In May, Xi'an broke out a massive "Expel Wu" movement to expel Wu Xintian, the governor of Shaanxi. All schools in Sanyuan immediately responded. Huang Ziwen and his classmates immediately threw themselves into this revolutionary struggle and went on strike and marched. On July 15, Wu Xintian was forced to flee Xi'an. The victory of the "drive out Wu" movement encouraged Ziwen, and made him realize that only by carrying out a thorough struggle can the victory of the revolution be won.Huang Ziwen, who was exposed to the student movement, carefully studied the courses taught by the teacher, and read the progressive books and periodicals such as "Together", "Guide", and "New Youth" that were circulated among the students.
