After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, after learning, Jin Yuelin said: “The most important question for intellectuals is who to serve. In politics, I follow Chairman Mao and accept the philosophy of revolution, which is actually accepting historical materialism.” After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Jin Yuelin took the lead in offering a major course in Marxist philosophy at Tsinghua University, and modestly compared himself to a first-year student: this year is a first-year student, and next year is a second-year student. There will always be progress in ten or eight years.Said: "Because Marxism saved China, I gave up my previous academic philosophy and became a Marxist."

From 1951, Jin Yuelin began to criticize himself from the perspective of Marxism.Jin Yuelin later said in his memories: His courage came from the demonstration of Premier Zhou Enlai.Zhou Enlai publicly admitted that he had made mistakes at the mobilization report meeting on intellectuals' thought reform. Jin Yuelin joined the China Democratic League in 1953 and the Communist Party of China in 1956.He said: "After liberation, we spent a lot of time studying politics and correcting our political attitude. People like me have the conditions to fight for joining the League and the Party. Can I not fight for it? Yes, I am a person who engages in abstract thinking. , but after all, I am a living, concrete person.”

At the beginning of Liberation, Jin Yuelin was invited to Huairen Hall and met Mao Zedong. Mao Zedong clearly said to Jin Yuelin: What you did is still useful!Jin Yuelin immediately found his place in the new society. During the Spring Festival of 1956, when Mao Zedong hosted a banquet for intellectuals, he said to Jin Yuelin: Mathematical logic is important and should be developed. You should write a book to introduce mathematical logic. I would like to read the book when it comes out. In April 1957, a debate broke out in the field of logic. Mao Zedong invited Jin Yuelin again when he met with representatives of the field of philosophy and logic. In 1959, under Mao Zedong's instruction to "learn some logic", Jin Yuelin led his colleagues to start the reform of logic textbooks and the popularization of logic.

Chairman Mao once said to Jin Yuelin: "You need to get in touch with the society." Mr. Jin is already eighty years old, how can he get in touch with the society? He made an appointment with a man who rides a flat tricycle, and he will take him around Wangfujing every day. Once, Jin Yuelin bought a high-end leather hat for a few hundred yuan on a whim in Wangfujing. The aftermath of the lifestyle remains unresolved.Class nature dominates his logic of thinking. Jin Yuelin's niece came back from the United States to visit him. When he learned that his niece had become an American citizen, he kicked her out without saying a word.

Jin Yuelin wrote an article titled "I Didn't Become a Public and Selfless Communist".He joined the party in 1956, but he said that after joining the party, his lifestyle has not changed much.He said, "I still wear Manchu robes in winter. Someone once criticized me kindly in Wangfujing, saying: 'Old man, don't wear your robes now.' But I still haven't changed." Jin Yuelin once said: "I have cultivated people who only play conceptual games, do not care about politics, and are even reactionary. For example, Yin Fusheng (Yin Haiguang) is a reactionary I have trained. He is now serving the Chiang gang in Taiwan. "I advocate a purely technical view of logic and a view of genius education. In this regard, I especially praise Wang Hao. He is still staying in an American university and serving American imperialism."

In 1958, Jin Yuelin participated in a cultural delegation to visit Britain.Wang Hao was teaching at Oxford University at the time, so he arranged for the teacher to give a short report at the Oxford Philosophy Teachers' Association.Jin Yuelin said that because Marxism saved China, he gave up the academic philosophy he studied before and turned into a Marxist.According to Wang Hao's recollection, most of the teachers who attended the lecture felt that such an argument was too simple, "but because Mr. Jin's British English is particularly elegant and beautiful, most teachers in Oxford respect him very much."

Jin Yuelin was already in his 70s when the movement of intellectuals "going to the mountains and going to the countryside" was launched across the country, but he took the initiative to ask for "decentralization".In order to prepare to make a difference after being "decentralized", he spent a period of time reading books on fish farming. He said to others, "If I'm 'decentralized', among the five industries of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, sideline fishery, I can't do agriculture now, forestry, I can't do it, animal husbandry, I can't do it either, sideline business, I don't have skills, and the only thing left is Raising fish."

When Jin Yuelin wrote his memoirs in his later years, the first sentence was: "I had dinner with Chairman Mao four times." He then wrote: "He probably already knew that I was from Hunan. When I sat down, he gave some chili peppers (as if they were specially prepared for him). The most prominent thing this time was that a young man came and hugged Chairman Mao. He was patted on the back lightly and non-stop. At this time, the chairman could not eat the meal. Later, someone (probably a friend of the young man) invited the young man back. This incident fully shows that there is no barrier between the leader of the people and the people. of."

In 1982, Jin Yuelin, who was seriously ill, left a will: "Comrade in charge of the party group of the Institute of Philosophy: I may end soon. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the party, Comrade Mao Zedong, and the working people of the whole country, who saved China. The problem of carve-up has been completely resolved. The four modernization issues will also be resolved. After I die, please donate 3,000 yuan in my passbook to the party. Please don’t hold a memorial service, and let the ashes blow away in the breeze.” In 1982, when Jin Yuelin heard that the Logic and Language Correspondence University had enrolled 60,000 students, he said excitedly, "It's amazing! It's amazing!" The next year, when he heard that the school enrolled 250,000 people, he was even more excited. He expressed his "tribute" to the teachers of Handa University, and said with emotion: "Before liberation, a large university only trained a few or dozens of logic students a year, but now there are tens of thousands, tens of thousands of students a year." One hundred thousand people learn logic, this should be thanks to the great era."
