In his later poems, Fu Qingzhu described how Fu Mei ran all the way home: "Running to the West Village (the place where their family lives) at dusk, almost dying and grinding the ditch (almost fell into the ditch). Knock on the door to see grandma, don't believe it is you No. There is a little horse and a little rice, and the vegetables are asked from the neighbors. What a wise old man! After the interrogation was fruitless, in July of the following year, Emperor Shunzhi ordered Fu Qingzhu to be released. People at the time praised Fu Qingzhu for his "magnificence like a rainbow piercing the blue sky". After Fu Qingzhu was released from prison, he once traveled to the south.
