I was born in Beijing. I had no father when I was two years old. I have two older brothers and two older sisters. Let me introduce briefly. I practiced martial arts when I was eight years old. The coach said that you are the material for practicing martial arts, so in that era, it was the lucky star who chose me. Or I chose Lucky Star, not sure.To win the championship in the first month, I thought it was quite hard work, so three months later I won the championship in China. I was a teenager. Until the age of 16, I began to have more and more assertiveness, because I felt that since what the adults said was not entirely true, I should choose my own life, because I have won the championship for five years, and if I continue to win, the sixth year , in the seventh year, there will always be a year when others bombard me, so I chose to make a movie, a movie changed my life, I started to make "Shaolin Temple" at the age of 17, a movie was quite successful, and the result is today. When I went back to Beijing or Shanghai, everyone said, I grew up watching your movies when I was a child. Today, the president of the Red Cross Society, who seems to be almost 60, said that I grew up watching your movies when I was a child. (Laughter, applause) I said, I have been making movies since I was very young.After filming, I encountered the biggest shock in my life, because not only physically, but when I approached your age, I began to have a lot of ignorance and painful feelings about life.For example, if I become famous overnight, I think I am self-righteous, and I think I am great. It feels unfair to society, teachers, elders, and many things. , I feel that you are unfair to me. Really, after the age of 19, until the age of twenty-four or five, all of them are self-centered and dissatisfied with the society, but they dare not show it or speak out, because after speaking will be criticized.After this period of time, and later, in the 90s, because I became my own boss and went to make movies, I suddenly looked at life from a different perspective, because I used to work part-time, and I was all about asking people for money and asking for money. This one wants that, but later, when I became my own boss, I found out, how do you care if I want this, and how do you care if I want that?Every worker began to repeat what I did before. Although this stage has gone through physical and mental shocks, because I broke my leg after filming "Shaolin Temple", it was very serious. The shock is quite big Yes, in my life.Generally speaking, the 1980s was a very long stage of self-centeredness, self-expansion, and self-pain. It was not until the 1990s that I began to understand it slowly. I went through the stage that every young person wants to go through, for myself I fully understand the process of struggling for fame, fortune, and material things, and I also sympathize with the problems everyone has to face during this process.

After the 90s, I started thinking.I started to think about the martial arts I have learned, and I have been told that there are two aspects of yin and yang, but I always seem to think about life from the yin side, so it is self-centered.A big incident happened. At that time, I was filming "Invincible in the East" in Hong Kong, and I had problems with the director, the film company, and so on.At that time people said, you and Director Tsui Hark are such a good partner, how could there be problems?But you have a position, I have a position, there must be problems, if you don’t believe me, you see, the teacher and the students have some problems, the wife and the husband have some problems, I have my point of view and you have your point of view, Yin and Yang are not in harmony, there are problems.I remember very clearly at that time, the reporter asked me, "You should be very grateful to Tsui Hark for nurturing you." If you are too self-centered, this is my personal experience, you will suffer a lot. When you throw away your self-centeredness, you will be very happy.This is what I am currently doing and learning.

Because I went abroad to buy a watch for my mother in the 1970s. The first time I bought a watch for my sister, and then for my brother. Later, I felt that it was not enough. I worked hard to make money and bought a bicycle. Later, every brother and sister had a bicycle. Later, I bought TV and color TV. That was very popular in the 1970s. For prestige, I bought refrigerators and washing machines, and later bought a house. I did it for my family and fought for myself. Of course, I was also buying better ones.At a certain level, of course there will be cars, houses, power, and desires, but you find that not only myself, material things can’t fully satisfy my problems and solve my inner pain, neither can the people around me, I have Lots of very poor friends, lots of very rich friends, very, very rich, but they're also miserable.I think that the cause of human suffering is not only material, what is material?What is the mind?At that time, I began to feel, no, this thing is not the way I want to go, I want to find the meaning of life, what is it.Really, I think material things are very important at a certain stage. Without this thing, we can’t concentrate on studying, we can’t concentrate on taking care of our family, we can’t concentrate on doing one thing, it’s very important at a certain stage, but across After that stage, the essence remains the same, but the quantity changes.Because this point of view is that some people are happy with a thousand dollars a month, some people hope for fifty thousand dollars, and some people hope for half a million dollars. One hundred thousand people will not be happy, so money and material things cannot make everyone happy, but desires are endless. I often joke that even if you are here, if you really hope to get rich, each of us will be happy. It is Li Ka-shing, but looking forward, there is another Bill Gates, who is richer. How can he be richer than Bill Gates?So I don't think material can solve the pain of the mind.So I started to become a Buddhist, looking at the universe again, looking at life, what is the material structure, what is the spiritual structure, and I found a lot of happiness from this.

Now let's get back to the topic.Because I am a Buddhist, in 2003, I accidentally saw a piece of news, and I was very shocked after seeing it. In 2003, it seemed that 280,000 people in China committed suicide. At that time, I thought, more than 200,000, Everyone has ten brothers and sisters, parents, grandparents, classmates, that is ten times the pain, and millions of people are suffering.I feel like, what can I do?Because when you explore the soul, at a certain stage you will understand what the real meaning of life is, how to care for these people, and how to use me... So I decided, through a movie, "Huo Yuan "A", to explain the psychological journey I have gone through in the past 42 years. I hope this movie can tell people "self-improvement". From the perspective of life, there may be different results.Because I also experienced it when I was young. I often look at society and life with self-centered positioning, how about my teacher, how about my classmates, who treats me well and who treats me badly. centered.If we can look at life from a different angle earlier, we can truly understand what I think and what I really need.Because what you really want and what you really need may not be the same topic. I made "Fearless" entirely out of a sense of responsibility. I think people, everyone has better knowledge than me. Since we are the "Sunshine Soul Project", we must first understand where the heart is and what the heart is. Jet Li: Of course.We decided to come back from the United States. My wife and I discussed it. It seems that if the child only learns English in the United States, it does not seem to be satisfactory. He should be brought to China to receive education in Chinese culture. At least he can stand up and be a Chinese.Of course, I am not opposed to Western education methods. Basically, it is my wife’s idea to be a master, and I respect it very much. Only in this way can we, I hope to have this mind in the future and be able to understand the world.我当然希望，上不上北大我要跟他妈妈商量，民主的社会要尊重彼此，但是我更希望的是，起码有个女儿可以作红十字会的义工。 （掌声）在我不知道什么时候死的时候，因为去年一年我面对三次死亡，海啸，去了一趟西藏，第三次第四次去西藏，在海拔4200的时候去禅修，五天以后没有了氧气，很严重的高山反应，真的面对了死亡，氧气不够，自己呼吸不了，再一次面对死亡的挑战，恰巧的是，在去西藏之前我和朋友去了海南岛，过了一次帝王式的生活，每天几十道菜，有厨师。然后我去了西藏，没有水，没有厨师，方便面也煮不熟，自己也不大懂，男女睡一个圈圈里，我和太太和几个朋友，一方面是物质，一方面是心灵。我经常开玩笑说，两头跑，上下左右周围晃。很好的体验，因为经历死亡，我不知道我什么时候死亡，但是我真心和太太商量过，在我们的子女当中一定有一个是红十字会的志愿者，这我可以保证。 (applause) 问题：请您谈谈您最难忘的人生体验。 李连杰：我还是要讲回来，在人的过程中有蛮多冲击的，比如腿断，在19岁那个年龄是一个最大的冲击。后来在八十年代，我每拍一个电影就要断一个地方，钱一块两块三块的涨，一个地方断一次。真的，蛮大的冲击，我断过手腕儿、腰板、脊椎，这在那个年代冲击很大，但是现在来讲过去了，所以也不觉得是什么，在心理上要有勇气，一个在国内长大的人，孤单到了香港，闯出一番天下，从香港又走到美国，在英文的社会里闯一个天下，走到欧洲再转一个圈回来。每一个阶段都需要勇气，在心理上承受很大的负担。当然了，各种经历，在各种不同的时候都有很大的冲击，我不能说哪个是最大的冲击，但是每一次都有很大的冲击。thanks. (applause) 问题：特别希望您在现场为大家表演几招。（热烈的掌声） 李连杰：给大家讲一个真心的话题。人一生出来就走向死亡，谁也躲不了，在座的，一百年，也许有??我年轻的时候武功真的还不错，刚才重复了，我断那么多次胳臂，断那么多次腿，四十多岁了，参加奥运的人早就退休了，拍电影，电影的科技非常高，电影可以用科技弥补很多东西。所以还可以造就有很好武功的李连杰出现，不是我不肯表演，如果我的表演可以让大家开心的话，我还是可以做几下。 (applause) 主持人：好，我们把这个最精采的环节放到最后。其实我们北大喜欢武术的同学很多，我们北大有一个协会叫武术协会，大家跟李连杰打一个招呼。还有很多女同学，他们也提出了很多问题“特别喜欢传统武术，您是武术出身，但是现在很多传统武术都面临着失传的危险，请问您认为传统武术在现代社会的价值是什么？发展的出路在哪里？”还有同学问，“您会收徒弟吗？” 李连杰：传统文化，传统武术，在我十七八岁的时候就想过这些问题，我开始了解了武术的起源，人类的起源，武术在每一个历史时期的演变，从大自然的斗争，到古代军事一直演变到今天的过程，在那个时候，我也已经有一个结论了，如果传统的武术或者优秀文化对今天的人类有所帮助和有益于今天生活发展需要的时候，它自然就会保存下来，如果是我们人类进步中已经不需要它的时候，包括传统的武术和文化，自然被淘汰。这不是你想和我想不想的问题，这是整个人类一个必然的现象。如何把文化和武功不断的演变到今天的人类社会上，为人的身体和心灵健康都有所帮助的那一部分，将永远自然地保留下来，发展下去，这是一个必然的现象。所以我个人认为，淘汰一些传统的东西是必然的，真的，没有什么遗憾，因为人类并不需要花五年的时间练铁砂掌，因为这已经是那个时代的人必需的一种东西，因为那个时候，上山修炼十年，下山和大学毕业一样，你可以找到很多工作，很多人需要保镖，很多人需要护院，武功强你可以靠武功升官，做军事将领，等等等等。最差的做一个刺客，所以那时候练武功就像上大学一样，但是现在练武功练铁砂掌，我不知道有什么用处，我宁愿花十年时间去上北大，出来以后希望找一个好的工作。 问题：我注意到，在您的讲话中有“咱们北大”四个字，请问您对北大有怎样的感觉？您这次来北大，对北大的印象怎么样？ 李连杰：“咱们北大”，我怎么从心里冒出这个词的？这是过去的一段历史，可能大家不熟悉。在八十年代的时候，我断过腿，后来我很想离开我体育的单位，体委，脱开领导的管束，自由的飞翔。但是很难，从一个单位调动到另一个单位，在八十年代是一件极其困难的事情，我鼓足了勇气写了一封信给我们当时的领导人邓小平先生，我要离开，我要念书。他跟旁边的秘书说，好啊，孩子念书总是好事，北大、清华，随便，哪个都可以。多可笑，一个年轻人，一年级没上过，上北大、上清华，太美了，一下子，筋都爆上了。但是我没有选择，我觉得，要靠自己的本事一步步走下去，自己超越自己这才是更重要的，所以我选择了自己超越。（热烈的掌声） 主持人：谢谢，我想如果现在有机会的话，您能到北大来哲学系或者历史学系，您喜欢的学科来读书的话，我们大家会非常欢迎的。 (applause) 李连杰：但是我更希望看到北大的学生和北大的人出来到全世界去，把北大光辉的历史、光辉的文化、光辉的传统传出去，这个更有意义。都进来，还要出去呢。 (applause) 问题：您刚才讲到在南亚那场海啸的灾难当中，您曾经与死亡擦肩而过，当时您心里想到的是什么？ 李连杰：可能大家都知道这个简单的过程。第一天晚上，12月25号我去了那里，在夜里，很漂亮的月光，英文来形容就是“地球上最后一块小小的天堂。”第二天早上去玩的时候海啸来了，我当时抱着大女儿，一个阿姨抱着小的女儿在海边玩，我当时真的不知道是海啸，我看海水过来，我以为涨潮了，这可能就是没文化的关系吧。（笑）我以为是涨潮，孩子看到海上来的时候，她还很高兴，还在踩，后来才发觉有些不对劲儿，海边都没有人了，我们就往岸上走，每走一步海就涨一点，我的阿姨比我矮一点，她开始喝水。我曾经花过一段时间学习如何面对死亡，在那一刻的时候，我自己并没有什么害怕，人家给你讲死亡的时候，自己不害怕，当时我只有一个信念，保护孩子。这可能就是人的本能，就是我说的爱。（掌声）当时你的本能就是，四十多岁了，人生已经过了一半，孩子还小，怎么样去保护孩子走出这个困境是当时唯一的念头，走过之后，那一个夜晚，才有时间去想，在那一个夜晚你会想很多，名是什么，利是什么，真的要做什么，我到底需要什么，我有这么多权和利，我不好好的运用，我就会教给下一代，我只是个保管，下一代争气还好，不争气就丧掉了。但是你会发现，生命很短，不知道什么时候会死，所以，好好利用，好好珍惜每一天。《霍元甲》有一段对白，是我自己写的，我考虑是不是太说教了，但是不说教别人又不知道你想表达什么，所以还是在电影的结尾拍了，当时吃完饭我回来跟导演说，拍吧，被骂也拍了，这一句就是“我没有办法选择生命的开始，但是我有勇气走到最后一步。”（热烈的掌声） 问题：如果您有一句话要对徘徊在挫折中的朋友，你会说什么？ 李连杰：就像我刚才讲的，我个人的观点，说了半天，举个北大的例子，就我个人的经验来讲，我不能保证每一个北大出来的学生都能找到很好的工作，很高的工资，我也不能保证普通学校出来的人不能发出比北大学生更大的光芒，生命本身不是一条路走到底，你要把它想得远一点儿，站在另外一个角度看一看，换一个角度，看一看生命，再决定也未尝不可了。thanks.
