To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, Contemporary China Publishing House decided to organize the publication of a series of biographical books reflecting the main leaders in the history of the Communist Party of China, focusing on their achievements and contributions during their tenure.I happily accepted their invitation to write a book about General Secretary Zhang Wentian. Zhang Wentian took office as General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee from the Zunyi Meeting, and gradually handed over the power of the Party Central Committee to Mao Zedong at the Sixth Plenary Session of the Sixth Central Committee. These three and a half years were the most glorious period in his life. It was his commitment to China. The revolution is the period of making the greatest contribution to the Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese nation.In the published "Biography of Zhang Wentian", I used five chapters from the ninth to the thirteenth chapters to describe the history of this great turning point.Writing a book on the topic of "General Secretary Zhang Wentian" this time gave me an opportunity to further enrich and improve on the original basis.After the manuscript was written, it was decided to use "The Turning Moment - Zhang Wentian in 1935-1943" as the title of the book for publication, which had no effect on the theme, structure and content of the book.

Regarding the history of Zhang Wentian being elected as the general secretary of the Party Central Committee at the Zunyi Conference held during the Long March and his cooperation with Mao Zedong to lead the Long March to victory, when I commemorated the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Long March, I wrote "Maoluo Cooperation and The book "Long March Victory" is reviewed in more detail and submitted to Hebei People's Publishing House for publication.The first part of this book, "History Chooses Zhang Wentian", is supplemented and revised on the basis of this book.The middle part of this book, "Staging the Burden of History", is greatly enriched and processed on the basis of relevant chapters in "The Biography of Zhang Wentian".The next part of this book, "After Completing the Historical Mission", is reorganized and compiled according to the requirements of logic and historical unity.
