Chapter 14 Two, kill three birds with one stone

The enfeoffment of the princes was first of all to deal with the remnants of the Yin and Shang Dynasties. Encapsulation includes encapsulation and encapsulation. It was the territory of the Shang Dynasty that was divided, and it was his brothers who were granted the title.Of course, this is first of all to deal with the remnants of the Shang Dynasty. These guys are still alive, their hearts are not dead, and it is impossible to kill them.Massacres are the most stupid, not in line with the "people-oriented" principle, but will also arouse more civil uprisings and rebellions. The feasible way is to divide and disintegrate, so that they can't form a climate, and they can't form a group.Just imagine, if an aircraft is disassembled, the engine, cockpit, landing gear, wings and tail are all placed in different places, can it still fly?

That's what Zhou Zheng did. The "engine" of Yin Shang was put in Luoyang, which is also known as "Cheng Zhou".The people who migrated here from Chaoge (now Qi County, Henan Province), the capital of Yin, were mainly the royal families of the Yin and Shang Dynasties and scholars who served the royal family.Since this is Zhou's eastern capital, it is equal to being arranged under Zhou's nose. The troops of the king of Shang were also reorganized into the so-called "Eight Divisions of Yin" and became the garrison troops of Cheng Zhou, which was equivalent to the "watchdog" of the Zhou people.

The "cockpit" of Yin Shang was placed in Shangqiu, the old capital of Yin.Here, the Zhou people established a new country, which is the Song State mentioned earlier. This group of people, of course, also migrated from Chaoge. However, after the nobles of Yin and Shang moved to Luoyang and Shangqiu, Zhou Gong did not turn Chaoge into an empty city, but gave his young brother Kang Shuji the title and established Weiguo.Uncle Kang not only got the Chaoge, but also assigned to the seven tribes of the Yin and Shang Dynasties. They were basically technical talents, including professional households who made pottery, flags, fences, and cast iron pots. This is tantamount to holding Yin Shang's "landing gear" in his hands.

This is really a "national game of chess". Among the Yin and Shang tribes were Zhou Gong's son Bo Qin, Cheng Wang's younger brother Tang Shu Ji Yu, and Zhao Gong's son Ji Ke.Boqin was divided into six tribes, and Shuyu was divided into nine tribes. This is documented.Ji Ke is also divided into six clans, but not all are descendants of the Yin and Shang Dynasties. There is evidence of this. They also took these ethnic groups away from home to build a new country.Boqin's country name is Lu, in today's Shandong; Shuyu's country name is Tang (later called Jin), in today's Shanxi; Ji Ke's country name is Yan, in today's Beijing.

Zhou Gong's move is quite powerful. In fact, the "nation" of Yin and Shang was originally composed of four relationships: blood, geography, industry, and country. The blood relationship organization is "clan", the geographical organization is "Yi", the industry organization is "clan", and the national organization is "surname".To put it bluntly, it is a family that only engages in one industry from generation to generation; people in the same industry live together in the same place and intermarry from generation to generation. The same kind of "clan" (industry), living in the same "yi" (region), became a "clan".The gathering of clans constitutes a "country".Now, the Duke of Zhou has moved all these clans (industries) to another town (region). Can the "country" of Yin Shang still exist?

It can only be broken into pieces. Moreover, the Yin-Shang clan that belonged to Uncle Kang and was taken away by Boqin, Shuyu, and Jike could only integrate into Zhou people's society and become a new "nation".Perhaps, they would be called "Wei people" or "Lu people" later, but they were all "Zhou people" before the Spring and Autumn Period. This is already quite clever, not to mention more than that. In fact, the intentions of establishing Song and Wei were different from those of Lu, Jin, and Yan.The establishment of Song Dynasty and Fengwei was all to deal with Yin Jian, but Song was Huairou to appease, and Wei was to monitor and reform, so it was only "close-range defense".The three teams of Boqin, Shuyu, and Jike were "colonizing from a distance".And wherever they go, they are important points. For example, Jin and Yan are close to Rong and Di, and they are actually Ji Zhou's frontier defense. No wonder later generations would say that Duke Zhou's distribution of the feudal lords was "throwing a fence" for Emperor Zhou.

The location of the State of Lu is Dongyi's old den. Therefore, not only the son of Duke Zhou should be allowed to establish the country there, but also Jiang Taigong Lu Wang should be allowed to establish the country of Qi.This is really wonderful, it is almost equivalent to the United States (Ji family) and Britain (Jiang family) running to Russia (Dongyi) to establish a colony after World War II, although they are both anti-fascist (Yin Shang). Undoubtedly, the great achievements of Duke Yi and Duke Zhao must have been enshrined during the time of King Wu.But King Wu was "initially entrusted", and the land was close; Zhou Gong was "transferred", and the land was far away.In fact, the Marquis of Qi, the Marquis of Lu and the Marquis of Yan are all equivalent to the governors sent by the British king, but Qi, Lu and Yan cannot be called "overseas colonies", but must be called "domestic colonies".The far-sightedness in it leaves us with infinite room for imagination.

In short, Zhou Gong succeeded. He disintegrated the stubborn forces of Yin, controlled strategically important places, and rewarded the heroes and allies. Didn't he kill three birds with one stone and kill three birds with one stone? What is political wisdom? This is.
