Lin Qiaozhi, also known as Li Mi. Born on December 23, 1901 in a teacher's family in Gulangyu Island, Siming Prefecture, Fujian Province (now Xiamen City).Since childhood, he learned fluent English from his father who was engaged in teaching and English translation.When she was 5 years old, her mother died of cervical cancer, and her father also fell ill because she missed her too much and couldn't bear the complicated housework.The family lives on the salary of the father alone, cutting off the source of income.Fortunately, the eldest brother understands the truth. In order to make a living and allow his younger sister to go to school, he left the university that was about to graduate for more than a year, and returned to Gulangyu Island to seek a way to make a living.The difficult family situation made her go to elementary school two years later than her peers, and she matured earlier than her peers, and she understood the difficulties of life better, and developed a tough, tenacious, stubborn and kind character.In 1908, she entered Shangmeng School (Girls' Primary School), and then she studied in Gulangyu "Shangnv's School" (Huiren School, Gulangyu Girls' High School). Three years later, she was promoted to Gulangyu Higher Women's Normal School. The outstanding students were retained by the school to teach.

In the summer and autumn of 1921, Lin Qiaozhi was admitted to Peking Union Medical College. Graduated in 1929, received a Bachelor of Medicine from Peking Union Medical College and a Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York. He was the only winner of the "Wenhai" scholarship at that time.

Lin Qiaozhi was left in Union Medical College Hospital with outstanding performance and was promoted to a resident physician ahead of schedule. She was sent by the school to study in England in three years. In 1939, she was sent to the United States for advanced studies. In 1940, the United States hired her as a member of the "Natural Science Honor Committee". Soon after returning from the United States, the Pearl Harbor incident broke out and the Union Hospital was occupied by the Japanese army. She was driven out of the hospital together with all the medical staff. . In 1942, she opened Lin Qiaozhi Clinic in Dongtangzi Hutong, Beijing.The outpatient registration fee of the clinic was reduced from 50 cents to 30 cents. For this reason, it was once criticized by colleagues, who pushed all kinds of difficult diseases to Lin Qiaozhi Clinic.In order to reduce the burden on patients, she instead mobilized patients with common diseases to go to the nearest clinic for treatment.At that time, Beiping did not have a decent department of obstetrics and gynecology. The wives, children and girls of the upper class, and the wives and ladies of foreign agencies stationed in China, all sought treatment from Lin Qiaozhi when they were sick.Not long after Lin’s Clinic opened, Zhong Huilan was employed by Zhonghe Hospital (formerly the Central Hospital, now the People’s Hospital of Beijing Medical University) as the chief medical officer. Under his mobilization, Lin Qiaozhi served as the director of the obstetrics and gynecology department of the hospital.At the same time, she recruited her students Tian Xueping, Ge Qinsheng, Wang Wenbin, Liu Chiming, etc. Tian Xueping assisted Lin Qiaozhi in designing the obstetrics and gynecology ward for the hospital. In 1946, he was employed as the director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Peking University School of Medicine.She visits a medical school, a hospital, and a clinic in turn.Exquisite medical skills and good medical ethics made Lin Qiaozhi's reputation as a "living Bodhisattva" spread from east to west, and spread throughout Beijing, becoming a household name.Lin Qiaozhi clinic has 8887 medical records in less than 6 years.

In 1946, Li Zongen, a tropical disease expert and medical educator, was ordered to restore the Union Hospital and established a board of directors consisting of Li Zongen, Li Kehong, Hu Zhengxiang, and Nie Yuchan on behalf of the Chinese side. Hu Zhengxiang, an expert, personally invited Lin Qiaozhi to return to Xiehe Hospital twice. After thinking twice, she resigned from the position of director of the two hospitals, stopped the opening of the clinic, and returned to Xiehe Hospital in 1948. At the same time, she transferred her students back to Xiehe Hospital. division. On January 20, 1951, the Central People's Government and the military took over Union Medical College, and Lin Qiaozhi continued to work in Union Medical College until his death.

In the early 1930s, she conducted research on fetal intrauterine breathing and female pelvic organ diseases; in the late 1940s, she began research on trophoblastic tumors and other gynecological tumors; in the 1950s, she proposed and conducted a large-scale general survey of gynecological diseases. Hemolytic disease of newborns was successfully diagnosed and treated; in the 1960s, a giant tumor weighing 56 catties and 7 taels was successfully removed; in the 1980s, he devoted himself to compiling "Gynecological Oncology".She dedicated her life to the scientific career of obstetrics and gynecology.
