她又在蓝天白云间飞行了，得在元月十日前返回华盛顿，里根的助手米可尔狄华叮咛过她：“你早去早回，办完事马上就回。我们要为里根办一场最风光的总统就职大典。”然而，再风光的就职大典也不能与她这回访华相提并论，那是为他人作嫁衣裳，而这是自家人的事！自家人，懂么！ 中国驻美使馆就成了娘家的联络处。这幢八层楼的建筑原是温莎旅客，柴泽民尚未到任即买了下来，位于华府的康州大道。华府的麻州大道云集英国、法国、印度、菲律宾、韩国、越南等使馆，因而被称做使馆大道，中国原本也有意在麻州大道设使馆，但寻不着合适的便作罢了。眼下的使馆倒是闹中取静，馆内的空地都用来种花种菜，柴大使得空便松土浇水，另有一番情趣，每逢摘了新鲜的瓜菜，立马写张条子要秘书送到陈香梅家，那份青绿新鲜，常让香梅感动。 1981年春，陈香梅又收到使馆转来的急件，又是舅舅廖承志的亲笔！ 宋庆龄完全同意。 信末“宋庆龄完全同意”字迹潦草，但绝对是宋庆龄亲笔，并有她的英文签名，看来孙夫人已病入膏育。像被电流击中一样，陈香梅全身感到麻辣的痛楚和颤栗。人生的路走到尽头，总是渴望骨肉团聚，亲人相见呵！ 她不敢延误，很快找到了孔令侃。但是因为种种原因，她竟未能跟宋美龄见面！万般无奈，只有将廖公的信请孔令侃转交宋美龄一阅，但得到的回答是不冷不热的一句话：“夫人说，信收到了。” 宋美龄是在自觉地回避？这一步怎么说也是极其重大极其敏感的政治举措，岁月的沟壑太深太深，八十四岁的蒋介石的遗孀终究不过是个年老的女人，她无力跨出这一大步。也许宋美龄是身不由己别无选择？她不仅仅是宋氏三姊妹中最小的妹妹，她还是一种象征、一种符号，哪怕被高举着，也还得受制于举起的手臂。也许宋美龄在等待在寻觅机遇，怎么说她也是一个情感丰富的女人，即便长期的政治生涯冷冻了热血，但是，死意味着什么，她不会不懂，况且她已垂垂老矣。 “廖承志同志在长期的革命斗争中，在社会主义建设事业中，在加强同世界各国人民友好关系和争取世界和平的斗争中，建立了不可磨灭的功绩。他在党内外和国内外都享有盛名。 “廖承志同志的父母是国民党籍著名元老廖仲恺先生和何香凝女士，因而他同包括蒋经国先生在内的现在台湾和其他地方的国民党重要人物，都有过交往。他同港澳同胞和海外侨胞也有广泛的交往。 “廖承志同志的逝世，是我党和我国人民的重大损失，他的逝世适值第六届全国人民代表大会第一次会议之际，更引起民代表们的痛悼。” 这是新华社的报道。虽说“人生七十古来稀”，虽说“生死寻常事”，可是对香梅来说，仍是晴天霹雳。她不相信舅舅去了！他历经磨难又始终乐观坚定，他古道热肠又不失赤子之心，他豪爽风趣又善良可亲，他能诗善画好书法还爱狗，又爱吸烟爱喝酒爱交朋友爱开玩笑，是这样一个活生生的共产党舅舅！她从来就喜欢他。香港的回忆留下的只是零星的几天，而从1981年元旦以来的接触又只能一天一天地记住！命运对她是如此青睐又如此刻薄，她还从未想到过这么快就会失去好舅舅！ 廖公大概也没想到。每年清明，他都要到南京紫金山南麓的天保城下，为父母扫墓。1983年，也不例外。 廖仲恺何香凝合葬的陵墓背倚苍翠的钟山，面临明镜似的前湖，建筑古朴巍峨。1925年8月20日廖仲恺在广州被刺殉难；1935年6月，何香凝从广州运灵柩到南京，9月安葬于此；1937年陵墓碑阙建成。1972年9月1日何香凝以九十五岁高龄在北京逝世，根据她生前的遗愿，9月6日灵柩运到南京，与廖仲恺合葬。这里便烙刻下中国近代史沉重的书页，还有一出并不浪漫只有悲凉的生死恋。 这里的墓道并不像一般的墓道用级级石阶铺就，只是沿斜坡攀登，或许这也是一种象征？尽头倒有台阶，拾级而上，高达4.4米的墓碑雄伟壮观，碑文是“廖仲恺何香凝之墓”，碑阴阴刻为“亲爱精诚”，无论对民族对国家，还是对彼此，这四个字都恰如其分。 清明时节雨纷纷。廖承志在父母亲墓前献上了一大束姹紫嫣红的鲜花。三鞠躬后仰望墓碑，不禁心潮滚滚，缅怀前辈，他还有很多很多的事得抓紧做。 这一天，他赋诗一首：“金陵无限好，来到正清明；信笔纪心事，鲜花唁老亲。”这成了他最后的一首诗。 廖承志去世后，北京来了数次长途电话，柴泽民和冀朝铸也一再请她回北京奔丧，这一年冀朝铸出任中国驻美公使，上任时他还带来廖公的一封亲笔信给香梅呢。香梅怎会不想回北京！可是台湾执意劝她绝对不能去，否则他们太难堪，一点面子也没有了，她咀嚼出“劝”中的难言苦涩。What should she 一个月后，她来到北京廖公家中，灵位设于会客室，遗像下一大捧鲜花，简朴清雅。她对着廖公深深三鞠躬后，仰望遗容，不觉失声恸哭。 廖氏家族是不平凡的家族。1977年纪念廖仲恺何香凝诞辰一百周年之际，发行了纪念邮票。廖氏家族又是不幸的家族。廖仲恺被谋杀，他女儿廖梦醒的丈夫抗战时又在重庆被谋杀，廖家母女两代都是早年丧夫，而且都是被国民党人暗杀！ 舅舅廖承志一生更是历尽磨难，她忆起了1981年元旦邓小平主席和舅舅的谈笑。邓老对她说：“你来京之前我就对你舅舅说，他这个海外关系实在要得，怪不得人家要把他送进牛棚。哈哈，你舅舅是坐牢专家，日本人的牢、荷兰人的牢、德国人的牢、国民党人的牢，哦，还有张国焘的牢、'文革'中的牛棚，他都进去住过，了不起，了不起。”廖公也笑说：“你坐牢的经验不如我，我会画漫画解闷，你不会。”邓老说：“你的桥牌技术可差劲，得努力学习。”舅母经普椿笑着对她说：“他们两人在一起就喜欢抬杠。”她可被这“抬杠”迷住了，瞪着眼儿一眨不眨。这就是老一辈无产阶级革命家的风貌，大风大浪只等闲！他们才是真正地做到了“有容乃大，无欲则刚”。 可是，她却未能给舅舅送丧，这在中国人，是几多伤心的憾事。 她不想再违心。 她要拿出勇气和智慧面对现实。 她的耳畔响起舅舅的话语：“我年纪大了，有生之年当尽我一己之力为中国人做些事，以后的责任就要你们晚辈去努力了。” 外公在世时也说过：“中国政治上的恩恩怨怨总会有一天解决的，做为一个中国人该有奉献与牺牲的精神，大家才有希望。你还年轻，等你将来有出人头地之日，就会明白我的话。” 终于有一天，在台北蒋经国的办公室里，陈香梅开门见山提出：“经国先生，两岸隔绝已经三十多年，人生有几个三十年呢？许多台湾朋友都对我说想去大陆看看亲人，就担心台湾当局的政策和大陆的态度。我说大陆方面是绝对欢迎台胞回去探亲访问的，关键是台湾最高当局表态。经国先生，是时候了。”似乎太突兀又太直露，蒋经国一时竟怔住了，只是定定地看着她，她倒也坦然地看着他。她与蒋经国的关系虽不像与蒋纬国那般随和亲切，因蒋经国性格似更严肃更谨慎，但她总觉得他为人诚恳正直。过了好一会，蒋经国才点点头：“可以考虑考虑。”果然不久台湾当局便准许老百姓到大陆探亲，香梅闻之，欣喜非常，毕竟血浓于水呵。蒋经国先生在去世前，终于解除党禁、解除报禁、准许老百姓去大陆探亲，这实在是顺应民心顺应历史潮流的明智之举。也许她无遮无拦的一席话给了他不算轻的一掌吧。 又有一年又有一天，她在台北时，外交次长章孝慈急急地找到她，告知大陆亲友来信，他生母在桂林的坟冢将被干掉，请她找大陆有关部门说说，作特殊处理才好。章孝严章孝慈这对孪生兄弟的身世已成为公开的秘密，他们的生母章亚若当年在赣南与蒋经国有一段婚外恋情。陈香梅以为，无论从哪个角度来看，章亚若都是一个不幸的女子。她将此事放在心上，到大陆访问时，亲赴桂林向当地政府陈述此事，因牵涉到大规模的建筑施工，当地政府难以作主；陈香梅又向中央领导人陈述此事，章亚若墓得到很体面的处理。这以后，孪生子出资重新修墓。1993年7月东吴大学校长章孝慈率台湾法学代表团来大陆访问，受到中共中央总书记江泽民的接见，有人称章孝慈是蒋氏家族在隔绝44年后回到大陆的第一人。章孝慈祭母心切，抵达桂林时，大雨滂沱，真谓“天若有情天亦老”。雨中墓前，章孝慈诵读情真意切洋洋洒洒的祭文，声泪俱下，如泣如诉。孪生子八个月就离开了母亲的怀抱，对母亲的悼念中融汇的是人生路上艰辛坎坷的沧桑感。这座旧坟新冢，这段过去年代的烽火缘不了情，却总能或轻或重地撩拨着南来北往过客的心弦，于行程匆匆中，有意无意间，感触到什么，品味出什么，却又说不明白。人皆有母，人皆有情，男人与女人的故事永恒地古老又新鲜。这故事这青冢与陈香梅的瓜葛，却鲜为人知。 美国政坛几十年，她接触到的可说是政界第一流人物；作为中美关系海峡两岸间的纽带，打交道的亦是一代风流；充当美国总统特使，频繁地出使世界各国，交往的仍是头脑人物。但是，她始终不能抛却常人的感情，不愿熄灭激情的火焰，什么都用“利害”二字来权衡，没有了感情，人还叫人吗？所以她更愿意观察卸掉政治、外交面具的大人物，从他们一无牵挂天真尚存的言谈举止间，寻觅出常人的情感！伟人本是普通人呵。 始终重感情的她自然也做了不会太少的偏激之事，但是，她是真诚的。当岁月和社会磨炼出她的成熟和深沉后，她最爱说并最爱做的是“两边我都要顾到”。 她与康州大道的中国使馆联系依旧密切。第一任大使柴泽民回国，退休后任中国人民外交学会副会长。第二任大使是章文晋，文质彬彬，满腹经纶；夫人张颖是戏剧家协会领导，两位都是忠厚的读书人。他们常给香梅送去鲜花，香梅最爱使馆种植的菊花，像洋溢着纯中国味的清淡与潇洒。章文晋回国后，任中国对外友好协会会长；1991年3月，他在一次早晨跑步时跌倒而去世，也算是无疾而终的有福人。第三任大使是韩叙，他在美京四年，可谓中美建交后的黄金段。第四任大使是朱启桢，上海圣约翰大学毕业，已在外交部服务了四十年，堪称资深外交家。冀朝铸离美后改任斐济岛大使，再派到英国任大使，最终去联合国任副秘书长，陈香梅说，这是人尽其材。她与他们君子之交淡如水，却硬是淡淡长情，清淡且长久。 但是，她的奉献也并不是所有的人皆能理解的，有的怀疑，有的曲解，有的中伤，她委屈、伤心，但是痴心不改，勇往直前。 1989年陈香梅率美国国际合作委员会主办的工商经贸考察团到中国访问，又一石击起千层浪，在海峡两岸引起不小的震荡。因为这个考察团虽由美国人、香港同胞和台湾同胞组成，但实质上是首批台湾投资访问团，又行于多事之秋，是开路先锋开风气之先耶？是海峡两岸公开会谈不同凡响的开端耶？抑或投机者叛逆者利欲熏心的大动作耶？让岁月去作证吧。 访问团的筹划始于1988年，台湾人报名之踊跃让陈香梅大受感动和鼓舞。里根时代陈香梅当了六年总统府出口委员会副主席，多次率投资访问团跑遍世界收效颇大，这工作对于她来说驾轻就熟。但她深知浩浩荡荡的两岸行可不能等闲视之。组团前先向美国国务院和商务部打了招呼，又得到北京方面的热烈欢迎，在华盛顿时恰逢台湾经济部长陈履安来美参加经济协会会议，她又将组团之事告知，陈履安倒也淡淡地说：“这是民间的事。”既如是，她就大刀阔斧又沉稳细心地干开了，并且不发布任何新闻，以免节外生枝。 然而，世上无不透风之墙，事情还是传开了。陈履安在台湾公开责备她，一些报纸也对陈香梅进行攻击，陈香梅却仍将台北当做自己的家。一天中午，台北的旧友新朋在来来大饭店十七楼为香梅举办小型宴会，没想到许多陌生人蜂拥而至，男女老少举着鲜花、擎着花篮、捧着各式各样的礼物盒要见陈香梅女士。陈香梅怔怔地站了起来，一时间演讲天才竟说不出一句话！陌生人群其实多互不相识，有台北的，还有从台中、台南、嘉义、新竹等地赶来的，人声鼎沸，本地方言、国语、英语嘈嘈杂杂一片，表达着对她的谢意。她不禁茫然，为什么谢她呢？一个中气十足的中年汉子以压倒一切的声势大叫：“陈香梅女士你对台湾是真正的好！”霎时周遭变得寂静，寂静中一白发苍苍的老者颤声说：“你懂……懂得中国人的心……”她的喉头哽噎，她的心在极度的欢乐与极度的苦痛中窒息，她本来就是一个中国女人，谁谢谁啊！她向父老兄弟姊妹们深深地行下一鞠躬礼，泪水早已夺眶而出。 像是与十七楼震撼人心的场面相呼应，楼下正出演着一幕闹剧，几个腰圆膀乍的彪形大汉诈诈唬唬，骂骂咧咧，挥胳膊弄腿，说要打那些到大陆去的人。后总算被来来大饭店的人好说歹说给请了出来。真是“来来来”，人上一百，形形色色。 虽说虚惊一场，可大姐静宜忧心忡忡，劝她三思而行。枪打出头鸟，出头的椽子先烂，在岁月长河中已历经六十四个春秋的她不会不懂，但是认准了的事就做，不屈不挠已凝进她的血液中，成为生物属性了，她不想也不能后退，尽管访问团的成员在软硬兼施中已退出一半，只剩下三十多位了。 1989年冬，代表团全体成员在香港集合，由香港飞往北京，然后依次访问上海、福州、厦门和广州，再回香港。陈香梅任代表团团长，副团长是台湾人朱伯舜和美国人郝福满。中国接待单位是国务院外经贸、侨务办公室、地方工商联和中国对外友协。负责友协美大洋司的主任是李小林，李小林工作勤奋，一口流利的英语，长相又极亮丽，陈香梅与她相识好些日子后，方知她是李先念的小女儿，所以陈香梅对这位不骄不躁的女子评价颇高。 在北京，访问团受到最高礼遇，住进了原本是中国政府招待外宾的钓鱼台国宾馆，而且是十八号总统楼！总统楼是用来招待外国元首之处，听说英国女皇伊丽莎白夫妇、里根总统夫妇访华时就住在此楼。雕栏玉砌、宫殿楼阁、花木繁茂、流水潺潺，宛若人间仙境。访问团中不少商界人物，真有受宠若惊的诚惶诚恐感。陈香梅不觉打趣道：“你们此生大概只有此一回住这栋宾馆，除非有朝一日你们中的哪位做了总统。”众人倒也不恼，没有这位响当当的陈香梅，他们怕也没有今日，至少没这么快吧。江泽民总书记和李鹏总理还接见了他们，且莫说商界人士全是钻在钱眼里的，这一回他们在投资考察之外收获到了更重要的东西，实实在在感受到母亲怀抱的温暖，寻到根了。 在上海，他们受到上海市长朱基的热情款待。汽车大王、上海工商联主席刘靖基老先生在他的会馆隆重招待访问团。刘老的小姨子便是台北女企业家吴舜文，而朱伯舜的九十岁的老母仍居住在上海，访问团中还有几位上海人，正是“少小离家老大回，乡音未改鬓毛衰，儿童相见不相识，笑问客从何处来”！他们不是客，是同祖同宗的中国人。 在福州、在厦门，王兆国省长向访问团展示了这方水上最理想的投资环境，那与台湾相通的语音、习俗，还真对访问团团员们有着别样魅力呢。 在广州，叶选平省长的晚宴又是另番情趣。主客皆可即兴赋诗高歌，其乐陶陶。粤剧名演员红线女为大家唱了一曲，唱前说道：“叶省长有命我
