Wang Zhaoxiang (1909-2009) was born in Shenmu, Shaanxi.Joined the Communist Party of China in 1928. In 1932, he joined the Shaanxi-Gansu guerrillas of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army as a soldier.After the Shaanxi-Gansu guerrillas were reorganized into the Red 26th Army, they served as soldiers, guard captains, party branch secretary, and regiment party committee members. On June 17, 1933, he went south with the Second Regiment of the Red Twenty-sixth Army.After the troops failed to disperse, he once held an enlarged meeting of the regiment party committee with Liu Zhidan, Wang Shitai, and Huang Ziwen.Study with comrades from the Weinan County Party Committee on the issue of fighting guerrillas and establishing base areas in the Weinan area.Has been following Liu Zhidan, Wang Shitai and others to struggle in the Qinling Mountains.Relying on digging manure for others, hoeing, begging for food, and staying in a ruined temple, he rushed from the Qinling Mountains in the south to Sanyuan Xinzi District, and healed his foot injuries through the responsible comrades of the district committee, and disguised himself as a carpenter.Only then did I return to Xuejiazhai, the base of the Zhaojin Revolution.Later, he returned to the northern Shaanxi base to serve as the leader of the guerrilla team in Shenshi County, and the head of the third independent regiment of the Northern Shaanxi Red Army led by Xie Zichang.

In 1935, he served as the head of the Shenfu Independent Division.During the War of Resistance Against Japan, he served as the head of the Sixth Regiment of the Eighth Route Army's rear guard and the commander of the Second Military Division of the Luzhong Military Region.Commander of the Fourth Military Division of the Bohai Navy Region.During the War of Liberation, he served as the commander of the 18th Division of the Sixth Column of the Northeast Democratic Alliance Army, the commander of the Fifth Military Division of the Liaobei Military Region, the commander of the 162nd Division of the 49th Army of the Northeast Field Army, and the commander of the Hengyang Military Division of the Hunan Military Region.After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he served as the deputy director and director of the Logistics Organization Department of the Logistics College of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, the senior class teacher of the Logistics College, Zhang Zhizhi of the Senior Engineering Corps School, the deputy dean and dean of the Engineering Corps College, and the consultant of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Engineer Corps.

He was awarded the rank of major general in 1955.He is a member of the Fifth and Sixth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and a representative of the Seventh National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Passed away in Beijing on June 3, 2009 at the age of 101.
