in the countryside to pay homage to Zhang Hongjing's poems; there were no celebrities and talented scholars who passed by to talk about Chang'an scenery and Luoyang anecdotes to relieve him of the depression in his career.Only these aides in front of me can be talked about.Speaking of which, Zhang Hongjing is also a descendant of Youzhou's old surname. His ancestor Zhang Zizha served in the Sui Dynasty and served as the prime minister of Hedong County all his life. The Zhang family moved from his hometown of Youzhou to the Yi family of Puzhou, Hedong. To Zhang Hongjing, it is already the seventh generation. Therefore, the history books say that Zhang Hongjing was born in Hedong. For him, this native place only marks the space where his ancestors once lived.Zhang Hongjing himself spent most of his life in Chang'an and Luoyang. Therefore, he can completely regard himself as a native of Chang'an. No matter how different personalities are between the reckless Wei Yong and the elegant Zhang Hongjing, they both come from Chang'an, have a common cultural background and common topics, and the same is true in their contempt for the people and customs of Youzhou. It's just that one is more restrained, while the other doesn't know how to hide it.
