Emperor Yingzong Zhengtong of the Ming Dynasty was the first emperor to hold a grand wedding ceremony in the Kunning Palace of the Forbidden City in Beijing. His queen naturally became the first owner of Kunning Palace to be carried in a sedan chair from the middle gate of Daming Gate.

Kunning Palace is the main palace of the empress, but Empress Qian of Ming Yingzong suffered eight misfortunes here

Ming Yingzong Zhu Qizhen (1427-1464), his grandfather was Emperor Hongxi, and his father was Emperor Xuande. Ming history has the reputation of "the rule of Hongxuan".However, the reign of Emperor Hongxi for one year (actually only eight months) and the reign of Emperor Xuande for ten years were not long.During this period, after the wars at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, especially after the "Battle of Jingnan", the damage was great, and the people's livelihood was in decline.During the Hongxuan period, the society was stable, production resumed, and culture developed. The handicrafts of this period, such as Xuande stove and Xuande blue and white porcelain, are extremely famous, extremely rare, extremely fine and extremely precious cultural relics.

Emperor Xuande passed away at the age of 38, and his eldest son Zhu Qizhen succeeded to the throne at the age of 9 (empty).Zhu Qizhen was the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty to marry in Kunning Palace. His queen Qianshi has a story. Empress Qian (?—1468) of Ming Yingzong was born in Haizhou, Jiangsu (now Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province). In the seventh year of Zhengtong (1442), she was established as a queen.Empress Qian was praised by "History of Ming Dynasty".In the imperial era of China, the queen's natal family was called "foreign relatives".Once the daughter becomes the queen, the natal family will ascend to heaven. The scourge of relatives in the Han and Tang Dynasties is really endless in history.Emperor Yingzong of the Ming Dynasty considered that Empress Qian's natal family was single, and wanted to confer the title to the Marquis—the second-class "Marquis" of Gong, Hou, Bo, Zi, and male, but not the first-class "Main". Empress Qian resigned several times. Never closed. Therefore, "Ming History Biography of Empresses" said: "Therefore, the empress's family has no seal." In the entire history of the Ming Dynasty, the queen's family was "unique" and only Empress Qian's family. However, Empress Qian had eight misfortunes.

One is crying day and night.During Yingzong's captivity, he "wept to the sky at night, and lay down on the ground when he was tired, and lost one share. He lost one eye by crying." ("History of the Ming Dynasty: Concubine Biography" Volume 13) She cried day and night, blinded one eye, and sat on the cold ground for a long time crying, and another leg was damaged—probably because of femoral head necrosis on one side! The second is to redeem the king with all his money. "Yingzong hunted in the north, and Qingzhong Palace's assistant greeted him." Ming Yingzong was captured by the leader of the Mongolian Wara tribe first, and he had to spend money to redeem it.Empress Qian used all her private money to subsidize.

The third is patient comfort. After Ming Yingzong was released, he lived in Nangong (now in the area of Nanchizi) and was in a bad mood. She "songed for comfort" and patiently comforted and enlightened her frustrated husband. The fourth is widowed in middle age.Ming Yingzong died of illness at the age of 38, and Empress Qian was a young widow. The fifth is the battle of emblems. After Ming Yingzong's death, Zhou Guifei's son Zhu Jianshen succeeded to the throne as Emperor Chenghua. His biological mother, the Zhou family, was naturally the queen mother, and Empress Qian should also be titled "empress dowager", but Emperor Chenghua's biological mother disagreed. After several tosses and turns, he won the badge, which was not smooth.

The sixth is the incident of co-burial.Before Ming Yingzong died, he asked Empress Qian to "be buried with me".But Empress Dowager Qian died, and Empress Dowager Zhou (Zhou Guifei) did not agree.Emperor Chenghua kicked the ball to the ministers for discussion. Naturally, some flattered the Empress Dowager Zhou, and some insisted on Zhu Ming's family law. Yao Kui (a native of Tonglu, Anhui) gathered ninety-nine court officials to fight, and even "a hundred officials cried outside the gate of Wenhua".Emperor Chenghua asked the Empress Dowager Zhou for instructions, but she still disagreed. The emperor did not agree, and the officials knelt on the ground and got up. It took more than three hours from Si to Shen, about six to eight hours, before Empress Dowager Zhou reluctantly agreed to let Empress Dowager Qian be buried in Yuling together ("Ming History Peng Shi Biography") "Volume 176), but there is still a tail in the matter. What tail?

The seventh is the barrier between the underworld.Ming Yingzong Yuling buried three remains-Ming Yingzong, Queen Qian and Queen Zhou (Zhou Guifei).Although Empress Qian made special contributions to Ming Yingzong's disaster, she had no son; although Empress Zhou was a concubine, she gave birth to a son to inherit the throne.Queen Zhou (Concubine Zhou) still "competed" for Queen Qian not only during her lifetime, but also after her death. How to "compete for favor" after death? On both sides of the coffin of Emperor Yingzong of the Ming Dynasty, the coffin of Empress Qian was placed in the cave on the left, and the coffin of Empress Zhou (Concubine Zhou) was reserved in the cave on the right. The Empress Dowager Zhou (Zhou Guifei) insisted that the caves in the coffin of the Empress Dowager Qian should be separated by several feet, and should be "suffocated"-impeded, blocked, and the caves in her own coffin should be similar to those of Ming Yingzong.

Eight is no tablet.During the sacrifice in Fengxian Hall, Queen Zhou (Zhou Guifei) set up a tablet, but Queen Qian did not set up a tablet. Although Empress Qian was the first empress to be carried into Kunning Palace in a bridal sedan chair from Daming Gate, she suffered eight misfortunes!Obviously, this is not an isolated case, and the fate of several empresses of Emperor Jiajing is another example.
