Chapter 3 Chapter Three Lures the "Old Handsome" out of the Cabinet

red wall guard 何建明 20216Words 2018-03-16
Mao Zedong, as the great leader and mentor of the Chinese people, his contribution to the Chinese revolutionary cause and the communist movement is immeasurable, and he dedicated his life to work. When asked about his bodyguards, how many hours did Mao put in each day? They all shook their heads and said, "It can't be calculated." "Mao Zedong's day is different from that of our ordinary people. His day is forty-eight hours." Li Yinqiao, the head of the guard, made such an authoritative conclusion that ordinary people can't understand. Li Yinqiao explained it this way: To calculate Mao Zedong's day, you can't just look at it from waking up in the morning, eating at noon, and going to work in the afternoon.Because Mao Zedong's usual working hours usually started in the afternoon and continued until the next morning. At this time, he began to sleep for four or five hours, and then continued to work until the fourth morning or later. If there were no important activities, Mao Zedong's working hours would be repeated in this way. Therefore, his "day" is actually forty-eight hours. In addition to eating two or three meals in these forty-eight hours, he sleeps for four or five hours. Review documents, read books, talk to people, etc. in the toilet.

Li Yinqiao recalled: "In the early days of the Liberation War, when I was a guard for Zhou Enlai, I knew that the leaders of the central government were surprisingly energetic. They often worked for 10 or 20 hours a day, and sometimes they didn't sleep for several days. When Mao Zedong worked as a guard, it was only when he truly discovered that Mao Zedong had the most energy. In addition to Mao Zedong, the five secretaries of the Central Committee at that time included Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De and Ren Bishi. Since Mao Zedong’s working hours were 48 hours a day It was arranged by Liu, Zhou, Zhu, Ren and other leading comrades who always had to hold meetings with Mao Zedong to discuss important matters, so they often had to follow Mao Zedong. Among them, Mr. Zhu was the oldest and the first I can’t get through it. When the five secretaries have a meeting, our guards have to do some security and service work on the spot, so sometimes I have to go to the meeting place. The leaders have a meeting all night, and often the meeting is open. Mao Zedong’s spirit and thinking are getting better and better. Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai always smiled and waved their hands and said, "Don't wake him up, let the boss have a rest for a while, unless they wake him up when voting on major decisions." "Working continuously for dozens of hours, Liu Shaoqi and Zhou Enlai usually have no problems, but Comrade Ren Bishi has enough. He has high blood pressure, and he is prone to dizziness when he is too nervous. Whenever he feels uncomfortable, I will see his head tilted back. , leaned on the sofa and closed his eyes for a while. At this time, several other secretaries hurriedly advised him to go to rest earlier. At this time, Ren Bishi hurriedly knocked on his big pipe and said: "I am younger than you, you can keep working , I’ll go back and rest first, how can I do that! I should do more work than you!’ That’s what he said, and he did the same thing at work, but he was the first to be exhausted later. Not long after the founding of the People’s Republic , my beloved Comrade Ren Bishi fell ill, but Mao Zedong seemed to be fine. He worked all night, as if we had worked all morning. Our guard team normally has three or four people on duty in turns, and we all have This kind of feeling, a few young men can't match Mao Zedong alone."

"From the perspective of people's life rules, Mao Zedong's working hours don't seem to be very beneficial to his health. Has he or others persuaded him to change this habit?" We then asked Li Yinqiao. "There have been, but it is difficult to work." The chief guard said, "I remember that as early as the 1950s, a fellow and old classmate of Mao Zedong, who was the principal of Hunan No. 1 Normal School at the time, was called Mr. Zhou Shizhao. He went to Beijing I came to visit Mao Zedong and learned about Mao Zedong’s working habit of working according to the moon. Later, I wrote to Mao Zedong to persuade him to change this habit. Mao Zedong wrote back to Mr. Zhou on his birthday this year and said: “Yan Sleeping The fault is being corrected. It has been implemented for half a month, and it has been done according to the sun instead of the moon. But it has been reversed recently. It should be corrected after the New Year. Rest more and pay attention to eating, and it is also being done. In short, as you said, it will If you don’t regard it as a major issue, but not as a minor one, you can hope to correct it.” However, Mao Zedong never got rid of it. As far as I know, Mao Zedong was able to correct this habit until he was seriously ill and unable to move.

"I remember that in May 1957, Voroshilov, then chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union, visited Beijing. When he left Beijing, Mao Zedong saw him off at his lodging. Voroshilov held Mao Zedong's hand tightly and said emotionally: 'My dearest Comrade Mao Zedong, it hurts me to hear that you work day and night and stay up late every day! Remember, for the sake of your Chinese people and your dear Soviet people, please don't stay up late Yes. I used to work all night too, and I broke down. I want you to do the same, say hello to the sun as soon as it rises, say goodbye to it as soon as it sets, and go to rest.' Voroshilov saw that I was there, Then he said: "Hey, dear Comrade Guard Chief, am I right? You have to urge your chairman to do this!" We advised Mao Zedong to pay attention to rest and stay up late, but Mao Zedong didn't listen at all. Later, we gradually discovered that the 48-hour 'day' is Mao Zedong's special law, and others can't change his work and living habits at all."

"People, after all, are not machines. Year after year, if this goes on for a long time, it will affect Mao Zedong's body!" We said with emotion. "That's right." The chief guard said with a deep sigh, "Mao Zedong is the leader of a country with a quarter of the world's population, and his words and deeds, even his hot and cold, have a great impact. In order not to disturb his special life rules, but also to ensure his health, we, the guards who take care of his basic necessities, have spent a lot of thought on this. In a sense, to ensure Chairman Mao’s sleep, let him sleep well. Moderate rest, these are the two most arduous tasks that our guards undertake. About ensuring Chairman Mao's sleep, I have already talked about it. Here I will talk about our adjustment of Chairman Mao's work-rest balance and proper rest. .”

Here is the story the head guard told us—— If you want to wait for Mao Zedong to be all right and take some time to rest, it will always fail, and the guards are all too familiar with this.In a country as big as China, there are so many things waiting for Mao Zedong to deal with, but Mao Zedong loves to read and study. Therefore, it was almost impossible to find a little leisure in his day. On this day, it was the guard Li Liancheng's turn to be on duty. The chief guard told him that when Feng Yaosong was on shift, Mao Zedong never left his desk, so he had to find a way to let the "old man" rest for a while. Li Liancheng accepted this most common and difficult task.He knows very well that sometimes it is more difficult to let Mao Zedong rest for a while than to go to the battlefield to charge the battle. When Mao Zedong was working and reading, if he walked in rashly and said: "Chairman, please take a break." Or pulled Mao Zedong's sleeve and said: "Chairman, let's take a walk outside!" He hates being interrupted by others suddenly. In short, rashness is absolutely unacceptable in front of Mao Zedong, and Li Liancheng and all the guards understand this very well.

Four or five hours have passed. Besides entering the house to offer Mao Zedong cigarettes for tea, Li Liancheng has quietly poked his head in through the door a dozen times to see if there is any "fighter opportunity" to persuade Mao Zedong to rest, but he always shrinks his head in disappointment. Come. More than two hours passed, and the task entrusted to him by the chief guard had not made any progress. Li Liancheng was so anxious that he rubbed his hands at the door. The young man finally lost his temper, and went in again with the thermos bottle. He wanted to use the opportunity of pouring tea to persuade Mao Zedong to take a rest, but he found that the water in Mao Zedong's water glass was still full, yes!Only a few minutes!Li Liancheng knew how impatient he was by looking at his watch. He was a little nervous, fearing that his too much walking would affect Mao Zedong's concentration on his work. He hurriedly pulled his legs back, but stopped again. It will disturb Mao Zedong even more, what should I do?Speak! Not to mention, it looks like Mao Zedong is going to work for more than ten hours. "If we can't take good care of Mao Zedong and let him combine work and rest, it's our guard's dereliction of duty." Li Liancheng thought of the words of the chief guard.

The boy has no way out. "Chairman, it's time for you to rest." He moved his steps carefully and said softly, not even daring to look directly at Mao Zedong. There was no reply, and after a while, Li Liancheng glanced at Mao Zedong. The other party didn't respond, probably didn't hear it!Therefore, Li Liancheng decided to raise his voice. "Chairman, you should take a break!" "Huh?!" Mao Zedong suddenly raised his head in surprise, and asked the guard suspiciously, "What's the matter?" Look, he was so concentrated that he didn't hear what the guard was saying clearly, thinking that something important had happened.

Li Liancheng's hairs stood on end, he hated himself for not grasping his voice well. "No, it's nothing, Chairman." "Oh, then don't make a fuss!" After Mao Zedong finished speaking, he buried his head in his pile of documents. Li Liancheng didn't dare to show his anger, and stood upright on the spot.He wanted to leave, but he didn't dare to move until the "task" was completed.Let's persuade Mao Zedong again, and I am afraid that interference will cause him to get angry again. What a dilemma. Suddenly, he felt someone lightly poke his lower back.Yo, it's the head of the guard!God, the savior is here!

"How is it, the old man didn't rest?" the head guard asked Li Liancheng with his eyes. "No, I can't even insert a needle!" Li Liancheng replied with his eyes. The head guard frowned, not knowing what to do. At this time, Mao Zedong put down the documents in his hand and began to expand his chest. The chief guard and Li Liancheng were very upset: Mao Zedong is going to take a break! However, they immediately realized that this was not the case, and Mao Zedong picked up a book and read it again, without any intention of taking a break. The head guard was also anxious. He has more responsibilities than any guard. So, he had to take "action".The experienced head guard accurately grasped the "frequency" of his voice, and said: "Chairman, it's time for you to rest."

"Huh?" Now, Mao Zedong wasn't surprised or sullen, but asked strangely, "When did you enter the house?" The head guard smiled: "I just came in, Xiao Li has been standing here for about twenty minutes." "What's the matter?" Mao Zedong asked suspiciously. "It's time to take a rest. You haven't rested since yesterday afternoon, and you haven't eaten anything. If you take too long, your body will break down. Take a rest." The head guard advised kindly. "Yinqiao, how do you know that I didn't rest?" Mao Zedong asked with a smile. The head guard was confident: "There is no need to doubt it. From Xiaofeng's class to Xiao Li's class, we haven't seen you move from the table?" "Subjective, one-sided." Mao Zedong raised the hand holding the book and said with a smile, "I have rested at least two or three times." The head of the guard and Li Liancheng looked at each other, not knowing what "superb theory" Mao Zedong had. Sure enough, I only heard Mao Zedong say: "There are various kinds of rest. My rest methods are: reading documents, reviewing materials, or holding meetings or speaking for too long, and my mind is tired. I just take a book and read it. Wouldn't it be like you said that you can change your mind and rest?" "This..." The chief guard and Xiao Li didn't know what to say, they seemed to feel that Mao Zedong's words were not comprehensive, and couldn't think of a more powerful theory to refute him. "Okay, you guys go down, I still have some urgent documents to review." After Mao Zedong said, he got into his pile of documents again. It's hard to say anything now.The head guard and Xiao Li retreated like deflated balls. It is really difficult to "deal with" Mao Zedong! "Silver Bridge! Has the chairman rested yet?" At this moment, Zhou Enlai entered the duty room and asked when he saw him. "Prime Minister, the chairman hasn't rested for twenty hours. He doesn't sleep and doesn't come out to rest for a while. I'm trying to find a way!" The chief guard hurriedly reported. Zhou Enlai also patted his forehead in embarrassment: "During this period, there are many important documents that have to be approved by the chairman. He must be very nervous and will not be able to sleep well. However, you must let him combine work and rest, and do everything possible to let him He rests more." Because of something, Zhou Enlai left a task for the guards and left. "What can we do?" Li Liancheng was anxious and unable to think of a solution, and yelled at the chief guard. "Calm down." The chief guard signaled him to be quiet, and he started to pace up and down in the duty room cabin. Suddenly, he asked Li Liancheng, "Hey, is the boiler room ready for use?" "Boiler room?" Li Liancheng didn't understand why the chief guard suddenly asked this, so he said, "It works, the boiling water I poured just now came from the new boiler room." "Okay, there it is!" The head guard patted his thigh happily, "Come on, come with me." Li Liancheng didn't know what new trick the head guard had.On weekdays, when it comes to "governing" Mao Zedong, the head of the guard has the most ideas, perhaps because Mao Zedong especially trusts him.But today, Li Liancheng was a little puzzled. When he was approaching the door of Mao Zedong's office, he tugged on the sleeve of the head of the guard: "What's going on, head of the guard?" "You, you don't know how to use your brain." The head guard told him softly with a smile, "The boiler room can boil water, the chairman can wash his hands and take a bath, unlike before, we had to rely on us to bring in water basin by basin. The chairman will definitely be as happy about this new change as he was when he discovered the bathroom last time, with this happiness, can we pull him out of the pile of documents?" Li Liancheng slapped his head and laughed when he heard it. He thought of the toilet. In the past, there was no toilet in the yard of Juxiang Bookstore where Mao Zedong worked and lived. The difficulty of going to the toilet not only brings trouble to the workers here, but also inconveniences the guests who come for meetings or visits.Whenever Mao Zedong went to the toilet, he had to go to the backyard. This distance was not much shorter than the way for ordinary people living in Beijing courtyards to go to the public toilet. How to solve this problem? This tossed the scheming chief guard a lot.Later, he finally figured out a good way to build a one-story house close to the rear window of Mao Zedong's office according to the requirements of the bathroom, and then open a door on the wall of the office to connect with the bathroom, so that Mao Zedong's bedroom can be opened. , office and toilet become a complete suite. The guards all said that this method was good, so they agreed on a plan with the masters of the Zhongnanhai repair team, and finished the work together while Mao Zedong was sleeping. After Mao Zedong got up, he found new changes in the office, and he realized that he didn't need to walk more to go to the toilet. "Hey, who of you came up with this method?" Mao Zedong asked with a smile on his face. The head guard hurriedly explained: "It was determined by us and the masters of the repair team." "Okay, this is much more convenient, thank you!" Mao Zedong thanked you repeatedly, and went back and forth in several rooms to inspect carefully, looking very happy. Building the bathroom was considered a good deed for Mao Zedong. It also created an opportunity for Mao Zedong, who hadn't had a good rest for several days and nights, to relax, for which the guards repeatedly praised. The problem of going to the toilet has been solved, but heating is still a problem. If there is no good heating facilities in the house in winter in the north, it will be very sad for a few months. In the past, the house of Juxiang Bookstore was heated by a floor stove. It didn't work, and the guards proposed to install boilers and radiators. The head of the guard and the guards studied it painstakingly, and finally they chose to build a small boiler room in an open space next to Mao Zedong's office. This can not only solve the heating of Juxiang Bookstore, but also provide hot water for Mao Zedong's washing.Using spare time, the guards and the masters of the repair team quickly built the small boiler room, and the guards also specially selected careful guards to be in charge of burning the boiler. Now, of course, the captain of the guard is very happy to hear that the boiler can be used, because he has another "chance".Li Liancheng also suddenly realized, so the two happily walked into Mao Zedong's office. Mao Zedong was still immersing himself in his work, so the chief guard gently stepped forward and reminded Mao Zedong in the most appropriate tone: "Chairman, if you continue like this, you will become a bit bureaucratic." "What, Yinqiao, what did you say?" Mao Zedong felt the suddenness of the chief guard's question, so he couldn't help but put down the document in his hand and became serious. "Old Man" took the bait!Li Liancheng almost laughed out loud, he was overwhelmed with admiration for the chief guard's "brilliant move". "Yes, Chairman, I said that if you just concentrate on your work, you will commit bureaucracy." The head of the guard looked serious.Except for him, probably no one dared to say this in front of Mao Zedong. "Oh, then tell me, where do I have bureaucracy?" Mao Zedong always listened carefully to the words of the head of the guard, and this time was no exception. Seeing that Mao Zedong was serious, the head guard laughed himself first. "Chairman, I mean that you just concentrate on your work and pay little attention to what's going on around you. If you don't believe me, what's new in this office?" Mao Zedong raised his eyes and looked around, but found nothing, so he said: "Could it be that they built another bathroom for me?" Seeing that Mao Zedong had entered the role, the chief guard let go of his courage, stepped forward to help him up, and said, "Come on, come here and take a look." At this time, Li Liancheng also came up, and the two supported Mao Zedong together. Go to the bathroom and turn on the tap. "Chairman, try it." Mao Zedong didn't understand what he meant, so he put his hand under the faucet. "Huh? The water is hot!" Mao Zedong was surprised. "Chairman, we built a small boiler room behind your office. In this way, the problem of heating in winter has finally been solved, and there is no need to pour boiling water everywhere." The chief guard said excitedly, "The most critical part, Chairman, do you still have a boiler room?" Didn't find it!" "What new tricks?" Mao Zedong asked with a smile. Li Liancheng quickly walked to the tub, turned on the faucet, and immediately steaming water flowed into the tub. "Well, the bathing is also automated!" Mao Zedong was very unhappy.Seeing that the time had come, the chief guard stepped forward to unbutton Mao Zedong's coat. "Chairman, if you don't take this first automated hot bath, you will regret it forever!" "Okay, wash, take a hot bath!" Mao Zedong happily accepted the suggestion of the head of the guard. The two were as excited as if they drank a few glasses of fine wine. They rubbed Mao Zedong's back and massaged Mao Zedong vigorously for a full hour.As for Mao Zedong, in the hot water, he sometimes closed his eyes and rested his mind, and sometimes played in the water and made waves. He was rarely happy. "Comfortable, very comfortable, you have done another good thing for me, thank you!" After getting out of the bath, Mao Zedong said happily, and told the head of the guard and Li Liancheng: "I'm going to sleep." "Hey!" The head guard and Li Liancheng smiled at each other, and helped Mao Zedong to the bedroom. During this sleep, Mao Zedong slept for a full eight hours. The guards cheered long live in the duty room several times. There will not be too many opportunities for Mao Zedong to take a good rest in this way, because it is impossible to always build toilets and install boilers. Therefore, in order to truly make Mao Zedong achieve a balance between work and rest, it is more necessary for the guards to attack the needles and seduce them skillfully. There are still opportunities, the key depends on whether the guards can grasp the "heat". It was a few days in a row that the guards were anxious about Mao Zedong's rest. Suddenly, after lunch that day, Mao Zedong walked out of the study and stopped on the steps. He looked up to the sky and took a deep breath, then cleared his throat, and sang "Empty City Strategies" familiar to the guards. The guards immediately burst into smiles.Whenever Mao Zedong sings "Empty City Strategies", good things will happen. At this time, Mao Zedong was generally in a good mood, and he would agree to whatever the guards and family members asked. Here's another chance! The guard who was playing with Li Na and Jiang Qing in Jiang Qing's house quickly hinted at Li Na with his eyes, and the clever Li Na jumped out of the house when he saw that his uncles had sent her an "offensive signal".Jiang Qing also hurriedly followed out. In the corridor in the courtyard, the guard, Jiang Qing, and Li Na stood there together, watching Mao Zedong with his hands behind his back, humming, and circling among the seven green cypresses alone. Mao Zedong suddenly looked up and saw the people standing in the corridor, and he suddenly realized something: "Oh, come and play, let's play!" The guards were so happy that they clapped their hands because they had won again—creating a special atmosphere that made Mao Zedong feel that it was time to "play".Today's "battle plan" is to let Jiang Qing, who is not easy to get along with his beloved daughter, appear in front of Mao Zedong, who is in high spirits. It worked. Jiang Qing, who had repeatedly scolded Mao Zedong behind his back for ignoring others, also seemed a little agitated at this time.Hearing what Mao Zedong said, Jiang Qing immediately responded in a tentative tone: "How about playing mahjong?" The hearts of the guards rose to their throats: What did Jiang Qing do? Mao Zedong is the last person to play mahjong!Fortunately, they immediately had a "savior" - Li Na said: "Dad, are you playing mahjong, just play mahjong!" Mao Zedong was never afraid of all kinds of meanness and unreasonable troubles from Jiang Qing, but he couldn't stand a few coquettish entanglements from his beloved daughter, and replied: "Okay, let's play mahjong!" As if they heard the horn of charge, the guards turned around and rushed into the house with a "wow", those who moved the table moved the table, those who placed the cards placed the cards, cheering and laughing, as if they were celebrating a wedding. "I've been here for so long, and I haven't seen the chairman play mahjong with his family!" Just as a young guard expressed his emotion, Feng Yaosong, an old guard, "kicked" him: "The recruits have only been here for a few days! I and It's the first time the old man has seen him play so happily in the past ten years!" When the table was served, it was a "circle". After the meal was over, the guards went to Mao Zedong's side while the iron was hot, and suggested softly: "Chairman, do you want to eat together?" Opportunities are also rare, especially to eat with one's own children. On weekdays, Mao Zedong always insisted that his children eat in the big cafeteria.Today, the guards have once again mastered the "fire". "Okay." Mao Zedong replied with a nod. It was rare for the family to have a meal together. Being able to pull Mao Zedong out of his office for a while is a happy thing for the guards. For this reason, the guards have spent a lot of thought. Normally, apart from working and reading, Mao Zedong's way of resting is relatively rigid, nothing more than taking a walk, playing mahjong and other things that are really rare in a thousand years. This brings a certain degree of difficulty to the guards' tricks.Fortunately, the guards, especially the head of the guard, were very familiar with Mao Zedong's character, temper, and habits, so they could basically know themselves and the enemy, and won every battle with a difference of seventy or eighty. Another time, the head of the guard followed Mao Zedong to inspect work in the south.Along the way, Mao Zedong either talked to people during the day, or attended various meetings, visited factories and villages, and sat under the lamp at night for a whole night. The schedule is so tight that there are no gaps. The head guard saw it and was anxious.Just a few words of persuasion, Mao Zedong didn't listen at all, and sometimes he couldn't hold it together, so he spread his hands and said, "It's not easy for me to come out once. Now that I'm out, I want to see more and learn more about the situation. If you want to be in Beijing, you two Don't let me move around, can you let me go this time if you have a chance?" Of course the chief guard can understand this, but when he thinks of the responsibilities he shoulders, he will have a sense of mission that cannot be relaxed for a moment. The Shanghai Municipal Party Committee arranged a big hotel. The clever head of the guard lingered outside the door of Mao Zedong's office several times, trying to persuade Mao Zedong to put down the pen in his hand and rest for a while, but he couldn't think of an idea. "Ping! Ping! Ping! Pong!" What sound? The captain of the guard heard movement at the end of the corridor, and stepped forward to open a door.Oh, it turned out that the waiters were playing table tennis. "Head of the Guard, come and play!" "Hey, oh, no no!" The head guard smiled apologetically and exited the door.At this moment, he thought of "a trick".So, he went straight into Mao Zedong's room. Mao Zedong still buried his head in his book, and the smoke lingered in the room. The head guard hurriedly opened a window slightly to let the smoke escape. Then, he walked lightly to Mao Zedong's desk. "Chairman, the waiters in the hotel heard that you are good at table tennis, and they all want to invite you to play!" The head guard began to "play tricks". "Is my level worth showing shame?" Mao Zedong said without raising his head. The head guard pursed his lips, and intentionally raised his voice half a "block": "If you want me to say yes, your table tennis level can now be regarded as 'Amuling'." "What'Amuling'?" Mao Zedong knew the meaning of "Amuling" in Shanghai dialect, so he resolutely put down his pen, got up and waved his hands: "Let's go, see if I'm really 'Amuling'?" The head guard was overjoyed: the old man has been tricked. But his face was still serious, and he pretended not to go: "Where is it, Chairman, I think it's better not to go! You will really be 'Amuling' by then, it will affect your image too much! " When Mao Zedong heard this, he refused to give up, and waved his hand: "Let's go, what image is not image." Wonderful! The head of the guard followed behind Mao Zedong, dancing with joy—he was about to win again! This move is called aggressive method. He knew that Mao Zedong's personality was to love challenges.Whether it is nature, politics, or military, the greater the challenge, the stronger, more persevering, more agile, and more superhuman the courage, perseverance, ingenuity, and wisdom Mao Zedong displayed in it! Today, playing table tennis is nothing compared to winning or losing, but after all, Mao Zedong was "stimulated" out of work, and this is the biggest gain.Could the head guard be unhappy? The appearance of Mao Zedong surprised the waiters who were playing table tennis. They huddled together and cheered. After a while, Mao Zedong got on the table. "Come on, who is the opponent, please come on!" Mao Zedong held a ping-pong board and made a posture of challenge. But the venue froze all of a sudden: everyone wanted to go up, no one dared to go up, no one went up, it would be bad to neglect Mao Zedong! The head guard hurriedly grabbed the ping-pong bat from a waiter and started fighting with Mao Zedong. This is a real fight. The captain of the guard lashed out left and right, showing no mercy. Mao Zedong conceded the ball again and again, and the spirit went all out at once. Left-right, come-back.Seeing that Mao Zedong had entered the "role", the chief guard took the initiative to let the waiter beside him play. So, the waiters standing aside rushed to the stage to confront Mao Zedong a few times. This is no better than playing basketball, it is clearly a rare good opportunity to be able to play with a great leader once and be lucky for three lifetimes. As a result, the waiters, no matter how skilled in the game, were "defeated" one after another. Mao Zedong won consecutive victories, and became stronger in the Vietnam War. In the end, he even dunked five times in a row, each time was accurate, and forced the opponent to "eat shit". As a result, laughter resounded in and out of the corridors of the hotel. Mao Zedong laughed and burst into tears. However, the happiest person in the arena was the head of the guard, because he once again let Mao Zedong get the best rest. "Mao Zedong is a very emotional person. He usually speaks humorously and pays attention to artistry in his work. This also has a subtle education for our guards. Therefore, when we do things for his old man, we must also be more or less artistic. This is my experience following Mao Zedong for many years, and it is also one of the reasons why Mao Zedong and other leading comrades in the central government praised me for doing a good job.” Li Yinqiao, the head of the guard, told us today. After listening to his story, we also deeply felt this point. 1955 was an important year after the founding of New China.Mao Zedong once described this year in this way: "In 1955, in China, it was the year when socialism and capitalism decided the victory. This decisive battle was first convened by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in March, July and March. It was shown in the three meetings in October. The first half of 1955 was full of smog and haze. But in the second half of 1955, it completely changed and became a different climate. Tens of millions of peasants took action to respond to the party’s The call of the central government is to implement cooperation." At the end of the year, with great enthusiasm, Mao Zedong devoted himself to the editing work of the glorious book "The Socialist Upsurge in Rural China" in three volumes, the first, second, and second volumes, with a total of more than 900,000 words. One hundred and four notes were written. Because the book was to be published in January 1956, the guards saw with their own eyes that Mao Zedong started working day and night to edit the book. There are more than one hundred manuscripts in the whole book, which is a thick stack.Due to the poor text of the manuscript, most of the titles are news-style titles, and some titles are as long as dozens of characters.Mao Zedong was like a teacher revising an elementary school student's composition. He edited each article, sentence by sentence, and paragraph by paragraph. The secretaries knew that he had the habit of working at night, so they always came to his office early the next morning to pick up Mao Zedong's revised manuscripts, and took them to transcribe together with the written notes. For a few days, Mao Zedong also asked the guards to send the materials to the secretariat after dinner. The secretaries felt very strange: "Isn't the chairman sleeping during the day? Why is there another batch of revised manuscripts?" "He hasn't slept for several days," said the guard. "Oh, how can he stand it!" The secretaries became worried, so they advised Mao Zedong to pay attention to rest and not to be too tired when they went to Mao Zedong to collect materials again. At this time, Mao Zedong always smiled and said: "The socialist enthusiasm of the people is so high and the pace is so fast, I can't sleep!" Mao Zedong did speak his mind.At that time, not only Mao Zedong was infected and excited by the high enthusiasm of the broad masses of the people to take the socialist road, but almost all the leaders and staff in Zhongnanhai shared this emotion. "The masses are taking action, how can we still be free?" A kind of high-spirited revolutionary sentiment can be seen and heard everywhere in China at that time from top to bottom. How to make Mao Zedong get a proper rest during this highly emotional process has become a headache for the guards. In the past one or two months, although Mao Zedong ate well, as long as he could fall asleep, he didn't need to take sleeping pills a few times, but after all, he slept too little and was too focused on work.On the one hand, he was excited and excited by the vigorous socialist movement in various places he saw from the materials, and on the other hand, it was indeed caused by the heavy workload and tight time for publishing the book.Except for eating and going to the toilet, Mao Zedong didn't even leave his desk.It takes hours, ten hours, sometimes even longer to sit down. On the night of early winter, the north wind swept into Beijing city with cold air, and swept into Zhongnanhai. The lights of Juxiang Bookstore are still on all night long. Under the window outside the house, guards in coats are quietly guarding their great leader. From their hasty replacement actions, it can be seen that he is not at peace. "Head of the guard, what should we do? The old man hasn't left his desk for two days and two nights!" The guard Xiaotian asked anxiously the head of the guard who came to check the post. "Is your brain moving?" the head guard asked. "I've tried everything, but it just won't work. In the afternoon, Premier Zhou and Jiang Qing came here to try and persuade me, but it still didn't work." The head guard gently pushed open the door of Mao Zedong's office, peeked in through a crack, and closed the door again. "Well, the old man never stops working when he's in the mood." "Head of the guard, you are not wearing cotton-padded clothes, go home and rest," Oda suddenly felt a few drops of water on his face, looked up at the sky above the yard, and said, "Look, it's so cold, it's snowing gone." "Really?" Upon hearing this, the head guard excitedly ran to the center of the yard and stood there for a while, then happily patted Oda on the shoulder, "I have a solution, you go back and rest first, I will be on duty for you." "How can that be done!" "Why not? Do you have a way to let Chairman Mao rest?" The head of the guard took over the first army of Oda, so Oda obediently took off his coat and put it on for the head of the guard, and went back to the dormitory to rest. The snow is getting bigger and bigger quietly, covering the whole earth with a layer of silver. The head guard watched the snowflakes cover the tiled roof and grass outside the yard of Juxiang Bookstore layer by layer... Come down, come down quickly, he stood motionless in the corridor, staring at the snowy night sky, feeling in his heart He was extremely excited because he thought of a secret in Mao Zedong's character: love snow. The chief guard couldn't help but gently chanted Mao Zedong's great poem of great momentum and incomparable poetic flavor. This poem "Qinyuanchun Snow" is the chief guard's favorite poem, not only because the poem itself is well written, but also because he knows that Mao Zedong loves snow as much as he does.I remember it was the winter of 1951. When the first snow fell in Beijing this year, it coincided with the climax of the "Three Antis" and "Five Antis".
