On August 28, 1945, Mao Zedong went to Chongqing to negotiate. On the afternoon of September 1, Mao Zedong, accompanied by Zhang Zhizhong and Shao Lizi, went to the Sino-Soviet Cultural Association to participate in the cocktail party celebrating the signing of the "Sino-Soviet Treaty of Friendship and Alliance" and to visit the Soviet photo exhibition.Ma Yinchu was invited to attend the reception as the dean of the Business School of Chongqing University. This is the first time Mao Zedong and Ma Yinchu met.At the meeting, they exchanged greetings. After the meeting, Mao Zedong invited Ma Yinchu to his residence for a two-hour talk.

On the day Mao Zedong entered Peiping in March 1949, Ma Yinchu also went to Xiyuan Airport to welcome him and attended the special banquet that Mao Zedong had arranged that night.Later, Ma Yinchu participated in the preparations for the meeting of the New CPPCC and was elected as a member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC at the same time as Mao Zedong. On October 1, Ma Yinchu participated in the founding ceremony on the Tiananmen Gate, and watched Mao Zedong raise the first five-star red flag to the blue sky of the motherland. In June 1951, Ma Yinchu became the president of Peking University. In the autumn of that year, Ma Yinchu held a meeting in Zhongnanhai, met Mao Zedong, and said to him: "If you want my brother to make Peking University a first-class institution, you must support my work." "Mr. Ma, what kind of support do you want from me? "Mao Zedong asked with a smile. "Nothing else, I just hope that the chairman can approve whoever is invited to give a lecture at Peking University, please don't refuse!" "This is easy." Ma Yinchu's voice just fell, Mao Zedong then said humorously: "I approve! Mr. Ma Principal, I will give you this "Shangfang Sword"!" After Ma Yinchu got the "Shangfang Sword", he invited many party and government leaders to give speeches at Peking University, such as An Ziwen, Deputy Minister of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Vice Minister of the Central Finance and Economics Committee. Bo Yibo, the director, Nan Hanchen, the governor of the People's Bank of China, and even Premier Zhou Enlai.

On the eve of the National Day in 1951, Ma Yinchu said to the students who were about to participate in the parade: "Tomorrow, when you walk through Tiananmen Square, I will point it out to Chairman Mao and tell him that this is the Peking University team!" Ma Yinchu did what he said. When the Peking University student parade passed by holding a model of the Red Building, he pointed to the team and said to Mao Zedong: "Chairman, this is the Peking University parade." Mao Zedong nodded immediately, waved to the Peking University parade, and said Turning around, he asked, "Mr. Ma, is the Red Building still the same?" "Everything is still the same, not damaged at all!" It rained heavily.Mao Zedong looked at the parade and said with concern: "Mr. Ma, your students are caught in the rain. I will send you a call to inform the school and ask the cafeteria to prepare ginger soup for everyone!" Ma Yinchu was very moved and said emotionally: " Thank you Chairman for your care!" After the parade, Ma Yinchu returned to school by car and saw the students drinking ginger soup in the cafeteria. He excitedly told everyone about the conversation with Mao Zedong on the Tiananmen Gate Tower and encouraged the students: "Students will work harder in the future. Forge ahead, and don't disappoint Chairman Mao's care."

On March 2, 1957, at the Supreme State Council attended by Mao Zedong in person, Ma Yinchu once again elaborated on the population issue.Mao Zedong said with a smile: "Whether the population can be turned into a planned production, research and experiments can be carried out. Mr. Ma said very well today! In the past, his opinion, "Let a Hundred Flowers Let a Hundred Flowers Bloom" was not released. It is planned to be released, but people oppose it, just don't want it. He said that today he can speak freely." Ma Yinchu was greatly encouraged by Mao Zedong's words. So on April 27, a special report on "New Population Theory" was made to the teachers and students of the school.Later, on the basis of this report, it was processed and compiled into an article "On the New Population", which was published in the "People's Daily" on July 5.

After that, the chairman gave an order, and all the spearheads were directed at Ma Yinchu.Ma Yinchu was forced to resign as the president of Peking University.Despite this, Ma Yinchu's respect for Mao Zedong is still sincere and pure. When he saw the tendency of formalism and vulgarization in studying Mao Zedong's works and engaging in Mao Zedong's personality cult, he was deeply worried. At a meeting, someone said that the four volumes of "Selected Works of Mao Zedong" would still be applicable after one or two thousand years.Hearing this, Ma Yinchu couldn't help but "shudder".He said: "This kind of compliment to Chairman Mao is a cult of personality. This cult of personality is a 'sugar-coated cannonball' to destroy Chairman Mao." The lesson of being accused after being deified, don't engage in personal superstitions. He worriedly said that engaging in a personality cult "has harmed Mr. Mao" and "we must love Chairman Mao"!
