Chapter 1 1. Lone goose

Everyone walks along the ferry of life in a hurry or slowly, deeply savoring the sweetness and pain brought about by the process of life. Do you believe in past lives?Buddhists say that there is a cause in the past life, and there is an effect in this life.Maybe you were just an ordinary plant in your previous life, and you turned into a human in this life, just to wait for an agreement, to fulfill a long-cherished wish, or even to repay an unresolved love debt.Everyone walks along the ferry of life in a hurry or slowly, deeply savoring the sweetness and pain brought about by the process of life.In the ordinary fleeting years, I can see all the spring flowers and autumn moons, and bear birth, old age, sickness and death.

Time is as deep as the sea, and the past cannot be salvaged. Even if it is salvaged, it is only some incomplete memories, which cannot make up for so many longing hearts. It is said that life is like a play, as long as you put on secular clothes, you will be your true self inside and outside the play.Open when it's time to open, and end when it's time to end. You can be very involved or indifferent. But in the end, they are all just people in the world, and they cannot be returned to others. When we turned around and left, these people who walked into the play wondered if they could get out of the dream weaved with a lifetime?

In an early autumn season more than a hundred years ago, in Yokohama, Japan, an ordinary life came to the world in this romantic cherry blossom capital - Dongying Island.Like other lives, he came silently, without any indication, and even a little out of date.He is Su Manshu, a man of noble and humble flesh and blood. No one knows what kind of life this weak life will have in the future, will it be endless or bleak? It wasn't until later that I realized that he was like a wandering lone goose, flying across thousands of mountains and rivers, flying over the noise and loneliness of the world of mortals, from abjection to glory, from prosperity to extinction.

The Su family is a prominent family in Guangdong. His father Su Jiesheng inherited the wealthy family business and went to Yokohama, Japan to do business, dealing in cloth and silk in Suzhou and Hangzhou, and later switched to tea, creating a brilliant career.Su Manshu's biological mother is Japanese, and she has a simple but beautiful name, Ruozi.Su Jiesheng once married Ruozi's sister Hehexian as his concubine, but he had a private relationship with Ruozi. Without a real name, Ruozi gave birth to Su Manshu, whose baby name was Sanlang. It is said that three months later, Wakako died of illness. This weak Japanese woman passed away with infinite sadness and reluctance when she looked at the infant child. Her death held some kind of cause and effect in the dark, so that this child who lost his mother since childhood also lost the warmth and happiness that a child should have enjoyed. His coolness started at this time, and he has been entangled with him for a lifetime, never leaving him.

After Ruozi's death, Jaishan Su didn't want to mention this dewy relationship, he just regarded it as a past event and let it go.In order to avoid some troubles in life, he lied that Su Manshu was born of Hehexian. For this reason, later generations have different opinions on Su Manshu's life experience, because they want to know what kind of unusual life experience this legendary figure has, but they ignore that life is ordinary, and what is extraordinary is the long journey of life through wind and rain. It is the tolerance and self-cultivation in a person's bones. The Buddhists have said that everything you have in this life is actually brought by your previous life.Su Manshu has become attached to the Buddha in this life, so his extraordinary talent and courage are related to his previous life.Su Manshu finally crossed the barriers of the world of mortals, and lived his life in cassock and shawls. This is the so-called destiny.Maybe he asked countless times in front of the Buddha, what was the previous life, a green lotus lamp?Only then will there be the flickering and extinguishing of this life, as if you want to do your best to bloom your own brilliance, so the process will be exhausted in a short time. The so-called deep love will never last, and the strong will be humiliated, which is best interpreted in him.

Before he was five years old, Su Manshu lived with his adoptive mother He Hexian. At that time, he didn't know honor and disgrace, and he didn't know how to feel warm and cold. When he was six years old, his father brought him back to his hometown in Lixi Village, Xiangshan County, Guangzhou, where he lived with his aunt Huang and Da Chen. The deep house compound, vermilion doors, luxurious halls, carved ancient windows, and a Sujia alley leading to wealth and prosperity, but inside it has locked too many people's feelings and worldly conditions. This place, which Su Manshu called his hometown, contains the ancient oriental mystery and spiritual ancestral home, which gave him a beautiful and rich imagination. But this old house can't live in a wild goose that crosses the ocean, he can't dream here, and he can't put his poetic youth here.Reaching the depths of life, what he touched was humiliation and suffering, hurt and helplessness.

Su Manshu was physically weak since he was a child, and this wealthy family brought him only discrimination and torture, which made his young heart full of the bitterness of the world.Although it is said that "Heaven will send a great mission to the people, you must first suffer your heart, toil your muscles and bones, and starve your body..." But the ruthlessness of reality is a sharp sword, cutting off all your self-esteem and pride, and hurting you. I'll leave you bruised and bruised, nothing can be added.Until many years later, even though Su Manshu was free and unrestrained and had a pleasant disposition, whenever there was no sound in the silent night, if he lightly touched the scabbed wound of childhood, it would still hurt, even bloody. This is the imprint, engraved with a humiliating and sad past.

Su Manshu went to a private school when he was seven years old. When he first came into contact with writing, he was deeply attracted by the living and spiritual square characters. In the book, he found the gorgeous theme of life, and found the beauty and sincerity that he had never seen in life. The long-term bullying has made him withdrawn and taciturn. Only in the vast sea of books can his thoughts be endless and boundless.Although words are good medicine blindly, they can save the weak soul, but they cannot save the painful body.Da Chen's meanness and viciousness caused him to suffer unimaginable disasters.Once he was seriously ill, and he was abandoned by his family in the woodshed, dying, and no one cared about him.Maybe it was because he deserved his life. After waking up, he escaped from the home that he hated. When he was helpless, he walked into the temple.

It was the distant bell that summoned him. The compassionate Buddha said that he wanted to save the dreamer in the world. At a young age, Su Manshu went to Guangzhou Changshou Temple to become a monk, not because he saw through the world and realized the principles of Zen, but because the secular world did not give this lone goose a nest that could shelter from the wind and rain. This place, known as the pure land on earth and the paradise of lotus flowers, cannot afford the prosperity of the world, but it can give him peace and tranquility. He knelt on the futon and raised his eyebrows to look at the Buddha. The Buddha wanted to save him and teach this ignorant child to learn to tolerate and let go.But he was not bound by the world, and he still had obsessions, desires, and reluctance in his heart. On the day of receiving the precept, he ate pigeon meat, violated the rules, and was expelled from the temple.Any place in this world has its untouchable boundaries. If you deviate from the line, even the compassionate Buddha will be forced to be ruthless.Although Buddhism is boundless, it cannot change the number of days at will and turn the world around.

The doomed fate cannot be easily escaped, and Su Manshu went back to the home that made him hate after going through many twists and turns. When he was nine years old, his father Su Jiesheng evacuated Yokohama, Japan, and returned to his hometown due to business failure. That prominent family that was in its heyday has gradually come to an end of decline. The so-called prosperity will decline, and when the water is full, it will overflow. Sometimes, human efforts to retain it are futile.Jaishan Su rushed to Shanghai to do business in order to reorganize his poor family business.Thirteen-year-old Su Manshu packed his simple luggage and walked out of the deep Su Lane to live with his father in Shanghai.Since then, he has bid farewell to his hometown forever.

He still remembers that he learned to let go of Buddhism, so he let go of the humiliation of the past, and at the turning point of his life, he chose to rush to the colorful spring like everyone else. The sound of the waves on the banks of the Huangpu River stirred up the long-spent longing in the young man's heart. The era Su Manshu lived in was half of the Qing Dynasty and half of the Republic of China. Such a turbulent period of dynasty change made a man who was cast by blood deeply understand that he should have broader and more ambitious ambitions and dreams. On the magnificent sea, he saw that his life was destined to be extraordinary, and he was destined to write a story of storm and legend with blood and tears. In the turbulent age, he is still the lone goose, but with full wings, he already has enough strength to resist the wind and rain in the world. The decline and decay of the world made him find a reason to fly, and he had a reason to be exiled, to break through the dust net of the world, and to accept a bigger storm in the torrent of smoke. At the age of fifteen, he went to Japan with his cousin to study. This lone goose flew across the sea, not to find a shelter from the wind and rain, but to throw his years into the flowing time.Use parting in exchange for a new start, and see how a fate rearranges his life.
