直到九天玄女大喝一声，并将松明点燃，但轩辕黄帝已经在嫫母身上发泄完了情欲，他满脸大汗，看着九天玄女愤怒的面颊，透过忽闪忽闪的火光，轩辕惊讶万分，他看看倒在地上赤裸着的嫫母，惊讶万分地道：“怎么……是你？” 嫫母两眼含泪：“你……你……”她慌忙用一片麻布盖住身体，一个咕噜爬了起来，躲在了九天玄女的身后。 九天玄女她长叹了一声，走到那张床前，将那部《玄女经》捡拾起来道：“我不让你看，你却偏偏看，这回你可闯下了大祸！那太山稽本是天皇伏羲敬重的人，嫫母是太山稽唯一的女儿，在他的眼中，将嫫母看似掌上明珠，可是，你却在我这里……我……我怎么跟太山稽和伏羲交待？” 黄帝来回看着嫫母和玄女，结结巴巴地道：“我……我没看清楚……我以为……” 九天玄女正色道：“以为什么？以为她是我吗？我虽然已经是过来的妇人，是我你就可以随便地胡想什么吗？”玄女说完，将脸转过去，用手抱住嫫母，不断地拍她的肩膀，好像怕她被吓着一般。过了一会儿，玄女转过身来，对黄帝道：“人做错了事，必然是要负责的，即便你是黄帝，也是一样。现在，嫫母的身子已经被你污染，你应该怎么对她，好好想想吧！你会让我对伏羲有所交待吧！”说完了狠狠地瞪了他一眼，领着嫫母回自己的房中去。 次日，黄帝一早便在玄女房间的外面等待。玄女和嫫母起来，玄女让轩辕黄帝进了大殿。问轩辕道：“想好了吗？你打算怎么样对待嫫母？” 轩辕道：“想好了，我想娶嫫母为妻。和她成正式的夫妇。虽然我的家中已经有了一个妻子，叫嫘祖，我会说服嫘祖接纳嫫母的。” 玄女听了，刚才还是冷冷的面孔，登时变得春意盎然起来。她赞道：“这才像个男人，是个敢作敢当的男人，是一条汉子。看来，我没有看错你。”说完了，她看着嫫母道：“他有家室，以前我便知晓。他能这样做了，也算是对你负责了。这轩辕也是人中龙凤，本是雷电成孕的神童，自小研究龟甲之文，很早就成了神农大国中穷桑部落的首领，现在神农已经将部落联盟让给了他，虽然几次与蚩尤作战不利，可他相比蚩尤占尽了天机，战胜蚩尤是早晚之事。你一生中能与此人成为夫妇也不算辱没了你，想你的父亲和天皇伏羲应该是满意的了！” 那嫫母却是红着脸瞪着小眼睛没有说话。玄女明白其意，叹了一声道：“我们人类本是从杂乱交配的状态下走出来的，从杂交群交到族外群交，都用了漫长的岁月。伏羲创立太昊以来，才有了婚姻一说。从群交制变成了对偶制，用月老来约束婚姻。所以一个女人有几个男人或者一个男人有几个女人都是正常的事。伏羲和神农那是特殊的人物，两个人倡导的一夫一妻制虽然好，可是大多数人还是不适应的。轩辕也是个人，他与嫘祖成婚在前，而昨天晚上发生在你身上的事情也事出有因，有些怪我了。现在你们已经合身一处，白头偕老。轩辕所说，已经是最好的解决办法了！” 嫫母这时才点头道：“我听师父的！” 玄女道：“好，一会儿我便去山顶见你父亲太山稽说了此事，然后你就可以跟随轩辕黄帝下山了！”说完转过脸来对轩辕道：“你和嫫母的事，我便是证人。你必须全心全意地对嫫母好，就像你以前对待嫘祖一样，能做到吗？” 轩辕黄帝道：“天女尽管放心，轩辕定然是说到做到的！” 九天玄女笑了道：“那好！以后我们便是一家人了。嫫母，以后他就是你的夫君了。如果他哪里敢对不起你，你就告诉我，我饶不了这个轩辕的！” 嫫母看看轩辕，脸色又红了起来，可见少女多情了。轩辕皇帝便坐下来。问玄女道：“天女，我知道你与我外公交好，有一事我还是想问，天皇伏羲既然早知我与蚩尤战事，为何他总不愿告于我呢？如你昨日所言，如果我早知道神农会将天下让给我，我和他何苦弄得这般呢？”轩辕说着，很是痛苦。 玄女长叹一声道：“我已经说过，他近日也未在昆仑，他去寻找女娲啦！” 黄帝惊道：“什么？我外祖婆没与他在一起吗？” 玄女又叹道：“说起来，也是因这《玄女经》而起！”
