Chapter 129 postscript

In 2010, I gave a lecture on "Three Dynasties in Northern Saibei" on CCTV's "Hundreds of Lectures" column, and the first "Liao" was broadcast that year.In the past three years, friends and enthusiastic viewers have been asking me when "Golden" and "Xixia" will be broadcast. I have not been able to give you an accurate answer. I am grateful for your love and feel very guilty. When it was published four years ago, I wrote in the epilogue my love and respect for history as a child, and the pride and responsibility of being a history teacher when I grew up.Here, I also want to make it clear that I am not a historian, nor an expert scholar.I majored in history pedagogy in college. To put it bluntly, it is how to teach history, not how to study history. When I got to work and stood on the three-foot podium, I understood that if students want to listen to history, they must be able to tell stories! The authors of "Historical Records", "Hanshu" and "Three Kingdoms" are all masters of storytelling. There are many dialogues, many psychological activities, and many detailed descriptions, making people and things that have been buried deep in the ground and the past long ago come alive. Fun and vibrant. What makes me regret is that our textbooks are too boring, lack of storytelling and interesting, only "three provinces and six departments", "nine grades in the right", "emphasis on agriculture and restraining business", "closed the country", "contention among a hundred schools of thought", "exclusive respect for Confucianism"... The vivid history has become a bunch of dry nouns and concepts.Students will inevitably doze off after listening to this pile of abstract concepts.

Sometimes when I take a taxi, I find that almost every driver is listening to storytelling, "Heroes of Ming Dynasty" and so on.Why do people never get tired of hearing it?Because they tell stories! Therefore, the only way to make Chinese people interested in what their ancestors did and their production and life is to tell them stories about their ancestors. Based on the above ideas, I really want to tell you the five thousand years of China's history in detail in the form of stories. These stories are taken from traditional history books and writings by masters of historiography, and can be regarded as storytelling with real plots. Some people say that I am a "storyteller", I am very happy to get this evaluation, and I am willing to continue talking, say yes, say wonderful!

In the past few years, although I have left the "Hundreds of Lectures", I have not left the platform. Thanks to Mr. Wang Yongqin, who once produced "Three Dynasties in Northern Saibei" for me, he tailored a large-scale series of programs "Five Thousand Years of Soaring" for me, from the Three Emperors and Five Emperors to the abdication of the Qing Emperor, and strived to make Chinese history a detailed one. tell.Currently, the program is still being recorded. The reason why my production team, my investors, and I worked so hard and painstakingly to complete "Five Thousand Years of Soaring", and we spared no expense, is that we want to use the form of storytelling to make Chinese history widely known and valued.

When recording "Five Thousand Years of Soaring", we learned that many viewers had great expectations for the two unaired parts of "Three Dynasties in Northern Saibei", so we re-recorded according to the original manuscript I made on CCTV's "Hundreds of Lectures" over again.Contacted by Taixue (Beijing) Culture Media Co., Ltd., the re-recorded "Three Dynasties in Northern Saibei" has met the audience on Youku. Thus, there are these three books presented in front of you. "Three Dynasties of Northern Saibei" can meet with you. We should thank Mr. Li Zhifeng for his strong support. As the production investors, they spared no expense and invested in the production with the spirit of throwing money at the pot and selling iron. For more than two years, they have only invested but no output. The hardships cannot be expressed in words. .Thanks to Mr. Niu Boyang, executive director of Taixue (Beijing) Culture Media Co., Ltd., and Mr. Heidelun, general manager, for making this program see the light of day again.I would like to thank Mr. Qian Wenzhong, a senior in the academic circle, for not using his clumsiness to write a preface. Thanks to Mr. Yuan Hui, a master of traditional Chinese painting, for his wonderful brushstrokes. Thanks to the well-known publisher Mr. Ao Ran and his team for making this book go to press smoothly. Finally, I would also like to thank my mother and wife for their understanding, support and encouragement during my most difficult times!

thank you all!I hope this book will be liked by everyone.
