When the country is ruined and the family is destroyed, war is no longer just a matter for men.And women often suffer more than men, because they often become the spoils of war and the playthings of the enemy. In the second year of Jingkang (1127), the Jin army escorted more than 3,000 people including Hui, Emperor Qin, concubines, princes, princesses, clan nobles, and ministers to the north.Among them, women accounted for a large proportion. The more famous ones were Song Huizong's Empress Zheng, Song Qinzong's Empress Zhu, Song Gaozong's biological mother Wei, Song Gaozong's first wife Xing, and Roufu Emperor Ji who became famous because of the counterfeit case.

Here we should especially mention Song Huizong Empress Zheng.Empress Zheng was the second empress of Song Huizong Zhao Ji. She entered the palace when she was young, and she was originally a maid beside the Empress Dowager Xiang. When Zhao Ji was still King Duan, he often went to visit the Queen Mother, so he paid attention to Zheng. The queen mother simply gave the Zheng family to Zhao Ji.After Zheng became a queen, she seldom participated in politics and strictly restrained her natal family, which brought unexpected benefits to her natal family in the future. When the Jin army broke through Bianjing and escorted the royal family and ministers to the north, Empress Zheng pleaded with Wanyan Zonghan (Nianhan), the commander of the Jin army, and said: "The concubine is guilty. Stay!" Wanyan Zonghan agreed, so Empress Zheng's father, Zheng Shen, survived.

When this large group of captives went north, it was the fourth month of the lunar calendar, and the north was still very cold. The clothes of Song Huizong, Song Qinzong, Song Huizong's empress Zheng, and Song Qinzong's empress Zhu were very thin, and they were often too cold to sleep at night. Find some firewood and thatch to burn for warmth.Women become captives, and the humiliation they suffer is self-evident.Empress Zhu was twenty-six years old at the time, gorgeous and colorful, and was often molested by Jin Bing.On the way to the north, Empress Zhu was also forced to sing for Jin Jun, and faced the danger of being insulted several times. Most of these once-prominent aristocratic women did not have the courage to commit suicide. In order to survive, they would rather submit to it and endure all kinds of insults.

After the captives arrived in the Kingdom of Jin, the Jin people held a prisoner offering ceremony, ordering Emperors Hui and Qin and their concubines, clans, kings, sons-in-law, and princesses to wear the clothes worn by the people of the Jin people, wrap their heads in handkerchiefs, and wear Goat fur, with the upper body exposed, went to the Aguda Temple of the Jin Dynasty to perform the "sheep-leading ceremony".Empress Zhu couldn't bear such shame and humiliation, so she committed suicide that night. After the sacrifice of the captives, the male captives were divided into slaves. Each of them was given five buckets of weeds as rations every month, and he ate them himself. After the pounding, there were only one bucket and eight liters. In addition, each person is given five handfuls of hemp every year, so that they can weave their own hemp for clothing. These people are the princes and grandchildren and dignitaries in the court. They are pampered and pampered on weekdays. They don't know how to weave linen for clothing. Therefore, many people have no clothes to wear and spend their days naked all year round. The weather in the north is cold, and the captives are sometimes unbearably cold, so they brave the extreme cold, go out to collect firewood, and come back to use firewood to warm the fire. As a result, the ears, nose, fingers and toes often fall off on their own under the freezing and heat, and the pain is unbearable. can bear. Many people died of poisonous hairs due to flesh ulceration.

The female captives were dealt with individually, and more than 50 famous concubines and princesses were handed over to the emperor of the Kingdom of Jin to assign them personally.None of these women can escape the fate of being abused. Roufu Emperor Ji, nicknamed Huanhuan, is the tenth daughter of Emperor Huizong of Song Dynasty. Her biological mother is the beloved concubine Wang Guifei.Generally speaking, the emperor's daughter is called a princess. In the third year of Zhenghe (1113) of the Northern Song Dynasty, because of Cai Jing's suggestion, the Song court followed the title of "Wang Ji" in the Zhou Dynasty and announced that all "princess" should be called "Emperor Ji".This system lasted for more than ten years, and it was not until the early Southern Song Dynasty that the old system was restored.

Roufu Diji was only seventeen years old when she was taken captive to the north. She was the oldest princess among Song Huizong's unleashed princesses. Jin Bing therefore attached great importance to her and planned to present this virgin princess to Jin Taizong.According to some unofficial historical records, on the way to the north, Roufu Diji was inevitably humiliated, and the golden general who insulted her was brutally killed for arbitrarily taking the woman left for the emperor. After arriving in the Kingdom of Jin, Empress Roufu was solemnly dedicated to Emperor Jin Taizong of the Kingdom of Jin as a concubine.Maybe Roufu Diji is not very beautiful, maybe she is weak after being bullied many times, or maybe she is not good at flattering and offended Jin Taizong, in short, Jin Taizong didn't have any interest in her, but directly She was sent to Shangjing Huanyiyuan as a slave.

This place called "Huanyiyuan" is actually an official brothel for Jin people to have fun.In addition to Roufu Emperor Ji, Zhao Gou's first wife Xing Bingyi and Zhao Gou's biological mother Wei Shi also served as slaves in Huanyiyuan, serving as tools for the Jin people to vent their sexual desires. "Moaning Language" records: "Concubines, concubines, concubines, concubines, concubines, concubines, concubines, concubines, imperial concubines, and clan women all show their upper body and wear sheep fur." It can be seen how tragically insulted these noble women in the past were, even worse than the official prostitutes of the Jin Kingdom. However, after Zhao Gou ascended the throne as Song Gaozong, Webster's status became special, so she quickly left Huanyiyuan and was transferred to Wuguo City, where she was imprisoned with her husband Song Huizong.

After Zhao Gou ascended the throne as Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty, he also named his original wife Xing Bingyi as the queen, and appointed 25 members of the Xing family as officials and nobles. However, the false title of queen cannot change Xing Bingyi's tragic fate. When Cao Xun, a courtier sent by Emperor Huizong of Song Dynasty, returned to the south, Xing Bingyi took off the gold ring and handed it to Cao Xun, saying: "Fortunately, I am the White King (the name for the prince in the Song Dynasty, here refers to Zhao Gou, Emperor Gaozong of Song Dynasty), and I hope to have this ring so that we can meet soon. "It's a pity that her husband is a cowardly and incompetent emperor who just wants to keep his own wealth. In the ninth year of Shaoxing (1139), Xing Bingyi died in endless torture and humiliation at the age of thirty-four.The Jin people deliberately concealed the news of Xing Bingyi's death. After Emperor Gaozong of Song Dynasty named Xing Bingyi as the queen, because he didn't know that Xing Bingyi was dead, he never made another queen. The middle palace was vacant for sixteen years. It was not until Zhao Gou's biological mother Wei Shi returned to China that Song Gaozong was informed of the truth, and Song Gaozong made his favorite concubine Wu Shi the queen.

After several years of humiliating life in Huanyiyuan, Roufu Diji was acquired by King Gaitian Wanyan Zongxian.Wanyan Zongxian didn't have much interest in Roufu Diji, but he didn't insult her too much. Instead, he chose a man named Xu Huan from the Han people who were placed in Wuguo City, and married Roufu Diji to her. He, Roufu Diji, had ended his life in the "Huanyiyuan" as a human being.Roufu Diji died in the eleventh year of Shaoxing (1141), when she was only thirty-one years old.According to the records in "Song History Princess Biography": "Roufu was in Wuguo City, and he died when Xu returned. Roufu died in Shaoxing for eleven years. Those who came from Zigong came with their bones, buried them, and granted them peace. The princess of the country." This is the trace left by the real Roufu Diji in history-like all the women when the country was ruined and the family was destroyed, it was a victim of the incompetence of the men.

Just when Roufu Diji was being humiliated in the north, a Roufu Diji suddenly appeared in the Central Plains. In the fourth year of Emperor Gaozong Jianyan in the Southern Song Dynasty (1130), when the Song officials and army suppressed the bandits, a woman among the captive bandit family claimed to be Roufu Diji.Roufu Diji was the emperor's younger sister, so she was immediately sent to Lin'an.The woman claimed to have escaped from the Kingdom of Jin and experienced hardships during the process. Song Gaozong did remember that Song Huizong had a princess named Huanhuan, who was born to the royal concubine and was named Roufu Emperor Ji.But after being away for many years, he couldn't remember the face and figure of the princess clearly, so he ordered the old maid to check. All the old maids felt that this woman was indeed very similar to the Empress Roufu in those days, and she could answer satisfactorily when interrogating her about the old affairs in the palace. There is only one doubtful thing, this woman has a pair of big feet, not like the slender feet of Roufu Diji.Regarding this doubt, the woman explained with tears streaming down her face: "The golden man chased away like cattle and sheep, escaped in time, ran here barefoot, and traveled thousands of miles, how can he still keep his slender feet as before?" "Helin Yulu" records: "When the emperor of Roufu arrived, he was suspicious. He frowned and said: "The golden people are driving, and they will travel thousands of miles. How can they return to their old ways. The above is compassionate."

Song Gaozong felt that it was reasonable, especially since the woman could call out Song Gaozong's baby name, so he no longer doubted it, and issued an edict to let her enter the palace and bestow the title of Princess Fuguo. He also chose Gao Shifu, the defense envoy of Yongzhou, as her son-in-law, and gave her a dowry of 18,000 coins.Since then, the favor has increased, and the rewards have reached 479,000 coins. After the Southern Song Dynasty signed the "Shaoxing Peace Agreement" with the Kingdom of Jin, Emperor Gaozong's biological mother, Concubine Wei Gui, was released by the Kingdom of Jin.Mother and son reunited, weeping with joy. After Wei Guifei returned to the court, she was honored as "Empress Dowager Xianren" by Emperor Gaozong of Song Dynasty. After returning to the country, Queen Mother Wei heard about Roufu Emperor Ji, and she couldn't help being surprised and said: "Roufu has died of illness in the Kingdom of Jin, so why is there another Roufu?" Song Gaozong talked about Roufu's escape from Jin.Empress Dowager Wei said: "The Jin people are laughing at you! They said that you bought Yanzi by mistake, and the real Roufu is already dead." Yanzi means fake.At that time, there was a street in Kaifeng City called Yanjiaxiang. There was a pine lacquer shop in the street, which sold all kinds of utensils made of paper. But because it is made of paper, it cannot be used for a long time after buying it back, so people at that time called it "Yanzi", which later evolved into a synonym for fakes. Song Gaozong was furious after hearing what his mother said, and immediately arrested Emperor Ji Roufu, and handed it over to Dali Temple for interrogation. Under torture, the fake Princess Roufu could not be denied, so she had to confess one by one. It turned out that she was originally a wandering woman from Bianjing named Jingshan, and she was quite beautiful. After the fall of Bianjing, she was plundered to the north by the rebels. On the way, I met a court lady named Zhang Xi'er.Zhang Xi'er used to serve in the palace of Wang Guifei (the birth mother of Roufu Emperor Ji), and knew many secrets of the palace, and told Jing Shan all of them, especially that Jingshan's appearance and temperament were exactly like Roufu Emperor Ji.Jingshan was very tempted by this coincidence, so she began to pay attention to remembering all kinds of palace secrets, and deliberately imitated the princess form Zhang Xier said. After that, Jingshan experienced twists and turns during the war. She was kidnapped and sold three times, and finally was captured by the bandit Chen Zhong and forced to marry a small bandit. When Song Guanjun suppressed the bandits, he captured Jingshan and planned to kill her in the name of bandit family members. In order to survive, Jingshan claims that she is Roufu Diji.Seeing Jingshan's demeanor, Song Guanjun was really frightened, so he sent her to Lin'an.After Jingshan successfully deceived Song Gaozong, she gained more than ten years of wealth.Unexpectedly, people are not as good as heaven, Empress Dowager Wei returned to the capital and revealed the matter, Jingshan could no longer hide it, so she had to confess honestly. After Song Gaozong knew that Roufu Diji was indeed a fake, he ordered the fake princess to be beheaded in Dongshi. The most unlucky one was Gao Shifu, who first married Empress Roufu by decree, and because Empress Roufu was falsely deprived of the title of captain consort, he was ridiculed by people and said: "Always a captain, just like the birth of Maitreya. At this time, I go to the human world, and then go to the place where the Tathagata eats porridge." Before, the eunuch Feng Yi had testified that Roufu Emperor Ji was true, so he was also implicated. "Song History · Eunuch Biography · Feng Yi" records: "Firstly, when the false Roufu Emperor Ji came, she claimed to be the concubine and concubine's concubine, and Yi said that she was in the concubine's concubine. So I told the truth. When I realized it, I sat down and checked it was not true, so I sent it to Zhaozhou for editorial management, so as to find a marriage with the empress dowager." Although the fake Roufu Emperor Ji was killed, there are many rumors among the people, and there are many people who feel wronged by it.At that time, some historians believed that the Roufu Emperor Ji who was killed was actually a real princess. The reason why it was exposed was because Song Gaozong’s biological mother, Queen Mother Wei, was worried that Roufu Emperor Ji would tell her that she was abused and ruined in the North after she returned from the north. All kinds of scandals, so he threatened Song Gaozong to kill Roufu Diji to silence him.Song Gaozong didn't have any feelings for Roufu Diji, and he sacrificed Roufu Diji according to his mother's strict orders. Notes such as "Four Dynasties Wenjianlu" and "Suiguo Essays" all record such statements. And the strong evidence is: when Roufu Emperor Ji first came to seek refuge, many old Sun Palace people and eunuch Feng Yi concluded that the princess was real. People never dare to talk nonsense. And these people changed their words one after another, and the princess admitted that she was a fake, because of the torture. Probably influenced by the legend of Rou Fu Di Ji's return to Beijing, in the second year of Shaoxing (1122), two years after Rou Fu Di Ji returned to the palace, there was an incident of Rong De Di Ji's fake princess. The general story is that a businessman's wife surnamed Yi came to the palace to recognize her relatives by pretending to be Song Qinzong's sister and Song Huizong's daughter Empress Rongde because she was greedy for wealth.Rongde Emperor Ji Xiaozi Jinnu was the first to be named Princess Yongqing and then Princess Rongfu. Song Huizong followed Cai Jing's suggestion and changed "Princess" to "Emperor Ji" and then named her Emperor Rongde.Empress Rongde was born to the first queen of Song Huizong, Wang, and was the oldest among Song Huizong's children. Before the fall of the Northern Song Dynasty, she had married Cao Sheng, the general of the left guard, and was later taken captive to the Kingdom of Jin.Later, the Yi family of this fake princess was quite attractive. When the Jin army went south, the whole family fled south and lost their husband on the way.At this time of turmoil, Yi accidentally ran into the former bodyguard of Empress Rongde.During the chat, Yi learned about Empress Rongde's appearance and behavior, as well as some deep palace secrets, from these people. After arriving in the south, Yi Shi heard the story of Roufu Diji.Envious of the royal honor, she even thought of the idea of pretending to be a princess, so she came to the small court of the Southern Song Dynasty, claiming to be the escaped Concubine Rongde.Song Gaozong didn't know this half-sister Rongde Diji, so he simply copied the gourd and sent the old palace maid to check the authenticity, but the result showed his flaws.Song Gaozong ordered her to be sent to Dali Temple for interrogation. After the truth came out, Yi Shi was beaten to death with a random stick. Jin soldiers invaded the Central Plains, and the common people endured far more disasters than the royal family. Countless families were ruined and displaced, and many beautiful folk women were also taken captive to the north. experience is typical. The daughter of Jiang Xingzu, a native of Yixing, Changzhou (now part of Jiangsu). His father, Jiang Xingzu, served as Yang Wuling in Jingkang. When the Jin soldiers invaded, Jiang Xingzu, his wife and eldest son died, and his daughter was taken captive to the north. On the way, the daughter of Jiang Xingzu wrote a poem at Xiongzhou Station:
The upper que of the poem says that he was taken captive to the north, and he traveled day and night, suffering all kinds of hardships. The places he passed were looted by war, desolate, dilapidated, and desolate, and it was even rare for pedestrians to rest.Xia Que uses the freedom of "Feihong" to fly south to contrast the pain of being exiled to the north. In the helplessness of his body, he is farther and farther away from his hometown, expressing the sorrow of not being able to return. The style of Ci is gloomy and sad, reflecting a kind of suffering of the times.
