Chapter 10 Chapter Ten: The First Mysterious Case of the Republic of China

At ten o'clock in the evening on March 20, 1913, at the entrance of Shanghai Railway Station (Old North Station). Gunshots sounded!Song Jiaoren, who was about to go from Shanghai to Beijing, fell to the ground in pain. Looking around, I saw a black figure in the crowd fleeing desperately. Friends Huang Xing, Yu Youren and others who saw him off were shocked and rushed Song Jiaoren to the hospital.Song Jiaoren was shot in the back, the bullet penetrated obliquely to the waist, both the kidney and the large intestine were hit, and what was even more frightening was that the bullet was actually poisonous!

Assassination! There is no doubt that this is a well-planned political assassination, the purpose is to put Song Jiaoren to death. Knowing that his life was about to come to an end, Song Jiaoren endured the pain and groaned. He dictated the will to his friends Huang Xing and Yu Youren who accompanied him, saying that there were a few things that needed the help of his comrades. The first thing, Keqiang, you send a telegram to President Yuan Da, which can be regarded as my political will. The telegram said that I can't do it. I was shot by someone, but don't think of me. I hope that President Yuan will continue to follow the path of constitutional democracy such as parliamentary elections, sunny participation in politics, and fair competition.

The second thing is to donate all my books to the Nanjing Library.I don't have much money, my family is poor, and my old mother is still alive, so please friends like Keqiang to help me take care of my mother. The third thing, comrades must continue to fight to save the country, and don't give up responsibility because of me. A dying person, while enduring great pain, didn’t think about who killed him, and didn’t ask his comrades to avenge him. All he thought about was his loyal country, his beloved people, and his beloved. old mother. Although being loyal to the country and being filial to his mother cannot be taken into account at the same time, he still remains committed to his ideal of saving the country through constitutional government. What kind of mind and state is this!

To be honest, perhaps before this, Song Jiaoren gave people the impression that he was just a talented and passionate patriotic young man, a little edgy, not solid enough, with an exposed temperament and lack of city. All in all, he is more like a cadre of the student union, and a more suitable job is to organize everyone to participate in club activities, spread leaflets on the street, etc. He is definitely not considered a suitable candidate for a cabinet prime minister. But at the last moment of his life, he showed the world his tenacity, tolerance and dedication to the country. Such a person, even if he has such and other shortcomings, we should all give him a thumbs up.Because our China has never lacked smart politicians, hard-working doers, but pure patriots!

He fell at the most brilliant time, and he landed at the peak moment. His life was like a shooting star across the night sky. Although it was short, it burst out with dazzling brilliance. Life has an end, and the years have no end. On the afternoon of March 22, 32-year-old Song Jiaoren died of serious injuries. When he died, his eyes were closed, his fists were tightly clenched, and there were still tears in his eyes, which shows how much he loved this beautiful world. Nostalgia and reluctance. Song Jiaoren's death shook the world! Although the progress of human history always needs the blood and lives of martyrs to promote it, and it is not uncommon for political figures to be assassinated, but in the modern history of China, no one's death can have such a huge impact as Song Jiaoren.

His death directly led to the "Second Revolution" and blocked the peaceful development of the new democratic republic.Next, the country split into two governments, the North and the South. Sun Yat-sen and Huang Xing parted ways, warlords fought, countless "revolutions" of various names sprang up, and the country was in chaos for decades. It was not until 1928, when Chiang Kai-shek succeeded in the Northern Expedition and Zhang Xueliang changed his flag in the northeast, that the country was barely unified. His death made the ancient China, which could have been reborn, lose a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to transform into a democracy and a country ruled by law.

Therefore, for the "Assassination of the Song Dynasty Case", a historical event that changed the direction of Chinese history and the fate of countless people (it is also a major event known as the "First Case of the Republic of China" in history), it is necessary for us to spend a considerable amount of ink to figure out its ins and outs and the truth behind it. What is comforting is that the detection of the assassination of Song Jiaoren was very efficient and the case was solved quickly. Under the coordination and generous rewards of President Yuan Da and Jiangsu Governor Cheng Dequan, this time, the police station in the Shanghai Concession, which had never cracked a political assassination case, easily cracked the first shocking case of the Republic of China in just three days.

Briefly explain why such an important case should be investigated by the police in the concession. Because the suspect, Ying Guixin, lives in the Concession (No. 20 Xujiahui Road, Shanghai). In China, the concession is the product of unequal treaties. Foreigners have administrative autonomy and extraterritorial rights in the concession, and the Chinese are not allowed to interfere. Therefore, cases can only be adjudicated by the police in the concession. The topic returns to solving the case. According to the evidence presented by the patrol house and the research of Zhang Yaojie, a scholar who studied the Song Jiaoren case: Someone reported this case, and the person who reported the case was the Kuomintang members headed by Lu Huisheng, Zhang Xiuquan, and Deng Wenbin. They reported to the patrol room: Ying Guixin is the mastermind, Samurai Ying is the killer, and the antique dealer Wang Afa can testify. In order to prove that what they said was true, these people even "invited" Wang Ahfa over.

Wang Afa said that he was an antique calligraphy and painting dealer, and then slowly described the process of what happened. A week ago, when he went to sell calligraphy and paintings at the home of his old customer Ying Guixin, Ying Guixin offered to give 1,000 silver dollars to him to kill someone. He doesn't know how to do illegal things, so he didn't agree.Ying Guixin changed her words and said, how about you find a killer for me, and then showed him a photo and said that he would kill the person in the photo.Wang Afa thought about it for a while, but he was very principled and rejected the illegal business.

After the "Assassination of Song Dynasty" happened, he found that the photo of Song Jiaoren published in various newspapers was the same person in the photo that Ying Guixin showed him before, so he rushed to report the case. The people in the patrol room also felt that he was more credible after hearing what he said. Now that you have witnesses, let's act! Therefore, under the leadership of the Kuomintang, the arresting team first captured Mr. Ying Guixin at the house of a prostitute who often went to the grassroots mobile office, and then seized a gun in Ying Guixin's home - which was later confirmed to be the assassination of Teacher Song. Ren's murder weapon, and a batch of secret documents—mainly the secret telegrams between Ying Guixin, Hong Shuzu, and Zhao Bingjun.

At the same time, under Lu Huisheng's identification, the arresting team arrested a panting bad boy outside Ying Guixin's house. This bad boy was Samurai Ying.Wu Shiying explained why he threw himself into the trap in this way-a mysterious person told him to report to Ying Guixin's family. After Wu Shiying was arrested, he didn't say anything like "Sir, I was wronged", and confessed on the spot, admitting that Song Jiaoren was ordered by Ying Guixin to commit suicide. However, he retracted his confession in court a week later, saying that the case had nothing to do with Ying Guixin, and that he committed the assassination for the purpose of eliminating harm for the central government, leading suspicion to Yuan Shikai's government. Next, Samurai Ying died suddenly and inexplicably in prison. His arrest is a mystery, his confession is a mystery, and his death is even more a mystery. Later, Ying Guixin escaped from prison and was finally hacked to death by Yuan Shikai's men. One month after Ying Guixin's death, the suspect Zhao Bingjun also died. Although all the clues were interrupted, this did not affect the closing of the case at the police station in the Shanghai Concession. To make it easier for everyone to understand, here is a brief summary of the closing statement of the Concession Patrol House: Is it credible? To kill such an important person as Song Jiaoren, there would be such absurd plans and arrangements as child's play, and I despise Yuan Shikai and Zhao Bingjun, the ancestors of the Chinese police, too! Affected by this closing statement, today, a hundred years later, no matter whether it is official history, textbooks, or even novels, they all unanimously conclude that the mastermind behind it is Yuan Shikai. However, if we carefully examine the relevant historical materials, we will find that the direct evidence is obviously insufficient. And the most critical evidence of these official histories, unofficial histories, and novels is that President Yuan is a bad person. It seems that it is only natural for Yuan Shikai to do all kinds of bad things, as long as the shit bowl is put on Yuan Shikai's head, he will be right. To be honest, the political background of this case is very complicated, the case is also very bizarre, and there is a case in the case.Given the lack of judicial independence and the complicated political situation in Shanghai at that time, it was impossible to complete the important task of solving the case. Therefore, today, one hundred years later, let us look back on this first mysterious case in the Republic of China with a responsible attitude. However, if you want to find the truth of history through appearances, please forget the inherent conclusions in your mind, and only believe in motivation, reasonable logic and evidence-the evidence adopted below uses a large number of historical materials and sources, and the sources are not listed one by one. out. First, the witness "Fa Ge" Wang Ah was invited to court. The key witness in this case, "Brother Fa", Mr. Wang Afa is a criminal with unknown origin, because he could not provide valid identification.Although he claimed to be an antique dealer, according to investigations, this antique merchant was still selling insurance in Wuhan a few months ago.The range of career change is really great, a god-man. Leaving aside his identity, where he came from, and where he came from, just looking at his reaction in court, you can know that this is a "babysitter". There are two aspects of Wang Afa's performance that are difficult to justify. First, his relationship with Ying Guixin. When Wang Afa reported the case at the police station, he said that Ying Guixin was his regular customer, but when he confronted Ying Guixin in court, he said that he had only met Ying Guixin twice, and later said that he had only met Ying Guixin once. Second, the testimony is full of loopholes. When Wang Afa reported the case at the police station, he said that he went to Ying Guixin's home to sell calligraphy and paintings. Then the judge asked him what kind of calligraphy and painting he was selling, and he replied: it was Qiu Yingshi's series of landscapes, figures, and pine and bamboo. Now his feet are exposed—Chou Yingshi only paints figures, not landscapes, let alone pine and bamboo. The judge didn't give up, so he continued to ask: "Where did you buy your paintings?" Wang Afa replied: "I got it from Jue Lusheng of Dongqing Railway." Ying Guixin corrected loudly from the side: "There is only Tuo Lusheng on the Dongqing Railway, and he is lying!" In the following questions and answers, Wang Afa was even more inconsistent, and even confused how many times he had met Ying Guixin and when he had met her. From this point of view, it seems that the KMT is the screenwriter of this crime-solving drama, and has told the key supporting actor Wang Afa's lines and the next plot in advance. Unfortunately, the big-name actor Wang Afa performed too poorly on the spot and failed to act according to the script. If you think about it again: In just a few days, the witnesses ("Fage" who made the false testimony), the physical evidence (the secret telegram between Ying Guixin, Hong Shuzu, and Zhao Bingjun), and the criminals (Ying Guixin and Wu Shiying) were in the prison. With the help of the Kuomintang people, they have recovered one after another, so it can be confirmed that: the Kuomintang has grasped the conclusive evidence that Ying Guixin and Wu Shiying participated in the murder of Song Jiaoren in advance, and then "created" various clues, leading the process of solving the case.As for why the Kuomintang is so clear about the whole story of the assassination of Song, I will explain it in detail later. In other words, the clues may be false, but the criminal is absolutely true. In other words, although Wang Afa was fake, the other five suspects—Ying Guixin, Wu Shiying, Hong Shuzu, Zhao Bingjun, and Yuan Shikai—couldn't be fake.Since we are already familiar with Zhao Bingjun and Yuan Shikai, we won't introduce them any more. The other three will be invited to appear below. Ying Guixin, formerly known as Ying Kuicheng. This person is a rich second generation, but the hobby of this rich second generation is to be young and Dangerous. In his youth, he became the leader of the Shanghai Youth Gang by virtue of his courage and ruthlessness. Later, he met Chen Qimei who broke into the Youth Gang to tap the revolutionary power, and joined the Tongmenghui under the introduction of Comrade Qimei.Like all parties, Ying Guixin also led her brothers to support the revolution during the 1911 Revolution, fought against the Qing army, and even helped Chen Qimei snatch the post of Shanghai governor from Li Xiehe. After the incident, Chen Qimei reciprocated, and Ying Guixin became the intelligence director of the Shanghai Dudufu. After Sun Yat-sen returned from overseas, Chen Qimei recommended Ying Guixin to be the captain of Sun Yat-sen's guard. The country is easy to change, but the nature is hard to change.By Sun Yat-sen's side, Ying Guixin still kept mistresses and prostitutes, and gambling, drug abuse, corruption, bribery, and fights also occurred from time to time.Sun Yat-sen had no choice but to ask him to leave. When Ying Guixin was unemployed, it was the most fashionable time to form a party.Ying Guixin also found an opportunity from it, the best chance for the brothers to obtain legal status. Ying Guixin joined forces with three gangs in Shanghai to establish a political party organization called the "Chinese National Communist Party".With his status in the Youth Gang and Chen Qimei's relationship, this kid easily became the party leader (chairman). This "Gongjinhui" is a political party in name, but in essence it is just a means to cleanse the identity from black to white, and it is still a gang. Samurai Ying was originally named Wu Fuming.Once served as a soldier in Yunnan, he is very accurate with marksmanship, agile, and has the professionalism to become a killer. After the Revolution of 1911, the army was laid off, and he was one of the "laid-off" troops.Unemployed Samurai Ying came to Shanghai to make a living. Please note that Wu Shiying and Wang Afa who appeared earlier are both foreigners who have just arrived in Shanghai, have simple social relations, are poor, and are eager to make a fortune. In other words, this kind of person is easier to bully, no one cares about life and death, and is a good candidate to be a substitute for the dead ghost. Not long after he arrived in Shanghai, Wu Shiying met Chen Yusheng who came forward to pay for the murder.Chen Yusheng is the person in charge sent by Ying Guixin to find the killer. Ying Guixin is so powerful, why didn't she choose one of her younger brothers instead of going to a stranger like Wu Shiying? The answer is simple, easy to get away with. Ying Guixin later refused to admit in court that he ordered Wu Shiying to kill, and Wu Shiying could not explain the whereabouts of Chen Yusheng, the contact person in the middle. The sinful aura on his body faded a lot. Hong Shuzu, styled Yinzhi. Hong Shuzu had a son named Hong Shen, who was a great artist in New China. He also has a grandson named Sammo Hung, who was the boss of the Hong Kong entertainment industry in the 1980s. Of course, Hong Shuzu himself is not bad, he is also a descendant of a famous family, and his grandfather Hong Liangji was a famous scholar in the Qing Dynasty. Hong Shuzu was born in a famous family and should have a bright future, but his father feared that his son would suffer, so he relied on him no matter what, and got whatever he wanted. No one ever scolded him, let alone beat him.Hong Shuzu grew up in such an environment. He was not afraid of the sky and the earth. He could do whatever he wanted, and no one cared about him. This is normal. Even his father didn't care. This is how prodigal sons are made. What's more serious is that Hong Shuzu has an extraordinary IQ and is very smart. But the problem is, the smarter you are, the more you will lose money. Therefore, the common characteristics of prodigal sons such as profit-seeking and boldness have been carried forward by him to the point where he wants everything but his face and loves no one but himself, so that he has mixed up in the world of bad guys such as "yin people" and "Hong Shahou". strange name. Pick any two "bad guy stories" about this man that have been written into the history books, and you'll see his audacity and brazenness. The first one is that during the Sino-French War, Hong Shuzu, as a staff officer of Taiwan governor Liu Mingchuan, privately donated two sea rounds of arms from the Qing army to the French army. The price paid by the French was only two thousand taels of silver to bribe Hong Shuzu. The second thing is that when Zhang Zhidong was working under him, Hong Shuzu used his work to sell Chinese land to foreigners (colluding with foreigners to steal land titles) to earn benefits. Hong Shuzu did countless bad things, and his father wiped his ass countless times, but in the end, his father couldn't do it anymore, because no one dared to sell his face for his bad son. Hong Shuzu lost his job. The unemployed Hong Shuzu decided to harm Shanghai and look for new opportunities to make a fortune. In Shanghai, this kid continued to break pots and wrecks, made a living in illegal business, and became a well-known "Mr. Hong" in Shanghai. It was during this period that he met some members of the Youth Gang. After the Revolution of 1911, Hong Shuzu found a big backer——Zhao Bingjun through various relationships. It is said that his brother-in-law Zhao Fengchang had a good relationship with Zhao Bingjun. But regardless of nepotism or human dignity, in short, he became a national civil servant under Zhao Bingjun's command. In other words, before Zhao Bingjun hired people, didn't he consider a more scientific cadre selection and appointment mechanism such as open selection combined with competition for posts, and didn't he call Hong Shuzu's talent files for political review? This kind of talented but unvirtuous, profit-seeking person is a ticking time bomb, how can he be entrusted with such a heavy responsibility? Zhao Bingjun's level of employing people is really embarrassing, and he will definitely pay a heavy price for it. Please also remember: Hong Shuzu is a top-notch villain, a guy who will endanger society with intentional crimes.Only by understanding this can we be fully mentally prepared for what will happen next. It is said that after Mr. Hong Shuzu defected to Zhao Bingjun, he quickly made some contributions in the North-South negotiations after the Revolution of 1911 by virtue of his bad character and thick black expertise, and he secured his position as secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. But how did Hong Shuzu and Ying Guixin, two seemingly unrelated people, get connected? This also starts with the party. Since the only motivation for the party to participate in the revolution was to fight against the Qing Dynasty, after the end of the Qing Dynasty, they lost their motivation to move forward and started their own job: destroying social order. The timid ones in the party, the main social activities are greedy for petty gains. Not buying tickets for watching movies, evading fares by car, not giving money for eating, drinking, whoring and gambling are commonplace. When you are in a good mood, you molested women from good families, and when you were in a bad mood, you found a fight with someone, but that was over. And the bold ones are powerful, and the main social activity is lawlessness. They murdered and extorted goods, set up private courts, and executed punishments on behalf of officials. The destroyer of social order and the rebuilder of social order are natural enemies. The party that "destroys is far better than building", so it quickly transformed from a revolutionist to a revolutionary. The Revolutionary Party and the Constitutionalist Party jointly suppressed the Congregational Party, and the plan of overseas Hongmen to return to China to participate in politics due to their meritorious service came to an end. In Hunan, Jiao Dafeng, who was the leader of the Gelaohui and the Revolutionary Party of the Gongjinhui, was assassinated by the constitutionalists, and Tan Yankai, the leader of the constitutionalists, became the governor. In Sichuan, the Gelaohui was banned by the revolutionary army, and all the more than 200 public accounts were wiped out. In Shaanxi, most of the Gelaohui's army was reorganized by the constitutionalists, and Wan Bingnan, the leader of the Gelaohui, was killed. In Guangdong, the revolutionary army officially banned the Triad Society, the leader Xu Xueqiu and others were killed, and all the disciples were forcibly reorganized. The Triad Society, which made great contributions to the revolution, has since been reduced to a criminal organization in Hong Kong. In Shanghai, the person who dealt with the party, reorganized and rejected the Qinghong Gang was a familiar person—Song Jiaoren. Ying Guixin, as a senior member of the Youth Gang, will naturally stand up against Song Jiaoren, but his resistance is not to copy guys and fight Song Jiaoren desperately, but to set up a joint progress association - to reorganize the Youth Gang by himself, to wash his identity, and to use the law to protect himself And the younger brother under his command. Although Ying Guixin solved his identity problem, he did not let go of his hatred for the Kuomintang, especially Song Jiaoren's "ungrateful" after the success of the revolution. The seed of hatred sprouts here, and when the time is right, it will break through the ground and blossom and bear fruit. And the person who turned it into fruit was none other than Hong Shuzu. Yuan Shikai's government soon issued an order strictly prohibiting secret associations, and vigorously cracked down on them. And Ying Guixin happened to bump into President Yuan Da's knife edge. In the eyes of Yuan Shikai and Zhao Bingjun, Ying Guixin is a good choice to use: As a powerful gang leader, he is very close to the Kuomintang, and dares to form a party (Committee Association), not to punish you! To mention a little bit, Ying Guixin thought she died not fast enough, so she actually intervened in the struggle between Li Yuanhong and Zhang Zhenwu, two heroes of the 1911 Revolution, for power and profit.Naturally, Li Yuanhong was not a good person, he wanted Ying Guixin everywhere, and wanted to use the power of the government to show some color to Ying Guixin, who meddled in other people's affairs. In this context, Zhao Bingjun sent a commissioner to Shanghai to solve Ying Guixin's problem, and this person was Hong Shuzu. Why did you send Hong Shuzu here?It is probably because Zhao Bingjun took a fancy to Hong Shuzu's three "advantages" - vicious and cunning personality, defrauding people without paying for their lives, and having acquaintances in the Youth Gang. Hong Shuzu has a very wide network of contacts, not long after arriving in Shanghai, he contacted Ying Guixin. His way of dealing with Ying Guixin is still the old officialdom.Let's have a meal together first, then take a shower in the sauna and massage the condom. After the emotions blended, he said the intention of "Zhaoan".One of Ying Guixin's ideals in life is to pursue high officials and generous salaries. In addition to Hong Shuzu's coaxing and threats, he was appointed as an official and made a wish, and Ying Guixin accepted the government's "recruitment". Hong Shuzu and Ying Guixin also became brothers because of this friendship. When Hong Shuzu and Ying Guixin, two little people and big villains who seem to be ignored by no one, got in touch, Song Jiaoren's life seemed irretrievable. Next, Brother Hong fell happily under Brother Ying's sugar-coated shells represented by money-gold coins and delicious food-vibrant and fresh Shanghai hairy crabs.Naturally, the gift was not given in vain. Hong Shuzu, who took the benefits, not only helped Ying's younger brother get rid of Li Yuanhong's pressure, but also promised to apply for the post of inspector general dispatched by the Central Committee to Shanghai. The power of power-for-money transactions is indeed omnipresent. Thanks to the efforts of Hong Shuzu, a few months later, Mr. Ying Guixin rushed to Beijing to go through the entry procedures related to being the chief inspector of the central government in Shanghai. The chief inspector's main job is to collect intelligence, especially the movements of Sun Yat-sen, Huang Xing, Song Jiaoren, the core leaders of the Kuomintang, and Li Yuanhong from Wuhan. It is Ying Guixin's specialty to do such bad things. On January 14, 1913, Zhao Bingjun sent a letter to Ying Guixin and sent a "code book". To explain, the "encrypted electronic book" is not a patent for spies. It was a common practice at that time, whether it was done in political circles or private business.Because there are almost no dedicated lines, telegrams are basically processed by commercial post offices. In order to keep confidential, only code books can be used. And Zhao Bingjun sent Ying Guixin the "code book" is naturally a normal official behavior when going through the entry procedures for newcomers. The above letter was the only time Zhao Bingjun took the initiative to contact Ying Guixin. The content was that Zhao Bingjun asked Ying Guixin to send a telegram to the State Council directly in the future. In addition, Zhao Bingjun never issued instructions to Ying Guixin to carry out criminal activities.Of course, the suspicion that he was commanded by Hong Shuzu cannot be ruled out. After Ying Guixin gained the ability to listen to the sky, Song Jiaoren fell into bad luck.Because Ying Guixin, who had long wanted to take revenge on Song Jiaoren, decided to take the opportunity to exchange some money with Mr. Hong Shuzu, a gold-worshiping man with a strong desire to find money. If you don't believe me, please enjoy the following letters and telegrams. On February 1, 1913, Mr. Hong sent a letter to Mr. Ying, which said in a very cryptic way: Only by doing big projects can you make money. What kind of project can you get? One day later, Ying Guixin, who had a deep understanding of the boss's spirit, hatched a golden idea - the "rotten egg" plan. He planned to get the "scandal" of Sun Yat-sen, Huang Xing, and Song Jiaoren overseas, and then make it public. Destroy the reputation of the three (Sun, Huang, and Song Yushi have been purchased from Japan. Huang and his daughter have a group photo, and the police department provides criminal bills for copying the Song Dynasty...Compiled and printed 100,000 copies with photos, and plans to distribute them in Yokohama ). What is the benefit of Ying Guixin's proactive sabotage? Ying Guixin said: "Sun Yat-sen has planned to send someone to 'buy the ruins' at a price of 300,000 yuan, and although I do everything possible to obstruct it, but I only have 30,000 yuan in my pocket. If I want to buy these 'scandals', I will need the funds There is still a long way to go (after Sun Dexin, he asked Huang to send his surname Ma to Japan, bought and destroyed it with a lot of money, and asked for 300,000 yuan, and it was planned that Yang Xu Yinni got 30,000 yuan)." Ying Guixin's implication is obvious, how much the government should give me is up to you. Soon, Boss Hong wrote back to Brother Ying and said: "Premier Zhao has read your telegram, and then Premier Zhao asked me to present the telegram to President Yuan Da. The President was very happy after reading it, and praised you for your ability. Operate as soon as possible. Brother, I saw the needle and mentioned the matter of withdrawing money in front of President Yuan. The president meant that you should send Song Jiaoren's dirty materials first, and we will talk about it when we see the goods." If Hong Shuzu did not exaggerate, then this telegram is enough to prove that Yuan Shikai and Zhao Bingjun are still very interested in discrediting Song Jiaoren. The reason is not difficult to think of - democratic elections were being held in various places at that time, and discrediting Song Jiaoren could affect the KMT's votes. However, Hong Shuzu didn't fully trust Ying Guixin, a gangster from the Youth Gang. This is normal, both of them are equally insidious, despicable, and shameless, who can trust the other? On February 8, Boss Hong wrote for the first time to urge Brother Ying: Where do you get those black materials? Is it reliable or not?The central government has doubts about this! Three days later, Boss Hong wrote again to urge Brother Ying: Get the black materials and get the money as soon as possible. Half a month later, Boss Hong added another letter saying: "In the future, except for the official business related to the special inspector general stationed in Shanghai, you should not send telegrams to the State Council. There are too many people, and the confidentiality is not good. The boss has spoken, I will be solely responsible for contacting you in the future." From then on, Hong Shuzu became the person in charge of the liaison between the central government and Ying Guixin. During this period, he played up and down, which was Song Jiaoren's misfortune. In the second half of the letter, he half comforted and half urged Gui Xin to say: "It's not that I won't give you money, once you can produce black materials, the central government will definitely release the money, but the amount will not exceed 300,000 yuan. " Hong Shuzu urged Ying Guixin several times, but when the flowers all withered, he didn't wait for the black material of Ying Guixin, a charlatan. Hong Shuzu's life was very difficult. He boasted in front of the president and the prime minister, but he couldn't do the job. He was under a lot of pressure, and he felt very anxious. So, on March 6, Hong Shuzu wrote a letter of "work guidance" to Ying Guixin. Now I will translate the key meaning of this letter into the vernacular, and I will share it with you: As an aside, the meaning of the phrase "you can strike" is vague, but combined with Deng Jiayan's experience in prison and the reality that it is difficult to deal with it now, it cannot be ruled out that Hong Shuzu asked Ying Guixin to use force to deal with the target when the target has "dramatic actions". How does Ying Guixin feel after receiving this letter? Four days later, on March 10, Ying Guixin sent a telegram to Boss Hong: Please forward it to the Ministry of Finance and ask the government to sell me 3.5 million government bonds at a discount of 66% and an interest of 8%. This telegram seemed to appear too abruptly: Ying Guixin didn't mention the slanderous material, why did she raise the public debt? Public bonds are a kind of bonds issued by the national government, but this kind of bond is quite popular. The reason is that the government is eager to cash out, and bonds are generally sold as quickly as possible at the deepest discounts. When the debt is due to repay the principal, it is calculated on the basis of the face value plus interest. In other words, Ying Guixin wanted to take advantage of Boss Hong's background in the central government to arbitrage public debt and make a fortune. But what does this have to do with their plan to slander Song Jiaoren? Hong Shuzu was also dizzy, because the content of the telegram did not seem to be a reply to the "work guidance" (hereinafter referred to as "opinion") sent by himself. So he wrote to the other party: I don't understand what you mean, please explain to me in detail (the purpose is unknown, please forward the details). Before Ying Guixin could reply, on March 13, Hong Shuzu sent a crucial telegram to Ying Guixin: It has been handed over to the Minister of Finance for approval, and the repayment will be 6%. I am afraid that the discount will be large. The position is appropriate, and it is properly handled. Hong Shuzu told Ying Guixin that I have handed over the matter of the public debt to the Minister of Finance. It is estimated that the interest rate will not reach the 8% you mentioned, but only 6%. Moreover, the discount you asked for is relatively large. I am afraid that the Ministry of Finance will not pass it. audit. According to Mr. Hong Shuzu's performance a few days later, it can be inferred that he did not try his best to deal with the debt, or even did not deal with it at all.Of course, Hong Shuzu's behavior is also understandable: if you don't see a rabbit, you won't scatter an eagle. The black materials promised by Ying Guixin did not arrive, and Hong Shuzu lost a lot of face in front of the leaders. In the end, you Ying Guixin wanted to borrow Hong Shuzu's central background to buy public bonds at a low price to earn interest. How could it be so cheap! Therefore, Hong Shuzu hinted to Ying Guixin in the second half of the telegram: You can take advantage of it if you want, but you must have a more positive and clear expression-"destroy the honorary title of Song Dynasty". "Destroying the honorary title of the Song Dynasty" will be analyzed in depth below, so I won't say much for the time being. On the same day, that is, March 13, Ying Guixin sent a letter to Hong Shuzu. This is the most shameless criminal letter in modern history. The content of the letter can be divided into four parts. The first part has only one sentence: "The letter on the ninth day of March and the telegram on the 13th are all respectful. I will present them in detail later." This is to explain that the purpose of writing this letter is to reply to a letter-received on the ninth day of March The "opinion" written by Hong Shuzu on March 6 and a telegram - the telegram of "destroying the honor of the Song Dynasty" received on March 13. But why reply to "comments" in this letter? The secret should be hidden in the date "the ninth day of March" when Ying Guixin received the "opinion", but "the ninth day of March" is very confusing. It should not refer to the "ninth day of March" in the lunar calendar (April 15, 1913), but "The ninth day of March" is not like the Gregorian calendar. In any case, it may be that Ying Guixin received the "comment" after sending the telegram, or it may be that she received it but did not have time to read it.In short, it is certain that the telegram to buy "bonds" was not a reply to "opinions". In the second part, Ying Guixin explained the public debt in detail. Ying Guixin said that the public bonds with an interest rate of 8% issued by the central government in September last year were only sold at a 35% discount on the market (outside sales, only 650,000 per million). The purpose of the central government to solve financial difficulties is to purchase it at a discount of 66% higher than the market price. The kid also emphasized that he had worked so hard to come up with such a good idea, and that he didn't need to pay for it. This is of course a lie to put money on his face. Ying Guixin has said so much, and the implication is that I offer good conditions. It is unreasonable for you, Hong Shuzu, to blame me for offering too high conditions. As long as you speak well in front of the Minister of Finance, public bonds are not difficult to buy. As an aside, according to the historical materials related to government bonds in the early years of the Republic of China and the correspondence between Hong and Ying, the final decision on the commercial behavior of buying and selling government bonds rests with the Ministry of Finance. The Minister of Finance has the final say, and Yuan Shikai’s consent is not required. . I have talked about so many things related to government bonds, just to explain one point: buying government bonds has nothing to do with the matter of "seeking money from the Song Dynasty".This is a very critical piece of information. The third part of the letter can be regarded as Ying Guixin's official reply to the "opinion". Ying Guixin knew that she couldn't come up with black materials to deal with the errand, so she adopted the procedure taught by Hong Shuzu to deal with the errand. First collect Song Jiaoren's objecting articles - he collected Song Jiaoren's speech reprinted by "Minli Daily" and sent it to Hong Shuzu. Only when the target has a particularly violent and unruly behavior can we attack - he has detected the other party's "dramatic behavior" - not only Song Jiaoren's recent remarks are very dangerous, but also Huang Xing is very restless. Ying Guixin used part of the cash obtained from the resale of government bonds for the activities of contacting the garrisons in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and other places (full-time for the two ministries of Jiangsu and Zhejiang and the needs of the movement of Xu and Anhui). Later, he explained that he helped Huang Xing sell the public debt this time to break into the "enemy" and "make revolution", so that Hong Shuzu could say a few good words for himself in front of the leaders. The fourth part of the letter is obviously Ying Guixin's self-expression after she has deeply understood the telegram of "destroying the honor of the Song Dynasty". He said, I personally don't care about rewards for meritorious deeds, but I can't help but Song Jiaoren is too capable of making troubles. If we don't get rid of him (go to Song Dynasty), it may be detrimental to the general election situation. However, Song Jiaoren’s matter requires a lot of handling fees, and I only paid more than 200,000 yuan in advance when I went bankrupt (only the intermediate procedures, no rice for cooking...the remaining property can be used to transfer more than 200,000 yuan). Ying Guixin's asking price this time: more than 200,000 yuan, which is equivalent to the 300,000 yuan he asked for before. In other words, its final offer was still 300,000 yuan. One day later, Ying Guixin proposed a clear plan to assassinate the Song Dynasty: the leader of the bandits in Liangshan is causing disturbance everywhere, and the danger is very real. An urgent order has been issued to try to arrest him, and he begs to forward it and wait for instructions. The "Song" of "Liangshan bandit leader" Song Jiang means Song Jiaoren, and "try to suppress and arrest" means assassination, and "begging for submission" is to ask Hong Shuzu to ask the leaders (Zhao Bingjun, Yuan Shikai) for opinions. The script of Assassin Song was thus completed. Seeing this, it seems that Hong Shuzu didn't get any benefits. Isn't this in line with his usual style? Hong Shuzu told the world with practical actions: a dog can't change eating shit, and he can't change making money. On March 17, 1913, Hong Shuzu sent a telegram to Ying Guixin: the debt bills are specially approved, and when will the bills be paid in cash.Another call, moisten me a little, reply today. The bonds are very accurate. On the surface, it seems to say that the public debt will definitely be settled, but in fact it is affirmed by Guixin's plan to assassinate the Song Dynasty-the reward of 300,000 yuan is no problem, and the honor is no problem. However, Hong Shuzu was worried that Ying Guixin would run the train with his mouth full again, so he urged him: "Don't just talk but don't do it, act quickly (when will you pay cash and get the ticket)!" Remember to give me a rebate and be sure to answer me today. But in the next two days, Ying Guixin did not give a reply, so Hong Shuzu sent two more telegrams, urging Ying Guixin to fulfill his promise. On March 20, Ying Guixin replied to Hong Shuzu: I have received the telegram, but please report it to the central government first. As for whether Hong Shuzu "reported first", we will talk about it later.Anyway, Ying Guixin didn't care about the trifles, and used the ridiculous reason-to eliminate harm for 40 million compatriots and the outrageous price-30 yuan (promise 1000, pay 30) please杀手武士英出手,也就是本章最开始的那一幕。 ... no Zuo no Die.
