Monk Huitian of Shuiyun Cave, the lower courtyard of Xuefeng Temple in Nan'an, asked Master Hongyi to go and have a look.Hongyi readily accepted the invitation.Shuiyun Cave is really simple, and even the mage's bed is made of two unloaded door panels, but Hongyi likes it very much, agrees with it, and decides to celebrate the New Year here. Huitian is used to laxity on weekdays, but Master Hongyi lives a rigorous life, with an extremely regular daily schedule. One day, Huitian forgot to boil water for the master, but the master didn't blame him, but he insisted on drinking raw water, Huitian felt very sad.Another time, Master Hongyi picked up a few small white radishes from near the kitchen and told Huitian that eating raw radishes is very nourishing.Huitian was very ashamed, because he thought these radishes were too small and threw them away when he was washing the vegetables. He told the mage that if he wanted to eat radishes, there were plenty of them in the field, so he wanted to go to the field to dig some good ones. The mage refused, saying that the small one was just as good and shouldn't be wasted. He rinsed it with water, put some salt, and ate it with relish. From then on, Huitian never spoiled anything again.
