Chapter 14 The fourth chapter is an important breakthrough on the original topic

The group discussion broke through the original three topics at the beginning. What had the greatest impact was Chen Yun's speech at the Northeast Group on November 12. He believed that those issues left over from the exposing and criticizing the "Gang of Four" movement that had a great impact or involved a wide range of issues needed to be considered and decided by the central government. He cited six questions as examples: (1) Comrade Bo Yibo and other 61 people involved in the case of the so-called traitor group. It was decided by the Party organization and the Central Committee that they were released from the House of Introspection, not traitors.

(2) On July 7, 1937, the decision of the Organization Department of the Central Committee (he was not yet the head of the Organization Department at this time) on the so-called self-surrenders, and in 1940, after he became the head of the Organization Department of the Central Committee, he was released from the Introspection Institute to perform the procedures for release from prison However, those comrades who continue to make revolution can be given the decision to restore their party membership after review, which is also approved by the central government. The comrades involved in these two decisions and the comrades who did revolutionary work under the circumstances of the two-faced regime are not traitors and should be restored to the party.

(3) Comrades Tao Zhu and Wang Heshou were a group of party members who were in the Nanjing Army Prison and insisted not to enter the Introspection Academy. They continued to go on hunger strike in prison until after the July 7 Anti-Japanese War.These comrades are now either designated as traitors, or although they have resumed organizational life, they still have a tail. When discussing the issues of Tao Zhu and others, Chen Yun proposed that the issues within the Party under the jurisdiction of the Central Task Force should be handed over to the Central Organization Department for review and to draw a conclusion based on facts.

(4) Comrade Peng Dehuai was a member of the Communist Party who had undertaken important work for the party and the army and made great contributions to the party. He is now dead. His ashes should be placed in the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery. (5) The "Tiananmen Incident" was a great mass movement in which millions of people in Beijing mourned Premier Zhou, opposed the "Gang of Four" and disagreed with criticizing Comrade Deng Xiaoping. The central government should affirm this movement. (6) In the early days of the "Cultural Revolution", Kang Sheng was one of the two advisers of the central "Cultural Revolution".Kang Sheng called names casually at that time, and he was heavily responsible for causing the paralysis of party and government agencies in various ministries of the central government and all over the country.Kang Sheng's mistakes were very serious, and the central government should give due criticism to Kang Sheng's mistakes at an appropriate meeting.

On the same day, some comrades in other groups raised similar opinions. For example, the Northwest Group proposed that to do a good job in shifting the focus, it is necessary to rehabilitate unjust, false and wrong cases. Issues in the "Cultural Revolution" were included in the agenda, etc. Comrade Chen Yun has high prestige in the party, thoughtful consideration, precise questions and powerful language. His speech was well received by all groups present.Nie Rongzhen in the Northeast Group, Kang Keqing in the North China Group, Song Renqiong, Xiao Hua in the Northwest Group, and many others expressed their opinions on these issues raised by Chen Yun, and added some other major cases that must be considered by the central government to make rehabilitative decisions, such as : In the case of Peng Luo and Lu Yang, Luo Ruiqing has passed away at this time, and Peng Zhen, Lu Dingyi, and Yang Shangkun have not yet arranged work; the case of "February Adverse Current", although Mao Zedong said "don't talk about it" during the "Cultural Revolution", has not yet been resolved thorough.

Many cases were brought up at the meeting, but Liu Shaoqi's case was too big. Many people thought that the time to raise this issue seemed immature, so no one raised it at the meeting. These are all issues related to rehabilitating unjust, false and wrongly decided cases. On the other hand, many people said that the Kangsheng issue must be thoroughly investigated and dealt with. Everyone believes that there are still some people who have done a lot of bad things with the "Gang of Four" and caused great public anger, such as Xie Fuzhi, Wu De, and Wu Zhong in the central government. , Guo Yufeng, etc., also exposed many facts. In terms of locality, Shandong mentioned Wang Xiaoyu, and Jilin mentioned Wang Huaixiang.
