Chapter 1 Daishou anchors dreams, everything becomes simple

There is a story about a donkey who was carrying two bales of hay and was hungry. But which bundle to put down to eat?The donkey kept hesitating and starved to death. This story is a bit exaggerated, but there are many intersections in life, and everyone will wander at the intersections. It is very difficult and painful to make a choice. There are temptations here and there.Which one to choose? All my classmates have gone abroad, should I also go to New Oriental to study and prepare for TOEFL?My quiz is for civil servants, do I have to buy books to review? It was said on TV that there was a person who made a fortune in e-commerce without graduating from elementary school. Do I also want to open a store on Taobao?

Today you hear the excitement in the east and run eastward, and tomorrow you hear the excitement in the west and turn around and run west. After many years, you will become a headless fly, with a hammer here and a mallet here, exhausted and without accumulation.I think that if you feel that you are still young, you must take some time to think about it, not to mention how long it is, that is, in the next 10 to 15 years, what kind of person do you want to be?In the next 10-15 years, what do you most want to achieve? This is the most important. This thing, you can call it a dream, or it can be called a value.

Why?Because once you think clearly, no matter what judgment you make or what choice you make in the future, it will be much easier. If it helps to realize my dream, I will do it; if it doesn't help, I will give up.Anchor your dreams, no matter what temptations or difficulties you encounter in the short term, they will not affect your judgment and choice. In this regard, I am very lucky. I seldom waver in the face of difficulties, and often make decisions with a slap of the head.Because when I was in high school, I figured out what I wanted to do with my life.I don't want to go to a unit that depends on others. I dream of starting my own computer company to edit software, arrange life and destiny by myself, and when it is done, many people will use it. This is very fulfilling.

Once you have that in mind, all the options are really easy. For example, when I was in high school, I won a prize in the National Physics Competition, and many universities were willing to admit me, with various majors. One of the more famous universities wanted to admit me to major in food engineering. My parents were very happy when they heard about it. They had experienced the era of not having enough to eat, and they felt that they would not have to worry about food in the future after taking this major. But I strongly disagree, because I'm not interested in food, I just want to write software. At that time, Xi'an Jiaotong University also came to admit me. I didn't know what Xi'an Jiaotong University was doing at the time, but I thought it was a railway construction university. But Xi'an Jiaotong University asked me to go to the Department of Computer Science, so I went because it met my goal.On the contrary, many of my classmates chose their majors according to whether they were popular or not at the time, and many of them chose international trade. This choice seems very smart, but now it seems that this may not be what they really want, nor may it be a place where they can display their talents.

If you say, my goal is very simple, which is an annual salary of 500,000.For such a goal, my suggestion is that the goal should not be too materialistic.Goals that are too short term and too materialistic cannot be internalized into your dreams.Goals such as annual salary of 500,000 or 1 million may be achieved quickly, and then you lose your dreams and goals. Like some people who received huge demolition funds, you indulge in gambling and ruin your future. or some material goals are difficult to achieve, for example, if you want to become the richest man in China, you may give up soon.In my opinion, only such non-profitable dreams and goals can motivate a person to pursue them continuously in the long run.

When I graduated from college, I was also faced with a choice.Should I go to work in a certain bank in the south and get a high salary of 3,000 yuan a month, or go to a large computer company in Beijing and get a salary of 800 yuan a month?I chose the latter without any hesitation, because only by going to a computer company can I learn how to make software and have the opportunity to realize my dream. Later, I left this computer company to start a business on the Internet. Many people said: You are too courageous to give up your high salary and position. "But I don't think it takes courage. It doesn't suit me anymore, and it can't help me realize my dreams. These things that others think are precious are nothing to me. So, your Dreams and goals are not linked to material, and material will not hinder your choice.

For high school students, the lure might be a major that looks promising. For college students, seduction can be a job that pays well and is envied by everyone. But as you go farther and farther, the temptation of material things is getting bigger and bigger, and you need the firm compass of dreams to guide you even more. Back then, I wanted to leave Yahoo because I couldn’t innovate in it, and many good ideas couldn’t be realized. This kind of atmosphere suffocated me and made me unbearable.Yahoo said that if I resign early, I will deduct 30 million US dollars.Even now, this is not a small amount. Many people feel sorry for me, saying that I should hang out for another year or so.I don't want to mix, and I hate mixing the most. For me, freedom is the most important thing, and doing what you want is the most important thing. So, I started a business again. So, with 360.

It can be said that my dream has never changed until today, but my industry has developed from computers to the Internet and to mobile phones. My goal is very simple. It has always been to make products that no one else has ever thought of. My products can change the way of life and work of millions of people. It can be said that I have realized this dream, or it can be said that I have not realized it, because I think there are more good ideas that can be done. Young people born in the 90s are full of vigor and vitality. You should have better dreams.Hope you all think about your future.Think about what kind of person you want yourself to be when you get together again in 10 or 15 years. This is the most important thing.
