The issue of emperor succession is a major issue in feudal society, and the succession of sons is a matter of course under the patriarchal system. Since the pre-Qin period, the eldest son succession system has become a system that is not easy to determine in the Central Plains dynasty.Passing on sons can ensure that the surname of the future generations will not change, but it is inevitable that the country will be ruined and the family will be destroyed when encountering unworthy descendants. How many wise monarchs have thought of establishing a virtuous instead of an elder, but the vacancy of the crown prince has become the target of the princes, so it often leads to civil strife.

Zhu Yuanzhang had already thought about this problem before he became emperor. As early as in the twenty-fourth year of Yuan Zhizheng (1364, the tenth year of Song Longfeng), when Zhu Yuanzhang established himself as the king of Wu, he appointed his eldest son Zhu Biao as the "son of the world", that is, the legal heir to the throne. In the first year of Hongwu, Zhu Yuanzhang became the emperor, and Zhu Biao naturally became the crown prince. He regarded Li Prince as the foundation of the world. The crown prince's book treasure reads: "The country builds the crown prince, the etiquette follows the eldest son, and the foundation of the world lies in it." Heart, use it forever in the country."He once said to the crown prince: "The son of the emperor is different from the son of the public. The son of the public is related to the prosperity and decline of the family, and the son of the emperor is the safety of the world. You bear the weight of the master, and you will have the responsibility of the world. Gongqing If the common people can't cultivate themselves and keep their families together, they will end up with one family. If the emperor can't cultivate morality, his defeat will be compared with that of one family. The ancestral temple and the country will be destroyed, and all living beings in the world will suffer from it. Don't be afraid! Don't be afraid! Excuse me!" Although Zhu Yuanzhang's main purpose was to protect the Zhu family's world, he still had the ambition to seek blessings for the world.Zhu Yuanzhang also really worked hard on the education and training of the crown prince, let him study, let him participate in politics, and let him tour the world to understand the people's sentiments. His requirements for the prince are one to command the army, one to be in charge of rituals, and the other to practice politics. He asked civil and military ministers such as the left prime minister Li Shanchang and the right prime minister Xu Da to also lead the East Palace officials, and he said to them: "In the past, the Duke of Zhou taught the king to conquer the army, and called the sixth division of the uncle Kang and Zhang Huang. This residence is safe and secure, and we will not neglect military preparations. Gai is a king who has grown up rich and honored, loved ease, and is not familiar with the military. When he has a priority, he doesn’t know what to do. The words of the two princes are juxtaposed.” He also told the prince’s guests Liang Zhen, Wang Yi, and the prince Instructing De Qinyong, Lu Deming, and Zhang Yi said: "I ordered you to guide the prince, you must first cultivate his virtue, so that he can advance in the way of a brilliant emperor, the number of rites and music, and the success and failure of the past, the matter of folk farming, Discuss with him day and night, and hear rumors every day, since there is nothing out of the ordinary, and after a long time, it will be transformed into politics in the future, and it will naturally be in line with the way." Zhu Yuanzhang has long said, "If I have something to do outside, the prince will supervise the country."In the tenth year of Hongwu, Zhu Yuanzhang ordered that all political affairs should be punished by the prince first, and then heard. He said: "Since ancient times, only the king of entrepreneurship has been involved in diligence, empathy, and physics. Therefore, he is rarely inappropriate when dealing with things. The king of success, growth and wealth, if he is not so experienced in the past, there are few people who are not wrong in his administration. Therefore, I specially ordered you to come to the ministers every day to listen to and judge the admonitions of the various divisions in order to practice state affairs. Only benevolence will not lose irritability; Grammar. All of these are based on the authority of one heart....Although ordinary people have the ability to be sensitive, they will inevitably make mistakes if they do not have experience and practice. It is too late to change. Since I have the world, I have never Leisurely, I am afraid that nothing will go wrong in all affairs, so as to bear the meaning of God's entrustment. Wear a star and go to bed, and go to bed at night. When the day is not good, the sleep is also restless. This is what you have seen. If you can practice it, the blessing of the world I don’t have to worry about it.” Later, he asked the grand master Li Shanchang, the Duke of Korea, and others to say: “The former ordered the crown prince to listen to the courtier’s announcement, and wanted him to practice state affairs. If the political affairs are opened in the East Palace, the second and third ministers such as Qing will participate in the decision, and then they will hear about it." In the 14th year of Hongwu, Zhu Yuanzhang sent the prince to inspect Shaanxi to plan the establishment of the capital. He hopes that the prince can inherit his career and keep the Zhu family's world.

When Zhu Biao was born, although the world had not yet settled down, Zhu Yuanzhang was already the general who commanded the army and horses to fight.Soon after Zhu Biao was born, Zhu Yuanzhang conquered Jiqing (now Nanjing), so Zhu Biao must not know what hardships and ups and downs are.He was only thirteen years old when he was established as the prince, and he was accompanied by "famous Confucians" every day to study in the ban. These have formed his temperament and character that are completely different from Zhu Yuanzhang.Of course, he lacks Zhu Yuanzhang's rigor and determination, but he also doesn't have Zhu Yuanzhang's cruelty.

It is said that Zhu Yuanzhang saw that the prince was benevolent and weak, so he thought of some ways to stimulate his courage. One day, Zhu Yuanzhang quietly made people pass by the prince on purpose. The prince frowned when he saw it, and repeatedly stroked his palms and said, "That's good! That's good!" Zhu Yuanzhang couldn't help being very disappointed.Zhu Biao was familiar with Confucian ethics since he was a child, and devoted himself to it.Once, a noble concubine of Zhu Yuanzhang died, and Zhu Yuanzhang was very sad. He ordered the prince to obey the "Qi Decaying Staff Period".The prince said: According to the rules of etiquette, only the concubine's mother can be served "缌". Angry, he drew his sword and struck at the prince. The prince walked away, saying the words in the etiquette system while running; Fate cannot be violated." Gui Yanliang is more able to grasp the essence of "ritual" than Zhu Biao. It serves the autocratic imperial power. If the two are different, then it depends on the emperor's will. As a dogma that can restrain anyone including the emperor, it loses its existence value for the emperor and feudal politics. The prince understood that imperial power is more important than propriety, and that "the father's order must not be violated", so he obeyed Qi Shuai and went to see Zhu Yuanzhang to apologize, and Zhu Yuanzhang's anger slowly dissipated. However, since this incident, the father and son have left a rift.In fact, these records deliberately denigrate Zhu Biao.Judging from other records, Zhu Biao is not so incompetent. In Tang Su's "Mi'an Manuscript", there are prefaces such as "Send Chen Zhongbao to Weiyang", "Qian Jizhen Yingshuihe County Prime Minister", all of which put the prince and Zhu Yuanzhang side by side, which shows that Zhu Biao was already in an important position in politics at that time .In the elegy of Fang Xiaoru, a great Confucian in the early Ming Dynasty, there are sentences such as "Supervising the country to benefit the imperial government, worrying about labor for twenty years" and "Wenhua is the foundation of the country, and Qianze is surrounded by the world", which reveals the praise of Zhu Biao by the people of the time.

The kings and Zhu Biao are both the sons of Zhu Yuanzhang, and they are divided into monarchs and ministers only because of their differences in age.Even in details such as letter writing, there must be strict distinctions.Under such circumstances, the kings inevitably coveted the throne. This often manifests itself in their daily actions.According to regulations, people with different status and status are also divided into different levels of clothing and utensils, and those with low status are not allowed to overstep. But the clothes of the kings in the palace prefer to imitate the appearance of the prince.During the incident, Zhuo Jing noticed this sign, and immediately suggested to Zhu Yuanzhang: "In the palace, the imperial court regards it as imitation, and the discipline is the first. Now your majesty will not distinguish the authority of the princes early, so that the descendants and concubines will be confused, and the order will be disordered. Why do you order the world?" Zhu Yuanzhang replied: "Your words are true, but I can't worry about it."

Perhaps Zhu Yuanzhang didn't pay attention to this detail, but he had already changed his mind when he killed Ye Jusheng, and seriously considered the relationship between the prince and the kings in the future. And began to pay attention to the constraints on the kings. In December of the twenty-sixth year of Hongwu, he ordered people to compile a "Yongjianlu", which compiled the evil and rebellious kings of the royal family in the past.On the fifteenth day of the first month of the first year of Hongwu, Zhu Yuanzhang was in Wenlou, and the prince stood by.Zhu Yuanzhang asked the prince and the Confucian officials what happened? The prince replied that yesterday he talked about the rebellion of the Seven Kingdoms against Han.Zhu Yuanzhang therefore asked the prince what was the matter. The prince said: "The song is in the Seven Kingdoms." Zhu Yuanzhang said: "It is advisable to say that the officials are one-sided. When Emperor Jing was the prince, he set up a permanent gambling bureau to kill the sons of the Wu kings in order to radically resent. He also listened to Chao Cuo when he was the emperor. The saying is lightly deposing and cutting down the land of the princes. The change of the Seven Kingdoms is actually due to this. If you say this for the scholars, it should be said that the vassal king must respect the emperor above, caress the people below, and serve as the vassal of the country. In this way, those who are princes must know the nine clans of dunmu and the kindness of relatives. Those who are princes must know how to support the royal family, so as to fulfill the righteousness of the monarch and ministers."

However, only two words of kindness and righteousness can stop the brutal power struggle.Throughout the ages, how many fathers and sons have killed each other for power and profit! After Zhu Biao was established as the prince, the conspiracy of the kings spread from time to time.Someone reported King Jin's infidelity. It is said that he hid his troops in Wutai in an attempt to rebel.Zhu Yuanzhang was furious and wanted to send troops to conquer. In this matter, the prince showed a benevolent and polite nature. He said: "In case the soldiers pass by (the King of Jin) or refuse to order, it is father and son who are enemies. What will happen to the future generations?"Zhu Yuanzhang agreed with this opinion. The prince toured to the northwest and met with the kings for more than ten days. When the prince was about to leave, the king of Jin sent him to Henan, and the prince took advantage of the situation to let him enter the court.King Jin had no choice but to obey his orders and go to Beijing.Zhu Yuanzhang wanted to execute the king of Jin, but the prince couldn't bear it, so he kowtowed and prayed for the king.So Zhu Yuanzhang abolished King Jin as a commoner and ordered him to live in the capital. The prince is friendly and friendly by nature, and he persuades the king of Jin every day, which makes him realize something, and weeps day and night in pain, with deep repentance.Seeing this situation, Zhu Yuanzhang couldn't help feeling compassionate, pardoned King Jin's crime, and restored his kingship. This incident not only shows that King Jin once conspired against him, but also shows the benevolence, tenderness and friendship of the prince. In addition, King Qin made repeated mistakes, and the prince was relieved of them.

Among the kings who have great ambitions, the king of Yan, Zhu Di, should be the leader. As mentioned earlier, King Yan was a brave young man, tall and tall, Luo Luo had great ambitions, a good ranger and good at riding and shooting. He also showed extraordinary military talents when preparing for the north, which not only became the capital for him to spy on the throne, but also fueled his ambition. There are even legends that he once disliked his parents and didn't know what to do.Zhu Yuanzhang wanted to abandon him several times, but he was spared only because of the persuasion of his ministers. However, most of the records left at present have been deleted and revised after Zhu Di became emperor, so it is difficult to understand Zhu Di's original appearance at that time.Still, we're getting some news amidst the veil. "Ming Taizong Shilu" records such a passage:

Taizu said: "Among all the princes, Yan Wang Renxiao has literary and military talents, can comfort the country and the people, and I am interested." Sapphire.Yu first conquered Naha, the northern captive, and returned to Beiping. He entered with the name of a horse (referring to Zhu Di, king of Yan), and said: "The horse has not entered the court, but I accept it. How can I respect the father?"Yu is ashamed but unhappy. So, hearing what the prince said, he said: "Your Majesty, who is your favorite among the princes?" The prince said: "There is nothing like King Yan." Ask the people to be quiet and undisturbed, and win the hearts of the army and the people. Everyone thinks that he has the tolerance of a king. I am afraid that if you hear this, the love of your highness will decline. I also heard the words of those who look forward to it. Yandi has the spirit of the emperor, and your highness should judge it. "The prince said: "I am very respectful to the king of Yan." Yu said: "Your Highness asked the minister, but the minister dared not hide it, so he tried his best to be foolish and loyal. Only keep it secret." At that time, the king of Jin also heard that Taizu paid attention to him.I think of my brother and my brother, so I have a suspicion.Later, the King of Jin and his superiors both came to the court, and there was an illness. The King of Jin saw the invasion with several words, and the superior was full of fear, and the illness increased, so he begged to return to the country. The king of Jin secretly sent people to investigate the details of the upper country, and he heard about it in the court, but there was nothing.

This text was originally recorded in the official book "Feng Tian Jing Nan Ji" in the early years of Yongle, and was later included in the actual record. Although it was deleted and revised, its meaning is still there. This is a typical text that beautifies King Yan and justifies and whitewashes his ambition. But it clearly and unmistakably showed that King Yan had long been interested in the throne, so he was very unhappy not only with the prince but also with King Jin. In April of the twenty-fifth year of Hongwu, Bingzi, the crown prince died of illness, and the position of Crown Prince became vacant. At this time, Zhu Yuanzhang was already sixty-five years old.It goes without saying that the grief of losing a child in old age is self-evident. It is important to re-determine who will be the heir to the business.Zhu Yuanzhang wept bitterly to his ministers on the east corner gate.Liu Sanwu, a scholar of the Imperial Academy, stepped forward to comfort him. Starting from the patriarchal system, he believed that Yunwen, the son of Prince Yiwen, should inherit the throne. No worries." Zhu Yuanzhang adopted this suggestion, and in September of the same year, Zhu Yunwen was made the emperor's grandson, when Zhu Yunwen was only ten years old. There are different records in various books about who Zhu Yuanzhang originally planned to establish as the crown prince to succeed the prince. It is said that Zhu Yuanzhang planned to establish the king of Yan only because Liu Sanwu, a scholar, remonstrated: "Guoer, where will the two kings of Qin and Jin be placed?" Although the king of Yan was not established, Liu Sanwu was demoted to a doctor because of this.In addition to the "Liu Sanwu Biography" in "Ci Lin Ji", there is also the "Feudal Edict" written by Zhu Di, which mentioned that "the emperor tried to make me his heir" and so on.In fact, the statement about Zhu Yuanzhang's desire to establish the king of Yan can be found everywhere in the records of the restoration of the Yongle Dynasty, and it may be Zhu Di's justification for usurping the throne for himself.Mr. Wang Chongwu believes: "If Taizu Gou really intended to establish the king of Yan, and he really stopped with Liu Sanwu's remonstrance, then Chengzu should deeply regret Sanwu, and there should be no negative words in the "Records of Taizu" in today's biography, let alone his remonstrance. Enter the record of the two dynasties." The reason for this is that after the death of Qin and Jin Dynasties, King Yan's seizure of the throne was legalized. What you see is good.

Another theory is that Zhu Yuanzhang did not want to establish Zhu Yunqi, saying that "Prince Yiwen died of Xiaoling and did not want to establish a grandson. After a long delay, Empress Gao was displeased, and collapsed due to structural illness. So the grandson was established."Zheng Xiao, a man of the Ming Dynasty, said "this is nonsense". In April of Hongwu Renshen (25th year), Bingzi Yiwen, the prince, died. .At that time, it had been eleven years since Gaohou collapsed (Gaohou collapsed in August, Renxu, the fifteenth year of Hongwu). Why did Zhu Yuanzhang not make King Yan, but decidedly made Zhu Yunqi the crown prince? The Ming people had a pertinent analysis: "Although Emperor Wen is a sage, he is said to be wise and considerate, and he is cool like the Taizu. Zu Gu said: "I created the world by myself and passed it down to the world. If there are people who will seize the breeding and resist the clan in the future, I will start the chaos. It is enough to worry about spreading it randomly and passing it down for thousands of generations." Excuse me!" To put it bluntly, Zhu Yuanzhang insisted on the system of heir succession for the purpose of consolidating the political power. In the succession to the throne, it is obvious that unstable factors have reappeared. The eldest brother Zhu Biao is the prince, and the younger brothers are still in dispute, and the young nephew is the grandson of the emperor, let alone being looked down upon by the uncles. It is difficult for them to respect this child as the monarch.Zhu Yuanzhang couldn't help worrying about this. One night, Zhu Yuanzhang saw two dragons, the yellow and the white, rushing into the main hall, fighting inextricably. In the end, the yellow dragon was victorious and soared away, while the white dragon was defeated and slithered to the ground.Zhu Yuanzhang woke up suddenly, it turned out to be a dream. The next morning, Zhu Yuanzhang looked at the court, and as soon as he entered the gate of the palace, he saw the emperor grandson in the right corner of the palace, while the king of Yan was in front of him on the left.At that time, the left was the top.As the crown prince, the grandson of the emperor is indistinguishable from the supreme emperor, how dare King Yan treat him so insultingly!Zhu Yuanzhang couldn't help being shocked. From this incident, he realized King Yan's ambition to seize the throne. In this regard, he did not say anything, but issued a stern order. He ordered Zhu Di to leave the palace and move to another garden, and forbade the palace to send him food.Empress Gao felt sorry for Zhu Di's situation, and couldn't bear it, so she secretly gave him food, so Zhu Di survived. After a long time, Zhu Di was released. This incident may be due to the attachment, but it shows that after Zhu Biao's death, the kings' spying on the throne was more arrogant than before. Ceremony is an important means of distinguishing between noble and humble in ancient China. In August of the twenty-ninth year of Hongwu, Zhu Yuanzhang ordered the courtiers to renegotiate the ceremony for the kings to meet the East Palace.Donggong refers to the crown prince. At this time, it was the emperor grandson Yunwen. The courtiers said that the etiquette for the kings to see the East Palace has been established. This is the etiquette agreed in February of the twelfth year of Hongwu: when the princes come to the court, they will wear a crown and gown to see the emperor. The east gate of the gate leads to the front of Wenhua Hall, facing west. The East Palace is equipped with a crown suit, holding Dagui, and the six members of Zhan Shifu are led out and ascended to the seat. The courtiers of the East Palace were left and right attendants, and the courtiers and courtiers bowed to their seats and bowed four times. After sitting in the East Palace, the East Palace and the king are all dressed in regular clothes, and they go to the back hall to perform family rituals. This time, the renegotiation is about family rituals. It turned out that Yiwen was the crown prince, and as the eldest brother, the kings still had their own words. Now that Yunwen is the grandson of the emperor and the nephew of the kings, the family etiquette has to be redefined. The result of the discussion was: After the kings had seen the East Palace, they entered the apse from the east gate of the Wenhua Hall, and the kings wanted to talk about family rituals with the East Palace. At this time, they all changed into regular clothes. The king sat facing west, and the east palace sat facing east. After the ceremony, the emperor and grandson still sat in the south-central direction, and the kings were listed on the east and west sides. This is a contradictory and embarrassing scene. The kings are respected as uncles, but they are inferior. They want to bow down to their nephews, and they are naturally dissatisfied. .There is a deep contradiction here.According to legend, once Zhu Di, the king of Yan, was with the emperor's grandson Zhu Yunwen, he once patted Yunwen's back with his hand, and jokingly said: "Unfortunately, today is the day!" At the scene, I couldn't help but say: "What is the grandson of the Emperor Tart." Zhu Yunwen said: "My uncle loves my old ears." Instead, he defended him. In fact, Zhu Yunqi had clearly felt the threat from the kings.Zhu Yuanzhang was also liberated from the thoughts he had when he killed Ye Jusheng in the first year of Hongwu. He once deeply regarded the kings as dry cities, and he said to Zhu Yunwen: "I pay the kings with the captives, so that the border dust will not be young, and you will be at ease." If it is not peaceful, who will control it?" Zhu Yuanzhang was speechless for a moment. He asked Yun Wen: "What do you think?" Yun Wen said: "Embrace them with virtue and rule them with etiquette. "Yes, there is no way to change this." Zhu Yunqi also talked about this matter with Huang Zicheng, the Minister of Taichang Temple. One day, they were at the east corner gate. Illegal, what can I do?" Huang Zicheng replied: "The guards of the kings are sufficient to defend themselves. If there is a change, who can support the Sixth Division? The seven kingdoms of the Han Dynasty are not weak, and the soldiers will perish. The size is different from the strong to the weak. , and the principles of obedience and inverse are also different.” He had an optimistic view of possible events from the perspective of the comparison of military power and the obedience and inverse of feudal etiquette.Zhu Yunwen agreed with his opinion, saying: "I have no worries about what I got." He was relieved about this.It is unclear which of these two conversations came first. In short, the situation at that time was already very obvious, as long as you think about it a little, you will come to the same judgment. King Qin and King Jin died one after another.King Yan is the only one who has heavy troops to pose a threat to the imperial court. While Zhu Yuanzhang was paying heavy responsibilities to the north of King Yan, he also took precautions against him. When Zhu Yuanzhang was dying, the emperor's grandson Zhu Yunwen and the Fuma Duwei Meiyin were by his side.Zhu Yuanzhang told Zhu Yunqi: "The King of Yan must not be ignored." Then he said to Mei Yin: "You are old and faithful, and you can entrust the young master." Then he took out the oath and will and handed it to Mei Yin, and said: "Dare to violate Heaven, you will attack them for me." At that time, Qi Tai and Huang Zicheng were also ordered by Gu. Zhu Yuanzhang finally passed away. He left the last imperial edict, which said: The emperor's imperial edict said: "I have received the order of the emperor, and I have given the order to the world. I will stop the army to prevent disasters and chaos, and the people will live in the city. I will caress and control it to fulfill the order of heaven. It is now thirty-one years old."Worry about danger.Work hard every day, and focus on benefiting the people. However, I started from humble beginnings, and there are no ancients with great ambitions. I like good and evil, and there are not many of them. This year's seventy one day, the strength of the muscles is weakening, and I worry day and night, fearing that it will not end, now I have the principle of the nature of all things, is there any reason to think about it?Emperor Taisun Renming filial piety friend. When the world returns to the heart, it is advisable to ascend to a high position, to be diligent in civil affairs, to be assisted by Chinese and foreign civil and military officials, to bless our people, and all funeral ceremonies are the same as Chinese.Announce the world, so that I know what I mean. For this reason, the mountains and rivers of Xiaoling Mausoleum have not been changed. 1. All the subjects of the world are ordered to release their clothes for three days after coming out, and there is no prohibition on marriage and drinking. 2. The people who have no hair come to the palace crying, and all those who come to the palace cry fifteen times each, mourning, and the ceremony is over.Don't be good at crying unless it's dawn. 1. For mourners and mourners, no clothes should be worn, belts no longer than three inches, and no chariots or weapons. 1. The kings are not required to go to Beijing when they cry in their own countries. Chinese and foreign officials guarding the country are not allowed to leave Xindi without authorization. They are allowed to send people to Beijing. 1. The civil and military yamen where the kingdom is located, the sergeant, will listen to the imperial court's restraint from now on.The guard officer, Jun Wang, punished himself. 1. Those who are not in the order are all engaged in the same order. Therefore, this is an imperial edict, and I think it should be known. In addition to the routine funeral arrangements, the posthumous edict requires that "the kings come to their own countries with tears and do not have to go to Beijing", and "the sergeants of the civil and military yamen where the kingdom is located will listen to the imperial court's restraint in the future", and their words are not in vain.It has two meanings. One is that the kings have the responsibility of the imperial family of the screen vassal, and they are not allowed to leave their posts in this extraordinary period to prevent the enemy from taking advantage of it.The second is to prevent the kings from leading troops to Beijing with the funeral of their uncles, posing a threat to the little emperor. Besides, Zhu Di heard the news of Zhu Yuanzhang's death and led the army to Beijing for the funeral.Arriving in Huai'an soon. After discussing with Zhu Yunqi, Qi Tai and Zhu Yunwen sent someone with an imperial edict to order the kings to return to their own kingdoms according to Taizu's edict.Zhu Di was furious when he saw this imperial talisman, and still ordered to enter the boat.Only because he saw that Jiangkou had been guarded by troops, he did not give an order. At that time, all the princes went to Beijing to attend the funeral, and Zhu Di was blocked, but there was nothing he could do.Monk Daoyan said to King Yan: "Your Majesty even crossed the river with filial piety, but he violated the edict and was not filial. I hope that Your Highness will develop the power of a dragon and a tiger. In the future, when the wind and cloud will be felt, and the wings will be held high, the river will only throw whips. It can be broken, why bother with this today!" These words deeply touched Zhu Di's heart. The conditions for crossing the river are immature now, not only will it fail to achieve great things, but it will leave a reputation for being unfilial. So Zhu Di led his troops back to Peiping.Zhu Lu, a native of the Ming Dynasty, believed that it was unwise to forbid the kings to go to Beijing to be buried. He caused a rift between the emperor and the kings.According to the feudal ritual system, the emperor was buried in July, and Zhu Yuanzhang's parents and children should be buried in front of him.Not allowing them to go to Beijing will inevitably make them feel resentful. At that time, the four directions were calm and peaceful, and the country was consolidated. Although the kings respected their uncles and the weight of the vassal kings, they would not use the death of their father to provoke trouble. It is too cautious to use the will to stop the burial. It shows suspicion to the kings, and it is inevitable that the kings will be suspicious in turn. Therefore, he criticized Qi Tai and Huang Zicheng for their short-sightedness.Zhu Lu also said: "If Emperor Wen (referring to Yan Wang Zhu Di) comes first before the imperial edict arrives, it can't be stopped; if it doesn't follow the imperial edict, it can't be stopped." In fact, what Zhu Lu saw was not comprehensive, as mentioned above According to the analysis of the situation, the decree to stop the imminent burial is the result of the situation. It is a superior move, which caught the kings off guard, and the teacher came out of nowhere. However, it can also be said that the kings were content to enshrine the country and stand still, but it was not all due to the effects of edicts and edicts, and they were not yet ready to confront the court.Once the time is right, any edicts and edicts will be ignored. However, Tan Qian even believed that the plot of Zhu Yuanzhang calling Zhu Di to Beijing when he was dying was a forgery in Yongle. He said: At the end of the record, he was ordered to hold the talisman to summon the king of Yan, but those who built the text and used things to correct the imperial edict returned it to Huai'an.In the drama, the fourth son is asked about the future, which is also said in the Yongle Shishi decoration.First, the king of Yan ordered the captives to be prepared, and there was no one who would forget them for a day.Wouldn't you rather spoil and dislike the kings? In short, you can see Gao Huang! He linked the series of edicts that Zhu Yuanzhang had given to the King of Yan on the frontier defense, and thought that Zhu Yuanzhang's shrewdness must be different.I guess it makes sense. The actual record is just to highlight Zhu Di's status. It seems that the emperor's grandson Zhu Yunwen's heir to the throne is decided. But whether the emperor's position can be kept is another matter.
