这天，天上只有几朵彩云，天是温和的，那一束太阳的光线从云层后面钻出来照在女登的脸上。女登向天上望去，就和那天她在华山上看到的景色一样，蓝天、大地，只是有几朵红云、黄云、白云、黑云在飞舞。 此时，女娲正在成纪，与栗陆一起指挥一些族人在那里打井。栗陆是潜龙氏，要负责和水有关的事宜，因此来和女娲研究打井之事。这井已经打了好些日子，而且是打了好几个地方，可是却总是不见水，栗陆有些着急，就将女娲请来指点。女娲道：“你打井的这些地方是不是没有水啊？” 栗陆道：“不可能吧，离这里不远的地方都有清泉溢出来，这里怎么会没有水呢？” 正说之间，突然在井里的族人喊道：“见水了，这水太汪了，赶紧拉我上去。” 另外的几眼井的族人也喊：“这井中都有水了！” 水出和水通的时间，与女登孩子诞生的时间是一致的。女娲和栗陆都很奇怪，这么多天打了十几眼井，都不见水，怎么会同时见水了呢？ 两个人正在困惑，突然看见少典与伏宝欢快地跑了过来。女娲问：“女登呢？” 少典说：“在蓝田地里呢！” 女娲问：“那你们怎么回来了？” 关于这件事，在古神话或传说或故事里都有记载。晋皇甫谧《帝王世纪》道：“炎帝神农氏，姜姓也，母曰任姒，有蟜氏之女，名女登，为少典正妃。游华山之阳，有神龙首，感女登于常羊，生炎帝，始教天下种谷，故人号曰神农氏。”《水经注》曰：“神农既诞，九井自穿，汲一井则众水动。”书中所说神农既是女登所生之子，因其善于谷物，教人开拓农耕，人们称其为神农，后为炎帝。 话说这女登之子魁隗一天天长大，非常讨人喜爱。特别是女娲，对魁隗的疼爱超过了对自己的任何一个孩子的疼爱了。当她得知女登已经生了孩子的时候，再也顾不得部落的事，终于亲自去常羊山，将女登接回了成纪。她让女登在成纪静养一些日子，每日里自己抱着小魁隗在部落里转。魁隗笑的时候她也跟着笑，魁隗将尿撒在她身上的时候，她竟去闻了闻说：“这小魁隗啊，尿都是香的。” 伏羲回来，也抱着小魁隗转，对魁隗道：“魁隗快会说话了吧。过去我给族人讲姓氏和称呼时，是怎么讲的，这小魁隗应该给我叫什么？” 女娲道：“你看你天天竟忙些什么了，连孩子应该给你叫什么都忘了。” 女娲说着，将小魁隗接过来道：“魁隗，快，给我叫外婆。啊！叫啊！”又指着伏羲道：“这个人，你没必要认识。” 她的话把伏羲气笑了。他上前将孩子抢过来道：“小魁隗，我知道了，你应该叫我外公。我当外公啦！哈哈……”伏羲大笑起来。 女娲对伏羲道：“这些日子，我发现了一件事，得跟你说说，你看看怎么办。女登自有孩子以后，很少跟少典说话。我问她为什么这样，女登说，少典不关心她，所以她也不愿意理少典。可我去问少典，少典却什么也不说。我就在后面偷着盯了少典几日，我发现，咱女儿伏宝竟然与少典玩得很快乐。你说这事怎么办？” 伏羲道：“怎么能有这种事？”他见女娲不答，就在地上转了一圈道，“还是别急，先看看再说！” 晚上，女娲又与伏羲讲起这些孩子的事情，伏羲感慨地道：“真想不到这日子过得是真快啊！我在外面闯荡天下这许多年，女登、姬伯、伏宝、少俞、伯高、宓都渐渐地长大了，而女登竟然都有了孩子，而且这小魁隗都这么高了！”说着，还用手比划着魁隗的长短。女娲白了他一眼，却点点头。 女娲很生气，道：“那河图、洛数、八卦等事，并不是谁想学就能学成的，我跟了你父亲这么多年，他也不时地在我跟前说起河图、洛数、八卦方面的事，可我到现在也是半懂不懂。这些东西，是你父亲一生求索的精髓，不是那么容易明白的。还有你所说的武术，都与人的体魄有关，属于男孩子应该掌握的那种。女孩子因为体能与男人不同，学习这些更不容易。再说了，制陶这件事也不是简单的事，又用泥又做陶，要掌握火候，每一件事都是很有分寸的，你学好了做陶，对你也绝不是坏事。” “我不学制陶！”伏宝大声地打断了女娲的话道，“制陶用火用泥，谁人不会。” 女娲的声音也大了起来，道：“我再说一遍，用泥有泥质之分，用火有火候之道，你都懂吗？” 伏宝将嘴噘起，极不快乐地道：“父亲干嘛非把河图、洛数、八卦、九针还有那些个武功传给姬伯和少俞呢？难道我是女孩子就不传我了吗？如果你们不让我学，我就跟着少典学。” 女娲更生气了，道：“你这孩子，怎么这么不听话？” 伏羲见女娲生气了，看着伏宝道：“好，我让你跟着我学。或者你跟着你姬伯兄长学也行，但是有一件事你要做到，你要学，每天就要跟我和你兄姬伯在一起，我们去华山的时候你就去华山，我们去昆仑山的时候你也去昆仑山。” 伏宝却说：“我不去，我要先跟我姐父学武术。” 伏羲道：“少典是你姐夫，他需要陪你姐姐，你怎么能天天和他在一起呢？再说了，如果你真想学武术的话，你的兄长姬伯的武功不是比少典还强吗？那你以后就跟他学吧！” 伏宝道：“我才不跟着姬伯学呢，你们看他那个样子，好像全部落里的人就他能似的。” 伏羲瞪眼道：“那你究竟想怎么样？天天和你姐夫在一起吗？我告诉你，那不可能。” 伏宝看见伏羲瞪起眼睛，“哇”地一声哭了，自己竟然跑了出去。 伏羲看着伏宝的身影，摇摇头道：“这个孩子，怎么变得这个样子了？” 女娲叹曰：“女儿大了，便不由父母。” 伏羲点头道：“她这个事也不只是她的事，和少典也是有关系的，少典，你说是不是？” 少典竟是不吭声，也低头出去了。 女娲望着少典的背影道：“少典虽然是我们的女婿，可毕竟不是我亲生的，自己亲生的孩子都没管好，你怎么这样直白地去责怪他？” 伏羲却道：“可少典毕竟也是咱们家的一员了，而且也是我一手从昆仑山上带大的，和自己的孩子有什么不同？伏宝毕竟小些，还是个孩子，说一说少典，有何不可？” 女娲道：“你说少典是咱家的一员，可如果少典问你要那河图、洛数、八卦和九针，你能给他吗？” 伏羲道：“即便是我们的孩子，我的东西也不是全都给的，这也要看孩子是哪块料了。他不是这块料，而你又给了他，这岂不是又耽误了孩子许多时日。” 女娲道：“你总是有理的。你既然将伏宝看成孩子，为什么还瞪眼睛呢？看你，一瞪眼孩子就害怕，这会儿不知道去哪了呢？以后孩子你还是少管，还是由我来慢慢地管教她吧。” 伏羲叹了一声道：“也罢！”说完了搓搓手，来回踱了几步道，“那我今天就走了？” 女娲问：“去哪里？” 伏羲道：“昆仑山。” 女娲叹了一口气道：“有事就走，自己去找清静，把这些乱事都扔给我了。” 伏羲笑道：“你不是不让我管吗？我出去也并非是找清静，我有我的事做啊！在距离昆仑山不算太远的地方还有一座山，叫做须弥山，真是太高了，越往山上去，就已经看不见绿草和水，几乎全是冰雪，我到现在已经爬了几次，还没爬到顶呢！” 女娲道：“探求自然是好事，但你一定要小心一些才好啊！这么高的山，我看以后你就别去登了，昆仑山也够高吧，你到了昆仑之顶也就够用了。又找到了什么须弥山，哎！要真得想上天上去，也不一定就走一条道吧？” 伏羲笑了，道：“夫人指点的是啊！”
