After the Reform Movement of 1898 failed, Liang Qichao was wanted by the Qing government, and the Japanese government came forward to rescue him. Japanese Minister Lin Quanzhu cut off Liang's long hair, put on a kimono, disguised himself as a hunter, and fled all the way to Japan.During his 14-year stay in Japan, Liang also relied on the help of the Japanese government and Japanese friends all the year round. He had a good impression of Japan and "felt the Japanese people are lovely and respectable."But after the War to Protect the Country, he was surprised to find that "the Japanese are terrible and hateful", and he has always emphasized the need to be vigilant against Japan.

Faced with the accusation of ungratefulness from the Japanese, Liang Qichao replied: "Anyone who treats me with justice, no matter what country, is my friend; anyone who treats me with disrespect, no matter what country, is my enemy." After the failure of the Reform Movement of 1898, when Liang Qichao was in exile in Japan, he wrote the novel "The Future of New China". "Luo" means "Aixinjueluo", "Zaitian" is the homonym of Zaitan, and "Luo Zaitian" means Emperor Guangxu (it is also said that Luo Zaitian refers to Aixinjueluo who is about to step down). The second president was "Huang Keqiang", (Huang Xing, another saying means that all descendants of Yan and Huang are self-improvement).

When Liang Qichao debated with the revolutionaries, he said that the Chinese "do not have the qualifications to be citizens of the republic". Therefore, "rather than a republic, it is better to have a constitutional monarchy; rather than a constitutional monarchy, it is better to be an enlightened autocracy."When the Qing government was preparing to establish a constitution, Liang said to Kang Youwei: "Today, our party's life-and-death struggle with the government is still the second righteousness, and the revolutionary party's life-and-death struggle is the first righteousness. If there is the other, there will be no me, and if there is me, there will be no other."

In the winter of 1908, Liang Qichao wrote an article in "Xinmin Congbao" to criticize the leaders of the revolutionary party: "You cheat people to death, and you enjoy high-rise luxury houses. They are just 'remote revolutionaries'." Liang Qichao's article aroused great interest among overseas Chinese. There was a great repercussions, and a wave of criticism of the leaders of the revolutionary party was set off. Yang Du organized a security meeting and supported Yuan Shikai to proclaim himself emperor. So he sent Jian Nianyi and Tang Xuedun to win over Liang Qichao, hoping that Liang could be used for himself.Xu Fosu, Yuan Siliang and Cai E were quite worried, and the three of them discussed in secret: "Ren Gong's eyes are higher than the top, and he is ashamed to be a queen. It is better to set up a different style. With Ren Gong as the leader, we can reach the same goal as Yang Xizi." Unexpectedly, Xu et al. Before it was good, Jian and Tang returned in frustration. It turned out that after the two met with Liang, before they could persuade him, Liang took out an article criticizing Yuan Shikai's restoration, "The So-called Problem of the National System" and showed it.Jian and Tang had no choice but to persuade Liang to delete some words that were too intense.Liang sent a letter to Yang Du saying: "Although we disagree, our personal friendship is strong. From now on, we will do our own thing. We dare not use private to abolish public, and we don't have to use public to harm private!"

Kang Youwei supported Zhang Xun's restoration, while Liang Qichao and Duan Qirui fought against Zhang Xun.Someone asked Liang Qichao: "My son throws a pen into the army, and if he is strong, he will be strong. In the past, Yu Gong used his son to wash children, and he couldn't bear to use his master's way to rebel against his master. Today, I have my teacher, Mr. Su, assist the new dynasty. My son denounces the crimes of the restorationists and leaves no room for them. I don’t know how it makes my teacher feel.” Liang Qichao replied: “Although the friendship between the teacher and the younger brother exists, the political views have long been different, and I can’t be in the same mud with my teacher.”

After Sun Yat-sen's death, Liang Qichao told the Beijing Morning Post that Sun Yat-sen "served the end without any means", so "it is impossible to judge his true value". On the "Double Tenth Day" in 1925, Tsinghua University scheduled a commemorative meeting on October 9. Liang Qichao was arranged to speak at the meeting, but Liang misremembered the time of the commemorative meeting. On the day of the meeting, he was not on campus, so the university had to cancel his speech.Later, he published the speech he had prepared for the meeting in "Tsinghua Weekly", with a total of more than 13,000 words. In the speech, he scolded the Kuomintang, Sun Yat-sen, and the Communist Party one by one, and slammed the Republic of China as a "dissatisfied party". Fourteen-year-old little ancestor."

On May 11, 1927, Liang Qichao mentioned the fear of the Communist Party in his letter to his eldest daughter, Liang Sishun, when he mentioned the fear of the Communist Party: "The situation in Beijing is safe now, but there are many hidden dangers. …When the southern party army has reached the ebb tide, its power cannot invade the north, but the toxins of the Communist Party have spread deeply in society, and the whole country is only becoming chaotic day by day, and there is no one in the whole country who can solve the catastrophe... ...In two weeks, I will leave the school and go to Beidaihe, and you can send your letters to Tianjin or Beidaihe."

Liang Qichao also described his fear of the current situation in another letter: "I planned to leave school during the summer vacation, but the situation in the north has changed suddenly in the past two days. I connected the phone in the city yesterday and today, urging me to hurry, but I fled in a hurry. It's so ridiculous. Fortunately, the proofreading has just been completed, and this year's class is finally complete, and my conscience is very passable. I checked my luggage today, and hurriedly took Lao Baibi (Liang Sili's nickname) to the grave in the afternoon Take a look, stay up all night, finish school work and other chores by lighting candles, enter the city tomorrow, and drive to Tianjin the next morning... Maybe the Tianjin Concession can barely live, go out for a few days to see how the situation is, and then make a decision. I have no choice but to flee to Japan, probably not. I am not in any particular danger, as long as the place is peaceful, I can disappear and stay there for a few days, but Beijing is extremely dangerous, and I am afraid that my second uncle will also flee."

Liang Qichao was full of praise for Japanese and British cultures, and believed that: "China has made progress once it has been externalized." But when Meng Lu called for the replacement of the Chinese educational system with the American educational system, Liang Qichao disagreed and pointed to the rice bucket on the dining table. Said to the student Huang Boyi and others: "This is a rice bucket, it is just a rice bucket for rice! Even if you carve this rice bucket, paint it in gold, it will not change the quality of the rice. But China is so big, it is advocated that 'food is not as good as There are not a few people who are "beautiful tools", let them appreciate their idiot art!"
