The first day of the twelfth lunar month in 1771 AD. It was snowing heavily in the capital. The people in the city are immersed in the festive atmosphere of the New Year. No one noticed that two people, one old and one young, with two servants, came to Beijing quietly through the thick snow. The old man looked very weak, but he did not hide his spirit. They found a hotel to stay, and then rest. Two days later, the old man invited his son and some friends to his room, and said to them: "Before I was ordered to enter Beijing this time, I already knew that my life was doomed, but loyalty and righteousness cannot be violated, so I will not hesitate to risk my life." It is very unfortunate that I will die and go to Beijing, and now I guess I may not be able to wait until I meet the emperor, so I will call you here and bid farewell to you."

Everyone was surprised, but the old man's attitude was peaceful, no different from the past. Then, he calmly discussed with everyone the principle of the entry and exit of yin and yang, life and death, and wrote his own couplet in front of the tomb: the mountain is full of fragrant grasses and immortal medicines, and a path of breeze is at the grave of a scholar. At night, the old man passed away talking and laughing at the age of eighty. Emperor Qianlong was very sorry when he knew about it, and allocated travel expenses to the old man's son, asking him to carry the old man's coffin back to the south of the Yangtze River for burial.

This old man is Xu Lingtai, a famous medical scientist in the Qing Dynasty. This Comrade Xu Lingtai is a strange person in the history of Chinese medicine. This person is completely self-taught. He basically read Chinese medicine by himself. !But I searched through his books, trying to sum up his academic ideas, but I found it very difficult. This person belongs to a miscellaneous family, and he uses everything from any genre. The most irritating thing is that besides practicing Chinese medicine, he also does everything. He can do all kinds of things, and all of them are of a high level, which can make people's nose crooked. People who have professionally practiced Chinese medicine all their lives are not as good as him.

One of the things that Comrade Xu is best at is posting, that is, when someone else wrote a book on Chinese medicine, he took it and followed up the post section by section, making many people at that time dare not easily post on the "online" Yes, but his level of follow-up is very high, and his follow-up has achieved great results. At that time, many unhealthy practices of Chinese medicine were scolded by his follow-up. A "long post" "Guidelines for Clinical Syndrome and Medical Cases" by Ye Tianshi, a famous Chinese medicine master in the Qing Dynasty, was published together with Comrade Xu Lingtai's follow-up post.

It is estimated that Mr. Ye will regret posting this post (in fact, it has nothing to do with Mr. Ye, it was posted by his apprentice without authorization). So, what kind of person is he?What contribution did he make to Chinese medicine? Why did Emperor Qianlong summon him to Beijing twice? Next, let us tell the story of Xu Lingtai from the beginning.
