Chapter 13 Chapter Thirteen

Rehe fell, and Chiang Kai-shek had to move his army northward, and began the Great Wall War of Resistance. In this battle, the Northeast Army who was in charge of defense was a unit that was chased by the Japanese in the Beidaying and had nowhere to go. Can He Yingqin, who replaced Zhang Xueliang in command, do better? Rehe fell, this time not only the whole country was shocked, but the whole country jumped up. How was the battle fought?Only Tang Erhu's subordinates can command 80,000 horses, and 80,000 people can't beat 128 Japanese soldiers, God knows! It's Guinness World Records.

Apart from Tang Erhu, who was unanimously criticized by public opinion, there was of course the young marshal who was in charge. Although Hu Shi was not a military and political figure at that time, he was a leader of public opinion. He said that the young commander "should bear the greatest responsibility" for the failure of Rehe, and his ability could not "take on such a major and critical situation." Then why fight. Hu Shi has always been a kind person, and he seldom fights with others to the point of bruises. However, stimulated by the defeat on the front line, he became sharp at the moment, and even directly shouted, "Knowing that I can't take on this great responsibility, but I want to fall in love." Words that hurt feelings.

The experts have all spoken, but Lao Jiang, who is also deeply "outraged" by the fall of Rehe, is still ready to give his brother Meng another chance. After "128 rode into Chengde", for two days in a row, he sent a telegram to the young marshal, asking him to cheer up and command the troops to counterattack Chengde-you can get it back from where you lost it. The young marshal also knew that he had messed up the matter this time, and expressed his willingness to lead the troops to fight in person. But it was too late. We don't need him to go anymore. On March 7, the Supervisory Yuan of the Nanjing Government filed an impeachment case, demanding that Zhang Xueliang and Tang Yulin be punished by military law.Don't underestimate this Overwatch Council. Before the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was the Yushitai. The people in it were called the Yushidu masters. They are not just ordinary princes and ministers. According to scolding.

Under the pressure of public opinion, Zhang Xueliang had to take the initiative to call the central government to request his resignation that day. Now Lao Jiang felt that the situation was serious, and he could not and did not dare to take it lightly. He flew from Nanchang to Wuhan, and then drove northward to Shijiazhuang. Before the butt was hot, the North China military and political officials rushed over after hearing the news. Huang Shaohong and Xu Yongchang (Chairman of the Shanxi Provincial Government), each with a bitter face, are vying to report to Lao Jiang. In fact, they all mean the same thing: let the young general dismiss get out of class!

Huang Shaohong was afraid that Lao Jiang would be soft-hearted at the critical moment, so he painstakingly made some inferences. How do you say it? Chairman, have you ever thought about it, if he (referring to Zhang Xueliang) continues to work, not only will the national public opinion not give up, but also other troops in North China that are not in the Northeast Army system will not do it. After the Central Plains War that year, the 29th Army and the Jinsui Army still have a hard-to-reach gap with the Northeast Army, and these people are veterans who were killed in the sea of knives and fire. They only accept those who are more ruthless and capable than them. You send one If you can't fight, how can you command them? And don't forget that when the Central Army cannot be mobilized in large numbers, it is up to them to fight the Japanese.

Furthermore, even if Zhang had the courage to lead his troops to fight the Japanese army to the death, he still had more than enough energy. Just look at his body and his mental state. Lao Jiang listened calmly to Huang Shaohong's eloquent speeches, but kept silent. In fact, even after arriving in North China, he still hadn't made a final decision on whether to replace the front-line coach. But Huang Shaohong's next sentence moved him. Huang Shaohong: Even if you allow Zhang to resign and leave the field, the Northeast Army will not have much movement and repercussions. Why? The new defeat in Rehe, the spittle sprayed from all over the country can drown people, it is time for people to come out and take responsibility.

Don't kill Ma Su at this time, let alone when. It is really a word that awakens the dreamer. For Lao Jiang, this is actually what he values and worries the most.Once this confusion is solved, it suddenly becomes clear. He no longer hesitates. Then there was the famous meeting between Lao Jiang, Song Ziwen and the young marshal. The content of the talks was inconsistent, and each had its own interpretation. But the result is certain, that is, Zhang Xueliang is really going to leave get out of class this time. On March 12, the national government announced that Zhang Xueliang was allowed to resign, and He Yingqin, the former Minister of Military and Political Affairs, would take over the post of acting chairman of the Beiping Army Branch.

The young marshal energized and went to the field, and Lao Jiang arranged for him to "go abroad to inspect the military." For him, this experience can be regarded as a Waterloo in his life.Military defeat, political frustration, physical decadence, originally wanted to keep some money, but when he touched his pocket at the end, he found that there was nothing left. Did the first snow in 1933 come later than before? At this moment, he might think of the change of banner and the Great War in the Central Plains many years ago, which were all the glorious peaks he experienced in his life.

However, more than twenty years have been like a dream, although this body is shocking.Destiny seems to have been set and arranged long ago. It will make you feel like you have everything, and it will also take it all away from you without mercy. Liu Yuxi of the Tang Dynasty had already seen through this, so he felt sincerely in the stone city where tigers and dragons were dominating: what's the use of sinking the "Qianxun Iron Lock" to the bottom of the river? He was talking about the unification of China by the Jin Dynasty. It was so vigorous at the time, but it didn't take long for it to be like a flash in the pan, and soon the land of China was divided for three centuries (Huang Renyu called it the lost three centuries).

In fact, the fate of people is similar to the fate of the country, the same impermanence, the same cruelty, and the same heartbreaking. Pain and despair, at that moment, almost overwhelmed this young man in his 30s. Northeast China is lost, Rehe is lost, and when he returns to China, Shanxi, Hebei, and Pingjin will no longer be under his control.Like all the subordinates of the Northeast Army, he really became a prodigal son. Today is home day around the world, so the base is Xiao Xiao and Lu Di Qiu. Only after losing did they realize the value of what they have. From then on, the Northeast Army and the young marshals all focused on "going back to their hometown in Northeast China", and hoped to return to their hometown - the place where soybeans and sorghum grew in their dreams.

In the meantime, heroes have emerged in large numbers. After the young marshal left the field, when Lao Jiang met with celebrities from all walks of life in North China, including Hu Shi, he also slapped himself, admitting that his reaction was a little slow, which gave the Japanese an opportunity ("Unexpectedly, Japan attacked Rehe and Tang Yulin Zhang Xueliang was defeated so quickly"). Now that you have made self-criticism, of course you must take some action. Lao Jiang ordered the Central Army to speed up to the north to help. how many? 3 main divisions. Hi hi, right? Why are there so few? At the end of last year, didn't they say that they could "secretly prepare 6 divisions"? How could there be such a sharp drop? ! In fact, when talking about this matter, Lao Jiang also had a hard time saying: Don't you know what time it is now? Going forward, more divisions have been estimated, not to mention 6 divisions. According to Lao Jiang's original idea, these Central Army troops could only be transferred from the "bandit suppression area", but in this way, a problem arose, who would fight the Red Army? At the critical moment, someone patted his chest. Representatives of Guangdong and Guangxi stationed in Shanghai said that as long as the central government is determined to fight the Japanese to the end, as many troops as Jiangxi draws out, they will replenish as many troops as Guangdong and Guangxi. There are times when people are in a hurry, and Lao Jiang, who is so disturbed by the situation in Rehe that he can't think about food and drink all day long, and can't even sleep well, is moved to tears. It's rare that comrades are so aware of the general situation and consider the overall situation, what else can't be done well? But innocence kills people, even Lao Jiang, who has a lot of experience in political conspiracy, accidentally fell into its way. Seeing that the battle of Rehe is about to start here, there is still no sound from Guangdong and Guangxi, as if nothing happened. They did not send a single soldier to Jiangxi. Lao Jiang's troops couldn't get out, and they were as anxious as ants on a hot pot for a while. At this critical juncture, government orders and instructions from the central government are useless. Besides, Guangdong and Guangxi did not sign any contracts when they promised to send troops. Give me the money, I am so poor that I want to be pants, how can I have money? What's more, Chen Jitang from Guangdong and Li Zongren from Guangxi are all monkey-like characters. Even if you borrow usury loans from them, there is no guarantee that they will be beaten by meat buns and never return. Give territory? The Nanjing government didn't control a few sites in total, so if you give less, you can't do it, and if you give too much, you don't have to live. After much deliberation, there is no other way but to use—— emotion. It was Huang Shaohong who was ordered to "talk about feelings". The reason why he was asked to complete this "big task" was naturally because Huang Shaohong was originally from Guangdong and Guangxi. The host and guest did not need to speak Mandarin when they talked, and the distance was easy to shorten. As a result, I don't say anything, and everyone knows it. Fellow villagers return to fellow villagers, friendship returns to friendship, soldiers, none of them. There are many reasons: insufficient ammunition, insufficient military expenditure... Anyway, they are all objective and realistic difficulties, and no one said that they are subjectively unwilling to go. Comparing with them, you can understand why Lao Jiang habitually protected the young marshal at the beginning: it is not that he has not mentioned the conditions, but he is simple, how can he be so "cunning and cunning" like these people. Seeing Huang Shaohong came back empty-handed, Lao Jiang was angry and depressed. Things have come to this, and the only thing left is to face the bleak life, so let's think of another way for the time being. No matter how you line up, you can only draw one out first. This is the 25th Division (Guan Linzheng Division) that had set off from Xuzhou earlier. For others, I can make up two, one is the 83rd Division (Liu Kan Division) in Xiaogan, Hubei, and the other is the 2nd Division (Huang Jie Division) in Tongguan, Shaanxi. These two divisions were also fighting the Red Army before, the former was fighting the Fourth Front Army of the Red Army, and the latter was fighting the Red Army in southern Shaanxi. Six divisions have become three divisions, which is a half-fold, but if we help him think about it from the standpoint of Lao Jiang, it is indeed not easy to achieve such a level. These three main divisions of the Central Army formed the 17th Army, which marched from their respective bases to the North China battlefield. Well, the situation is urgent, so don't blame you for blaming him anymore.Isn't the Central Army, Northwest Army, and Jinsui Army all gathered together? Then let's beat it with all our heart. But it can't be happy, because what He Yingqin is facing is a veritable mess. In addition to Jehol, which has long since fallen, there are also broken morale and a strategic situation that could have been fought. The 200,000 Northeast Army has been rushing towards the pass like a frightened bird. The fear they brought spread everywhere like a plague. Even the Jinsui Army and the 29th Army next to them were infected, and they were at a loss for a while. I don't know where the Kwantung Army came from. . The army is shaking like this, not to mention the unarmed ordinary people. The only thing they can do is to drag their families and help them escape to the south. To be timid before a battle is a big taboo for military strategists. In addition, the most troublesome thing for He Yingqin is that he doesn't even have a complete field for forming troops. Rehe is big enough. There are more than 600 miles from Chaoyang in western Liaoning to Chengde, and the road is mainly mountainous and plateau. . Unfortunately, lost. Now the Kwantung Army can enter the North China Plain as soon as they pass the eastern section of the Great Wall. There is nothing dangerous to defend here. Don't be too happy with the Japanese cannons and tanks. Obviously, the North China Plain is by no means a suitable battlefield, and it is too close to Pingjin, and if there is a slight difference, Pingjin will not be guaranteed. The only thing left that can be used to defend against danger is the Great Wall. But the Great Wall is not an impregnable place. Think about it, the Great Wall at this time is still a relic passed down from the Ming Dynasty hundreds of years ago. It has old arms and legs, and some places have already collapsed. Where can it withstand the attack of the Japanese mechanized division. The great enemy was in front of him, but there was not much room for him to use it. Such a heavy burden could only be carried by He Yingqin, who was at the top of the army at that time. We can imagine that during his days at the Whampoa Military Academy, the chief instructor must have given his students various examination questions, and sometimes even tried to increase the difficulty to test the students' ability and level. At that time, he probably never dreamed that one day, he would sit in the classroom, biting a pencil, and answering questions with a serious face. This is not an ABCD single-choice question, and there is no chance for a random guess. Thinking questions, still have to turn a few corners. Brother, I'm a blunt genius. I used to be very frightened by things like mathematics and physics. During the exam, it was often the last few thinking questions that frightened me.Scratching my ears and cheeks, sweating profusely, but I just can't answer, this has become a heart disease. After many years, I still have this nightmare of not being able to answer the questions. This is real. It is estimated that the current children are even more miserable, because it is said that the concept of the Olympic Games has been introduced.Still let people live? Of course, since Instructor He can become the chief instructor of the 800,000 Imperial Guards, he is the number one scholar, and he is not comparable to my generation.Soon, he handed over his answer sheet. His answer, if we use the campus jargon we are familiar with to make a comment, it is neat, clear, focused, and well-defined. Stabilize your heart first. After Zhang Xueliang resigned and left the field, the Northeast Army was reorganized into four armies, with Xuezhong (51st Army), Wan Fulin (53rd Army), He Zhuguo (57th Army), and Wang Yizhe (67th Army) serving as commanders. When the young marshal stepped down, these people, while not daring to complain about their grievances, were also afraid that their own troops would be dismembered. But He Yingqin told them clearly, fight hard, and I will not touch you ("Everything is business as usual, I hope everyone can feel at ease").This first stabilized the front line of the Great Wall more or less.At the very least, the Northeast Army will not abandon the Great Wall and flee immediately before other troops take over the defense. Then deploy the defense. In He Yingqin's eyes, the Great Wall must be defended. But defending the Great Wall does not mean deploying troops evenly on the more than 1,000-kilometer wall, but only needs to get stuck in a few key passes. Why do you say that? Because these passes connect the north and the south, the highway can just connect Rehe with North China. If the Kwantung Army did not break through these passes, they would not even be able to drive cars in, let alone flood the North China Plain in large numbers. So, can these old brick and stone walls stop them? It is of course difficult to rely on it alone, but as long as one more thing is added, it can join forces and add more strength. This is the terrain it is in - the Yanshan Mountains. Back then, Qin Shihuang, the Zhu family and his sons all chose this place for the construction of the Great Wall, not without vision. The Guanshan here is steep and powerful, and it is indeed the most important place for military strategists. The tall city walls, coupled with the majestic mountains, can make the grand pass of the world. From west to east, they formed the three signs of the later Great Wall Anti-Japanese War: Gubeikou, Xifengkou and Lengkou. After the central army was transferred to the front line, the number of troops He Yingqin could nominally command reached 260,000 again. In fact, the number is not the most important thing, the important thing is that those who can conquer battles come up. With chess pieces in hand, how to arrange them is also a science. The young marshal is far behind in this respect, he is probably a scumbag just like you and me.There were so many troops chaotically, but they didn't know where to put them. In the end, they all shrank back to their own base camp, leaving the Chuhehan world to their opponents in vain.As a result, the "carts", "horses" and "cannons" hadn't been dispatched yet, only two "pawns" came over, and everything was settled. In setting up the formation, He Yingqin could make a rough idea even with his eyes closed. Not to mention anything else, the civil war has been fought for so many years, and similar recipes are readily available. The first defense area is the Great Wall pass. The Northeast Army that stayed there was required to at least persist until the friendly troops changed defenses. After that, the most important ones were the 17th Army of the Central Army at Gubei on the west line, the 29th Army of Song Zheyuan on the Xifeng Army on the center line, and the 32nd Army of Shangzhen on the Lengkou on the east line. The ends of the three Great Wall passes also had to be garrisoned: Fu Zuoyi from Suiyuan was in charge of Dushikou further west from Gubeikou; At the same time, a Sun Dianying was placed in Duolun, Inner Mongolia. This is basically behind the Japanese army, so that the Japanese army can have a little worry when they are advancing towards the Great Wall. The second defense zone is the important area of Pingjin.Yu Xue of the Northeast Army defended Tianjin loyally, and Zhang Zuo, who had retreated from Rehe, defended Beiping. The third defense zone is behind the North China side.Continue to mobilize the various departments of the Central Army to gather here to prevent the Japanese army from continuing to go south after winning. One of the Great Wall Wars As the saying goes, if an expert stretches out his hand, he will know if there is one. With a few light steps on the chessboard, the previous chaotic layout was quickly sorted out, and a defense-in-depth system based on the Great Wall and Yanshan Mountains appeared in front of us (see the picture above). It should be said that He Yingqin's tactics are very similar to his personality, that is, although he is not known for being strange, he is "thick" and every move is well-organized and well-regulated, which is in line with any principle and principle in military textbooks. guidelines. In fact, before Minister He officially took up his duties, the war opportunity had already turned around, even earlier than everyone had expected: Lengkou Pass on the western front was recovered by Shang Zhen's Jinsui Army. For the Great Wall War of Resistance, this is a good start. But there is a problem here. What is recovery, that is lost and recovered. But according to the original meaning of the military branch, didn't it mean to let the Northeast Army persist until the friendly army took over the defense? Yes, that's right. But to be honest, whether we can "persist" until "receive the defense" is not up to the headquarters. Let's say that Shang Zhen sent his 139th Division to Lengkou to do the handover according to the overall deployment. The commander of the 139th division is called Huang Guanghua (the second phase of Baoding Military Academy). Huang Guanghua studied a relatively unpopular major in the military academy-engineering.After graduating from this major, it is easier to allocate, because no army can lack people who can do this job, but it is more difficult to develop further.Generally, those who can be promoted are either infantry, cavalry, or artillery, and it is rare to see someone from the engineering department. In this regard, Huang Guanghua is considered a special case, and it also proves that being the number one scholar is equally applicable in the military system. When Commander Huang led his troops to Luan County (before crossing the Luan River), he unexpectedly learned that Lengkou had already been defended and fortifications were underway. It's even more wrong to inquire again, it's not our own people who are defending, it's the Kwantung Army! It turned out that this was the advance detachment of Hattori Brigade Yoneyama. They were originally fighting against Miao Chengliu Division of Wan Fulin's army.I don't need to say much about the level of Wan Fulin's troops. After two hits, he ran, and the Japanese army chased after him, turning a good life-and-death battle into a chase. After chasing him, Mi Shan chased him to Lengkou. It was too late for Miao Chengliu to escape, and he didn't care about defending, so he handed over the pass to the Kwantung Army without saying a word. Don't mention Duole, Mi Shan accidentally picked up such a good wallet for him, and even the Northeast Army couldn't care less about chasing him, so he set up camp and prepared to sit and wait for the large troops behind. Huang Guanghua came from a long way, but he didn't expect that it was not the friendly army but the enemy army who lived at Lengkou Pass. We had no choice but to quickly report this "accident" military information to the Beiping Army Branch. The military branch didn't expect that Lengkou, which was a key pass in Luandong, would be lost so soon. Of course, it was very anxious, and immediately issued relevant orders to Huang Guanghua through Shang Zhen to recover it. After receiving the order, Huang Guanghua's division immediately set off from Luan County and marched 90 miles in a hurry. It took less than two days to arrive at Jianchang camp south of Lengkou. Huang Guanghua is not really confident about regaining Yingkou. From the fall of Rehe to the entry into the Great Wall, the Kwantung Army was almost fighting with the momentum of the autumn wind sweeping the fallen leaves. It seems that their biggest enemy is not the Chinese army, but bad weather. In their eyes, the Chinese army is not worth mentioning. It is no different from driving a chicken or a duck.Otherwise, there would be no "128 riding into Chengde" and the "feat" of the Mishan detachment breaking away from its own large force and chasing the opponent's large force. You must know that such a small and weak unit dares to blatantly advance by a single division, which runs counter to general military common sense. But they did it, and they all did it—first Chengde, now it's Lengkou's turn. Contrary to common sense and yet successful, we can only call them military miracles. Make you lose your temper. Was the Kwantung Army really that powerful? They had three heads and six arms? have no idea.Anyway, until now, I have never heard of any Chinese army that dared to take the initiative to jump out and challenge the Kwantung Army. Huang Guanghua continued to send people to investigate. The information he got this time made him breathe a sigh of relief and his confidence greatly increased. The Kwantung Army is also human, with two shoulders and one head. The most important thing is that the Mishan Detachment has less than a thousand people, which is roughly equivalent to two battalions of the 139th Division. This is one of them. Second, when the Mishan Detachment arrived at Lengkou Pass, it was supposed to build trenches and fortifications, but it stopped after two beatings. The reason is that the sky is too mean, and it is so cold that it freezes the rocks on the mountain and cannot be moved at all, and the advance detachment is called the advance, and they all march forward lightly, without heavy things, let alone shovels, hammers and rakes. If you can't move it or pry it, you have to wait for someone else to figure it out. Third, and most importantly, the Mishan detachment was lax in defense, and did not even make any pre-war preparations to prevent the Chinese army from counterattacking. It's no wonder that they basically didn't fight any battles along the way. As long as they rushed forward and hit the ground, all the so-called Chinese troops fled. More than 100 cavalry can attack Chengde and destroy Rehe. Tell me, what else can’t be done, and what needs special defense? Few soldiers and arrogant people, no fortifications and no defenses, this is Huang Guanghua's impression of the Mishan detachment. This battle must be won. Speaking of it, Shang Zhen's so-called division is very poor, there is no brigade.According to the official establishment, he only had two divisions and six regiments, but he was unwilling to "wrong" himself so much, so he secretly got three divisions. A supplementary group was added to go in. In this way, there are too many monks, but there is still a little porridge. We know that only those within the establishment have wages, benefits, and labor insurance. The army at that time was also like this. The military salary of 6 regiments was the military salary of 6 regiments, and there was no more money. The watering part is left to you. Shang Zhen couldn't figure it out, and the only way he could think of was to distribute the military salaries of the six regiments to the nine regiments. Therefore, the salaries of his officers and soldiers were generally one-third lower than those of the Central Army. Of course, Shang Zhen is not the only one who does this, everyone has been doing this for a long time.Invisibly, it also caused such a phenomenon: Looking at the payroll, the small life of the local army seems to be doing okay, but the gap between the essence and the appearance is too great. So Huang Guanghua said that there is a division, but it is not full of members at all. There are actually only 3 regiments: 2 main regiments and 1 supplementary regiment.Fortunately, the Mishan detachment has fewer people, and 3 regiments are more than enough for 2 battalions. Jianchang Camp was less than 10 miles from Lengkou Pass, which was nothing to the 139th Division who had always walked barefoot, and their attack timing was very good, just as the Japanese army was having dinner. This side is preparing to eat with a bowl, but the other side has already rushed over.To catch him by surprise, to attack him unprepared, is to kill. The Kwantung Army has always been attacking others, and was rarely attacked by others, so the detachment leader Mishan Milu was greatly surprised, but what surprised him even more was still behind. When it was time to organize firepower to launch a counterattack, it was discovered that it was not effective.Because the two sides are only a few steps away, they can only light up the bayonet and fight hand-to-hand. The bayonet fighting should have been the strength of the Japanese army. The Japanese soldiers had certain advantages in terms of the length of the gun and the bayonet fighting technique, but the 139th Division had another thing besides the bayonet. Mi Shan was very "lucky" and finally saw for the first time the deadly weapon that was later famous in China-the big sword. Among the armies in North China, the 29th Army is the coolest to play the big sword, but in fact, other people also use this trick. The same is true for Shang Zhen. The reason is not complicated to say. Although Shang Zhen is known as the Jinsui Army series, he had already fallen out with the Shanxi military and political authorities before. Taiyuan arsenal's aid, so we can only take out the magic weapon of our ancestors and reuse it. In this sudden hand-to-hand battle, courage decides the outcome: Maybe I have to listen to you if you are far away, but you have to listen to me if you are close. The officers and soldiers of the 139th Division were like wolves and tigers. They chopped and chopped when they caught them, and they immediately deformed the Mishan detachment. Mishan collapsed. Just a few days ago, the Chinese army was driven by me to run around like rabbits. Why did they become a group of fierce gods in a blink of an eye? Now it's their turn to run for their lives like rabbits. Two hours, clean and tidy, cold mouth lost and recovered. Although only one advance detachment of the Kwantung Army was defeated in the Battle of Lengkou Pass, it was a huge encouragement to the troops entering the front line of the Great Wall and boosted the morale of the troops for a while. This person suddenly regained his spirit. Both the 17th Army and the 29th Army of the Central Army are accelerating their approach to the front line of the Great Wall. In this situation, it is easy to think of the South a year ago, and the 5th Army of the Central Army and the 19th Route Army of the Guangdong Army. Perhaps the vast majority of people will make this comparison, including Muto, who is the supreme commander of the Kwantung Army. When Manchuria first appeared, Ma Zhanshan and the Northeast Volunteer Army were trapped in a desperate situation, and then they fought in North China. Within 10 days, Rehe was easily captured. These have won a lot of applause for Muto both inside and outside the army.Even Emperor Hirohito couldn't restrain his joy, and praised him for "defeating the masses with the few, and promoting the prestige of the imperial army at home and abroad." But Muto himself was not satisfied with this.He is very clear that the reason why the progress ahead is so rapid, and even so overwhelming, is largely due to the fact that the opponents he encounters are not the strongest. Ma Zhanshan and the Northeast Volunteer Army can't be completely integrated, and there are very few regular troops in the second, most of them are guerrilla. Tang Yulin of Rehe is a bastard and an idiot who is not even qualified to serve tea and water for himself. As for Muto has already seen the combat capability of the Northeast Army. After the "September 18th" Incident, even Hirohito ridiculed the Northeast Army as the "Eunuch Army". Now Muto finally realized the disdainful tone of the Emperor when he said these words. What he needs to find is the real opponent: where are you? The cold-mouthed gains and losses made him move. The Yoneyama advance detachment belongs to the Hattori Brigade, and the brigade commander, Major General Hattori Heijiro (No. 27 of Luda), analyzed that this Chinese offensive force is very different from the previous Northeast Army Wanfu in terms of combat command and mental outlook. Lin and other "underdogs" must be taken seriously. Since the launch of the Battle of Rehe, Muto has never seen his subordinates value a Chinese army so much, and when he learned that the Chinese side is about to be deployed in the third-line army, in terms of strength, the Shang Zhen Department is actually only ranked at the bottom position, his reaction was quite excited. This kind of battle can only be fought vigorously, and the opponents I am looking for are them. Muto ordered the Kwantung Army to continue rushing along the Great Wall without stopping. In name, it was to consolidate the frontier defense of Jehol, but in essence it was to create his own indelible military exploits, especially to restore the Japanese army's repeated attacks in Shanghai a year ago by defeating the Central Army. The "bad reputation" of unfavorable wars. Obviously, this is contrary to the emperor's combat order. Hirohito just wanted the Kwantung Army to take Rehe and realize the "unification of Manchuria", and did not let them continue to march into North China. However, since the reorganization of the Kwantung Army, the kind of actions similar to "rebels" that did not go through the General Staff Headquarters and the Emperor's orders, and came as they wanted, have been greatly restrained. Muto was unwilling to cease the war, but he did not dare to publicly "resist the edict and did not obey it", so he could only play side-by-sides such as "strengthening the border defense". Among the third lines of the Great Wall, Gubeikou is the most dangerous. It is only 200 miles away from Beiping. If the efficiency of the Japanese army's mechanized movement is used, it will take less than half a day to reach the city.He Yingqin deployed the most powerful central army here, so he knew the pros and cons of it. But they couldn't make it all at once. The brothers on the front line are really good. They thought it would be no problem to resist for a month, but they were paralyzed in a week.Everyone didn't react for a while. As soon as the mobilization order arrives, the luggage is tied up and carried on the shoulders, and they are on the road immediately. It's still too late. Guan Linzheng was the first to receive the mobilization order to go north, but he had not yet reached Gubeikou at this time. According to the order, they set off from Xuzhou on February 26, 1933, and assembled in Tongzhou, the eastern suburb of Beijing, before March 5. You might think that they go very slowly. Actually that's pretty fast. At that time, Guan Linzheng's division could be regarded as the most capable unit in the Central Army, and was called the "Maxima Division". This is probably related to the fact that they have been enemies with the Red Army in the Hubei, Henan, Anhui and Soviet areas for many years. The opponent is especially able to run, but you can't run, usually there is only one dead end.In the same way, the Red Army is good at long-distance raids, and Guan Lin Zhengshi also has this characteristic. But no matter how much you can run on two legs, you still can't keep up with a car with four wheels. It is said to be the Central Army, but in fact, the conditions are incomparable with the Japanese soldiers who have never paid much attention to logistics. Many officers and soldiers wore straw sandals, and some were even barefoot. It's not that there are no trucks at all, but they are used to load weapons and ammunition. Not to mention people, they are not even qualified to go up for military rations. Then how to transport rations?Use a donkey, or pull it with a bullock cart! In this way, I still dare not leave during the day, the reason is similar to the troops who reinforced Shanghai during the "January 28th" battle - I have no air control, so I have to defend against the air. The march had to start at 5:00 p.m., after it was almost dark, until the next morning, and then find a forest to hide, while resting, while waiting for the Japanese plane to get off work. Such mobility efficiency can be imagined. In fact, I can't walk 80 miles a day, and I can finally reach Tongzhou before March 5 according to the dispatch order, which is already in a hurry. At this time, Tongzhou already has the troops of the Linzheng Division, but only a small number of vanguard troops. The large troops and supplies are still waiting to be assembled. Loading... To make matters worse, the 112th Division of the Northeast Army (Division Zhang Tingshu), who was supposed to guard Gubeikou, has not been seen yet. If someone is absent, someone has to make up for it, or else the Kwantung Army will miss it again. Find the one closest to Gubeikou. The nearest is the 107th Division of the 67th Army of the Northeast Army (Zhang Zhengfang Division). When it comes to this teacher, I really feel a little embarrassed. Do you still remember the 7th Brigade who was once chased by 105 Japanese soldiers in the Peking Camp? Now their number is called the 107th division. His name has been changed, but you are still chasing after him, isn't it kind? To be honest, I didn't mean to expose people's scars. In the final analysis, like many friends, I was really stimulated by the unbearable scene back then. How did they fight that battle (if it can be counted as a war)? I don't need to ask questions, there are too many people asking questions, from Shenyang to Jinzhou, and then to North China, the officers and soldiers of this brigade are almost drowned by people's spittle. Although he has been called a "teacher" at this time, he is already poor and short-sighted. There used to be 10,000 people, but now the number has dropped to 4,000, and the number of rifles is only 2,000. That is to say, only half of the people can get guns, and the division below is like Shang Zhen's troops, skipping the brigade directly. There are only 3 regiments. Its strength is at the bottom of all divisions of the Northeast Army, and it is no longer considered an elite. Instead, their old brigade commander Wang Yizhe was promoted to the commander of the 67th Army. But the old saying goes well: blessings come from misfortunes, and misfortunes rest on blessings. After such a heavy blow and a huge mental stimulation, Master Zhang Zhengfang realized his shame and was brave, and he underwent a radical change. According to the memories of the old folks in North China, some Northeast armies had very bad military discipline. They often beat and scolded ordinary people before they robbed them. They were no different from bandits. The local people even made up a jingle for this: when the Fengjun (ordinary people still call the Northeast Army as Fengjun) arrives, they are frightened, children walking horses, adults chasing grass, jewelry and cash, all rush to run away. But for the Zhang Zhengfang division stationed there, people have a completely different impression.According to the old people, the division's military discipline is very good, and the soldiers are more "dutiful", and they are very kind to the common people from top to bottom. Not only that, but they also have a law enforcement team patrolling the streets to maintain discipline in the troops. The training is also very tight. At dawn, the officers and soldiers will get up and sing "Man Jianghong" while conducting military drills and combat exercises. Yue Fei's "Man Jianghong" has been changed by them. The song sang: The shame of our country is still not snowed, and the hatred of men, when will it be destroyed... Yes, as long as you remember the words "shame" and "hate". In the Great Wall Anti-Japanese War, if I were to give the score, the Northeast Army would not pass the pass line as a whole, but Zhang Zhengfang's division was an exception. I dare not say that it is higher, and the 70 points above the pass line are well-deserved. Needless to say, if a person can have a longer memory after suffering from pain, nine out of ten he will be able to make a fortune in the future. The same goes for the military. When the order to defend Gubeikou was issued to Zhang Zhengfang's division headquarters, Zhang Zhengfang (Northeast Lecture Hall No. 4) was recuperating in Beiping Hospital. After getting the order, he got up from the hospital bed, and while rushing to the front line, he issued combat orders to the three regiments he belonged to. The first one to set off was the 621 regiment. how is this possible? !
